A continuation of the Devilman OVA series from 1987-1990, and a redub of the English version. The OVAs are so good and probably the best animated adaptation of the manga. It really is a shame the series was never finished, the animation, story and characters were so well-done and written. I don't care if they're over 30 years old at this point and I don't care that Crybaby exists. The OVAs deserve better.
>>248126201As good as the OVAs were, it would be a miracle to replicate the quality nowadays. I think Crybaby was a decent adaptation despite its pacing problems. My ideal Devilman anime would be a 24 episodes long following the manga's plot but reducing or modifying the humor like the OVA did but without being too gritty.
>>248126201>A continuation of the Devilman OVA serieswould be seen as derivative of Chainsaw man.Full stop, deal with it.
Actually good thread, potentially. I'd love to see a sequel series of Gundam Wing, after a 20yr time skip, with the same crew responsible for the OST. And possibly more implied yaoi.
A full and faithful adaptation of picrel
>>248126201Robot Girls Z style devilman anime done by studio bind.
It had already been on my mind for a while but Stampede has me really thinking about what a proper Brotherhood style adaptation of Trigun/Trigun Maximum would be like.Shame the new show pretty much put the final nail in that coffin.
>>248126927Oh and an actually good Gash Bell anime.
A proper Chainsaw Man anime, with the same tone as the manga, done by prime Bones. 26-30 episodes, full adaptation of Part 1.
>>248126431Counterpoint, full CG AOL Devilman, but the episodes are 4 minutes long
>>248126431I hate what Crybaby turned Ryou into.
>>248127661Same. Ryo being a big gay used to be a twist. In Crybaby he is just a giant faggot from jump. It isn't my biggest problem with the show (that would be the poor attempts at modernization along with Yuasa clearly not caring about the source material and loading it down with OCs and his brand of humor that never clicked with me) but it is up there.>>248127595
>>248126201I'm torn between either finally having Shin Great Mazinger and a Mazinger Zero adaptation. SRWV and X sort of split the difference which was kind of neat but probably not ideal for a tv series.
>>248127661>no way fag
>>248126201Fully 2D animated adaptation of Ajin, maybe as a series of movies per arcs (not sure what studio could make it work but i'll just go ahead and say either sunrise or WIT), i just wanna see stuff beyond the Forge building arc animated, the manga is so fucking good and it reads like an american action flick, S2 of the anime butchered everyone and everything
Silent Mobius remake that fully adapts the manga and more accurately.
A sympathetic biography series about Hitler.
A battle series about sexy kung fu/karate girls doing martial arts
An animated adaptation of Guyver that gets to more or less where the manga is now.I doubt it'd happen, but I'd love if the dub got David Hayter too.
MD Geist sequel.
>>248134275Good.
