The next State of Play will have a similar but slightly longer duration than the previous State of Play.
And the titles that will be part of it have already been decided by the marketing team, and the general managers, of Sony Playstation.
(this information comes directly from a former senior marketing manager who has worked in the studios of Sony Interactive Entertainment Playstation, communicated via a company email to the employees of the company's marketing department)

And the most important titles for this event will be:

Death Stranding (launch trailer)
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
The Last of Us Part 2 (release date trailer, May 2020)

Ghost of Tsushima is not scheduled for this event.
But it seems that the development of the game is proceeding in a more than favorable manner within the SP studios, but that it has also encountered considerable delays at the same time, mainly due to greater work on the technical side of the software for textures and framerates, to favor in particular the technical upgrade that will be given by the new hardware features of PS5.

The email also communicates how Sony's marketing team has decided to focus, in particular, the software promotion resources of the coming months exclusively on its next 2 top titles, Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part 2.
And to concentrate the marketing promotion resources of Ghost of Tsushima for the next event scheduled by the company's top management, the Playstation Meeting 2020.

Why bother with SoP when they're going to Gamescom?

This vita port flooped so hard loool

On ps4 yeah it did. The real version sold like 3 times as much on switch.

>May 2020 for LoU2

Did it really get pushed to that date because of the launch window for death stranding or was that always the planned release?
>>
>>473910096
Why?
The last two have been so garbage they literally made Nintendo Direct trending again

I hope Sony learned that "Boring, generic voice announcing news with nothing but a generic PS background between the trailers" is a strategy for penny pinchers who don't see to the future. For fucks sake, even Nintendo's first directs, rough as they were, had cameos by Reggie and other Nintendo higher-ups.
>>
>>473910096
>only 3 games

Next Nintenddo Direct when?
>>
>>473910096
I'm sure it'll be just as thrilling as the others.
>>
>>473913273
It has never had a release date or even release window.
>>
>>473912137
It sold close to 10000 copies
I probably would have brought it myself despite not liking fanservice games since I felt bad for them after Sony did them dirty but it was way too expensive.

Hell Kurt and Katie for the Nindies Direct are more iconic than
>Monotone voice announcing games very boringly
>>
>>473915027
Sounds about the right treatment for the games they're showcasing to be honest.
>>
>>473915215
True
That concrete genie game literally made me say
“I’m never buying a VR Headset fucking ever”
Seriously they’d be better off showing off nothing.
Nothing is better than garbage

There was some short lived leaks / shitposting that it would launch between september and november before the release date for death stranding was announced.

Why so few reveals from first party though?
>>
>>473915771
PS5's next year, so Sony wants to save the announcements of PS5 games for the official PS5 reveal
>>
>>473915771
Sony blew their entire load last year and revealed every game they're releasing for the rest of the generation. This is all you're getting until the PS5
>>
>>473915771
Most are concentrated on next gen and they are making even fewer games for it, but bigger. I think the focus on bigger games rather than more was something they said before.
>>
insider here
i've been seeing a lot of speculation about ps5 reaching 2ghz
i can confirm it's true but only during the gpu decompression process (related to no loading screens and whatnot)
regular stated clocks are 1.6-1.8 ghz
>>
>>473910096
If no ff7re, no see no watch
>>
>>473915771
We're going to get a PS5 announcement either this December at Playstation Experience or at E3 next year. It's going to be backwards compatible with all PS4 games with technological improvements and upgrades on them so they're saving their load for that and the exclusive launch titles for next-gen probably shit like Starfield
>>
WipEOut 4 when? What a missed opportunity for Sony to have few number sequels with the number 4 in them this generation.

Ha, I'd forgotten that they were even doing this shit.
I would've guessed that they dropped it after the horrible reception the two shows had.

Too small of a game for them to make
>>
Fake and gay microsoft has the marketing rights for star wars.
>>
Great news.
It was time for Sony to do something good once in a while.
>>
>>473916057
I look forward to that happening again next year. Sony's going to be showing the same handful of games for years and years.
