It's a diecast COO Model skeleton (scale 1/6):>https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-050799Reposting a little review from anon in the last thread: >>7684058>Anyone else get their Dokuroman skellies yet? I'm a little disappointed, to be honest, but only a little.>+ They are EXTREMELY lightweight, so crazy leaning poses are possible without a stand>+ They hold together way better than I expected>+ Smooth, easy to manipulate joints that are easy to pop in and out>+ They look nice, and are relatively anatomically accurate+ Elbows, hips, and knees have great ranges of movement>- There is no backwards neck movement at all. They cannot look up even slightly.>- Hinged jaw is a nice extra, but it's a little loose on some and the tooth sculpt is so shallow it might as well not be there, making them look like Mr. Bones.>- Shoulders get maybe 15 degrees of outward movement at best, you will not get much out of them>- GITD one has weak glow--big particles of GITD powder are visible in the plastic under a blacklight.>- Feet are sculpted realistically--this was a mistake. There are two contact points at the heel and mid-foot, and this combined with very small feet makes them surprisingly hard to stand/balance even in basic poses. They should have just gone with an unrealistic, but stable, flat foot.>It sounds like I have more negatives than positives here, but really, I'm not mad at em. They're decent additions to the skelly collection. I just wish they were done a little better. And also I hope OG Dokuroman isn't gone forever, cause those are better toys overall.
Are there any good robed/magic user skeletons? Last thread had a lot of good armored/warrior skellies.
>>7705605Not that I know of, but it's not too bad to get a robe for a skeleton.
>>7705605This guy from BFS. He's got a very nice swappable skeleton head, if you are okay with him being 1/18th scale.
What are the chances I can get a few revoltech skeletons for cheap before Halloween?
Why is almost all the Pose Skeleton stuff on Amiami sold out? Did they just run out of stock for now or did they stop stocking them? I've never seen them have so few PS stuff
>>7705705Define cheap. You can pick up bootleg Jizai skeletons for ~$20 all day on AliExpress. There isn't any such thing as a "cheap" Jason and the Argonaut skeleton these days.>>7705716Re-Ment has stopped producing them. The line is done.
>>7705719These are dark times for skeletonkind. Homefully Halloween will bring some new goodies.Revoltech needs to reissue that bad boy. Especially the 1st version with the octopus and Ymir shields.
>>7705725>These are dark times for skeletonkind. Homefully Halloween will bring some new goodies. Hell yeah, it is. Big Pose skellies are back at Bl, though, so at least there's that. As for a Argonaut skeleton rerelase, I imagine it's a rights issue. That doesn't really stop them from tooling up a new skull and releasing it with non-Argonaut accessories, though. Unfortunately, Kaiyodo seems wrapped up in capeshit.
>>7705725>Revoltech needs to reissue that bad boy. Especially the 1st version with the octopus and Ymir shields. That's something many of us have been saying since a long time hereIt would be a easy money maker form them, someone had said/make a guess that they haven't done a reissue because Kaiyodo have lost the licence, but can't stop them from making a rebrand as a generic enemy from generic JRPG game as said by anon on >>7705732>>7705719>Re-Ment has stopped producing them. The line is done. We're entering to dark times, fellow boneroids
>>7705660Yeah, I could make one.>>7705692This is pretty rad!
New to these threads, what are these Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S.? Are they like budget Mythic Legions? They seem rad.
>>7705804I'm fine with that.
If you have the money to make a skeleton toyline, what would you do? accessories count, extra parts, battle gear, etc.
>https://twitter.com/EP_CAPSULE/status/1143458838705790976>>7705860Skeleton Warriors reboot?
>>7705860Basically Revoltech Argonaut Skeleton Meets fill-in-the-blank Time Period/Military Subject here, though this quickly devolves into "throw a skull and skeleton hands on all the Revoltech things".Either that, or forcing Freeing or Max Factory to make a Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san figma.>>7705895That is some damn stylish furniture. Aren't those skele-bots related to the Daretoku?! Oretoku!! line? What did you think about the October Toys Skeleton Warrior reboot, such as it was?
>>7705798I have two and I really like them! I can't compare them with mythic legions because I don't have. (Sorry for the shitty photo)
>>7705911Seconding this idea and specially for Honda-san
>>7705911>or forcing Freeing or Max Factory to make a Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san figma. It's more easy to make some custom made clothes for a skellie and call it a day?>What did you think about the October Toys Skeleton Warrior reboot, such as it was?I forgot that reboot, but as I have got any of these figures I can't really give an opinions about them, I think Anon-ze or another anon did a little review about them in the pastAnd to keep on topic, here are some links with pics for the skellie pirateshttps://twitter.com/uedf37d8e78yi/status/1152144463021539329https://twitter.com/uedf37d8e78yi/status/1152184302773235712https://twitter.com/uedf37d8e78yi/status/1152185015301599232https://twitter.com/uedf37d8e78yi/status/1152415269760843778https://twitter.com/uedf37d8e78yi/status/1153202324073881601https://twitter.com/uedf37d8e78yi/status/1154645312788582402https://twitter.com/uedf37d8e78yi/status/1154979952099393536https://twitter.com/uedf37d8e78yi/status/1154997872812675077https://twitter.com/suekichiii/status/1151837461007368192https://twitter.com/suekichiii/status/1161616515856130048https://twitter.com/suekichiii/status/1161618971419799552https://twitter.com/lefty_tb/status/1153325241268989953https://twitter.com/lefty_tb/status/1153639104803790853https://twitter.com/lefty_tb/status/1153655112218267648https://twitter.com/lefty_tb/status/1153676704033857537https://twitter.com/lefty_tb/status/1153682759497338881

>>7705936>It's more easy to make some custom made clothes for a skellie and call it a day?Well, seeing as Max Factory can't bother to put much effort into anything that isn't Fate, perhaps you're right.
>>7705949>seeing as Max Factory can't bother to put much effort into anything that isn't FateSadly, but true words there my friend>>7705860>>7705911Maybe, aside of a 'Argonaut Skeleton Meets fill-in-the-blank Time Period/Military Subject here' line, what about of making a proper mass porduced line of the skeleton figures made by Mystic Articulations? They have a good variety of different skellie mystic creatures>http://www.mythicarticulations.com/skeletons.html
>>7705960>Maybe, aside of a 'Argonaut Skeleton Meets fill-in-the-blank Time Period/Military Subject here' line, what about of making a proper mass porduced line of the skeleton figures made by Mystic Articulations? They have a good variety of different skellie mystic creaturesYeah, I can get behind this idea.
>>7705960That could be a super skeleton toy line, especially if they are well articulated
>>7705940>>7705936>>7704183Sorry if I'm blind or retarded but what brand/company are these?
>>7705719I think those 20 bucks aliexpress jizai okimono skellies are bootlegs no?
>>7705719>Re-Ment has stopped producing them. The line is done.that's a shame, I would have loved a few more. At least I have one happy skelly family
>>7706058Definitely.>>7706049Only the white skeleton in >>7705936 is Re-Ment, the rest are by Kaiyodo.
>>7705798>Are they like budget Mythic Legions?Yeah, pretty much just 1/18 generic fantasy figures. I have a few and they're pretty fun, but some of the articulation, especially in the ankles, is pretty disappointing. Great accessories though, the green robe wizard is my favourite and he comes with a bunch of cool stuff
>>7706049Wait I thought they were dead? Did they come back? Where can I buy these?
>>7705809They're also a ton of fun to customize.
>>7705719>You can pick up bootleg Jizai skeletons for ~$20 all day on AliExpressYou can find Mandarake Jizai skeletons for ~20-30$.I did it at least, and it's not that bad(well, argonaut is better)
>>7705895Is that 1/18 or 1/12?
If anyone is looking for a more chibi type skeleton try the Treasure X stuff, they're usually rather expensive for what they are but some of the skeletons are rather nice and you're guaranteed to get a treasure chest of some type out of it and a random accessory that could be gold colored and metal. Also most of the wave 1 and 2 figures and dragons are being clearanced out at Walmart, should be like $2.50 - $4 instead of the regular $10 - $15 normal price
Only bone heads drink and drive
>>7706878>HEY MAN, YOU BLIND?
>>7706880>I left my head at home.
>>7705901I want that. What's this history on these? Also, after playing with the Kaiyodo skeletons some more, they're just okay. Like, I dont think they're really worth the price. I have bother the old Pumpkin ones and the pirate ones. The pumpkin ones may have better articulation but the joints and heads can easily snap or come off ( they were meant to do that but it's annoying). Pose skeleton can be a bit frustrating because you dont get 100% human articulation but they are aesthetically pleasing. Can someone rank the skeleton lines so we can debate what is the the best and worst of modern skeleton figures?
>>7704183Hey, those Cube Figure playsets take me to a weird page for Minecraft stuff. Did I do something wrong?
>>7707184I dont think so. I have found it's hard to get those office sets online. I might get a bunch of em and try to sell them on here for other people.
>>7708046What do they normally cost?
>>77092385 bucks. I wont charge a lot for em. Just need to cover what I paid and for shipping.
>>7709267Okay will I could seem myself buying off of you. I guess post if you ever do it.
>>7709286Ok, I will post if I get them.
Looks like we're getting some more unusual Crazy Bonez this year...http://www.bogleech.com/halloween/hall19-crazybonez.html
>>7710054LOL on the seahorse and the crab! As if they had/needed an internal skeleton....!
>>7705911>What did you think about the October Toys Skeleton Warrior reboot, such as it was?I liked the figures that October Toys made, even with the odd scale (I prefer 1:15 over 1:18). But, the only figure that made any sense in that line was the plain Titan skeleton, which could be bought in multiples, and dressed/equipped differently for variation. Too bad they never got to the skeleton Guards/Soldiers. It's a bit vague about what happened to Oct Toys, but they apparently put all their eggs in one basket to try and Kickstart a Grimskull figure, which did not succeed, and then they spent MONTHS on radio silence and then they closed down. Not certain as to the current availability of their unsold stock.
Whoh, hang on there, folks! it took some looking, but I've located where to buy the October Toys skeletons, direct from George Gaspar. He has 2 entirely new color variants, produced after Oct Toys closed up shop. He's still getting more mileage from those molds, i see.https://doublegtoys.storenvy.com/collections/1731510-titan-skeletons
>>7710610I grab one of each save the blue. Unique colors. Hoping for quality.
>>7710610I was gonna say that I thought George was still selling them. I guess things with OT went tits-up around the time him and Ayleen parted company.>>7711251That's not a bad price, actually.
>>7711371Yeah, only Mandarake deal could be better(but it will be used then).
Man I missed out.
>>7711430The seem like they've got some good posing.
>>7711362No doubt about the quality of the OT skeletons. If you don't mind a bit of stylization (they're not anatomically accurate) they are a good deal for the money. I'm surprised to see the transparent crystal blue one up for sale. It was originally a Kickstarter-only offer, but now, anyone with 15 bucks can get one!
>>7711443Hey? Here's a question, do you prefer your colored colored skeletons with a wash or without?
GOD DAMN! I missed that beauty in the back>>7711457Eh. For how small they are, it's fine. Pose skeletons were like anime aliens.
>>7711458With a wash. However, the transparent skeletons don't hold a wash very well (diff type of plastic) so I ended up having to remove all of my washes from it. The plain skellys hold washes very well.
>>7711488>Eh. For how small they are, it's fine. Pose skeletons were like anime aliens.Actually, in proportion to the OT skellys, the Pose skellys make perfect kiddos. Correctly proportioned to be a 6 year old if the OT is the parent and the Pose skelly is the child.
>>7711502I was thinking of buying a black and a brown wash. I think Brown would be good on the bone colored ones but but anything else would need black. Have you ever played around with the was colors?
A few of the OCtober Toys skellys in colors that are not currently available on George Gaspar's website. Decent price to get the plain ones.https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.A0.H0.Xoctober+toys+skeletons.TRS1&_nkw=october+toys+skeletons&_sacat=0
>>7711506Just the black wash is fine. It's a dilute black anyway. Technique is to give the skelly a bath in water and Dawn dishwashing soap to remove any factory oils. Let it dry. Apply the wash with a brush, letting it get into the grooves. Let it sit for 5-10 mins. wipe off with a soft rag. That should bring out all of the details. Seal with acrylic clearcoat. I wouldn't recommend spraying, since that could interfere with the articulation. I spray the clearcoat on a card and use a brush to paint it on the skelly. Only works with the plain skellys, not the translucent ones or the glow in the dark ones.
>>7711527Yeah I was gonna asked with the sealer part. You think a thicc liquid sealer, but only using a small amount would be fine? Would I have to deal the whole figure to make it even ( ie: not have raised clear texture where the sealer was added)?
>>7711544These. Not a thick sealer.
>>7711586Matte, not gloss, right?
Dollar General has army men skellies for Halloween.
Saw this guy around. Seems to range from 15 to 20 dollars. From a line called Eldritch Creatures.
>>7712476If you saw them at Dollar General there should be a mummy army for sale to. Do mummys count as skeletons?
>>7713980I would say no. They still have skin. They are a dry fleshie
>>7713980Get outta here, Jerky Boys! Looks like you got some toilet paper stuck to you there! But srs, though, didn't see 'em. Probably already sold put, there were only a few skeletons left. Probably would've grabbed that one too, I'll keep an eye out.
Pic mooched from Toyhype.
>>7714153I ordered the clear blue one. Nice to see these skeletons around again
Well well well.... look at time it is at Big Lots store....
>>7714219Anyone knows If there are these In Europe?
>>7714235I don't recall any sightings of them in Europe last year.
