I'm new to all of this, how do I control my dreams?

Start with a dream journal, also what do you mean control- lucid dreaming, or controlling what you dream about?
Because controlling the subject of your dreams is easy as fuck. Just repeat a sentence about what you want to dream about it your head, and visualise it in your mind. Keep doi g this until you fall asleep but set an alarm for an hour or two (depends how long it takes for you to fall asleep) after lights out so you can wake up and remember it. And bam, you just had whatever dream you wanted.
>>
not OP here, but been attempting this for years, with attempting a dream journal, as well as mantras, drawing things on my hands, all the commonly said advice, and none of it has worked
>>
My angel has decided to take complete control of my dreams. She's been telling me what I'll dream about before I fall asleep and in my dreams I'm chained to her and she's always beside me restricting where I'm allowed to go.
>>
>>21847923
At that point, you either do or you don't. I lucid dream often now, but only when I have raised my awareness.
>>
>>21847946
so there is no hope for me that means? What is wrong with me that I can't?

The nose pinching technique works great, I become aware that I am dreaming easily. I just always try to wake my monkey ass up because I don't like being fully aware during dreams anymore.
>>
>>21847973
Try a dream drug. Seriously.
If you are a hippie stick to wormwood etc. But if you really want it ty something like galantamine, or Huperizine A.
Once you get the feeling of it you will find it much easier to reach it unaided.

Unless you want to start seeing shadow people and possibly suffer sleep paralysis, id suggest you don’t try to tamper with things you don’t know anon.
>tfw i actually suceeded lucid dreaming
>tfw multiple sleep paralysis nights
>tfw I saw pic related but with long finger
>tfw it was messing with my stuff before it turned to me as if to tell me I shouldn’t be there before i woke up

Hi there thanks for sharing, I'm not the OP but I wanted to ask if the being you saw made you feel scared, or was it just a bad feeling?
>>
>>21847875
Ive had one lucid dream before but it didn't last very long and it wasn't on purpose. Thanks for the advice though.

>>
>>21848134
it was a little of both. To me, it was as if I was called into the principal's office for doing something wrong, and knowing what I did, I felt like a kid just hoping the punishment won't be painful. Nothing happened afterward, but I never tried lucid sleeping afterward, I'd rather not slip into whatever realm I ended up in again.
>>
>>21847973

The easiest way is by taking Temazepam . I used to be able to find online vendors who sell it, but I can't Google them anymore for some mysterious reason . Anyhow, find the lowest dosage you can get . Then take one tablet just before you're about to fall asleep .

And be careful with Temazepam . Don't take it if you're a young lad or for too long of a Time . Unfortunately those 2 dudes didn't specify an age nor a duration .
>>
>>21848463

My apologies, but I forgot to mention something . There are these extra-dimensional beings out there who deliberately sabotage the lucid dreaming ability of certain humans . I'm one such example . And I ran into 1 or 2 dudes here who had the same thing happen to them . You may very well be another victim .
>>
Im learning to lucid dream to date a 5meters tall girl in my dream

this, whatever the heck these things are, i feel like they either enjoy toying with people or are there to police you from controlling your own subconscious. if its the latter, I sometimes wonder if they can be bargained with
>>
>>21848100
oh common, don't be such a pussy, I've seen all this shit, had sleep paralysis with demons growling at me and a shadow saying to me how much of a cunt I am. It's the funniest thing ever. Wish I could do it at will, but I haven't had another sleep paralysis for months even if I tried to deliberately cause it. Once we even telekinetically played catch with a kitten instead of a ball with a shadow being

I don't know if they blocked me somehow from projecting, because when I get to vibrations it stops on my throat and doesn't go further.
>>
>>21848549

Yeah it's pretty terrible man . Some day, I might try the Temazepam if even just to see if it manages to break the lock on my ability to LD . If that doesn't end up doing it, then it may very well be an energy/etheric implant that's causing it .

http://sublime.one/implants.html

And my apologies in advance for the formatting and the color scheme . But that dude has some rock-solid info .

wtf. I can remember a few times i went lucid in a dream only to be noticed by some guys in suits/shades. I feel really uneasy when they notice me i end up losing control of my dream or i wake up.

Nice mention there . Sounds like MIB types . Hmm ... I had no idea they even operated within the Astral . Good stuff to know .

Ok this is how you're going to do it.
>First
Learn the LBRP, do once when you wake up and then at night before going to bed
>No fap
Dreaming takes a lot of energy. Energy you're waiting fapping.
>Third
State your intent. Once in bed say at loud "I'm going to have a lucid dream"
>Fourth
If you still can't manage use a dreaming plant like Artemisia Absinthium, Calea Zacatechichi or Sinicuichi Heimia.
>Fifth
During the day find a time to meditate, lay down, close your eyes and try to see the static in your eyes, you'll start to notice like color moving and blending, after a while you're going to see a light, as if you were looking directly at the sun. Keep looking at this light for as long as you can. If you can't see it don't worry, just keep looking at the color, try to keep your mind quiet.
>Sixth
Keep a dream journal. Upon waking up, try to recal the most you can and write everything down.

How shitty is your life? Dreams are an important escape, the only way i got better at controlling my dreams was wanting to escape abuse for most of my life. What might also help is daydreaming. If you can imagine and visualize and are creative it can translate over to dreams. For someone with high dream recall, I remember when I was younger in my dreams i could only float in the air instead of fly. I had to doggie paddle in the air to get anywhere. As time went on, I imagined flying like a bird and studied the way they fly, as well as watching animu and cartoons. Then and now I can fly with perfect accuracy. Honestly if you don't live in your head it can be very difficult to lucid dream, that is my opinion anyway.

Once you achieve a lucid dream, instead of fucking off and doing whatever
You're going to stop and look at stuff, you're going to notice the thing turning into something else, once that happens you're going to look at something else, repeat for as long as you can. This will help you build your attention and will help you with dreams longer.

Check out Carlos Castaneda's Art of Dreaming for more info. You're free to disregard everything about Castaneda but this book's techniques are legit.
I know this work because I've done it.

>>
>>21849844
I'm definitely gonna read parts of the art of dreaming, but I just looked up Castaneda, and he's insane. Getting into indian-shamanry or whatever. Real interesting guy though. Do you have any other books or alternatives literature I could look into as well?
>>
>>21847923
>years
I used to be super good at it. Try wearing like a heavy watch or something to sleep, make sure you're actually tired, and when youre laying there just feel the heavy watch on your wrist and close your eyes. Then, start to imagine a blank room and just hang out there. The rest comes pretty easily after that, just dont push it by trying to do shit like fly right away. Personally I only had issue with rendering surroundings, it would wake me up when I was flying.
>>
>>21849940
The techniques are legit. My guess is that Castaneda was a high level Gnostic and he wrote the rest of the books as fluff because the techniques alone are hard to digest.
Other books are Ophiel's The Art and Practice of Astral Projection.
And Tenzin Wangyal's The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep.
>>
>>21849951
>Personally I only had issue with rendering surroundings, it would wake me up when I was flying.
That would happen to me too. Feels like noclipping in a video game and leaving the skybox. Pretty surreal.

Read Ophiel's books and ignore everything new age

Just, even if you do get into a lucid dream a great deal of waking time functions are shut off so it's not like you're left in a fully lucid state. You might be able to realize that you're dreaming in black and white and have it all turn into color which is neat. You might be able to make some more objective decisions on the course of your dream.

I'm fairly certain several things remain shut off in our brains even when we lucid dream. I haven't looked at sleep studies to confirm this but it would probably show brainwaves aren't changing during REM sleep between people who lucid dream and those who don't. If studies show a change in brainwave activity with lucid dreamers then possibly different functions might be being regained and then maybe there is more you can try for, if it's so. I guess my point is just try to keep it simple. Try to explore things in your dream that interest you and revisit things that you remember dreaming in the past rather than to try to envision some new fantasy or bringing something alien to your dreams that you've never before dreamt before. We have stores of memories of dreams saved up to work with. You can explore those a bit if you want in semi-sleep period before we drift to sleep where that dream memory recall is more accessible. It's hard to lucid dream something we have no dream memory of.
>>
>>21848467
any idea why they pick just these certain individuals?

Is there any way to achieve lucid dreaming while youre awake and not tired?

>>21847556
The older i get the more my dreams use locations from past dreams, with the result being i know the landscape of my dream world.

The mental mapping gives me some control of my dreams, or at least the ability to react and make choices.
>>
>>21850782

That's an excellent question right there . To be perfectly honest, I don't really have the official answer to that . However, if I had to hazard a guess, they prioritize people who would be considered dangerous within the Astral Plane . Like with me, I started trying to ask some people there some questions . Like how to escape the Matrix, or the cycle of reincarnation . And I think shortly thereafter that's when they took away my LD ability . I was planning on using my lucidity to try to seek knowledge that the beings who control the Earth Plane don't want leaking out .

>>21852297

Good stuff to know . Thank you for the share guy . Now, would it need to be a particular kind of meditation ? Like Vipassana, Zen, Samatha, etc .

Induce you to have a nightmare.
Get very tired but do something like practice maths or something that makes your brain works and stays active. I hve nightmares always that I do something similar....
When you are having a nightmare, you can notice it, and try no to fear to much, just think it is a oportunity to make your brain imagine or change your dreams... some nightmares are difficult to control, in my case, there are ones that I just stay in the phase of "be sleeping" and can't transform into a dream, but I noticed I can play with sounds ... if you want to hear laughs or songs.

>etc.
I can't seem to lucid dream. What I will do is usually play stuff in the background and the background stuff (usually) will leak into my dream.
I can't necesarrily control HOW it will impact my dream. I used to play terrifying playlists and would dream I was a detective solving fucked crimes. I'd set ASMR and Porn playslists and have monster rape dreams sometimes. Binular beats haven't done much.
>I have taken control of a dream before but I shortly wake up after
once I realized I was in control and was getting ready to have sex with a hot friend, then got thrown back in my body other times I realize it the moment I try and do something or even go with the flow (but consciously) I get ripped out of the dream and slam into my body.
>Advice? May try dream journal. Mantra chants don't work. I've done that for decades just to sleep.

It's really funny you say that man . Because way back in late 2016, I actually ordered a copy of this book here . While it's an amazing read, the techniques are insanely demanding . Like you're required to reposition your body every single Time you wake up throughout the course of the night .

Yes. It helps you remember you're dreaming.
>>
i cant remember the last time i was dreaming
i dont know if i do or not, but using weed everyday definetly makes me not to remember any of this. kinda makes me feel bad but who knows maybe im better off this way
>>
>>21847556
Almost everyone dreams while awake instead of hearing others. You need to be well.
>>
>>21855983
I stopped smoking weed eeryday, because I wanted to dream again, I don't know why but it actually does block dreaming.
Dreams become much more vivid after you stop smoking, it kind of accumulates all the lost dreaming if that makes sense. Also between us, weed is much better if you just smoke occasionally
>>
>>21856098
This poster knows what's up with weed. If you can't maintain an extremely frugal relationship with it, don't bother.
