Most people I've talked to seem to really like Hell's Paradise, but it just seems kinda mid to me. Don't get me wrong, it's entertaining, but it's solidly a 6.5/10 and I feel like I could drop it and forget about it

The island and monster designs are pretty cool. First couple of episodes on the island weren't that great, mostly a lot of sagiri dealing with her emotions and freezing up but she gets her shit together. Cannon fodder everywhere (I mean that in a bad way). Far from great but it's alright.
I like the weird buddhist island, but I don't really care for most of the characters. plus the again quality has just gotten worse and worse. the bath episode was great because it actually expanded on the weirdo islandit's okay, but honestly a bit disappointing. I had much higher hopes for it

The market requires the curve to skew right because people don't watch bad anime and bad anime get published less frequently. This still doesn't mean a 7 is mid though. A 7 amongst good anime is actually more like a 9. A true mid would be 5, meaning it is at the middle of the pack amongst good anime. The 1-10 scale is based on enjoyment relative to other anime on the same scale, so a 5 is still pretty good, and a 1 isn't as bad as a 10 is amazing
