So this might be impossible, but any recommendations on gold coins or gold backs that can be purchased for $50 or less?
>>41858921Sure buddy...1/20 gold coin kek
I’m I rich yet?
>>41859021I used to buy up 2 mexican gold peso coins (~1/20 or .05 toz) but they're going for double spot right now... It's the only reason why I'm asking in the first place.
>>41858072>throw it all inside a refinery to make a big ass kilo bar.Just one? Most silver items out there are nothing special and only made more desirable and liquid by refining, but the high quality pieces absolutely should be preserved and enjoyed. The great aesthetic potential of silver is showcased beautifully in well made objects. I'm not a big fan of .800 but anything from .826 on up is very pleasing to look at. The .826-.835 silver is bluer or "cooler" than the warmer luster of sterling but very classy IMHO. You definitely won't be disappointed with having some big beautiful pieces of quality antique silver gracing your home.>>41858411I prefer buried deep on your property, with plates of junk metal or big pieces of cast iron buried above and around in the vicinity to mask the signal and discourage potential detectorists.
>>41858021i wish i had some silver bowls and platters, goblets and the like

>>41859326some of them are pretty affordable. Go on Ebay.
>>41859417Nice work on the jewelry you've been making, didn't you make a Cuban(?) link chain too? I've done some basic casting but nothing fancy, keep it up you seem good at it.
I would say that I finally found a dildo that would pleasure the ass for OP...but I don't want to shove it up my own ass. I'm sure those copper stackers out there would appreciate this though, as they seem to fit the bill.
>>41859434Just from that pic I'm not sure. It looks like the repousse was done by hand but if it's all the same gauge sheet metal right up to the edge it's lower quality, kinda hard to explain but the better pieces had thick heavy rims whereas more standard pieces had hollow rolled edges or thin/sharp abrupt edges.
>>41859755I know what you mean. The edges typically were separate pieces that were melded together to the main dish, typically the handles being much more thicker and much more artistic in their designs. Before I moved from Missouri, I went to the Saint Louis Art Museum. After comparing it to Texas, it was surprising to see that Missouri's museum had an extremely elaborate collection of extremely gaudy sterling silver sets. It was so impressed, that nothing I can find on Ebay can even compare.
>>41859842It was so impressive*
evening all, Au and Ag did well today, hopefully there isnt an instand slam down tomorrow!
Social Securitty raised YoY cost of living to 6% today, implying inflation is here.If there is 6% inflation, that means interest rates need to raise.Low interest rates are the lifeblood of zombie businesses and, more importantly, REAL ESTATE.Is this the needed needle for the everything bubble?
>>41859872see if we can hold until Monday at least, always nervous after a pump now
>>41859842>nothing I can find on Ebay can even compareI'd like to, but haven't visited any museum silver exhibits before. I bet this enormous Tiffany set would be worthy for such a display though.
>>41860245Yes that would definitely match the rest of the collection.

>>41859920No one? I unironically am thinking the next step of inflation is deflation.
>>41858468Governments and central banks unironically could not give the slightest fuck about silver because it's not valuable and not dense. Most human beings couldn't even carry 1000oz of silver which is what, $20,000? They don't care.A billion dollars of gold could easily fit into the trunk of a car and that is a huge problem for them.
>>41859920>Is this the needed needle for the everything bubble?maybe
>>41860752Thank you for confirming maybe there are 2 sane people in clown world today.>Cost of living goes from zero per year to 6%>Interest rates go from 2% to 6%>No new buyers can afford the monthly payments>House prices plummet.

>>41860732>A billion dollars of gold could easily fit into the trunk of a car and that is a huge problem for themNigga, someone with 17 tons of gold in the trunk of their car isn't going anywhere and certainly won't be a problem for anyone but themselves.

>>41860679bumping this question, maybe I can ask for $50 cheaper?
>>41860666>>41860888Checked. Looking forward to discount silver on Monday!
>>41860876'Maybe' is the most appropriate answer. We'll see. My understanding is low rates and free money is the only trick the Fed has left in its back pocket, which is failing if inflation is 'real'.I wouldn't care if I weren't thinking of purchasing a home in the next year or two.
>>41858078based. there's nothing quite like holding a solid oz of gold. a 10oz silver loaf comes close, but the exp is tainted by the fact that 10oz of silver is only worth about 15% of a fat gold oz
>>41860954We're looking now, and putting everything else into bullion. We don't trust the market OR cash. Better commodities/homes and be in negative equity than see all the numbers in the stock market go to 0.

>>41859210Sterling is 92.5%, you seem to be implying it has a lower silver content than 80%.
>>41860679Note that the weight of the knotted lanyard and bead is included in the weight. I have no experience with Chinese PMs so even if legit you're looking at $100+/gram gold which would not interest me as an investment or hedge, but if you think it's awesome and want to wear it I see no problem.
>>41861029unironically wait till it crashes and go hard on stocks. that's not to say PM's or cryptos are not great investments, but they're better bought in good times when millions of retards aren't scrambling for them cuz>muh inflation

>>41861029Yes sir, I'm in the same boat.Everything I can pry away from the wife and kids goes into PM or preps as I wait out for the depression. We have a paid off house and we're both gainfully employed and live under our means. As >>41861100 insinuates, I see similarities to 2008.>It's just inflation>It's just money>It's just the new normalThen>I lost my job due to the recession>I lost my car due to the recession>I lost my house due to the recession>I lost my wife due to the recession
>>41860956No kidding, I thought my 1/4 oz maples were pretty dense but it didn't put it into perspective until I held something this large.
>>41861075Wut? No, I was just sharing my opinion that .800 is not as attractive as higher fineness alloys. I like the ~.830 stuff but will always love sterling.

So if you recut it you'd have to send it off to a lab to get it recertified at the new shape/size.

>>41861395I'd love a couple rubies and emeralds to juice up my stack, but I don't know enough about gems to determine if this is sketchy or not. If any 3rd party can confirm legitness I'd consider buying in.
>>41866094Not trying to diss this anon's business, wish him luck, but to be fair it's a subscription box. He makes money because overall the items he sends out to customers and shipping costs are less than the money he gets in revenue.
>>41865802Pretty close to a social credit system desu.
>>41866172Yeah, it is a business, I'm making a profit.I have contacts that purchase the gems in Thailand in bulk and have them sent to me which lets me get them at a cheap rate. You could get them for cheap if you did that too but most people don't want hundreds of gems, they just want a couple.
>>41866476its really fun ordering bulk sapphires from Sri Lanka. I did that a few times years ago through an Ebay dealer and ended up with some very nice pieces for displays. Nothing ultra gem quality but neat stones to have in general.
>>41866094I do really like the vast majority of gems accumulated for this so far.On ordering you have the option to pick any kind you want or don't want, I'd suggest against the Emeralds as they're low quality but everything else looks really good imo.The majority of the rubies and sapphires are cut for size, not symmetry so they're a bit uniquely sharpen, but I like that about them.some are cut really nicely.
>>41866094also most of the sapphires are pink sapphires, so let that effect your decision on the sapphires. like 75% of them atm so odds are you'd get a pink one.
>>41865700As an American I made a purchase from perthmint.com where they sell semi numismatic and other collectables. I was able to purchase the proof versions of the 2022 Lunar Tiger in both gold (1/4oz) and silver (1oz) for less than what US dealers wanted for the 1/4oz gold proof alone. And it included free shipping to the states. I couldn't figure out how to browse but they also have a bullion site perthmintbullion.com. If you're near Perth you could also check out the mint.

Definitely not my personal style though.I personally gravitate towards more plain and masculine silver like my 12" diameter octagonal centerpiece bowl on the bottom here, 1,640 grams of honest and very heavy duty sterling. It's my favorite piece among like 40 kilos worth of antique sterling items I've saved as-is. The Revere reproduction sterling can be quite nice too and is more common and affordable.

>>41871244I like this one the most, thanks!
>>41876164With the ETF, there is usually a clause where you can cash in the ETF shares for the underlying asset. The catch is that you can only do this in large 'blocks' of the ETF, which is generally out of the range of your average /pmg/ denizen.
>>41875760>>41876164So silver (and gold) ETFs specifically are terrible. They're based practically entirely on futures contracts that, should people attempt to actually redeem, would default. In fact, by buying silver ETFs, you are actually handing your money over to a bank that will proceed to open a short position with the money you just gave them!https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/mbx510/slv_is_a_complete_scam_its_a_scalp_trade_set_up/HOWEVER, ETVs (exchange-traded vehicles) on the other hand actually DO entitle you to the underlying asset and are governed under a completely different series of regulations. The only major offerer of gold and silver ETV is Sprott, which runs a physical silver bullion under the ticker PSLV. If you own 1 share of PSLV you own (at present) .3562 troy ounces of silver. It's under the custody of the Royal Canadian Mint and Sprott, Inc., but you are the legal owner of it under U.S. and Canadian law.Of course, as >>41875943 was apt to point out, that still doesn't solve the problem of actually having access to it. If there's a nuclear war tomorrow, good luck getting your way to Ottawa before it's looted. If you're just looking at silver as an investment/hedging vehicle though and aren't terribly concerned about counterparty risk, it's a attractive proposition.>>41877536That's only kind of true with PM ETFs. SLV (by far the most popular) does have such a clause, BUT the only entities allowed to withdraw silver from it are Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and a few other major banks. Almost all of whom have been convicted in court of PM manipulation. Make of that what you will.

>>41877536>>41877689Thanks for the info. I hadn't heard of those specific clauses yet. I invest in three ETFs unrelated to PM and you can't just trade them in for the underlying assets. At least none of the documents they send me every month mention it.
>>41877825It's usually in the prospectus, rather than in the quarterly/annual reports. As >>41877689 pointed out, they may require that only certain market participants (banks) perform the swap. Good luck accumulating enough shares *and* convincing one of these big boys to help you get the underlying. (For the reasons everyone here knows.)Not sure about the other related instruments (ETV, ETN, etc) all of which have their own rules. The prospectus should spell it all out, but the language is often not very clear (deliberately), or the conditions are made somewhat onerous.
>>41877739Pretty reasonable position, but she is including the weight of the knotted lanyard thing with the 4.29g total weight which is clearly Semitic. If you shop around on eBay and use your eyes you can find actual below-spot gold cheapies. I got pic for like $15 shipped while looking for cheap silver, the dumbass had no idea the chunky brooch was solid 10k.
>>41877689>>41877825>>41877956I should also mention that the Sprott trusts have very clear redemption criteria:https://sprott.com/investment-strategies/physical-bullion-trusts/how-to-redeem/For PSLV, it's 10,000 ounces. So if you were just wanting to buy PSLV and immediately turn it into physical, you'd be better off buying a 5,000 ounce futures contract instead. Sounds like a lot but you have to keep in mind that retail is pretty small fish in the financial system, and PMs are no exception.

It would be fun to have a bunch of bizbros in a chat that is not COMPLETELY anonymous, because if you always reserve the option to shoot them a DM.For awhile the group will solely be composed of bizbros. Launch will occur in about a month but I highly encourage anyone interested in this concept to shoot me a DM on telegram at @Trillest45 . We watched in the distance of some truck that pulled up to a construction site and tossed a bunch of copper pipe in the back of it and quickly watched it just dart off in a pitch of black smoke. My boss saw it too and he said "I don't even give a shit, fuck it. I enjoyed seeing a green field in front of the store and those assholes have to pay somehow for coming and ruining our view" KEK
What value is there in graded ASEs over loose ASEs if any?
>>41882645Graded ASE's make you look like a cuck and take up more space.Loose ASE's are chad and allow you to stack more wealth. Also no one gives a fuck about whether your brand new 2021 1 oz coin was MS 70 or 69. Buy ounces not stickers.
stacked 100oz of silver today. Small diversification from cryptos gains.you /pmg boomers better be right
>>41875471Idk man... Canada makes 20 million maples a yearUS makes about 15 million eagles a yearAnd the Chinese population of a billion all get the first pick so I feel like demand:mintage ratio is pretty goodIts DEFINITELY not the highest. US made 30 million eagles in 2020
>>41883092I never realized canabucks are that worthless. At least you got out.
>>41883024How about if I have the ability to get my ASEs graded and not pay the cost? It's out of my possession for a month and a half.
>>41883092should have bought gold
Anyone ever go into malls and cringe from the retards who buy gold-plated bullshit?
>>41883340Why would you get them graded? It's literally a $30 bullion coin, millions are produced every year. It's like grading your used toilet paper; It doesn't make it any more valuable and it takes up more space. If you want to get them graded go ahead but you're essentially just making the coin 3x harder to store in bulk compared to stacking dense tubes.
>>41883340Anon, on average it costs about $35 to have a single coin graded. An uncirculated 1996 ASE, the rarest year, is worth $60. Since ASEs don't circulate all of the dates can be obtained in high mint state just from ordinary purchases. Grading is pointless when 90% of all ASEs are would probably grade as MS 69 or 70 if they were graded. There's no need to waste money on what are essentially fancy coin holders.
>>41883092Lmao that's almost $1000 more than US pricesEven if you convert prices that's $200 more than it would be in USDAlso you're retarded if you think (key word if) that we're saying you're gonna get massive gains on silver Silver and gold Is for very long term profit and store of value.
>>41883340>>41883518>>41883566Step aside peasants
>>41883092>Decides to get into silver >Buys it as 1 barFuck off back to crypto
New delivery today! These really fucked up my average premium per ounce but they're pretty cool to have.
>>41877739I would just like to let you all know that I was wise enough after attempting to bargain with that bitch to deny the offer of that gold necklace. I'll find something more reasonably priced that matches the dollar with the logical amount of gold.
