Have any of you cheated while in college. I have a big test coming up, and since I was in the ICU for two weeks, I was unable to study.
How do you guys manage zoom tests that need you to place both of your hands on the screen while only displaying your torso?

only thing i can use is head and feet.

you dont have any friends?
>>
Unfortunately, I kind of lost it all due to my Neetdom, but I'm working to rebuild.
I was considering purchasing a tablet and typing the response with my hands or head, but that seems fucking dumb. i was thinking maybe eye tracker but also how would i get that.
>>
Been like 10 years since i left college, but no prof wants anyone to fail or do bad for dumb reasons, makes em look like a shitty teacher.
If it were like a decade ago I'd contact the prof and explain your situation. There's no shame in asking for a little consideration all the students who didnt spend time in the icu dont get.
Good luck anon

The only one you'd be cheating is yourself, anon. You deprive yourself of the most valuable thing of all: the opportunity to try, fail, and learn. You also disrespect yourself by neglecting your integrity. If the only reason you would do the right thing is because of the consequences or pressures for not doing so, then you must adjust that mindset, because it doesn't serve you. If you are to grow as a person, you must hold yourself to a principled moral standard, and do your best to not falter from it. Principles that you only stand by when they're convenient are not principles. Doing the right thing when no-one is looking is a sign of maturity and self-respect.

Be honest, with yourself and with your professor. People are usually more understanding than you may believe, and, if you explain the situation to them, they may be able to offer an alternative that will allow you to do this without needing to engage in unethical behavior. Even if they don't, it is better to succeed or fail by your own efforts than devolve to manipulation and cheating. In failure there is opportunity, so it should not be avoided. Do the right thing because it is the right thing, not because of what it may earn you or cost you. It is not always easy to do, and that is why it is valuable.

If that's the case then you have a good justification for asking for some accommodation.
You're kind of a retard tbqhfampai if the first thing that comes to mind in that situation is to try and cheat instead of just asking for help

i would agree if it wasn't for the fact he outright said " miss the test for whatever reason and get a 0". Should have said that to begin with tho. He doesn't give help.

yea. you're right. i just dont wanna waste the 1800 i spent on this one class

There might be video software out there that could "loop" the screen for a few minutes while you google instead. There was this one guy who created a loop that managed to convince his colleagues he was attending team meetings. But yours is a pretty specific use-case, you'll need time to properly setup and test things, time you could also spend studying.

Alternatively, you could look into getting some of those fake halloween arms to put through your sleeves and on the screen? I'm sure there are options out there, but it's still risky.

So open your ask with that:
I've accepted that I'm likely to get a 0 on your whatever exam because I cant miss it, is there any other way I can take it because of whatever icu bullshit?

You gotta ask. Cheating will not help. You are paying to be there, failing is better than cheating.
You're gonna have to study and do the work, but you are for more likely to succeed.
Prof is actually probably a no bullshit person.
You have a no bullshut extraneous circumstance
Until you try and use that to cheat.
Ask the prof.

Ask him anyways.
Even if he's not accommodating, you might be able to get the chance to retake the class later with no GPA penalty for failing the first time by bitching to someone higher up than him.

I've worked in education for 4 years now, and I'm sure you can change the date of the exam for yourself. You have a good excuse. Use it. The camera will detect your eye movement from the screen to the floor anyway and you'll be flagged for cheating.

If you are going to fail all your classes or premed it might be worth it to speak with your administrators and the professor if you can still add/drop/change to audit.

Medschool and prestigious schools Will see all the Ws just ask what is going on lots of times.

Otherwise it might just be worth it to take the gpa hit and end the class with a b instead of an a
The gre or mcat will speak for it
