I will book an appointment to vaccinate it asap, then I'll take it to the rabbit lady.
We can call it a day. And hopefully no more bunnies escape from that fucking horror house.

When they're angry their ears go back like a cat's. An attacking bunny claws or bites and bites again. They're playing. Cf the gif where a mother rabbit protects her nest from a snake and chases it straight up a tree. Zigzag evade, straight attack.

Thanks to you guys for replying and giving me advices, some stuff I've learned came from here.

Here's the pic of the place where she (yes, third bunny is a female) and her two siblings are living now. I forgot to take a pic where all three of them are together, lol. But you can see the other two inside the cage. Actually the smaller cage inside the rabbit hutch is a temporary accommodation until they finish building the second hutch because there are now too many bunnies that can't live all together. They let me inside and I could touch all those big soft bunsbuns.
The girl told me they become absolutely brutal when they reach the sexual maturity, and start attacking one another in the eyes... that's why fixing them is important.

Basically three bunnies appeared near my house, in the city (two of them in my building's private garden, the third in the building's small green area adjacent to mine). This happened two/three days after I spotted a dead bunny close to where I found the other two.
Me and two friends joined forces and decided to try to catch the first two at least. We managed to catch them surprisingly in a matter of 5 days, but with great difficulty. When I visited the vet to vaccinate the first, the vet suggested me of a farm holiday where a girl and her boyfriend own many rabbits and other animals. This girl agreed we could take them to her, as long as we would pay only the male's future neutering.
Days later, we decided that the third couldn't be left there all alone so we caught her too with the help of a guy living in the other building, and the rabbit girl accepted to take care of the third too. So now the siblings are in a safe and appropriate environment. Two females, one male!
These bunnies come from a well-known house with people who poorly take care of their animals, these bunnies escaped and reproduced. I don't know what to do since the local organizations don't seem to care.
The full journey was documented in the previous thread.

Do bunnies instinctively know what plants are toxic to them, and won't eat them?
I was thinking about it when I had to pick wild grass, leaves and flowers every day for the bunnies I was fostering (I also provided hay and fresh salad).

that's interesting! i always assumed putting them on their back for medical and hygiene reasons for a few minutes at most was fine. i often see vets and people that have owned rabbits for years do it, especially for nail clipping. this is not my rabbit, i am only a fan of him but thank you for informing me

A healthy bunny does not need its butt cleaned. Could be a symptom of a serious issue.

i follow a ton of rabbits on twitter (most of them in japan) and i see it done from what i know now is the incorrect way very often. i always assumed it was fine because a lot of medical office/vet and grooming type of places were all doing it. i wonder why the medical training seems to be different there.. and i'm guessing the owners follow suit because almost all of them seem to do it that same way at home. i wish this sort of stuff was better taught, i'm sad now thinking they were all scared

i love looking at this thread and i love bunnies.
i'm unable to have them in my current situation but i'd like to ask the bunny-keepers in this thread, just out of curiosity: how is daily life with bunnies? what kind of stuff do they need, every day? how much time do you find yourself spending with your bunnies each day?
also plz give kisses to your bunnies
>>
>>4462458
Bunnies need all the attention you can give them. They get lonely very quickly.
As far as things, they like a few toys but they can be made cheaply like toilet paper tubes or simple sheets of paper. It depends on what your bunny likes. My first liked boxes, but my current likes uncreased printer paper.
Vet bills are the expensive part. They also must be watched because they will hide illness like their life depends on it. Sometimes by the time you know something is wrong it may be too late.
>>
>>4462328
She looks mischievous. I wish i were able to help. I'll be praying for little bun to find a good home.
>>
>>4462458
Like the other anon said.

My bun likes to groom my hands and arms and will do so for at least 30 minutes before changing moods and requesting pets. After that, she might get scampery or relaxed. She's not a fan of being held, but will hop around me while I sit, and sometimes hop into my lap. I keep her in a bunny room/pen which is about 8' x 10'.

Two bonded buns will keep each other company. They'll be happier together, but will ultimately like you less since they have each other.
Bare minimum requisite interaction is morning pellet, evening pellet, salad, water, and hay.
Every couple of days their litter needs changing. Every month I do a cleaning of most of their enclosure.

I tend to spend at least 30 mins actively with them each day, usually longer like well over an hour in the bun room with them giving them pats or letting the explore. If I had a single bun I am sure I'd need more time or they'd be sad. They are most active at dusk and dawn which is good for normal work schedules.
Bun breed and individual personality does impact activity and neediness. One of mine is a bit more wild and rough, while the other is docile and introspective.

I already chastise my buns for not working hard enough and being lazy layabouts. To see a bun actualizing himself and realizing his full potential sure is something and I'm frankly jealous. Even if it is "just" a managerial office position it is better than any rabbit I know.

we usually have at least one brood of cottontails that nest under our deck/near our house in the spring. haven't seen many yet but it's still early and cold, and the hawks are out in force lately so it's probably for the best.

When you finally find yourself alone at night in the bitter, freezing cold with distant street lamps providing you with barely any visibility, you will see me crawling towards you at an inhuman, breakneck speed. You will not even have a reflexive moment to regret your malice in this thread, but you will instinctively know it was the poor decision to share this myopic and baseless opinion which sealed your fate. Once your soul flies out of the husk that you call your mortal flesh, the outer beyond will not have mercy on you. Eternity and immortality are forever outside of your reach, and you will infinitely be bound to the physical nothingness of the phenomena. Meanwhile the bunnies you curse will hop on the moon forever, guided by God's grace and pure love. fuck you faggot

that's right! the majority of them would prefer a partner, but it's important to make sure they have compatible personalities and get along well first. there's a small amount of bunnies that don't get along with any buns, i would say those require more human attention to avoid loneliness

When will someone engineer a bunny breed that doesn't eat poop, doesn't shed a billion tons of fur each spring, and knows better than to eat rubber and plastics that will clog its digestive tract and require an expensive trip to the vet?

>doesn't eat poop
cecotropes are a lot different than poop
>shed a billion tons of fur each spring
nearly all pets shed, groom them more often and it's less of a problem in my experience
>eat rubber and plastics that will clog its digestive tract
dogs, cats, and a lot of other pets will do this too. it's entirely your responsibility to give them a clean area free of anything that can harm them and to monitor them
bunny already perfect!

Wild bunnies are so aesthetic. They have just the right length of face, not too flat or too long, and are somehow cuter than most pet rabbits to me. Maybe I'm just used to them as the 'default' bunny.
