Those animal planet programs were so bizzare
You mean based?I remember the most extreme being the only thing worth watching since 90% of their other programming was the stupid watered down cops but with animals
>>4667488Well... you got a point there. I liked dinosaur one too
Nice butt. I can see why one would consider ascending into an insemination appendix right next to that butt.

Animal Planet was always garbage. Discovery Channel's Wild Discovery (1995-2001) was better than anything AP has ever broadcasted except Steve Irwin and AP never recovered after he died.
this show is a treasure trove of lulz
>>4678523did he died

>>4678847>>4679255Sea squirts? It absorbs its nervous system to become a stomach stuck to a rock. It's an amazing life cycle, but horrifying to imagine.
>>4681355sounds fantasticimagine, actually having no thoughts head empty
>>4681355>these things are in the same phylum as us
>>4681423Not too hard to imagine if you look at the larval form (B in pic related) as resembling a simplified fish, or a more primitive ancestor (C). There are even free-living sea squirts which retain their larval form and exist similarly to fish, these probably represent a similar lineage to our ancient common ancestor.

>>4682031Incredible, this is a prime specimen of an uncurious individual that readily repeats talking points they hear from others, without taking any steps to verify their veracity first.>https://www.newscientist.com/article/2250429-deep-sea-anglerfish-fuse-bodies-to-mate-thanks-to-an-odd-immune-system/>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhsyZnVx2rQ>https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglerfish#ReproductionSimply searching "male anglerfish" would have led to them finding a multitude of resources to learn more about the behavior of these animals, such as articles, photos, videos, and pages that link to studies on the topic. All of these sources would have corroborated the popular idea of anglerfish reproduction, so, the fact that this individual still opted to spread a false one speaks to a preference towards unquestionably listening to "in-group" sources of information that appeal to the individual's values, which hinders their ability to engage with factual reality. We should all learn from this poster's example, and be careful about trusting information from people who agree with us, and take steps to learn about topics from multiple sources before engaging in discussions about them.
