How do I meet people IRL? Do I just go into a bar and sit down and wait for someone to talk to me or something? I don't want to use apps because want it to be completely IRL, because going after a certain mood and it's sort of an escape from virtual stuff tooI'm relatively attractive and approachable. But I've been terminally online for past decade, so probably slightly autistic about real life interactions and customs and how exactly these things are supposed to be done
Also, I don't work or study or have any hobbies or friends (new city). Or would have been kinda a non-question.
>>28580854go to the library and place a watermelon on the desk you are sitting on. the odds someone comes to ask are good.
>>28580888I don't doubt that that would work but if it's something that was done in some anime I would rather not.
>>28580854>want it to be completely irl why are you here ?
>>28580897it wasn't done in any anime. pic was unrelated
>>28580899To ask for advice. I've been an imageboard person for a decade, and will continue to be one to the extent that I'm not interacting with people IRL
Back to school/college. It's the best way.

>>28581020nta but I got a job and my co workers just pick on me for being socially awkward. in general, work is the worst place to socialize.
>>28580854I went to a bar yesterday (with some coworkers) and I met a QT there (her boyfriend arrived like 10 mins later). It's a very tourist-friendly place so alot of westerners arrive here and if you look like a surfer, a hobbo or a hippie, you're surely going to meet lots of new people. Hell I'm even thinking of moving there as a local, the amount of smiles and warmness I received from tourists and locals there was amazing.
>>28580854>How do I meet people IRL?Join a club. Try new things. Learn to be a good listener, be humble, be honest, and listen more than you talk. Accept that not everyone you meet is going to become a friend of acquaintance but be good and polite to them anyway.
>>28581066Sounds like a great way to get people to find you dull unnaturally reserved.
>>28580888the watermelown tech
>>28581080Maybe. But for someone who has been terminally online and has atrophied social skills should not be trying to manufacture a new personality and 'impress' anyone. The point is to listen learn and grow, not wow people.
>>28580854> How do I meet people IRL? Do I just go into a bar and sit down and wait for someone to talk to me or somethingYes, but try to go to a divey bar where folks just go to have a drink after work. No trendy places. Sometimes someone will look over and try to talk to you
Disregard most posts here, I went to a club last night and two girls asked for my @Just go out, once and alone isn't going to do it, but going out on a weekly basis is good.
