Save money for an M Transporter and then set it to autotrade microchips. Buy a new transporter when you have at least 500k left over after buying it.

Yeah the economy is completely based around factions losing ships, but the enemies such as the xenon's never rebuild any ships or just no longer work completely forty hours in making the economy go to a complete halt as federations don't declare war nor have any need for more ships.
>>
How do I speed up the universe time? I don't want to spend 20 minutes slowly flying to the other side of the sector.

>>
>>441864212
>As does Aragon's economy, "Fully Dynamic Economy, No scripts" Lol.
Thats the problem. It's a war economy at the moment. Every resource is either used to build stations or ships. If you dont have war (khaak and xenon get btfo early) the economy goes to its limits (as in the god module reaches the max build size for factions for ships) and no new ships get build. All other stations run on full warehouses and nobody buys anything.

The things is though, according to Egosoft, what we have now is normal, and they posted about how they weren't expecting us to want this much combat. We're going to get a new patch soon that increases conflict, but whether or not them not spawning is by design or not is unknown as they never answer not elaborate on questions asked and whenever it gets asked that faggot mod on the egosofts forum comes in to damage control and tell that everything is working how it's meant to.

In my eyes it's clearly not, they're just not admitting it for whatever reason, I don't understand how a series like this, where you would probably spend 50-100 hours in one playtrough would be designed to kill it self after ten hours or so. The whole selling point for this entry in the series was it's dynamic economy and how it will evolve and change without your input and they're right, it does indeed change, into a massive crash and everything stagnating.
>>
>>441877445
i guess outerwilds hasn't technically been released yet either so I can't tell you to shut up
>>
>>441877635
I haven't needed to board anything yet, but normally you can click on it as you're flying and in the context menu at the bottom there should be something like boarding, except it's not labelled as such. But I genuinely think it's just bugged right now lad.

I completely agree, I just really hope, that perhaps what we got is indeed wrong, and the devs are just unaware due all the other bugs taking priorities. I've done like, four play troughs and many on the Egosoft forums as well as steam claim to have seen Massive Battles between factions as well as Huge xenon fleets invading Federations space and players trying to outrun them. I've not seen any of that once and I've tried looking for it. To me it's like they're playing a completely different game, sound more fun then what I'm doing.

>>

>To me it's like they're playing a completely different game
Same. I see a Xenon raider get btfo every now and then and I think I once saw a single Xenon destroyer for a split second when I was using the highway. Some combat is happening without me noticing as I've found a large mining ship wreck and some loot floating about but that was the only time in about 20 hours.
>>
>>441868696
You can get blueprints from data leaks if you have the research. Try tossing an EMP bomb from your spacesuit onto the structure and suck up the data leaks.

Worst thing is though, if these things were indeed happening, you should be able to feel of this in it's economy, prices for wares going up to factories being destroyed and shortage's happening, to shipbuilding material demand skyrocketing as ship production ramps up for factions to replenish losses and retaliate. I've never seen any factions build ships and I always micromanage my traders in a lot of Shipbuilding area's and unless I'm building ships in those shipyards, they never deplete any of their Engine Parts Storage or Shield Storage.
>>
How do you repair data leaks? I'm shooting at it with my repair gun but nothing happens.

Once you've found the leak turn off scan mode to prevent the mission failing. And yeah, that's the thing. Try shooting it from the side or above, if that doesn't work you might just be bugged.

I like being able to walk on stations but the approach they took in Rebirth and now in Foundations is weird. When I think of things I want to do on a stations it's not
>Crawl through vents for sellable junk
or
>Walk 800m to the general store on the other side of the hangar
Being able to climb out of your ship fails to be interesting when there's nothing to do on the station. That's a bit frustrating because my playstyle is to sometimes sit in a station and manage my ships remotely but there's no comfy place to do that, I resort to sitting in the car showroom style wharf/shipyard store. The store/s should have been it's own teleportable location, a bar should always be available and I should have my own executive office in stations I own, even if I have to build the module.
>>
>>441882268
>>441882385
OK I think I got it. What's interesting is
1) if you get too close you will scan the thing regardless of whether you're in scan mode
2) if you select the objective marker (in the pic), the repair laser will lock on to that point which will make it impossible to repair the data leak that is next to it.

>>
>>441860554
How can they still make so many of the same fuck ups? The economy is currently broken, the AI is still braindead, wings are completely fucked, the scale of the ships is completely wrong and handwaving it as space magic is just lazy game design, ugly ass aesthetics overall and inconsistent art direction, space stations that have no reason to exist in their current iteration because of how bland they are and mostly empty open space, awful character models, embarrassing voice acting that could have just been text allowing a lot more story by not needing to spend the time and money on said voice acting, a non-existent story and no point to do anything since the aforementioned economy is fucked, there's half-assed ship interiors where they made them just "open" enough to feel broken and incomplete. Its still unstable and incredibly buggy.

Yes, after the first couple of times you'll hate any instance that makes you leave your ship.
They put in a "teleport back to ship" hotkey to cut out the walk back, at least. So even they realized it was a slog. Now if only you could comm the trader (to sell "small" inventory items, use the crafting bench) and npcs (hire crew from the random pointless npcs around stations, find and talk to a mission npc to simply say "board my ship") from your ship menu instead like the generic Trade function.

The wording of the message they sent would probably reference harsher punishment if they catch you again once or twice more or talk about some three strike rule they apply to all clients.
Google it. There's probably some customer somewhere freaking out and if you're lucky they'll get responses beyond "don't be a criminal scum". I've never heard of spectrum ISP before. Friend got a c and d from comcast years and years ago and went straight back to downloading shit no problem. Presumably because he had downloaded snakes on a plane days after it came out and the production/distribution company were on overtime scaring people, while comcast themselves just had to comply with the demand but ultimately didn't care.

im not very familiar with the lore in X-games but i remember reading a wiki page where it described the kha'ak as bird-insect like creatures that serve a queen and function similarly to an ant colony
thats as much as I know
>>
>>441886557
There is tons of concept art, but not that I've seen for Kha'ak, ofc all the concept art and test models they made don't look anything of what we've gotten in X4, far from it.
>>
>>441887432
Probably because everything in X4 has to look humanoid, also their art team is complete garbage so there's that too.
>>
>>441887709
I think that more of their modelling team is Garbage, the part of the team that did all the concept designs of prior games is really good.

They're the ancient spacefaring community of races that built the jumpgates before advancing enough to transcend their physical forms by simulating their consciousness in clouds of degenerate matter that surround suns and feed off them like dyson spheres.

They still control the jumpgates and reroute their connections to shepard the races of the galaxy as a sort of pet project because they're worried that they'll lose touch with reality and destroy themselves if they don't interact with it. The lore for the map shrinking is that they closed off most of the gates to protect everyone from the xenon.

The Xenon are a bit revamped in ToTT as well, allowing Xenon players to build a unique economy with the use of complex kernals, docked with TLs that are used as "drives", and transport ships that can dock in them to be used as "programs", to make whatever you want to produce, with the required resources of course.

Also killing non-Xenon ships will (slowly) improve rank and give a bit of credits, killing Xenon will penalize you of both.

Also there's a lore-breaking Ancient race you'll encounter later in either the main plot start, or Xenon start.

You people, as an ED and SC player I've been having heaps of fun with it. Might not be "good enough" for past X players but for a newbie it's a pretty good game and worth the purchase.
>>
>>441901401
On the Xenon start, when your reputation with the Xenon gets high enough, you unlock the CPU: Evolution plot. Where you have to reach -2 rep with the Split, then the Xenon AI director hacks the reps of almost all the races to where you're neutral with almost everyone, and the story continues going downhill from there.

From what I understand Xenon and the pirate factions are grossly underpowered and get wiped out within the first 20 hours of the game, also the other factions are suppose to be able to go to war with each other, but aren't. Which in turn stagnates a huge part of the economy because ship building is considered the "end game" when it comes to the economy. No wars means no need for the other factions to buy new ships.

There is a gate in Grand exchange I think the bottom right one that least to uninhibited and unclaimed space, take a look there, it's also a Endless Expendable piece of space, so you can go beyond the borders and increase the size to see if you can find silicon there.
>>
>>441902407
it's mostly in the lorebooks and novels. you dont really see them in the game. but you interact with a member of the sohnen in reunion's plot. who are like one a race of the ancients who decided to stay behind and act as their agents in the material realm when the others transcended.
