Thank you for the replies. I don't think it looks too bad or out of place given the right lighting conditions. Though, it does seem quite costly to buy all the assets and proper licensing for use in Unreal.

I think I may end up just hiring an artist for all the character modeling. Daz seems like more trouble than it's worth for real-time rendering.

I feel like you're missing my point, anyway I'm certainly a noob with anything shader related, but my point was that I haven´t seen anyone get Daz characters in unity/unreal to look even remotely close to the results you would get with, for example, CC3, which has a way better integration (with UE particularly).
Closest I've seen was the game "Dark Neighborhood", which was supposedly rendered in UE. But even the dev (whos new game looks miles better) seems to have ditched UE to go Octane, although I haven't seen any confirmation on this.
If you have any good examples of the above or workflow suggestions that don't go like "bruh just retexture the whole model in substance painter" feel free to share them.

There you go. Since there is no 100% noob friendly way to convert a DAZ asset to UE you will not see much of it and the bit you see will properly look kinda bad.

no need for such extreme measures. All the textures you have from DAZ will work 100% fine in UE (a normal map is a fucking normal and so on). But you will need to manually setup the material from scratch inside UE and I know many people really struggle with that.

FBX and clothing I setup that in Maya as part of the skeleton I want to use in UE.
Also there are like a million tutorials out now so its never been easier. Also the "new" UE5 engine is going to have the same pipeline so getting into UE4 now is not a problem (unlike it was with UE2-3 and 3-4).

That looks good, but again to explain my point, I was referring mostly to rendering realistic (or at least good looking) human skin. Every case I've seen of daz characters rendered in UE or Unity (with very few exceptions) looks pretty bad.
I know poor lighting is usually part of the problem but I haven't seen a proper workflow to bring several characters looking good for, let's say, a realtime 3d coomer game (closest thing would be VAM I guess) without having to spend many hours on a per character basis and requiring advanced shader knowledge.

For reference I just threw a Raiya Char in daz, set a lighting preset and hit render to get this.
I've never seen any daz character look this good in UE, yet you can see reallusion's characters looking similar.

as you can see from the two images you have posted: the one from DAZ is miles and miles above in quality while the bottom picture is a very flat.
That being said you cant run quality and the amounts of maps / poly count as a render in DAZ in real time. Problem is that people dont understand that when you go to something like UE you need to use pure smoke and mirrors and brute force just wont do.
Making CGI graphics and game graphics (real time) are two vastly different disciplines (I am aware that they are moving closer and closer the last decade or so but my point still stands).
But yes there is no easy drag and drop solution for getting DAZ content into game engines and just have it run smooth and well while still looking very good. You have to rework your content but that is such a minor thing than starting completely from scratch.

yes, if you want to use dforce to remove it you have to remove the corrective morphs added to the cloth by the auto fit function.
Take your boobs to default genesis at frame 0 and the apply the ones you want at something like frame 60. Then show hidden properties and set the corrective added by auto fit to zero (you will now have serious poke throughs at frame 60 but that does not matter).

Easy way: export base genesis 8 to blender or Zbrush and do some very very basic sculpting then save as obj and import with morph loader pro as a new morph.

Until you know roughly how long to expect your computer to be able to shit out good results, set the max samples and max time to the maximum. Check the render at 5, 10, 15m etc. See how it's going. Try remember how many samples it took.

Needed samples will vary depending on resolution and lighting, low lit scenes will take longer and will be more noisy.

I could properly cut it down to a little over an hour by doing the grass and the trees separately and then combining in post.
I know many people struggle with performance with Iray, daz and render times but I just think people need to learn to do more fake lightning, smoke and mirror stuff and learn about real time video game graphics and the tricks used. It can really really help you speed up renders and still end up with result there are 90-95% as good as pure brute force cgi graphics (in my opinion)

so dazbros, i find the business of cooming using daz renders quite taxing. from setting up the scene and actor, messing around with her shaders to rendering the final result. dont get me wrong i love daz shit. it can produce the finest results for vidya girls with great library of wardrobe. but it is not convenient for me to wait like 6+ hrs so i could just render a basic walking animation with transparent bg of my vidya girl of choice with the camera aimed on her butt only so i can watch those cheecks go by naked in 60 fps. and still renders dont cut it for me.
so, i heard that there've been some fan games out there where you can import your daz models into and move them. im up for that as long as it is not a real time based rendering and more so of a video game engine. so i can grab the model at ease, slap some assets and animations on her and boom.
right now i am rendering a walking cycle of samus and rachel with custom morphs and juicy details naked at 60 fps. so far it is 24 mins in and 5 frames done...

You are probably talking about VAM which uses i think G3 models and morphs. But you can't just make a character in DAZ and put it simply into VAM.

Also DAZ is really bad for animations and yes the rendering with it is also pretty slow. It is fine for stills but if you want to make animations literally every other major 3D programm like Blender, Maya etc. is far better for that.
