Why do people hate roaches so much the ones i’ve seen seemed friendly
>>
Friendly until they crawl into your ass and ears
>>
There's another type of roaches in central Europe, they live from dead plant matter and die in a couple of days if they're accidentally in someone's house.
>>
>>4617958
We have those in NYC. They are huge and crawl in and kinda get slow and weak then die.
>>
>>4617968
They can fly too if they're the same.
But yeah, they're perfectly harmless and don't infest homes.
>>
>disgusting
>infest houses
>disease ridden
>hide inside crevices and holes you didn't even know existed
>enter through any space, big or small
>you can't open your windows to let air flow inside your house at night because the fuckers will take the chance and go right inside
>reproduce fast
>eat your food
>eat your napkins
>huge so if you stomp them you get your soles and floor dirty with thick slimy wet dead cockroach innards and shells
TOTAL COCKROACH DEATH
GENOCIDE COCKROACHES
>>
>>4617958
Thats probably the ones i’ve seen. Big friendly fellas and not very fast
>>
>>4617936

>>
>>4618071
This one:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ectobius_vittiventris
So, probably not that one.
>>
damn Americans really have some pests don't they. Racoons and cocks
>>
>>4617985
Flies are unclean but they never get the same reaction because roaches are fast and large
>>
>>4618255
Flies are pretty self contained too, yeah they can infest shit but it takes a while for it to spawn new flies and you can throw it out in the meantime. Meanwhile, roaches can create more of themselves off crumbs and scraps without you noticing and can go weeks without food.
>>
>>4617936
They’ll fly up in your face when startled and stab you with their spiky legs. They’ll also nibble on your toes or anything else not covered by your blanket as you sleep. The bites don’t hurt, but it’s a fairly sharp pinch.
>>
>>4617936
>Doesn't know what personal space is, pounces on your face and feet whenever it get a chance, also very fast.
I wouldn't have a problem with them if they behave like normal insects. fuck them.

I don't usually post here and I don't want to kill a thread for this.
Is this a roach? I've never seen them before and this thing came in through my window today, I think. I've been in a new apartment for just over a month and it freaked me out since I really don't want to find out I moved in somewhere that has fucking roaches.
Picture is pretty shit because my phone doesn't want to focus on this thing.
>>
>>4618418
yes and its a tiny one which means there's a breeding population
you're fucked

Wood roaches! They're what link Termites to roaches.

All roaches fly amigo
>>4618071

>>4618418
easy id on roaches are long antennae, spiky legs, and their forewings are leathery. That is 100% a roach. If you rent, immediately inform your landlord

Why do the roaches in my house only come out at night and when the temperature is a summer heatwave?
>>
>>4618418
That looks like something in Ectobiidae family, wood cockroaches.
>>4618439
It's likely an adult, just from a small species. Nymphs look different and don't have fully developed wings.
>>
I have bug nets everywhere and I swear I see the same faggot roach try to get in every goddamn night, like just give up ready
>>
anyone has that full jap video of torture devices made specifially for roaches?

I have a potted plant on my balcony that happens to have a small symbiotic ant colony living among its roots. When I find and kill a cockroach I always make a point of putting the corps next to the pot so the ants can have a nice protein treat. The ants are really well behaved by the way. I've never caught even one inside my house and that plant they're in symbiosis with is the healthiest I got.

>>
>>4617936
They're not a problem until there's an infestation. If I see one outside I'll leave it alone like I do with all bugs but when they're inside there's rarely just one that accidentally got in. They become very bothersome once you find a few in your bed.
>>
I want to fucking burn down my house, these fuckers have ruined my life.
I hate every bite of food that I take, I want to puke every day, rage fills the inside of my body, paranoia takes a hold of my mind.
I really, really wish I could just fucking wage total war against german roaches, but alas, I can only find temporary solace in their mangled corpses and slow deaths at the hands of alcohol and a match.
Somebody wake me from this nightmare, I fear I don't have much time left.
>>
>>4623228
have you considered not living in filth?
>>
>>4623294
I clean, I kill, I call for help.
Nothing has had an effect. They're in the walls, the outlets, everywhere I can't reach and they know it.
They taunt me.
Kill a thousand, two thousand take their place.
I have no escape, but I am not willing to die until they've died first.
>>
>>4617936

Why do you think they're called COCK-roaches?
Have fun sleeping tonight
>>
>>4623228
I used to have them. Get this stuff put it everywhere, cabinets, corners, etc
Then bomb your house. Trust me it works.

With German cockroaches you need the gel because they'll bring it back to their nest.

I've started putting up roach traps in my office, but I might have to switch to gel because there's just too many of them
>>
>>4623546
all that off the shelf stuff is dog shit. this is roach Armageddon. The real key though is cleaning up, calling up hiding areas, and starving them of anything beyond the bait. this not only kills the bug, but because they're also cannibalistic sons of bitches, when they die in the nest, others eat their poisoned bodies and continue spreading the poison.
>>
>>4618071
Why don't you just spray them with slow-acting pesticide?
When they go back to the nest the pesticide will spread to all the others and the fuckers die
If not just gas the house
>>
>>4623604
You can't just gas the house with German cockroaches. You need the gel.

That brand is good but you posted the one for ants. Put in on little post it notes and then redo it with fresh gel every 3 days because they like it fresh. It will kill every roach in about a month.

>FUCK mother fuckers who bring the German ones with them to others buildings
When I was younger my parents and I had to move into an apartment building, one of the not so nice ones and my neighbors would always be moving in and out. One day someone brought German cockroaches with me.
Never again. I cannot begin to express the disdain and contempt I'd feel if I had to use the bathroom or get something to drink and know I'd have to deal with these motherfuckers all over the place. We were never dirty people either, the roaches practically never had any real food to feed on but they are that persistent. FUCK German cockroaches. I had some bigger ones before where I'd see maybe 1 a month as a kid, but the German ones are reprehensible. Fucking hate them
>>
>>4617936
because i'm a lazy shit, roaches remind me when i REALLY need to mow my grass because when my grass grows tall, they start fucking like bunnies and make their way indoors
>>
>>4617936
They gather around trash and excrement, most are very neurotic and spazz out if you touch or try to handle them, and also have spiky legs. It's one of the only creatures that still gets a visceral disgust reaction out of me, besides most flies and tapirs
>>
>>4618418
It's 100% a german cockroach. Look it up.
They colonize homes unlike the american roaches in OP pic who are sewer's creatures and sometimes end up in homes through pipes but don't survive.
>>
>>4617936
One cockroach is friendly. Three weeks later your grain sacks are full of holes and your cabinets smell like piss.
