1 cat year = 9 human years but 1 dog year = 7???
This makes no sense at all?
That means my cat who died at age 23 was 207 in human years but my dog who is on his last legs at age 12 is only 84?
Shouldn't it be the other way around?
My 12 year old Dalmatian being 108 and my 23 year old cat who died of natural causes being 161 makes more sense does it not?

Cats live longer than dogs do.
>>
My 23 year old case wasn't exactly a rare exception either, my Tuxedo cat also lived until he was 22, that would be 198 if we assume 1 human year = 9 cat years.
Who even came up with this crap?
>>
My Rough Collie also only lived until he was 13, he had such bad arthritis that the only kind thing was to put him to sleep or make him suffer in pain as his liver could not handle pain killers.
That means he was only 91 in dog years?
When 13 is a long life for that breed of dog lol?
>>
If anything, 7 for dog years makes sense, 5 for cat years makes sense.
If 1 cat year = 5 human years my 23 year old cat was 115.

wow this board is slow.
That is 45 minutes?
Okay, whatever, looks like this thread will be up for a week, i already lost interest though.

Nothing linear makes sense. 1 year dogs are already fertile.

wow it turns out different animals develop differently from each others, who would have guessed? maybe we should stop trying to fit everything in a human-shaped box.
The 1 year=7 dog's years thing it's indicative for little kids and retarded dog mommies who want to figure out how old their "baby" is. It's really not that serious

No joke we had a cat that lived to be 35. Fucking big bastard too. Was a mix between some foreign breed and a feral. Im sure it had some big cat blood in it.

I don't understand how them developing at the equivalent of 7 is any different than humans
