How the fuck do you people not want to kill yourselves? I have to spend half my life doing this shit?
>>
>>29785393
Post wojacks every day and refer to it as "wage slaving" and complain a lot.
>>
>>29785393
>I have to spend half my life doing this shit?
No. Most people hang out of their friends after work and most people do not work for that long, or even work everyday. I suggest you hang out with your friends after work, and if you can't make friends, make a tulpa.
>>
>>29785407
I though getting a job would help me find friends. But most of the people are way older than me, including the chicks. Plus I work afternoon to nights, with some days being 10 hours

I would love to do data entry
>>
>>29785393
Depends on what you're doing, I guess, I'd never want to be a store clerk
>>
>>29785471
I'd love to be a store clerk
>>
I could never let them convince me to do anything without God saying it. That could never be me but it could be you. Will it ever not be a product of endless hilarity? No.
>>
>>29785393
i got rich and now i just buy shit and travel. it fills the void
>>
>>29785393
By spending the time that I'm not at work being able to afford to do shit I want. It's kind of the point.
>>
>>29785393
Get a job where you literally don’t have to do anything. There are month long spans where I don’t have to do anything other than exist.
>>
>>29785422
Yeah this my problem too

Everybody I work with is fucking old
>>
>>29785393
I remember feeling like that after my first workday too lol
It'll get better, you'll get used to it, as long as your job isn't trash lol
>>
>>29785393
the 1st day is always the worst
you will get used to it
>>
>>29785393
Most jobs that aren’t wage slaving customer service retail warehouse worker Amazon delivery driver drudgery are fulfilling or even enjoyable. Develop some kind of valuable skill that you are proud of makes money and helps you build a career, or enjoy suffering doing jobs teenagers and brown people ought be doing. If you’re going to spend the next four years of your life doing nothing but shitting up this board and complaining about how hard you have it working wage shut the fuck up and get back to bagging my groceries. Those are your two options. Hope this helps.
>>
>>29785393
>8 hour work day
>how the fuck do you people not want to kill yourself

don’t get me wrong, I want to kill myself just as much as you do but drugs(obviously i would never do drugs because thats illegal lol) make life slightly less miserable. if there is a god, he will have to BEG for my forgiveness
>>
>>29786186
And before you ask I sometimes work upwards of 60 hours in a week. And I still have plenty of time for my friends and hobbies.
>>
>>29786186
Wageslave jobs aren't teenager jobs. FDR created minimum wage as a living wage, enough to afford a decent living.
>>
>>29786216
It has been scientifically proven that people can't work more than 40 hours a week because doing so is bad for our health and causes stress and burnout. Even 40 hours is more than what's ideal.
>>
>>29785393
Alcohol, masturbation, hobbies. Ezpz
>>
>>29786329
And yet you still seem to have a problem
>>
>>29786341
I feel fine and I’m willing to bet me and my career are probably outliers but still I am not the one who hates my job and wants to kill myself
>>
>>29785393
You learn to deal with the exhaustion.
You'll still want to get out but your body will adapt.
>>
>>29785875
It never got better for me, what helped me was getting work that I like
>>
I've skated by and somehow own a house now, idk what the fuck happened but there are ways. I also plan to game disability. You've got this, champ.
>>
How to find good jobs?
>>
>>29785393
What job is it?
>>
>>29790214
Money handling. I take money, put it into a machine and count it
>>
>>29785393
I smoke weed about it
>>
>>29790272
So you cope?
>>
>>29785393
Money, God doesn't want me to die, yet. I'm not fully religious, I do believe God does look out for you.
>>
>>29785393
quit wageslaving immediately that's what i did
i said fuck it. i'd rather just gamble and see what happens if i don't work. everyone tries to scare you saying you'll die if you don't work but i don't believe it
america was built off of unemployed people who just said fuck it and started growing weed and cotton and bullshit. or the natives. they were not employed they just fucked around in moneyless societies i think. and the founders were business owners so they were not employed they were employers. wageslaving is unamerican, cease immediately. no rich person works a job. rich people own houses and make youtube videos or sell watermelons or something. start selling and buying shit. become a vagabond
>>
>>29785523
It's shit
>>
>>29785855
what do you do?
>>
Lower your tone when you talk to me if you work less than 100 hrs a week.
>>
>>29791379
Lmao
>>
>>29791315
How do I do that
>>
I hate manual labour so much
Please someone give me a desk job
>>
Just did 10 hours today
Fuck
>>
>>29792041
>have manual job
>crave a comfy desk job
>get a desk job
>instantly depressed and want my manual job back
Dont do it
>>
Thank god the company I am employed at believes costumer satisfaction is important
I work retail, and I can actually make sure costumers dont get assmad at me
Gotta say, it feels good
>>
>>29785393
It depends on the job. I remember a 3-4hr shift at wage slave retail felt like weeks. My WFH job now I close my eyes and 3 hrs goes by.
>>
>>29790413
No, I dope
>>
>>29785393
That's an open secret: everyone gates their jobs, and that's one of the reasons.
Get a job you like and time will fly

I hope a job that will pay me to fap and play video games

my advice to all youth is dont fall for it, don’t buy a car, don’t buy or rent a home unless you absolutely cant live with your parents, don’t fall for credit cards or loans or any of that shit.

it all serves itself, i was happiest when I was broke. once you get a car payment you’re fucking trapped. you work to afford the car so it can take you to work and all the weekend travelling you do isn’t worth it because denied the ability you would find things to do close to home.

it’s all a trap. the rich sell a lifestyle that few can afford in the hopes of keeping you in debt for your entire life, because thats how they own you.
the worst part is, they probably don’t even do it on purpose, they just stacked greed on top of stupidity until we got here
>>
>>29793932
I gotta agree
>>
>>29793605
There are jobs that pay to play videogames, where you have to test said games. Not sure what they are called, but look for game quality assurance (a.k.a., QA) maybe?
>>
>>29794146
>ok now jump into this wall for 6 hours to see if you can reproduce this bug

My legs ache a bit because my current computer chair is failing, but I will buy a new one soon, I put another towel to use as a foot rest, I might just buy a whole lot of towels instead of a computer chair if they are cheaper, in short I think you are just over-acting for dramatic effect.
>>
>>29794164
Well, as I said, most people hate their jobs for actual reasons :^)
>>
The pain is not so much in my legs now , but in my feet and ankles, a new stack of towels is about £30, but a new chair is £60, so I might use 3 towels for my feet in a 2 + 1 configuration, and the 4th towel in the set to cushion the back of my upper legs.

>Be me, 20 year old HS grad working in a warehouse
>want a job where I am not trapped, ask my dad
>Dad coaches me on basic sales for 6 weeks, waking me through phone sales and sales meetings, even has me go to a sales meeting with him
>Get a resume together, put on a blazer, go to a new tech startup I read about, walk in
>Ask to see the sales manager, wait 20 minutes, get taken to her office
>Shake hands, give her my resume, tell her I have been trained in sales and want to sell
>She tells me to read a brochure on the product and get a call script ready in 20 minutes
>She comes back in 7, I am ready
>Make 6 cold-calls, get an appointment, all in 20 minutes
>Hired on the spot
>Came back the next day for my laptop and access codes, turn in direct deposit info, I9 and such
>Work in the office for 3 weeks, then remote except for a monthly meeting
>Number one in sales after 4 month
>Set record for profits first year
>get nice apartment by myself
>Buy new car, 50% down, to build credit
>Start investment fund
>After 2 years get hired away by another firm, 3 times the base salary, unlimited commissions
>be top sales, president's club, diamond circle every year
>Sell my car because the company leases an E-class for me
Work is fine, bro
>>
>>29785393
I used to be a NEET until I realized working isn't nearly as torturous when you actually do shit in your free time other than playing videogames and watching youtube.
Having something to spend the money on makes up for it.
>>
>>29793020

>be me
>have manual job
>crave a comfy desk job
>get a desk job
>instantly happy with a good carrer where i can actually make money

so no, it depends on the person, idiot
>>
>>29785393
you will get used to it.
first day on any job is always the worst, your brain and body is just not adjusted to that so keep tight and you will make it.

If you really fuckin hate that job then leave it ASAP and find something you like doing, thats how you can do it for 40years.
>>
>>29794394
How do I know what I'll like?
>>
>>29795706
You vill work to make someone else rich and you vill be happy
>>
>>29785393
I emotionally numbed myself to the point where I just see it as a part of my life now. My life is largely dictated by and made up of working for shit pay on another man's whims during times he deems necessary as often as he says is necessary just to survive. It is what it is.

it doesn't for me
>>
>>29785393
1. You get used to it.
2. Some jobs are a tonne better than others.
3. Money is good.
4. Your free time is 100 times better having worked. Period.

#2 is important. My first job was in a canning plant when I was 17. Now 35 Ive had a lot of jobs. I lasted 4 months at the canning plant. Id have easily blown my brains out by 21 if I stayed. Ive had a few jobs like that, and a few jobs not so much. But work is work.
Get something that doesn't suck terribly, pays the bills, and use your free time to tbe absolute fullest
>>
you'll get used to it, the days will blend into each other
