They are surveillance companies larping as advocates of freedom of speech and privacy. Nothing but clever marketing and a game of shell VPN brands all controlled by the same owners. Chinese-based companies own over 50% of all VPN services. The top 97 VPN services are all owned by only 23 parent companies. TOR is also compromised.

Decentralized, permissionless, open-source dVPN protocols are going to replace all these honeypot centralized VPN networks. This is a disruption of the VPN market sector that is projected to reach $111 Billion in 2028. What Uber did to taxis, Sentinel will do to centralized VPN services. Participating in the early network building stages is key. Run nodes and earn tokens for your unused bandwidth, stake your dVPN tokens to secure the network early to take advantage of initial high APY (or add to DEX liquidity pools) and in a couple years you and your kids will be set.

none, it's literally altruism only. that's why it's flawed. obviously glowies with a vested interest in compromising the network will outnumber altruistic nerds.
check out oxen/lokinet. in order to compromise their onion routing it would require a ton of nodes, in order to have a ton of nodes it would require buying TONS of the token and locking it up, and because malicious actors are easily uncovered, this means malicious exit nodes would be shooting themselves in the foot to the tune of millions in order to pull off the same sybil attacks happening to tor nodes.
DYOR, thank me later.

The cracking of Enigma was not revealed publicly for 30 years. You really think the surveillance state is not running any TOR nodes? TOR traffic correlation techniques have been known about since 2013.
>>
>>41863124
If tor was compromised there would be a lot more arrests happening and lol @ believing the FBI dropped the case to avoid disclosing the vulnerability. The FBI doesn't have to disclose the real reason, it was probably because their evidence was shaky at best.
>>
>>41863426
arrests can be easily made with parallel evidence construction. You think a pedo or a drug ring is worth disclosing vulnerability details? In a global surveillance economy, the most valuable thing you can have is the trust of people that are trying to hide.

also this is mega retarded
if the fbi had an exploit to shut down every single dnm it would, instantly, and it has happened before, but the exploits have been patched, and there are ways that dnm's can still protect themselves and their customers from exploits like them even if they do exist
otherwise project is good and tor is indeed full of bugs

>" CONCLUSION: We design a flow correlation system, called DeepCorr, that drastically outperforms the state-of-the-art systems in correlating Tor connections. DeepCorr leverages an advanced deep learning architecture to learn a flow correlation function tailored to Tor’s complex network (as opposed to previous works’ use of general-purpose statistical correlation metrics). We show that with adequate learning, DeepCorr can correlate Tor connections (and therefore break
its anonymity) with accuracies significantly stronger than existing algorithms, and using substantially shorter lengths of flow observations. We hope that our work demonstrates the escalating threat of flow correlation attacks on Tor in rise of advanced learning algorithms, and calls for the deployment of effective countermeasures by the Tor community."

Lol these people are dumb as fuck. Tor is a military communications platform circa 2010 that was compromised so fucking long ago.

Cia lost hundreds of assets and people so they developed bitcoin as a messaging system based off of the Tor network with incentives to keep the network going.....

Then they made Monero for the same reasons. The glowies have been advertising crypto to drug dealers so they could track them down and perfect an anonymous messaging system.

Honestly it'll probably be Doge with the new node update. But they need it incentive people running nodes.
