I found this unusual game cart at a flea market last week. Not sure what it is though. Is this a homebrew game or what?
https://lostmediawiki.com/Yeah_Yeah_Beebiss_I_(unreleased_video_game;_existence_unconfirmed;_late_1980s)Please consider dumping it then selling it. It's an unreleased localization of an already fantranslated Famicom game, most probably. If you have more screenshoots of the title screen, cutscenes, and the playable character that could confirm which game it is.Thank you.
>>5978339I want to believe.
>>5978339Probably nothing, just hide it in your attic for the next 30 years.
Don't be dumb, sell it to a retard that would spend his wife's money on stupid shit like this. Get that cash money.
>>5978339Don't dump it, it'll deprecate in value. It is an investment like the rest of your collection.
According to the label on the cart, it's a game from Meldac, the same company that brought us Abarenbou Tengu/Zombie Nation. Could possibly be a shump like Zombie Nation, or at least an early stage of that game's development. If it helps, that muscular figure in the in-game screenshot posted earlier looks like the second boss from Abarenbou Tengu.
>>5978346Serious question for those taking this seriously: what game does this look like? Is it Family Trainer?>>5978381Where are these Kiddy Kongfield comics coming from? Is it one anon?
sure thing fag prototype labels look nothing like thatcompare with this legitimate jaws proto cart
>>5978524Looks pretty fake to be honest
>>5978524OP is just bullshitting, but there isn't really a uniform standard for prototype labels. Some are literally just Sharpee handwriting on a blank shell.
Cool find, OP (if true).Assuming you don't have the means to dump it, you want to:- take more screenshots, legitimize your claim.- put it up for saleIf you want good boy points you'll sell to someone who wants to preserve video games, who will in turn dump it.If you want cash you'll sell on the open market but risk that a hoarder gets it and this becomes unavailable to the public for another 30 to 40 years.
The most honorable thing to do is to send it to someone who will carefully dump it to the internet and then send it back.If this is the only copy in existence it'll score slightly less high on the open market but still for quite the high price
>>5978524OP is in fact full of it, but labels look like whatever the person burning the cart hand on hand. Some of them have really nice labels. Some just sharpie. Some literally a post it. Some just straight up no label.
>>5978683ok this is epic
just destroy it lol, these non-sex having poorcels will seethe at this comment lmao
Is it worth 2k monies? Is someone going to eat communism? Are you going to smash it with a hammer?
Dump it? For preservation?
Erase whatevers on it and put a better game inside and post it on reddit like the 360-prototype-to-PC-case guy.
>>5978524Cool, looks like mine is legit then.
>>5978763That won't be too easy, as any prototype with a "sealed" cartridge likely uses mask ROMs and are soldered to the board. Most prototypes have removable ROM chips and a cut case for rapid testing.
Wannabe Kekrock succesor, eh Anon? If not, fucking prove it.
>>5978684Please be real, please be real...>>5978751kek
>>5978339I suppose you could call it homebrew. You made it at home, right?
Yeah Yeah Beebiss is just Rai Rai Baby Kyonshizu no Amida Daibouken, we went through all of this already.
>>5978339I know nothing of console gaming but I do know that you should consider placing it onto the Internet in order to preserve it for posterity. Saving prototypes and other rare games is essential in order to preserve the history of gaming.
>>5979152He's lying. I bought this game at a flea market, I swear to Jesus.
>>5979437>I know nothingYou could have just stopped there
>>5978339Look like creepypasta story is coming up
>>5978339that sharpie ink looking mighty fresh to me
>>5979152Fuck, really glad to hear this. Hoard bros, there's still chance one of us will be able to get the game and save it, if it exists.
>>5979438You could always prove it by taking a screenshot that wasn't already posted in a Lost Levels thread from over a decade ago.
>>5978339Why must you lie like this?
OP, why must you turn /vr/ into a house of lies?
>>5979902I got a copy a few years ago. I broke it with a hammer figuring that would.make the.next.cppy i found even more valuable
post a video fag
>>5979981Glad to hear that. Gotta work for that retirement.
>>5978763It wasn't a 360 prototype, It was an original Xbox dev kit
Good question. Suppose I were to make a "fake" prototype of this game, complete with a label and cut out EEPROM slots, and proved that it was a real game, and then placed it on auction so that a Chad hoarder could spend 3K monies on it? Would anyone be able to tell the game was clearly faked?
My Aunt bought me an even shittier version of this somewhere in the 3rd world. It's such bullshit. There are 100 games and 90 of those 100 allow you to choose how many lives you start with, so they advertise it as 190 games. Some good games on it though, kept me occupied until the SNES
>>5981851The amount of effort you'd have to go through to program a halfway believable game for the NES on your own probably wouldn't be worth what you'd get paid for selling a single prototype cart. You'd be better off selling it as a homebrew release or something, especially since the chances of you legitimately fooling people are very low.
>>5983689>The amount of effort you'd have to go through to program a halfway believable game for the NES on your ownNot if he used NES Maker effectively.
>>5979436tldr? I can't see what exactly you're to in that link.
>>5981851If you did that you wouldn't be able to prove it was a real game and no one would pay you much for it. Only someone with less knowledge of bootlegs than you would be unable to tell it was fake. No such people have anywhere near $3k.
>>5981851How about you put that much effort into something other than fucking over someone to make a buck?
>>5984071Shitposting a fantasy take very little effort
>>5980068You would just say it was fake anyway.
>>5978339op is gay and fake post another picture of some other sort of gameplay if its not fake.
>>5986574I already posted pics and you said they were fake. If I post more pics or video, you will just say those are fake too, you idiot.
post a video or get out faggot
>>5986587video is significantly harder to fake than still images, plus everyone has a cell phone with a camera. show video if you're not a faggot. (spoilers: you are a faggot)
>>5978346Bigger or gtfo.
>>5983882You don't see the post from 2005 containing the same photos Anon posted here?
>>5984071you know if someone actually goes though all that trouble you have to respect the hustle
>>5983765NESMaker implements games on "Mapper 30", which appears to be a UNROM variant, UNROM 512. Were UNROM games even being made by 1989?
>>5987573Good point, I don’t think that they were.
>>5987616Based on the pricing chart, it would have to have been as complex as Wrestlemania, and more complex than a few other, older titles. Probably the most complex game in 1989 was Sunsoft's Batman, a lot of games in that year seemed to still be very basic titles. Also is it me, or did this magazine also list "Zeta Gundam" at the bottom? That should be a mystery on its own.
>>5987573>something can't do more than one thingzoom>programmable logic didn't exist in 1989zoom zoom
>>5987652NESMaker only makes games for Mapper 30, nothing more, nothing less, and UNROM was laughably old by 1989 standards; it was developed in 1986 for Pro Wrestling.
>>5987643I seem to remember seeing an ad for Zeta Gundam in one of my old gaming mags and being really weirded out since nobody in the US would’ve known what Gundam was at the time.
>>5987708I wonder what was up with that. Was Bandai planning on releasing one of the Gundam games for the NES, in a monkey-see monkey-do reaction to Golgo 13?
>>5987798Maybe? It’s still really strange that’s we even got that game (Golgo) and that it wasn’t localized into something else like so many anime games were.
>>5987860MUSCLE wasn't localized either, but that at least had the toyline to go along with it.
>>5987659>NESMaker only makes games for Mapper 30Well, if you were right then you'd be right. lol
>>5987925It is correct.
>>5987925>zoom poster and lol poster are the same guyUltra fucking magnus based.
>>5987659>UNROM was laughably old by 1989 standardsGotta love these uninformed asspulls anons like to post on /vr/.
>>5987949>It is correct.>IN MY MIND
OP here, I was planning to dump the game for everyone, but like ten people called me a faggot for no reason, so now I'm just gonna hoard it instead. Enjoy never playing Yeah Yeah BeeBiss I you plebs.
>>5988345>but like ten people called me a faggot for no reason...Maybe because you TOOK THE PIC IN THE OP FROM A 14 YEAR OLD LOSTLEVELS FORUM POST: http://forums.lostlevels.org/viewtopic.php?p=9298#9298For all we know you're BMF himself.
>>5988386BMF stole those pics from me. My cart is the real deal.
>>5988393He stole the pics from you 14 years ago even though you got the cart from a flea market last week? It's time to give up the joke.
>>5988345>OP here, I was planning to be a faggot for no reason and mission acomplished
>>5978339The fact that this thread wasn’t instantly deleted goes to show just how shitty vr really is
>>5978339wow can you douse it in lighter fluid and light it on fire first?
>>5978684This looks like a panel of TGT. Good stuff.
OP confirmed for lying faggot.
