Has anyone here made a closed terrarium? I want to make one
>>4307646I did and had spiders in there but it got moldy after approx. 2 month and I had to release the bugs before the mold grew to much.
>>4307646Your hubris is showing. If you try to play god you will fail. Even the Earth is not a closed system.
>>4307646I did and it held out well for many months. I got decided to make it more fun though and put a corner of as saltine cracker just to increase the available energy in this system and the whole crashed after 1 week. It's fine though, I now have a 20 gallon long and grow light for a new ecosystem but its not sealed.
>>4308327Don't some bugs feed on mold?>>4308662That's cool anon!
>>4308801YEH THANKS BOB I MEAN JUST CHUCK A BIG FUCKIN SPRINGTAIL IN THERE, THATS WHAT WE USED TO DO BACK IN THE DAYSGOD BLESS
>>4308621Is the universe?
>>4308908Honestly probably not, I bet octopuses are extra dimensional
you mean this?
>>4307646I made something similar but with water plants and pond water. It was interesting how at first larger inverts like insect larvae and worms predominated and after a few weeks they died back and were replaced by an explosion of seed shrimp and copepods. Had to move suddenly for work though so I chucked the whole thing back in the pond after like 2 months.
