No matter how realistic/unrealistic/sensationalized this turns out to be, I love this stuff and playing with the idea of "real" aliens is so nostalgic for me, so I'm pumped. I watched Alien Planet, Future is Wild, etc countless times as a kid and always wanted more
>>
>alien
>it's just a lemur with goat eyes
Boring
>>
>>3575211
Cool beans, this might be the first thing I watch from Netflix since Stranger Things s1.
>>
>>3575211
Looks alright, hopefully this is a trend in the vein of early 2000's discovery channel
>>
>>3575211
Spec evo show?
>>
>>3575225
Yeah that's what I'm hoping. Obviously those specials have flaws, but desu even those are nostalgic ha
>>
>>3575211
Reminds me of that hypothetical doc if we got to Darwin IV that used a guy’s book illustrations for the creatures
>>
that's just a koala. even hollywood aliens can usually do better than barely reskinned earth animals now.
>>
>>3575262
Prove to me that all life doesn't eventually converge on the Koala form. That's right, you can't.
>>
>>3575211
Why is there random footage of black people? What is the implication here?
>>
>>3575302
Isn't there some new rule where 40% of the people have to be black or something?
>>
>>3575211
lil monkey fella
>>
>>3575277
Crab actually.
>>
>>3575211
This is just Star Wars. Which is cool but not realy so alien or anything.

>>
>>3575476
is this a good movie? is it exciting or a boring talker?
>>
>>3575480
Depends on your own tastes. It's a sci fi thriller and a bit of a talker. I liked it.
>>
This is the perfect time filter mush for the mindless stoner type. So yeah pretty much Netflix's audience, including (you).
>>
>>3575481
but is it like signs where basically nothing happens the entire movie?
>>
>>3575307

Yeah pretty much. Though I liked Signs.
>>
>>3575485
Unironically exactly what I need right now
>>
>>3575491
There are more Africans than there are North Americans and Europeans combined.
>>
>>3575538
Stop anon, you're gonna give the Nazi a heart attack
>>
>>3575654
>nazi
Back to leftypol, this is /an/. Nazis know damn well we're a global minority, it's an argument against "muh oppressive huwites suppress minorities" that they make.
>>
Eh I like the free version better.

>>
>>3575531

>>
>>3576767
Dude, that's not niche. They produced it for the masses. I don't need to explain it to you.
>>
>>3576604

>>
>>3580499
Hits a little too close to home?
>>
>>3575491
Wait, the whole planet or just America? Because it it’s the latter, there should be way less black people, like 1 in 10
>>
>>3575485
We’re quarantined again, retard.
>>
>>3575259
The book is Expedition by Wayne Barlowe. Find a pdf of it and take a gander, amazing art. Really nice reissue just happened, too.
>>
>>3575302
it's a film about lower animals evolving into higher forms of life.

white people can't even be inclusive right.
>>
>>3575211
Looks interesting, might check it out when it comes out, I hope it's good.
>>
>>3575211
looks good except for the parts with the monke and the niggers

I'm so glad I got it since my old copy is really showing its age. Full-circle moment with my childhood self who read it over and over again on long car rides haha
>>
>>3575220
>>3575262
seriously, why do they do this? are they trying to create like a cute mascot for the show or something? it looks out of place in that alien environment
>>
Seems pretty cool, but how does a black man get with a white woman in this show?
>>
>>3575220
>NOOOOO YOU CAN'T HAVE ALIENS WITH TETRAPOD-LIKE MORPHOLOGY THEY ALL HAVE TO LOOK LIKE BUUUGS

There's next to 700 quintillion planets in the known universe. Do the math.

Is this in any way related to NatGeo's Extraterrestrial documentary or are they straight up ripping it off?
>>
>>3583222
It's kinda weird that it looks so much like a tree-dwelling mammal, they should have gotten more creative for the design of the icon of the series
>>
>>3583231
Meant for >>3583213
>>
>>3583222
>>3583231
I agree, it looks generic and lazy. But there seems to be a stupid trend in spec-evo that favours making alien beings as bizarre as possible and disdains any design that resembles tetrapods in any way. There's room for both.
>>
>>3582867
probably, but if so they even fucked that up, it's a koala but uglier
>>
bump
>>
>>3583224
Isn't Extraterrestrial on Netflix?
>>
>>3583253
True, that thing is hideous.
