They can hunt their own food, but will also turn down kibble until they're almost starving before accepting it. Retards can't even begin to train them without resorting to abuse. This leads to rural agricultural folks and the average dog fan to consider them useless, stupid, lesser, not dogs, barely any good for pulling sleds etc. So what he did is he always fed that dog last and treated it poorly while treating the other dogs very well.

>>4170906That's horseshit. My landlord had three huskies and a golden lab locked up in a kennel in the junkyard behind the apartments. I contacted them and complained because I could hear them crying back there, they were chained near broken glass. They live in another town, so they asked if I'd like to walk the dogs for them, I said sure. Made a project of it. Apparently, the male husky had killed a neighbor's dog so they either had to move him to another town or put him down, and once they moved them here they just stopped taking care of them. The workers were for some reason terrified of him, everytime he got loose the neighbors would start screaming.Anyway, those dogs were never anything but perfect with me. I guess probably because I was the only one paying attention to them. I'd walk them all for a couple hours every day, and I started buying them treats and dog food. I did witness them catch rabbits and eat them while I walked them, but they were always gentle, loving and even protective of me. One of my fondest memories is walking the pack through this grass field as the sun was setting and collectively they all wanted to just roll around and relax in the grass so I took them off the leashes. By that point, I didn't need them anymore, they just followed wherever I went. They all cuddled up next to me and I don't know, it felt very zen. As this big, all white husky wiggled on his back over the grass to la at my side and I rubbed his belly, I couldn't comprehend how anyone could be afraid of him.
