/omg/ Occult & Magick General

The Occult library is here: https://the-eye.eu/public/Books/Temple_Of_Solomon_The_King/

Here is some other good resources:
- A good Hebrew gematria database http://www.billheidrick.com/works/hgm1.htm

- A list of lore on fix stars http://www.constellationsofwords.com/Fixedstars.htm

If people there is other topics people want good links to just ask.

If you are new to magick here is some good beginner books
- Liber Null & Liber Kaos by Peter J Carrol
- Visual Magick by Jan Fries
- Magick without tears and Book 4 by Aleister Crowley
- The Compete Golden Dawn by Israel Regardie
For Kabbalah
- Inner Space, Meditation & Kabbalah, Meditation & the Bible, The Sefer yetzirah, all by Aryeh Kaplan ( I would read them in the order posted)
- Gates of Light: Sha'are Orah by Rabbi Joseph Gikatilla (if you can find a copy)
-The The Chicken Qabalah by Lon Milo DuQuette ( is a good intro to hermetic Qabalah )
For Grimoires
- Arbatel of Magick and Heptameron are both great

This list is by no means complete but should be good enough info to get started.

So how is everyone's practice going? Any cool results or failures? What do your daily practices look like? What would you recommend beginners practice?

Practical or more general/theoretical?
>>
>>22350998
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Shamanism is an umbrella term for a bunch of primitive religions a round the world. These traditions are pretty unaccessible. Like if you wanted to learn Tibetan Bon or Native religion; I suggest to learn it from a native or Tibetan.
Now we do have reconstructed pagan systems in the west that are very nature based, like Celtic, Norse or Greek paganism.
There is tons of research on psychedelics and spiritual or magical usage in the west too, so that is also an option. Both paganism and researching psychedelics are a more accessible option but psychedelics are illegal in a lot of countries so don't be dumb or illegal.
>>
>>22351136
>Shamanism is an umbrella term for a bunch of primitive religions a round the world.
That's an oversimplification. It's a term for traditions that exist in those religions. There are religions with both shamanic and priestly traditions.

they noticed it. they had done tests before. said i wasnt possessed. those idiots told the demons. i was deep undercover and those fucking retarded christians went and got a demon hunter (failed) and a specialist spook to come investigate.they even let what i assume were slaves try some vodo (failed) they cant tell when something truly dark is right next to them. they have been conspiring with pure evil and are to dumb to notice. they dont even understand why the ones punished are punished. they are blind

now i have noticed the dark entities are circling about. they try to lure me out into the world. they dont understand what i have done they assume me to be some low level guy . they cant figure out why the bounty is that high. im not worried. i have fought them off many times. some arent even looking for a fight. they just kind of follow the pack. but i know a couple of ones looking for a fight are here. how do i know. they were banished already

Thelema is a cult. By grooming you to read 1 billion miles of PDF’s!
>>
>>22354255
That depends on what you do, and it depends on how much credence you give to verses such as Deut 18:9-11.
>When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.
On the other hand, there are some things that are "occult" that wouldn't fall in that list. The contemplative meditation and prayer of christian monastics counts as occult to me. The powers wielded by many saints and Jesus himself are occult, yet those people are called saints and not heretics. If you were to multiply fish and bread using an occult power, would you be a heretic or would you be like Jesus?
Even stuff like the goetia, where you summon demons and spirits, seems like a gray area. If you look at the source material and the lives of the people who engaged in those practices, they were devout Christians using the names of God and his angels to protect themselves and summon demons in order to bind them and use them, often for good. To me that sounds less evil and heretical than, say, summoning demons and being in league with them, and using them or getting used by them to spread evil.
I personally think there's a lot nuance.

Well the new testament has a lot of Hermeticism and Platonism mixed in. Like the idea of Jesus being the Word/Logos is very Platonic/Hermetic. The name IESUS via isopsephia numerates to 888 which is the trice perfected sun again mongoloids will say 8 is Hod/mercury which isn't wrong but in this context is more pointed to the nondualism of the sun and mercury. Also if you take 8 and do this to it 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8; you get 36. 36 is the value of each row on the solar square added it, whether you go diagonal, vertical or horizontal. So as we can see the sun and mercury are linked. Again the 888 thing also shows how Jesus and Hermes Trismegistus are one but I could be here all day explaining that one.

Numerical biblical interpretation is actually a semi-normal Jewish practice and the new testament still have hidden meanings to it via kabbalah and gematria. I would like to add the most magick in the west all the way up to the golden dawn was a christian practice but an esoteric secret one. Like the most popular grimoire is goetia which is a christian grimoire about binding demons to do ones bidding BUT there is a deeper level that a lot of plebians dont know about it. It purpose of the grimoire is actually self purification. What you are suppose to do is find a demon that represents a internal problem you have like Hate or Greed, etc. Then summon the demon and bind it to christ and purify it. Doing this should purify your own internal negative quality but most people dont really know this aspect. A lot of Grimoires are aimed at interacting with angels like the Arbatel of Magick and Heptameron.

>>22354151
Yes. Sometimes the most powerful and empowering spell you do is actually a prank. While you put your sweat and blood to make it happen with all your might these others are observing and laughing at you from bottom of their heart. It was prank all along and you supposed to learn something. Sometimes you need to pull a hardcore prank on someone to make your point or get rid of something. Works wonders if you have what it takes. Sometimes you get offered something so unbelievably powerful / cool / necessary but it's a prank. A prank to test you or make a point.

>>
>>22354443
It's a bit complicated, and I don't fully understand it. I'd have to do some review to give a more precise answer, but basically the Logos is deeply associated with the power used to create the world, or maybe is that creative power. This is, in a sense, what's depicted through mythic imagry in the concept of Chaoskampf. Human beings, having souls, have a sort of lesser or reduced version of this, like an image reflected in a mirror.

In contrast, Logos in Hermeticism is based around rationality/reason, and in the Christian conception, the Logos I a sense takes precedence over the rational mind.

>I generally associate it with Tao. Christ is The Way, after all.
That's not a connection I've thought of before. I personally wouldn't do more than use them as rough comparisons, but my knowledge of Taoism is fairly limited, and I can definitely see why you'd make that connection. In Christ's nature as man, He is perfect, so in a sense demonstrates a mode of being for us to emulate. Likewise, the concept of original sin, in a sense, says that humanity's suffering is due to a sort of discordance(?) with God, which is bit entirely dissimilar with part of the idea of Tao, from my understanding, though Tao is not usually worshipped as a God.

This is something I'm going to have to look into. Thanks for pointing this out to me.

>>22354580
>"a video game character"

You do know the character Palutena is based on an actual Greek goddess, right?
>>
>>22354555
Based on a brief lookup of that, sort of, I think. In the Catholic and (I think) East Orthodox conception, humanity exists in an imperfect state due to original sin. Christ, especially after the Resurrection, demonstrates humanity in its intended, uncorrupted form. The actual good afterlife is that people who are saved will be returned to life in a perfect state and life in the Kingdom of God on Earth (life of the world to come), with going to heaven being a sort of watered down version of the theology. Many eastern religions definitely also have this concept of a sort of fully integrated spiritual and physical perfection (living saints, xian, etc.) but I'm fairly certain Christian theologians would object to the idea that this state could be achieved in this life.
>>
>>22354532
>logos in hermeticism is reason
Platonism maybe. AFAIK the hermetic logos should be similar to the Christian.

But I'm with you that logos is closely related to the force of creation. It is spirit, ש. That's our buddy Jesus. FYI there is a difference between soul and spirit.

Shows the lack of observation and ignorance. This "singular" happens everywhere and by multiple people.

This.
If we accept syncretism as valid then what's the problem with using specific forms of deities from fictional media as objects of focus or worship?
>>
>>22354910
Thanks.
>>22356977
>fictional
Now art is kind of proxy worship for the Gods and Goddesses. So even if it's far fetched as using a plastic figure to represent a deity I think it's fine. We need to put worship in different perspective to gain more understanding whether it's plausible. For someone it's absolutely necessary to go on this hardcore oldschool worship to prove oneself the legitimacy and seriousness. It's totally fine. For someone who has different kind of mentality and perhaps understanding can (yes. Can. Personal experience and observation) yield the same results with lesser work.

To me it is about will and intent. If those are clear you can banish a malicious ghost with lighter (candle) and chewing gum wrapping (mirror). If the target of worship is displeased with used idols you probably get the holler sooner or later.
>>
>>22356977
If you cant tell the difference then who cares, just keep praying to the anime figurine you have on your altar.
>>
>>22357235
No, really, what's the difference between an anime character, any other fictional character, and a character from some shit that was written thousands of years ago?
When the Greeks and Romans syncretized their gods, which party was in the wrong?
>>
>>22357243
>No, really, what's the difference between an anime character, any other fictional character, and a character from some shit that was written thousands of years ago?
The gods were made by cultures in the God making business and intended them for religious and magical purposes. If you actually couldn't tell that I doubt you've ever encountered a God.
>>
>>22357354
What qualifies a culture as a 'God making' culture?
>>
>>22357363
They made gods that lasted from 5000 BC to present day, obviously. If you actually think there's no difference between Thoth and Haruhi then again, you've never successfully worked with a God.
>>
>>22357370
So it is the 'age' of a 'God' that counts the most?
>>
>>22357383
Reading comprehension. It's how well they are made. Do you think you can do better than a trained elite of Egyptian priests or the authors of the Rig Veda?
>>
>>22357395
So age doesn't matter?
>>
>>22357354

It's a vast subject with many sub fields. I'd say the biggest scientific research Into this field is the nature of consciousness. Once we figure out what consciousness is, exactly, we can move forward from there .
Then theres parapsychology, which is more ESP and such, less magick.
Finally it's really had to test something like magick under controlled conditions, (ie let's say I do a money ritual and come into some unlikely money, how can I say for sure I would or wouldnt have gotten it regardless?) but it's common practice among occultists to keep records of their rituals, and what works, what doesn't work.
Finally, few will fund this, and fewer still will risk their career and reputation on something like this, especially that most regard it as bullshit not even worth investigating.
>>
>>22361225
Good points. I suppose we could also add that there's so many branches in occult that it would be hard to know where to look.

>>
Throw me everything you got about werewolves /omg/.
When I succeed I'll come back here with a nice ritual for my peeps (y'all).
There is already a full moon in a few days so this'll be the perfect time to do it.
Here are my plans so far :

-Make a sigil about what I want exactly or rather something close (it will be extremely long, like really long, kind of like a program with conditionals but no loops, at least not direct ones)

-Summon a demon (don't know which one yet but it'll probably Marbas as he can change men's shape) for a deal/contract/whatever.

-kill myself

I'm also doing some semen retention just for the big night. I will also reduce my caloric intake and won't sleep for three days before the special moment.
I just hope I won't end up with clinical lycanthropy like a little bitch and no soul.

Any suggestions?

Not that I'm interested in this or anything haha but can you give me any kind of clue as to the audio file?
Like, I don't really care but if you had like the name or part of the name, or at least the name of the file and not just the title of the audio or like the duration of it, It would be cool I guess, not that I'm too invested in it or anything haha

I've read the NT a few times. You're either with Jesus or against him. He doesn't leave a middle ground.
>>
>>22363902
Who's in control of the cosmos? What does it look like? Death rules all. Life is allowed a small sliver of power and basically only exists at all to be crushed by death.
>>
>>22363912
He doesn't want to kill you. He could have ended it all with Adam and Eve the moment they chose their own way.

You're letting life speak louder than truth. It's the lie we've been sold under since birth. There is life in Jesus, even in the midst of the reality of death and suffering in this world.
>>
>>22363989

One of the biggest redpills is that that son of a mangy bitch Satyr orchestrated the whole thing from the start.
In July, Satyr started REALLY pushing the agenda that you must walk on glass to have the library.
What happened in August?
Ape seemed really bummed out by the way things went, but he promised that if the general improved, he'll return.
What happened next?
Why did it all stopped the moment Ape shut down his library?
Who is the only being whose immediately quieted down and left the thread in peace the moment Ape deleted the library?
Do you know that Satyr has Ape by the balls thanks to some initiatory document? And that by his claiming to be Magister Templi, he's essentially the top cheese of the OSOAA who Ape and Nubti must obey?
Do you know that Ape and Satyr know each other very closely, and that Satyr has all the info and motive to dox Ape for his purpose: to prove that anons here are ungrateful fucks and should have no access to the library? Being the most worthless trip on 4chan, despite the MT, don't you think he got jealous of Ape's popularity and now wants to undermine the thing that attracted the people to Ape the most?
Ape is a success story.
Satyr is a loser: lost his wife, his home, his marbles (he believes he can see when people get posseses, which often happens when you disagree with him). Was addicted. A NEET (the only NEET in the Black Lodge, who refused to work because he LARPed as a professional Reneissance magician). Almost burned the house down because of "angels" (alt net chats point to drugs). He's above fiftty, and he's here, on 4chan. Try to get it: an lder. On 4chan. He's the oldest person here. And he wasted 4 months not allowing people to communicate, playing both sides, setting users against Ape and Ape against the users. And he goes into arguments with obvious teenagers who shouldn't be here, let alone do magick.
He's a vengeful asshole who wants to take everything away from you because you told him to fuck off.

>he's essentially the top cheese of the OSOAA who Ape and Nubti must obey
BS. Don't know about K, but I'm freelancing. My only obligations are to my God, and as far as I know, he's not incarnate.

Also OSOA.'.A.'. is MY project -- K and S had been involved for a while, but have quieted down over the last half year or so. It's basically just me at this point.

>and that Satyr has all the info and motive to dox Ape for his purpose
All three of us can dox the two others. It's really not as big a deal as you seem to believe.

And while I do realize this will likely just reinforce your delusions... you're reading far too deep into it.

Nobody's out to get anyone. The library is still accessible, save for potential updates (I've no idea if K is going to be updating it at all). Nothing has been lost.

God does not have to prove himself to you or anyone else. He told Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It was a sign of his sovereignty. Since man failed his first rule , he banish them from the garden of Eden because the second tree-the tree of eternal life. Jesus is that tree. Trust and love the Lord with all your might, mind and heart and you will enter paradise. Also you are a dumbfag that is a lazy piece of shit for not even attempting to read and comprehend the bible.

LBRP, burn sage or palo santo. Also use a phrase of banishing during LBRP, such as:

LBRP? Please forgive me, I am very new to all of this, but a friend of mine is suffering as a result of Black Magic, so I just wanna be able to suggest stuff that may actually help, or go some way towards helping. I'll pass on those tips, for sure.

Yup, youre still mentally ill, paranoid, and obsessed. Absolutely pathetic narrative building and literal fake news. I cant tell if you honestly believe this insanity or if youre just lying to manipulate the narrative. Either way you're a piece of human garbage and you should tie weights to your legs and jump in a lake.

For several reasons that I prefer to omit, I got interested in gnosticism after much deliberation, so initially I looked after a modern church, Samael Aun Weor seemed bullshit not only because he seemed to worship the demiurge, but also because of his failed prophecies and so on, so I choose pic related, which is the official book of some murrican gnostic church that's kinda active online and so on.

So I read it and they seemed to be worshipping this version of gnosticism wherein god is called Abraxas, and they had very detailed rituals, not only for Abraxas, mind, but for other aeons and powers.

So I started practicing as per their suggestions in the book, and I started feeling weird energy-like stuff in my body. Investigating this stuff I found out that I was being sent signs by this Abraxas being, I could vibrate the name to send energy to areas where I would feel pain, and amazingly, the pain would subside, so I thought it was the gnostic god. It wasn't, after some time, this being by means of arduous energy communication made me understand that he wanted me to pick some demonolatry books to make deals with him and whatnot.

So I quit the whole system and never contacted the being.

Idk exactly, he or other people would bring it up time to time. Just sort of info that floated around. He / others used the term 'amerind' (American Indian) often, you could search that on the archive to see them talk about it.
