I used to think I didn't like them because of the way the nose and mouth holes were handled, but I looked at some other masks that do the same thing and I like them more like Dr. Wagner Jr. and La Parka. Maybe the root of my dislike comes from the mouth and nose holes, and when a mask is as simple as El Santo's it's easier to focus on that. I never thought about it much before this.
