Today, met a pit or pit mix for the first time up close. Wow they're big. Head was same size as mine. This was a stray, sort of. Looked pretty neglected, looked scary to be honest. Co-worker rescued it and brought it to work, as it was kind of an emergency. This thing was strong enough to deglove me from the waist up if it wanted to, but it was one of the nicest, most gentle dogs I ever met. Loved skritches around the ears and face, almost fell asleep. I'm not even a dog person, but I could tell this guy was 100% harmless to me.Animals are no different from people. You can't generalize.A few are whacked-out and violent, but most are civilized, and a lot of those are friend material.
