Alright here's my theory, I remember back when I saw Imu and wondered why he had the poster of those particular 4 individuals with him. I finally understand now. The posters were Luffy, Vivi, Shirahoshi and Blackbeard. 4 individuals. The gods of skypiea were the god of Fire, Forest, Rain and Earth. 4 gods.Luffy's connection to the Sun god is to the surprise of no one at this point.Vivi and the central theme of the Arabasta Saga was the struggle for Rain. It was the center of the conflict and what ended it too. I assume Vivi is in some way the Rain God.Shirahoshi's promise with Luffy involved going to the upper world outside the sea and see the Forest. This is the biggest stretch but its also the only connection I could make here.Blackbeard is the odd one, why did Imu also target Blackbeard? Then I remember, he has the Quake fruit now, making him essentially the one weilding the Earth God's powers. Why does Vivi and Shirahoshi not have a devil fruit like Luffy and Blackbeard related to these is beyond me but I guess it never had to do with the DF. Up until now, it is likely that both Shanks and Blackbeard thought that Ace's DF was the Sun God's DF, Shanks went to Whitebeard saying "it is not yet the time for those two to face each other". Blackbeard was very insistent with Ace joining his crew and afterwards getting his hands on the fruit.This might not turn out to be true but I'll leave it as food for thought.
