>What is Litecoin?
https://litecoin.org/

Litecoin (LTC) is an open source peer-to-peer Internet currency that enables instant, near-zero cost payments to anyone in the world. With substantial industry support, trade volume and liquidity, Litecoin is a proven medium of commerce complementary to Bitcoin (BTC)

>How is Litecoin different to Bitcoin?
https://litecoin.info/index.php/Comparison_between_Litecoin_and_Bitcoin

One way to view Litecoin is as silver to Bitcoin's gold, in that it is a relatively less valuable cryptocurrency that is easier to obtain and transact with

Litecoin uses scrypt instead of SHA256 for proof of work
Total amount of LTC is 4 times the total amount of BTC
Transactions are 4 times faster than with Bitcoin

>Why invest in Litecoin?
https://litecoin-foundation.org/the-case-for-litecoin/

Litecoin, one of the oldest cryptocurrencies, has proven itself a reliable and secure money with the advantages of name-recognition and high liquidity (available on almost all exchanges), consistently ranking in the top 4 in trading volume. It’s also the second most available coin in cryptocurrency ATM’s. Bitcoin continues to be the ‘gold standard’, but Litecoin has proven itself the silver to Bitcoin’s gold. According to Coinbase’s metrics, Litecoin’s price is 98% correlated to Bitcoin’s

>Upcoming Litecoin developments

Mimblewimble Extension Blocks (MWEB)
https://litecoin-foundation.org/the-battle-for-sound-money/

MW is a combination of technologies including “Confidential Transactions” (hides transaction amounts) and “CoinJoin” (a “coin mixer”)

Flare Networks Litecoin Integration (FLTC)
https://blog.flare.xyz/integrating-litecoin-flare-recap/

Litecoin will be integrated as an F-Asset with full Ethereum style smart contracts on the Flare Network

right on, this needs to happen intermittently during parabolic bull phase. we must go vertical AND sideways, can't go vertical only

i've nothing to fundamentally back this feeling, but it's my perception that litecoin is even safer than bitcoin, merely down to the amount of attention, good or bad, bitcoin receives. sometimes second place is optimal

Idk about months dude. This doesn’t feel like 2017 but you really need to think of the long term game more than anything. If you sell at 170 or 100 you might regret it when it goes to 500 or even 1000.

>>29482172
I’ve only got my experience as evidence. It seems less volatile than a lot of other coins and people just tend to forget about it until it moons. Whenever no one is talking about LTC is the best time to buy.

>>
>>29484411
I’ve always invested money I could lose, so waiting isn’t a big deal for me. If you can buy more and you believe in the project (I do personally believe it’s going to go to 500 eventually) then invest according to what you can afford to lose thinking also the gains it’s going to give you. There isn’t a get rich quick method here IMO, if you’re really impatient try your luck with any of those PnD shitcoins that are shilled here, you might catch a 5x or you might lose it all.

Litecoin benefits when Bitcoin has completely overheated, the fees get retarded and people start selling into other alts. Why Litecoin? It's sufficiently liquid, only reason why.

If BTC can't stay above the 20-day moving average which is currently $47.7k it'll dip lower. If BTC stays above that and stabilizes then it's the new local bottom, seems like it's pushing downward right now so you could wait for a better entry

certainly could break lower, though support at prices lower than here was tremendous. double bottom could readily become a triple bottom should we break lower out of the wedge

the shape at this bottom is really encouragin, three quick deep stoccato-like tests of the low, each of them repelled. the shape on monday's dip was round, lethargic, lazy, couldn't tolerate a serious retest of its lows. good signs here, i'm convinced a test of $167 would hold

i think this cycle there's a possibility a lot of anons, even here, seem to discount, that litecoin dramatically outperforms bitcoin to unprecedented degree deeper into this cycle. the energy and tension attached to BTC's huge price tag has in recent weeks inspired some giant candles, in terms of true range, on the BTC/LTC chart (second week of Feb, 70!!!! Litecoin range on that candle) which might not be so readily apparent on the LTC/BTC. Litecoin that week up over 40% against the dollar, comparable to Bitcoin's 25%. another couple weeks like that and we're much of the way back to previous LTC/BTC highs ... and all this before the crazy money appears and pushes things to extremes, or beyond

Nigger Stellar's only problem is brand recognition. Unlike most other coins it's already doing what it set out to do rather than operating on a promise and it's backed by several major banks. On practicality alone Stellar should be at the top of the chart and the more we move into an age of integrating real world crypto use the higher up the chart it will move. If you aren't holding you're straight up retarded.

Square just bought another 3500 BTC for 170 million. This is just backwardation, it wont be over for another 10 months at least. This is the run up phase, like 2016/early 2017. You really think alts like DASH and LTC that had ~2k and ~450 ATH's last time are going to cap out at a fraction of that this time?

Oh wow, niggers and banks, I love those so much. Nobody wants your shitcoin and thats why youre shilling it in a litecoin thread. LTC has a massive first to market advantage and is in every ATM beside Bitcoin. Its at record lows compared to Bitcoin and always spikes back up. Now is the absolute best time to buy it, and then long it too against BTC. Stellar on the other hand, throw it in the garbage. If you gave me stellar for free Id sell it and buy shitcoins.

here's a fun one: prior litecoin cycle performance extrapolated to this cycle. big run from $1 to major consolidation around $50 (in fact a peak in the 90's and crash to low 30's)

>>29518660
>last time it ran up to 50$ slowly and then rocketed up.

in the hypothetical case we repeat the previous cycle, what then would be our $50 this time around? approx $1250, ultimately topping around $8k. which if any of who have seen my BTC previous cycle extrapolation applied to LTC, we get an eerily similar figure

based on calculations referened in my earlier posts, we could expect that same 20x topping maths to apply to the bottoms as well

Litecoin previous bottoms were approx $1 then little more than $20

Bitcoin previous bottoms were $150 then little more than $3000

that would estimate approx $400 for litecoin next bottom, in the region of previous ATH
and 500-800 is very much in the same ballpark

litecoin should be about 1/8 of btc ( 1/4 of supply, plus bitcoin has first mover advantage)

if you think btc is fairly priced, litecoin should be around 7-8k at least.
>>
>>29525644
It's not as simple as that, that would only be true if litecoin had the same marketcap and was worth equally as much as a whole.

Regardless of what everyone says about the company, I buy and sell crypto on paypal. Anything gained or sold is moved to my debit card for a very small percentage. I track it on the app itself, blockfolio, and various trade sites.

But keep in mind, I also got in on btc, eth, bch, and ltc when paypal was doing fee free before the new year. I got the stimulus on January 1st. I dumped it all into those coins.
