line of action is mostly helpful for (as the name suggests) showing a singular action because it forces the entire gesture of a subject to compliment a singular movement. I don't really see why it would be useful for creature design specifically

nah i probably should have been more specific! here, it's a fantastic study tool if you ever want to just do some practice without spending hours finding reference pics. they just updated their human section with a bunch of new models too, the human photos are always super high quality and good poses. https://line-of-action.com/practice-tools/animal-drawing

The creature creation parts are pretty fun (especially if you try to be immersive and pick traits that make sense evolutionarily), but when you actually play the rest of the game outside of that, it's so obvious how much potential was wasted in it that it becomes kind of sad and very disappointing. Should've been one of the best games of the decade, but in the end it's just alright really.

Pignosed turtle. These guys are one of the oldest living/most primitive turtles still alive and are a sui generis of sorts. They're unfortunately highly endangered though because of the exotic pet trade. China and America are going to drive it to extinction just because they want special pets. Super fucking sad. Enjoy them while they last

That's incredibly sad. No way to breed in captivity to increase their numbers?
I have a small farm on a river in Texas. There is a particular gar which has been severely decimated because people are stupid and afraid of them. They are 3-5 feet long, they are curious if you stay still. Then they'll just go about scavenging. I try to educate people but there is an irrational fear.
