So I decided to do something totally different from the 3d I'm used to and started learning MD. I've made a few cloths now and am quite happy with them, but I'm a little stuck for inspiration, so I figure why not get inspiration and maybe help out someone else here.Post some pics of cloths you want making and if it like them I'll make them and share the files afterwards, it's not going to be fast. Takes me about 2-3 days per set. If you want it for a specific avatar i'll need to make another version but shouldn't take me too long.
>>751411Care to share some tips? I struggle so much with MD, some garments never goes exactly where I want it to.
Youtube - "try-on haul" and pick whatever suits you.I personally am in love with these kind of basic casual outfits with flesh-colored coats. Get rid of pretentious pants and put on jeans for even more casual look. God I love women and their clothing. Good luck.
This chinese-esque dress is pretty cute, don't you think?
>>751586While surprisingly difficult to Google try looking for something like "skirt sew template" for specific types. If your making something up like >>751616 you probably want to make a base pattern that fits close to the avatar for all sections and make edits from there.>>751613Thanks for the info, will have a look, I did come across this cute Korean lady the other day: youtube.com/Ztwc85kevUoWill give this look a go.>>751616Thanks for the image, will give this a go too!
>>751411Try making a wonderbra.
>>751613>wallet holster on beltwhy cant women just wear pocket?@?@!!!
MD is not a 3D modelling program, it's a garment conception program. Create clothing like real clothes, and you will get less pushback from the program itself.
>>751411MD is honestly really satisfing to use. I like how there's a billion patterns out there to use as based too.
>>751411Check out Travis davids YT channel and in particular look at his video that is something to do with where he gets inspiration, or what to use as references. I forget the exact title but it was really handy for me. Pinterest, some nip website, some Italian website. Don't try to model like a 3d program. Look up sewing pattern and practise a lot, then when you get the hang of it, you can branch out. You will see you actually have a lot of freedom.
>>751411>those shouldersholy fuck my extremely specific fetish has been triggered. i'm not usually a coomer but holy fuck i am panting. i don't have any requests other than moar w/ visible shoulders and is there somewhere i can follow you
>>751935i didn't forget to take my name off, you did
>>751935Get a grip, anon. No, not that grip. Also, this _might_ be the author: https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/245000
>>751613This was harder then expected, jacket is okay, jumper is fine but the jeans where really difficult to get the seams right. Maps not amazing on this but they give you the idea, not going for nice renders just well made model. let me know if you want the file, and thanks for the image.
>>751935Not the artist brother that's a drawing, I did make that swimsuit in that image though.
>>751977No thanks, happy to help. I plan to learn animatable outfits in the future, so I'll have do a lot of this kind myself anyway.Looks nice.Could've tighten the belt and added some jumper folds on top of it, also the jacket is too smooth for the kind of fabric they're usually made of, but I think you understand that and just wanted to practice a little. And jeans are usually tighter than that. Otherwise great work, good luck further!
>>751978did i just get thot patrolled lmao. i'm a simple man i'm sorry. that is a pretty cute swimsuit anon. i don't have a good 360 .webm but A2's outfit from Nier Automata is pretty top tierpic unrelated but qt
>>751992>>751933Thanks for the links!
>>751411>started learning MD.what is MD?t. low iq 3d artist
>>752022Marvelous designer. It's Marvelous.
>>752024aah yes, i've tried it once or twice. probably going to try it again in my next practice. thanks anon.
>>752005im gonna coooom
>>752185>nothing is showing
>>752185ive always wondered why /3 is a blue board but ic isnt
>>752185>be at work>browsing work safe boards on my two screen setup>open this image up on my second monitor>boss steps up to my desk to ask me a question>mfw sfw
>>752268Because in 3D you can alter and repost others peoples work as your own and make super low effort erotic content using ripped models or daz studio etc. In /ic/ you actually need to make that content all by yourself and few artists are that interested in spending so much effort making erotic content.3D communities since back in the 90's where infested with poser/daz/bryce type shit that anyone can generate en masse.Naturally nobody that is interested in the subject of 3D graphics are interested in posts of such content unless it is made by the actual artists who made it.Like if somebody post the poser model 'Victoria' it's only interesting if the post is by the Daz employed artist that actually made the 'Victoria' model
>>752270hey man i'm just here tryna see some shoulders. y'all nswf fetishists are disgusting
>>751411how is that swimsuit called? asking for science
>>752185Well it got removed, still going to try making it eventually because why not right?>>752322I'm not sure if it has a real name but something along the lines of: open back one-piece skirt swimsuit would probably get you in the right ball park
>>751616happy with how this one turned out, the dress might be more suited to a flatter chest and smaller frame like the ref but its fits quite well regardless. I found out white looking for more ref the character Tokisaki Kurumi has a very slimier dress.
>>752394Did you pirate or buy? Really nice work either way, of course.
>>752400Thanks! MD? Pirated.
>>752402Are cgp safe or no?
>>752404Yeah that's where I got it
Anyone familiar with the MD version on steam. Is it as good as the real thing.
>>752405any tuts you recommend?
>>752438Sorry I've not used any, other then "how do you unhide" sort of thing. >>751933 recommend travis, did take a quick look at this guy seems usefully, he has some good resource and full on guides if that's your thing.>>752413 I've not used it, but looking at the decision and videos it seems the exact same thing.
>>751411>>751935Here's your anatomy reference, bro.
>>752507those aren't cute shoulders i want to look at during reproduction

>>75267626 lol but i only came for shoulders. didn't even notice that was Arthur
im guessing MD lets you export the clothing as obj to use in different 3d package right? RIGHT?
>>753023nobody other than 1.5 clothing designers would need it otherwise lol
>>752581Filename cracked me upthanks, anon
