alright, was one of the anons that replied. i forgot that i had this open. but i decided to test the AM's, specifically the Compound Eyes one and it works fine, pic related. i have yet to get all of them but for now, i think the AM's for early game are well balanced. getting rid of Swarm for a way more better ability on Beautifly is always welcome. i'll play more and test the other AM's.

Aye, I'm also working on a Gen 2 style fakedex! I like your work anon, however the anatomy on some of them is a bit awkward. For example, the left foot of 006 is completely front facing, which makes the leg itself look broken. Nah, unlike the closed minded retard above says (I bet it's the Gen. 1/2 has stuttering guy, lmao), the fact that there's potentially good games being held back behind a poorly coded engine frustrates me. I want to play said games, but I can't when they run like shit, because experiencing a game at low framerate, with stuttering and with screen tearing is just not fun at all.
The games made with Essentials should be running perfectly smoothly like the official ones (pre-3DS) do, or those made with Pokémon SDK.

I don't have a single problem playing ROM Hacks, because I like the official games too.

Essentials is a hit or miss for me on mine. It runs at 1.8 ghz and generally fuckin sucks, but Infernal Red ran practically as good as a hack with the alt launcher, so I imagine it'd work well in general.

no, this is what happened: i thought Smeltery wasn't working until i saw it on Beautifly and then i decided to Box Skarmory and then unbox it and tried putting Intimidate on Combusken and ended up with Skarmory with Intimidate instead.

I decided to reset the game and test the AM for Hustle on Spinda and it instead appears on Beautifly. pic related shows that i clearly selected Spinda but it ends up displaying that it will replace Beautifly's ability instead.

Compared to it, Ancient feels more legit, there’s quite the good number of ancient pokemon in game that you’d come to referer as ancient (fossils and some legendary pokemon)
Wouldn’t add Dialga though, as the Pokemon that supposedly created Time itself it shouldn’t be ancient as opposed to be kind of “timeless”

Just make your own, lewding trainers is easy. Just get paint.net (its FREE), and edit their sprites on a pixel level, you can get pretty much any sprite in-game from Bulbapedia. Just use their faces for the guidelines of flesh-tones, not even gen VI uses more than like three colors for skin, hair, and each item of clothing individually.
Take this for example you'll note this isn't showing anything rulebreaking since she's fully clothed, first is the regular sprite (Celebrity class from B&W2), second is the same sprite with flesh-colored leggings.

I have been testing some AM's and i think Born Ready Hariyama is one of the funner ones, just beat the 5th gym.

Honestly, i'd prefer making the pokedex completion easier because i can see a lot of potential in AM uses with the Trade-evo mons and version exclusives, not mention that RSE's early game selection is a bit too barren but it's your call on what you want to do.

you could probably keep the Ancient type if you make it focus less on time (I know that was kinda the point, but still). You could use time as a justification for some interesting status-inflicting moves (or even weird rng shit if you wanna go that route), but it might help if you broaden the focus of it beyond time.
Like, you have Ancient Power in your original movelist, yeah? Its description mentions some anomalous "prehistoric power" that you could expand on with the type. Maybe you can have moves that focus on unlocking some hidden ancient energy inside of the pokemon.
Alternatively, you could go with more literal interpretations of "ancient," like a poison-inflicting move based on fossilized viruses or something.
I think it's an interesting idea, and you could probably do some interesting stuff with it.

Prism because it's fucking amazing and it's not even complete yet. Great level curve, incomplete but promising skill level system, varied Pokédex with pokes from 4 regions with the single Kalos poke making it technically 5. OC legends are a mixed bag, but that's also a part of its charm.
Blazed Glazed because it's decently challenging, loyal to the original and polished. The fixed movesets of various pokes is a nice QoL fix.
Last but not least, Gaia because it honestly beats every official game IMO.

tbqh the main reason I ever bother with romhacks is simply because I like the games but want trainers to have more difficult teams that force me to actually use strategies other than "spam SE/STAB attacks from 6 sweepers" while not having to encounter a dozen Wingulls every time I take a step.

Only real problem I ever have is, yes, the towns still being shitty just like the vanilla games. But hey, even GF themselves can't get this right with their remakes. Like ORAS not bothering to expand on any of its towns, so we go from XY and it's impressive-looking towns and cities to... ORAS towns of 4 builds, looking exactly the same as the originals.

Not that anon, but 100% accuracy basically means going down to the chip level. It's true that this is virtually non-existent in the emulation scene, due in large part to performance constraints, but it's also largely unnecessary on a practical level. Once you get down to cycle accuracy, compatibility concerns are mostly a non-issue except for extreme fringe cases.

Virtual Console, depending on the actual platform in question, isn't highly accurate because VC emulation doesn't aim to make entire game libraries playable; so it can afford to and deliberately takes shortcuts, since it only has to target specific games.
