can some one look at this scenario at tell me if it'll work? Im looking to lever up using alternative methods, this is all in a reg t margin account with 25k in it.

Buy 25k worth of a bond etf that doesnt move, $SHV for example. Borrow/withdraw 25k against said etf shares on margin. Immediately Sell an equivalent value of $SPX box spreads to repay margin loan.

I'm not quite sure what happens after this. Can i sell the bond etf and withdraw the 25k? Can i transfer the original margin loan back into the brokerage account and repeat the process? My goal is to lever up to 100k.

Space stocks will be garbage. There are literally hundreds of "startups" in the space and the most successful ones will likely never need to IPO. Development and launch cycles are measured in years, backended to decades. Most will fail.
Space stocks are the new weed stocks. Start shorting after every pump (probably related to launches).

>>
>>37380302
>Right now is when you invest into space if you want to be a billionaire
No it isn't. This is not a sector with any surprises that aren't tied to well advertised in advanced launches. That are either successful or blow up and then you wait another few years for the next big "catalyst".
Space is low margin and high startup costs, and none of that will be "solved" by SpaceX memes (hint: the operating margins are related to fuel not rocket usability). Publicly traded space related startups are going to raise funds with cash raises, likely near pumps into launches. The most promising of them are likely fueled by private capital with little need for public markets. There are HUNDREDS of these. Most will fail, including publicly listed ones. Actually those are more likely to fail long term since they had to raise public funds.
The years between significant project movements will be a slow bleed of investor capital. These are basically the zoomie version of DUDE WEED of millenials.
>not when its already a proven success.
It is, it is why we have satellites in space. But you are clearly in it for "hype" with zero understanding of the space.
I made respectable money shorting ACIC and RTP. And I will continue to grow my shorting repertoire from space memes.
I am bullish on the sector, but not on publicly traded space equities. Period.

So basically, the market liked that the increase in inflation was less than last month and it thinks the area where it increased the most was just transitory.

I'm still confused about how QE and tapering plays into this.

Simple as. So long as inflation doesn't run wild and is deemed transitiory the QE can continue. Markets like QE. If inflation goes up too much, QE has to be tapered down because QE can be a cause of inflation.

Lads let me know if I'm nuts but MindMed seems like a solid hold for a while with probably a lot of short term profit.
They've got a lot of psychedelic based treatments in trials right now and a lot of the bearish arguments against them are absolute misunderstandings of how their drugs work. The trend already looks good for legalization of LSD or MDMA or psilocybin at least for medical purposes by about 2025 at the latest, add that to an opioid epidemic and a company which currently has a market cap in the hundreds of millions when the market for addiction is between 10-20 billion and this ought to be good long term.
In the short term, only a few days ago MindMed was added to the Russell 3000, so that should mean ETFs and hedge funds will get in on the trading.
I'm seeing a lot of upsides here for relatively low risk, at least in the short term. Feel free to add a bearish argument though, I'm not claiming it's a sure thing by any means.
>>
>>37382852
>GME memes

>>

You can't get a patent on LSD or MDMA or psilocybin.
>>
>>37382676
I have a feeling it's a pump and dump before the lockup ends on Monday though.
>>
>>37383176
I know that. The treatments are based on the way they work, not identical drugs. They're obviously not outright using LSD since an 8 hour therapy session won't be practical kek.
Freeing up psychedelics for therapy would be a huge boost to the market and we are heading in that direction with traditional psychedelics anyway, is the point.
>>
>>37383121
Got in MMED before the uplisting, got 100% returns and never looked back. It's a reddit PnD. It has good upsides, but I'm too lazy to type those down. Basically, I'm not going to hold it because the downsides are bigger. Look the DD on seeking alpha.
>>

>>37383179
i never sold and my avg purchase price is about $8.60 so im waiting it out i actually think regardless of meme reddit pumps it will naturally climb to over $20 within this year anyway. its got good assets, cash flow, and growth
>>
>>37383251
(At least, they're not using LSD in the doses that you would get them for recreational uses)
One current treatment proposed appears to be an ibogaine derivative, but nonetheless the market looks good, especially once regulations are wound back.
>>
>In the short term, only a few days ago MindMed was added to the Russell 3000, so that should mean ETFs and hedge funds will get in on the trading.
Hedgies are now allowed to short it. kek, have fun averaging down.
>>
>>37383291
The seekingalpha article was one I read a couple nights ago and thought it was a bit poorly researched in places.
He seemed to misunderstand the idea behind the treatment for one, and really overstated the risks involved in the therapy, as well as not mentioning that the CEO didnt dump his shares but because he was using them for a loan and they were also bringing in their development guy (I think) as the new CEO.
I could be completely wrong about all this of course and maybe it is going to go bust. I will admit I don't like their association with Deepak Chopra, but he does bring in profit with his audience at least.
>>

>>
>>37383409

>>37383451
Yes. Why would I buy now when I can just buy 1 or 2 years from now when the shroom hype already died down? MMED is currently at 3 dollars per share. A company with revenue, no working product, nothing. If I were to buy in I would wait.
>>
>>37383500
No of course not $20 billion. In the billions yes, assuming some of their products get through the FDA approval process. There's a huge demand for treating addiction right now and it isn't being met.
>why buy now
Fair enough. I suppose I'm seeing a 10-20% growth in the short term, so I may sell some shares in the future, but if I'm wrong I'll take the loss like a man at least.
The reason I don't think hype will die down in a few years is because the research is going to push towards greater use of psychedelics in therapy in general because they're so low risk and basically have no business being classed like heroin, so I would assume that would cause greater hype, not less hype.
I'm only throwing ideas around here though, it's not like anyone can predict anything in this market.

>On the basis of the change in depression scores on the QIDS-SR-16 at week 6, this trial did not show a significant difference in antidepressant effects between psilocybin and escitalopram in a selected group of patients. Secondary outcomes generally favored psilocybin over escitalopram, but the analyses of these outcomes lacked correction for multiple comparisons. Larger and longer trials are required to compare psilocybin with established antidepressants.
no statistical significance. given it's only 6 weeks., so maybe improvement long term is possible. But I am always wary for the long term, mostt difficult drugs dont make it long term
>>
>>37383976
No statistical difference in terms of the depression scores. However, there is no addiction risk, thus they're more efficient. It's a good start for the field. Looks promising.
>>
>>37383976
Yeah that's a very bullish sign though since psilocybin is far cheaper since it's naturally occurring, very low risk, and most likely lacks side effects of many other antidepressants. If it's producing statistically similar results in treating depression then it's a great opportunity to undercut the market.

I've noticed the inflation in the grocery store. The chicken thighs that used to be $0.79 a pound are like $1.19 a pound now. I swear I walk through the grocery store and I feel like I'm in Canada.
>>
I have huge financial anxiety, despite having a fair amount of money, and sometimes I just don't buy groceries and eat one small meal a day because I don't want to spend the money, and I get anxious about going to the supermarket and having to ask the workers where things are, and having to spend money, and not being able to find everything...

But yesterday I finally sacked up and made a delivery order for the groceries, I got a ton delivered, and I'm gonna go to the grocery store now in small trips, just to replenish, so I don't get overwhelmed. And I finally ate a nice homecooked meal. Feels good. I'm really proud of myself.

nice anon. my local store does a pickup service for $3 which i really enjoy. i browse through all of the isles / on sale stuff, buying small quantities of lots of stuff that i wouldn't want to search for if i was in the store. and the cherry on top is that it's all cute girls working the service and they load everything into my trunk when i get there.
