Welcome!A thread for discussion of fashion dolls including Barbie, Disney, Wild Hearts Crew, LOL OMG, She-Ra, DC Super Hero Girls, Harry Potter, Living Dead Dolls, Licca-chan etc but not BJD.Other toys considered dolls as well as girl collectable toys that are related to dolls or can be used as accessories to dolls are also welcome such as LOL, Capsule Chix, Shopkins, Polly Pocket and the like. Old thread: >>7695123
>>7702161You can get a Precious Moments Tiger Lily doll if you're not put off my those Precious Moment faces. There's also a plush doll version that came out a few years ago.
>>7702188Cute, she looks like she belongs in It's a Small World
>>7702188Wendy, Tiger Lily, and Alice get very little love, which is why I bought two Designer Alice/Queen sets. I wanted to ad one to my designer doll shelf, but I also wanted one to play with, and touch.
>>7702192What body is that redhead in the corner?
>>7702006>Personally I like to mix expensive adult dolls with cheap playline stuff. Are you me?
>>7702173Since I am not remotely savvy about all these things and I just collect what I like for my nefarious purposes, can someone tell me if we are getting any more MTM variants anytime soon? the current "always available" I have seen are Yoga Barbie, Curvy and a brown skinned one with a bun on her head whose pre-root doesn't inspire me any confidence (I like to be able to change hairstyles every ones in a while), the yoga Asian one is almost nowhere to be seen where I live.>Pic not quite related, a local bazaar with tons of stuff.
>>7702204Bought a $15 Made to Move redhead Yoga doll at Walmart, and put her in a $2 midriff revealing Sparkle Girlz outfit.
>>7702222Made to Move Ken is coming.. the fuck is with that hair though
>>7702253Eh, I am not exactly interested in male dolls but at least a few people I know will like it, the hair can be fixed.
>>7702192I'd give just about anything for those characters to get regular dolls. >>7702253Has there been confirmation that he'll have that hair? I know the Barbie Insta posts a lot of stuff that was never intended for mass production.
>>7702055>Someone who can't afford to pay rent isn't gonna buy Barbies>buy>Implying.
>>7702103>You have to own at least one silkstone Barbie or Disney Designer doll to post here otherwise get the fuck out.No>>7702144>- Disney Designer dolls are too big to look good with most other dolls, making them worthless unless you want to leave them in a box on your shelf or if you have a giantess fetishI think you are confusing 17" LE Disney dolls with 12" Designer Disney dolls. The designer dolls aren't giant, but they are over priced, especially now.
>>7702253>It's a man bun Ken doll with rooted hair.
I need there to be a release of another pale-skinned made2move, and some boys with articulation. As a doll nerd with a deep history with comics, I need to have some bodies that can hold poses.I need to believe there will be a release soon.
Why is super mr clear the only good sealer for repaints?
>>7702575No idea, don't breathe that shit in though, it will kill you
>>7702596That's why I wish there was an alternative, I tried to see how Tru Film looked after a single layer and even the mate finish looks a bit too shiny.
>>7702575I think it was specifically designed for use on all Japanese model kits, including ones with vinyl or other soft parts. All the western ones are for hard plastic model kits or metal.
>>7702575As someone who does repaint a LOT, MSC is the least finnicky of the ones I get from my hobby store. The main issue is that every other sealant SOMETIMES acts like shit on vinyl, either going cloudy, not curing properly, etc etc. And most repainters would rather front up the money for a good sealant with minimal issues than risk hours of work with a cheaper sealer.Of course MSC has its own issues and you need to treat it right but MSC usually is the least annoying of the brands I've tried out.MSC also layers up really well, so if you wanna save your progress without damaging the layers underneath when you fuck up, you spray on sealant. Testors Dullcote only layers on well for about 5 layers then afterward it can start to get noticeably yellow or lose its tooth.Other sealers just don't work on vinyl cuz it reacts with the plasticisers such as stuff you get from a hardware store, or the crap you get at art stores like mod podge and sealants meant for paper. So I usually use MSC for a full face up with many different elements, but I use Testors Dullcote if it's less intensive and I only need a few layers of sealant.
>>7702253Is... is that real? They'd better give Ken different body types (and perhaps a neckbeard).
>>7703114Yes, was posted on Barbie’s official social media, though whether it is released to the public is unknown.
>>7702253>>7703159When they will release Petite MTM?
Star Wars dolls are up on Barbie Signature for preorder.
>>7703306Fine I guess, but since it doesn't look like their usual garbage I bet its one of those pricy $100 Black label Barbies. Personally would have preferred a sexy slave Princess Leia if I'm going to pay collector prices. instead.>>7703309It's ...It's ....well there it is. I like her white skin toneand I bet her blue hair feels nice and soft. >>7703311No. Just no. Something about this just wants to make me tell Disney to suck on a lemon.
>>7703331She looks better without the glasses. Should have gone full Vader mask or kept the glasses off.
>>7703306She's pretty but...This one disappoints me the most because there's reallllly not much distinguishing this from her actual outfit. The sleeves are bigger, she's got a clutch, and gladiator boots. Big whoop. I get that they were inspiring this from A New Hope looks but god there are so much more interesting Leia outfits they could have worked with AND they could have avoided the dreaded "no one gets my buns right" effect.
>>7703306>>7703309>>7703311>no PadmeOh well, they don't look well articulated anyway. >>7703311>Darth Vader as evil fashion designer/modelKek
>>7703306I like her in box look best, though
>>7703311She's growing on me.
>>7703309I forget I hate that face mold>>7703335>kept the glasses offI think the glasses are nice addition. >should have gone full Vader mask Just the breather with the helmet instead of full mask would've been cooler imo.
>>7703335>Should have gone full Vader mask or kept the glasses off.if only if only, the woodpecker sighs...
Does anyone know if Barbie Signature charges for pre orders right away or do they only charge when it ships? I'm tempted to get Vader but I'm saving up for something else this month...
>>7703335>Should have gone full Vader maskWould you look at that. She actually has a nice face under those glasses. Love the gray eyes. The whites in her eyes almost look like tears, and I like it. Also like the gray eye shadow. Can't see any of that with the edgy sunglasses on though.
>>7703359>I'm saving up for something elseIs that a doll may I ask? Sorry I can't help you anon, never ordered from their site.
>>7703343>here are so much more interesting Leia outfits they could have worked withWhich Leia outfit would you have preferred instead ?
>>7703344>Darth Vader as evil fashion designer/modelI don't like faux fur . It's all coarse, and rough, and irritating. And it gets everywhere.
>>7703345Still think she would have shined in a slave Leia outfit. Just look how nice her ponytail looks on the artwork to the left of the box.
>>7702575The Volks spray is basically also MSC so it behaves the same.
>>7703335Is the wig removable?
>>7703346That box just makes the whole thing look so generic looking. If you took away the logos, and artwork you wouldn't be able to tell if it's a Mattel Barbie doll, a Star Wars doll, or a Darth Vader doll.
>>7703388God, I hope so!
>>7703365>Is that a doll may I ask?No, some ballet tickets which I'll have to buy upfront. I am also setting aside some money for possibly the Disney Designer Esmeralda and Meg dolls, depending on what they look like, but as far as I know they won't be released till October or November to the public.
>>7703371I think they could have done something really interesting with the Bespin dress, especially that pattern. I know logistically it's not even remotely iconic but I'm so bored of all the Leia dolls in the white dress.
>>7703418Sounds nice>Meg dollThey never do her justice, in fact besides the recent Elsa, Anna and Moana they never get the character design right. >>7703388>>7703395Barbies usually have rooted hair...
>>7703309She looks like an extra from Blade Runner.
>>7703309Someone on Facebook is whining about the blue patch because "now we can't use her for anything else but this"Why would you expect them to design a Signature Barbie with customization in mind. If you want a blank canvas, get a cheap fashionista head.
>>7702544Consider buying Japanese bodies.>>7703306Finally, a princess Leia that doesn't make me want to kill myself. How much are these gonna be?
>>7703311Looks like a genderswapped Severus Snape.
I wonder if this old slave Leia doll's outfit would fit on other dolls.>>7703491If she's gonna customize it anyways, couldn't she just erase the blue patch?
Wait, so do we not know how much these are yet? I already blew $150 on the Marvel ones. I really just want the outfits, so it’s hard for me to justify dropping money on these and open them if they’re gonna be so expensive.
>>7703491>>7703536>customization Maybe he wanted to simply dress her up in something else? I mean he could still do that, just search for/made cool futuristic Sci-Fi clothes. >>7703517>Consider buying Japanese bodies. Not him, but these are the old outdated Obitsu bodies>Finally, a princess Leia that doesn't make me want to kill myself. How much are these gonna be?100$
>>7703581>$100Welp. Not doing that then. That R2 is really cool too, shame.
>>7703581I got this week my first Precure Style doll. As you may tell she's not in original besides the wrist ruffles, yes I have this much fun with her. Somewhat short review: Her hair feels so nice, it's nicer than licca, and even Azone. It maybe on the same level if nore not more so than my repro Skipper. However it's in no way thickly rooted as Skipper, but I wouldn't call it thinly rooted either. Downsides for it: cut uneven and easily get messy (but it's not to hard to put back to shape too). I didn't took a picture of her body but you can see one here >>https://stat.ameba.jp/user_images/20180517/14/ukiwasuki/a2/62/j/o0720108014192739786.jpg?caw=800Anyway, overall her body is so much nicer looking than licca; no saggy boobs, curved back, more defined legs shoulders and torso. She can extend her arms outwards unlike licca. The only things less good about it, is the shape of her hands (licca hands are more dainty and prettier), arms got rough texture and ugly seamlines at the back them (unlike licca smooth arms).
>>7703575They're Gold Label, so $100. If you really want the outfits, buy them and sell the nude dolls for $50 each.
>>7703614Best of all she got click knee joints! It's been years since I bought a doll with click knees. They even almost reach straight angle. Her feet are tinire from licca for better or for worse. Shoes the fit her are Olsen twins by Mattel, regular barbie flat feet and Lottie doll which are exact match but can be too tight while wearing socks. I wish her feet were detailed like my new Haruto.
>>7703621Her shoes are quite big and look too much clownish.
>>7703627Her dress is quite nice not amazing. They tried to do puffy skirt effect, but failed hard and it seems like it's uneven length. It's still cute looking and quite detailed, especially in comparison to older precure style dolls. Her bow is very cute, unfortunately you need to use a hole in her head to put it on. The hole is easily hidden when not in use.
>>7703634Back viewStill detailed though the bow not in the center. I forget to take a picture of her pen, it's nice addition.P.S. She doesn't got pointy ears like the show which sucksThat's all folks.
>>7703388>Barbie>WigIt's a Barbie, not a BJD. The hair is rooted.
>>7703615Who's going to pay $50 for a nude Barbie? These aren't even silkstone bodies.
>>7703614She's beautiful. It seems rare for normal fashion dolls to have anime faces. How much was she?
>>7703581Welp. They're not cool enough to drop 100 bucks on. I'd rather spend that on a princess Fiona doll.
Would BJD wigs work on those bald cancer barbies?
>>7703781ThanksShe was around 25$Unfortunately, most of the current Precure season (Star Twinkle) are sold out and only the pink one is left.I hope they bring them back, I wanted the purple one too. But alas, their will always be new Precure Style dolls, hopefully next season would be good as this.
>>7703790It all depends on the head circumstance, I believe you can find some wigs for Barbie.
>>7703795Or you can make some.
>>7703781>It seems rare for normal fashion dolls to have anime facesIt's pretty standard in Asia, and some western dolls have wannabe anime eyes these days.
Frozen Anon here. How are y’all feeling today? Let me tell you, the things I do and the money I waste just to keep ya’ll informed on the latest playline doll to hit the shelves…
>>7703817You could have just taken a pic of the doll on the store shelves.
>>7703817So yes, we’re going to review the She-Ra doll today. Mattel released this She-Ra doll back in 2016 during San Diego Comic-Con as an exclusive. It was sadly one of the worst selling SDCC exclusives that Mattel ever made. It was sold on the their online shop for heavily discounted prices for months. And that’s a shame because it’s one of the greatest dolls Mattel ever produced. Developed by Monster High creator Garrett Sander as his final project for Mattel. A highly articulated, muscular body that has never been reused so far. Three separate outfits & accessories for She-Ra’s toy look, cartoon look, and for her secret identity, Adora. All topped off with a HUGE full color double box featuring some great artwork on the outer box and a terrific Castle Grayskull backdrop inner box. She’s the perfect blend of a gorgeous fashion doll and a dynamic action figure. Strength & beauty oozes out of this doll. Truly a great figure and well worth the $75 price initially asked.
>>7703820...And this is Nu-Ra. A mass-market version of the She-Ra from the new She-Ra cartoon on Netflix. Now it may seem unfair to compare a playline doll to an exclusive collector doll, but seeing as how She-Ra cost me $40 (With free shipping!) compared to Nu-Ra’s $15, (Plus 9% tax in my neck of the woods.) that extra $25 gives you a lot better bang for your buck.
>>7703824Before we get into the review proper, I just need to rand about these damned tags in the head. There’s eight of them in Nu-Ra’s head. EIGHT! How does Mattel expect a little girl to remove Nu-Ra’s crown if there’s all these things holding it in place. I use nail clippers to remove the top tab and push ends into the head. I can hear them rattling around in her noggin.
>>7703830Initial impression of the doll is that everything feels awkward. She’s got a fairly realistic body with a huge cartoonish head. Her magical boots look like a pair of Wellington muck stompers. Her bicycle shorts ride up to give Nu-Ra a wedgie ever time she lifts her legs. The sword is so heavy that Nu-Ra’s arms droop if she holds it up. Her elbows are super stiff to move and feel like they going to break if I don’t adjust them slowly.Everything on this doll feels ungainly as a kid going through puberty, which is not surprising, seeing as how young looking they made Nu-Ra in the cartoon.
>>7703835Here’s all she comes with out of the box. The cape is attached to her romper suit, so it’s kinda tricky to get Nu-Ra’s melon head & hair under the attached cape to remove the romper, which opens in the back.Special mention goes to the belt/armor/shoulder-pad/collar thing that’s all one piece of golden plastic. Taken out of context of the doll, it kinda looks like bondage gear. I’m sure some customizer out there is readying his/her black Krylon spray paint to do just that.
>>7703836Doll comparison time! A lot of people guessed that these Nu-Ra dolls would be based on the older DC Super Hero Girl bodies. But nope! They’re a mutation of the Wonder Woman/WWE Diva bodies. The arms are practically the same as the WWE Diva’s arms. The legs are shorter with slightly smaller feet, but bigger than Barbie’s tootsies.
>>7703840The torso is a sort of 2.0 upgrade from the WWE diva body. Nu-Ra’s torso is longer, less busty, with slightly more width in the hips. There’s less detail in the abdomen muscles too. Speaking of sculpt, Nu-Ra has NO sculpted on panties! And even better, she’s got a slight hint of a vag slash! Huzzah! At least there’s one thing going for her!
>>7703830I found a cleaner way to remove them assuming the head is quite soft, pull them with pliers, they will bend and come out with little resistance.
>>7703841When I first spotted Nu-Ra in the store, she reminded me of DCSHG Supergirl in appearance. Side to side, there quite a difference. Nu-Ra’s head is a lot smaller. She’s also got a very square man-chin, much like those Disney live action movie dolls have. The dark upperlip/pale lower lip makeup also bothers me for some reason. Maybe it’s because she looks so damn smug. Some people were complaining about the quality of Nu-Ra’s hair. I’m not a doll hair fag, so I can’t tell the difference between various qualities of hair. But I can tell you that it does feel a bit stiff & crinkly. There’s also a stray lock at the bottom that falls lower than the others. Gonna need to cut that.
>>7703845Alright, gloves off. Dolls are naked. Time for your favorite part of the review; the lewd pics.
>>7703848You knoe, I’m not doing this for any sexual kinks or whatnot. I just really don’t like the Nu-Ra show and I’m venting my frustrations out on the doll. Why must (((they))) spread their disease across ALL the franchises?
>>7703853I mean, fat Glimmer? Blacked Bow? Bow’s two daddies? Shota He-Man? It’s like a bad joke you’ve already heard several times by the office douchebag.
>>7703855>B-but I poop from there!!!>Not right now you don’t.
>>7703853>Why must (((they))) spread their disease across ALL the franchises?Take your poltard shit out of here, Noelle isn't a Jew.
>>7703859I can’t recommend Nu-Ra. Everything about her feels cheap & awkward. That’s not to mention the slightly gross feeling I have that I’m supporting that horrid cartoon by buying this doll. The only positive is the slightly pale body, which I’m going to repurpose for another doll. But then again, the MtM curvy pale body is readily available and I’d much rather have bought that for customizing rather than Nu-Ra. I’m just trying to make lemonade out of a lemon of a doll.To be honest, I really didn’t want this doll in the first place. I preferred to get Catra, because at least she’s a catgirl, but all the Targets in my area were stocking just Nu-Ra and nothing else. But as a shitty doll reviewer, it’s my solemn duty to waste money on unwanted dolls to warn you people. And maybe get a chuckle out of you as well.
>>7703863>Let’s cleanse the pallet with a dolly take on an ol’ Shadman favorite...“Alright Hunter, I’ve finally got a part for you in a hot new doll line!”
>>7703867“Thank you, sir! It’s difficult finding work as male doll.”
>>7703855A bit of one single episode was the only good thing about the show.
>>7703867“This will be your new costume! Try it on now!”“Do you want this job or not?”
>>7703874“Are you sure this isn’t a girl’s costume?”>INB4 a pic of a Mousades King doll walking back into her mouse hole.
>>7703863Take a pic of her in the gold stuff and nothing else.
>>7703863Are there any dolls she can share shoes with?
>>7703824You must've gotten one hell of a discount.
>>7703836At least she has a feminine form...
>>7703813There are asian dolls that aren't BJD or Licca?
>tfw no gentle daddy
>>7703581I wish the Obitsu 22cm bodies weren't constantly going out of stock everywhere. I want a few more for my Liccas.
>>7703788Does anyone know what that pink corset is from? I assume it didn't come with the doll.
>>7703966Literally all fashion dolls of anime franchises and anything by Azone that's smaller than 1/4. Korea has Liccaclones and Ddung. China has Kurhn.
Looks like Disney is capitalizing on the Chinese doll market. Neat.
>>7703614>Anyway, overall her body is so much nicer looking than licca;I hope we get a Reiwa new Licca eventually, with a torso that isn't just a disproportionate, weird knockoff of TNT Barbie. At the very least, I wish Licca Castle would offer an optional body upgrade. They've already sold Obitsus on their site.
>>7703820>Developed by Monster High creator Garrett Sander as his final project for Mattel. A highly articulated, muscular body that has never been reused so far. They recently reused the body for Starburst She-Ra, a 2019 Power-Con exclusive.I’m going to chime in with my own thoughts. I appreciate your in-depth review but I think you’re being a little too harsh on the playline She-Ra dolls; I think they’re decent for the price point. And as someone who thinks that the designs in the show are too androgynous the dolls are an improvement; they’re feminine and actually have curves. Really the only major flaw with She-Ra is her stock hair; I hate the texture so much I’m getting her rerooted with saran.Of the two dolls I have I prefer Glimmer because of her better quality hair and cuter face. She’s the one that got the most complaints, but honestly I think she’s adorable. Her body type is so much better as a doll, she’s thick but not a fridge. The one thing I don’t like is her magic blast accessory, it’s kind of lame considering the other dolls have actual physical weapons. They can both stand on their own due to the chunky boots and flat feet, which is really nice because there’s no stands. Also She-Ra towers over the other girls as you can see in the pic.Catra is probably the most accurate doll in the line so I hope you can find her, anon!
>>7704023Disney Kurhn dolls have been around for ages. I saw them at Disney World's Epcot park in the China pavilion store back in 2015.
>>7703855>>7703859Ugh.. go away
>>7704076Fuck you, this anon is actually cool and tells it as is. You can leave instead.
>>7703855buy bad dragon teenie weenies
>>7704094You get laid, virgin.
>>7703836because it's a guy it doesn't get the panty mold treatment?
>>7703855What's with the holes on the thighs?
>>7703614>>7703621Cute>>7703788You're making the right choice.
>>7703817Doing good. It's been a fun month for finding new dolls!>>7703820Wish they would sell this in stores or at least on amazon.
>>7703824>...And this is Nu-Ra.
>>7703848>Time for your favorite part of the review; the lewd pics. You're doing the lords work, anon. Wish all threads had this kind of content. Imagine...
>>7704110I can only assume is something that comes from the mold, poor job I have to say.
>>7704110>What's with the holes on the thighs?different anon, but Mattel molds their doll limbs much cheaper now, they're hollow and they weren't always like that; it's yet more corner-cutting.
>>7704301Faggot? Kek, Says the guy in a Barbie thread
>>7704333>guy>implying Also did you not get the memo ? >>7682851 Nice trips tho.
>>7703830>How does Mattel expect a little girl to remove Nu-Ra’s crown I actually prefer it this way. There's a greater chance of finding a doll with her crown at thrift stores if the little brats have a hard time taking the darn thing off.
>>7704432Brushing the hair would be a bit troublesome if you can't take off the crown.
Read that these LOL Surprise! O.M.G. fashion dolls had a two month back order waiting period on amazon. Local Target just got a bunch of them, and since these threads have been making such a big deal about them since before June I 'bought the blonde one. She reminds me of mid 2000s Britney Spears when she married that back up dancing and let her white trash flag fly high.
I wonder if MGAE will pump out deluxe versions of the $55 Poopsie Girlz if they sell well. If they went up to $100, and gave them animetic-like eyes and a jointed body, they could put Resin Soul out of business.
>>7704454>I wonder if MGAE will pump out deluxe versions of the $55 Poopsie Girlz if they sell well.Every review I've seen always brings up the fact that for $55 they should have at least come with elbow, and wrist articulation. They also don't have the 'glass' eyes, and rooted eyelashes that the Unicorns dolls have. Finally spotted four boxes of them at Walmart this week, and they were $49.99 each. I wanted the one with the pink hair but they are blind box dolls so no way to know for sure. I grabbed the box with the white doll on the box vs the one with the brown dolls on the box, and crossed my fingers. I am aware I should be kicked in head for buying blind box cancer, but had a gift card and I was board beyond words that day.
>>7704553I had a 50/50 chance of getting the one I wanted, and lucked out. I got the one with the pink hair. Shes called Pixie Rose, and she is a cute. I think what I love most about her is that she has really soft hair. Shockingly her head is kinda squishy if you press down on. I guess this means the other white doll I left behind on the shelf is the rainbow haired doll with tattoos. Would have gladly traded the slime for more articulation. Haven't even tried the slime packs yet, and don't think I will.
>>7704257Thanks>>7704024SameI hope for something in the lines of the new Haruto-kun, just with less limited articulation. >>7704012>Korea has LiccaclonesIt's Jenny copycat, they're called Mimi. >>7703980What store is that?>>7704299>newfag wojakposter is the only one who likes the lewd postingLike pottery >>7704454>they could put Resin Soul out of business.Let's not go too far. After all they will still be made of plastic and not resin.>>7704569>Shockingly her head is kinda squishy if you press down onThat's how it usually should be and have been for long until cheapskate Mattel decided to use glue for the hair.
>>7704569You can find out which doll you're getting if you shine your flash into the top of the box under the handle and see which hair colour you're getting.
>>7704645Thanks for the tip. A Youtube video said to do this, but they forgot to say anything about bringing a flashlight. The tip worked pretty well on the Unicorn doll boxes, and I was able to see it's pink hair. The Poopsie Rainbow Girl boxes are way slimmer and didn't open up as much to see anything. At least not without a flashlight. Ended up breaking a nail, and when I pulled my fingers out of the top of the box my finger was bleeding. No I don't have sausage finger, My fingers have always been very thin.
>>7703985Nice, how are they? Does Licca clothes and shoes fit?I'm considering getting one for my Azone.
>>7704099Literally doing a >no u! Congrats on being one of the many reasons this thread is garbage and a laughing stock now.
>>7705083>this thread is garbageThread have actually been mostly good and comfy until now, not to jinx it. Yes some degenerate poltard posted, but most of it was worthwhile content despite being borderline blogposting (the review could be shorter).
>>7704454>shitting banana unicornI want one
>>7703525It really does and I'm kind of into that. Really the Vader one is the only one that I like. R2 is just to costumy and Leia's outfit is basically the same as the real deal.
>>7705083>Congrats on being one of the many reasons this thread is garbage and a laughing stock now.To be fair this thread was always a laughingstock because most of the people on this board collect boy toys.I never understood that, why is it considered more pathetic to collect girls toys? they’re all for children.
Do curvy fashionista clothes fit Fiona? Can someone test it?
Are there any Kelly sized baby ogre dolls? I want my smol animator dolls to have an ogre friend.
>>7705402Fak. Are there any other fat dolls out there? I'd rather not have to make custom stuff for my ogress.
Are there any good small fashion dolls besides fashion pollies? I'm dying to use re-ment sets with dolls but they're too small for most of them.
>>7705502There's Capsule Chix, Obitsu 11cm and Azone Picco neemo.
>>7705808Old news. Capt. Marvel dolls have been on clearance for over a month at Wal-Mart. Target clearanced the CM Legends figs and Marvel dolls a month ago too. A couple weeks ago they clearanced the CM dolls at all my local Target stores.
Someone post pics of Captain Marvel and those Star Wars dolls looking like sad homeless hookers.
>>7705915Is interesting to note how even the capt. marvel dolls have a bigger smile than the actress.
>>7705378I have that Fiona doll, but I don't own any fat dolls. Actually scratch that I did buy one. She was $2 at Walmart and I like her face, and cowgirl hat so I bought her. I keep my Fiona on display, but the fat fashionista is in a box somewhere. >>7705087>Yes some degenerate poltard postedLies. There are no /pol/ posts in this thread. Quote one post that vaguely resembles a /pol/ post. You can't.
>>7706054apparently you are a poltard if you have negative opinions on the nuShe-Ra's show direction.
>>7705185>why is it considered more pathetic to collect girls toys? they’re all for children.Well I guess there's the fact that most of the people who post here are male. Than there's the whole toy collecting hobby being more of a guy thing. Girls mature faster than guys, and they are in such a rush to grow up that they turn their backs on their childhood heros like Barbie in exchange for boys, makeup, and social statues. It's why when you think of a comic book nerd or a Star wars fan the first image the pops up in your mind is of a nerdy looking guy, and not a girl. I've run into a few female store managers, and cashiers who went on rants about woman who come into "their store" to buy dolls for themselves. They seem so disgusted, and disturbed by it. They spoke as if they believed that female collectors are a perversion and are mentally ill or a threat to society, and shouldn't be allowed to exist. Both times they had no clue that I myself was a doll collector, and I wasn't about to tell them during their hateful rant. One that I can remember was an Irish lady at Toys R Us in her 30s. The other was a Cuban lady at the Goodwill in her 40s and was a single mom. It was a trip to listen to them let out so much pure hate.
>>7705185Because there is a high chance that you're a perverted creep.
>>7706056>if you have negative opinions on the nuShe-Ra's showIs that what this >>7705087 anon meant by "poltard" ? So you can't like a shitty cash grab remake show, and the ugly dolls based on it's CalArt looking toons or you get labeled as a problematic "poltard" now? Good to know.
>>7706054>>7706056>>7706172No you speedreader idiots, I meant this >>7703853
>>7706172Then is confirmed, someone complains about agenda driven changes and cash grabs then they are poltards for not liking feminism and that stuff.
>>7706301What did he say that was pol related tho?
>>7706345Read the last sentence you lazy speedreader
>>7706358Again what did he say that was pol related ?Was it that he put parentheses around the word (((they))) ? Is that what bugged you?
Is it common or normal for doll companies to give teenage dolls butt dimples? I just spotted two of them on one of my new MGA dolls.
>>7706371I am not familiar with that.
>>7706358Shera is killing netflix
>>7706393Just thought I'd ask. It's not that I go around looking for these things, but while I was adjusting The skirt on my new MGA doll I noticed that the doll had two cute dimples molded on her butt. First time I've ever seen that kinda detail on a dolls butt before, but there they were.
>>7706485It may be a "factory mistake" that may turn out to look like that.
>>7706089>Than there's the whole toy collecting hobby being more of a guy thing. You’re mostly right, but the doll communities I’ve been in were always mostly female, and before FiM the My Little Pony fandom was also majority women. I wish we could have MLP threads here again for the people that focus on the toys.
>>7706491>It may be a "factory mistake"On both dolls?
>>7706516Depends on the mold I would guess, but maybe it was intentional, I am not familiar with the whole process.
>>7706518The MGA dolls are quite big, and both the Pink hair, and Rainbow hair versions have them so I doubt it's a mistake. They are where butt dimples are usually located at, they are curved inward, and deep enough to be noticeable. Just never noticed any other doll in my collection having butt dimples before, and I own a lot of dolls.
>>7706550Guess is time to look for dimples at the bazaar next time.
>>7706360That's poltard term you idiot.>>7706405I don't like Nu-Ra you illiterate moron.
>>7706340Neat, did they have click knees? Though I highly doubt it.
>>7706557I don't really know why, but I really enjoy random body details like that on dolls. It's very rare but every now and then I'll buy a doll, and find that she has a molded on collar bone.
>>7706569Is this one a big sized Rapunzel? I wanted a Disney Store with full articulations but only got an Ariel whose hips are completely loose, also the roots on the hair are a mess, I don't understand how a lot of doll's hair seems to be added manually instead of by a machine, Descendants usually have it very well aligned sans the splits which are always a bit messy, Barbie seems to usually have the most uniform rooting.
>>7706576>Is this one a big sized Rapunzel?Yes she is. Shes the only big Disney princess doll that I own. I was going to ad Ariel to my collection, but her doll was a let down.
>>7706576>>7706587>I wanted a Disney Store with full articulations but only got an Ariel whose hips are completely loose. The Disney Store only released the classic dolls with full articulation back in 2012, and their boxes would brag about them having extra articulation. I sometimes find them while thrifting and the legs are usually very lose unless you find a doll that hasn't been played with much.
>>7706587I would be quite lucky if I find that big Rapunzel, rerooting her would be quite the nightmare tho.>>7706591I don't get why full articulations aren't the standard.
>>7706597>I don't get why full articulations aren't the standard. I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that they still have rubber click knees. I should warn you that while the 2012 dolls have wrist, elbow, knee, and ankle joints they were also bowlegged. This video goes into how you can fix it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uS5efs1Zrc
>>7706603Thanks, I just wish I could find a non-destructive way of fixing hips.
>>7706550Just a heads up. The arm tattoos will come off if you leave the jacket on for longer than a day. So don't leave the jacket on her unless you wanna lose her arm tattoos.
>>7706654I heard about that on thedollscircle's review. I wonder if using some baby powder could fix that.I'm getting the pink one already open from a FB seller but I'm planning to get the Rainbow one if I like her
>>7706587Is it true that some people use the big dolls for sex?
>>7707141I would... well, at least to sleep with her, hard plastic is not exactly optimal for something that doesn't involve just rubbing her body.
>>7707164It might be possible to carve a hole in her crotch and put a onahole there. Chopping off the boobs/butt and replacing them with softer material might be possible too.
>>7707215That would take away the appeal of the doll, also, the onahole thing requires a softer body.
>>7705637What about Licca's little siblings?
How do seamless bodies look with Barbie heads?
>>7707318nevermind, fuck these things.
>>7707321Holy fucking shit
>>7707056 I got the pink one because I love dolls with pale skin, and pink hair. The pink dolls face, and makeup is ultra cute, but her outfit is kinda simple compared to the rainbow dolls outfit. I noticed a legal disclaimer printed on her Farta bottle that reads "Pardoy. Not affiliated with brand owner" , which the unicorn dolls also have. The rainbow doll bottle doesn't have a disclaimer because her bottle isn't a parody of any existing product. I think it may have something to do with her being the leader or main girl of the group. All the commercials feather the rainbow doll more than the other three girls. The brown dolls don't even get their names mentioned in this ad which is kinda odd since it would have only made the commercial 2 seconds longer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYd9NmLL948This may have had something to do with me going back a few days later for the rainbow hair doll. Also she looked so nice in all of the YouTube review videos I've seen of her . Every time they would open the black box she looked amazing, and she is stunning in person. Both are more display dolls than play dolls since their plastic outfits limit the little articulation they have. If you buy them in person, and wanna save $5 try Walmart first. They are $54.99 at Target, but $49.89 at Walmart.
>>7707137Not sure it will show up on camera since they are just two round undulations at the top of each butt cheek, but if I'm able to capture them I'll share.
>>7707141I'm pretty sure you can use most anything as a sex toy. You could use corn starch and baby carrots as sex toys if you wanted. Using a doll with a hard plastic body as a sex doll is not very practical. They have soft silicon dolls for that kinda stuff. Not that I would personally recommend it.
>>7707255Ok, those two are too cute!
>>7707321Hey, a Kaitlyn Jenner doll!
>>7707797now show the breasts
>>7706587>fantasy pinsdisney traitor
>>7706587you're a braver man than i
>>7708053What's a fantasy pin?>>7707845It's a phicen doll. It seems they always look fucked up.
>>7707816Ya, Licca babies are pretty great.
>>7708108>What's a fantasy pin?I'm not quite sure myself, but if I had to take a guess I think he was referring to unofficial fan made Disney pins. They are usually pretty awesome because anything is possible, but the mouse doesn't see a dime.
Which doll does this head come from? It has great hair.
>>7708060Used to get triggered when a cable men or woman had to come into the house to access the box. It's always kinda funny to see them working around the dolls while pretending they don't see anything, and everything is normal. One cable girl in her early 20s knocked the hand off of a bigger doll that I have sitting on a chair with her head as she stood up and she started crying out "Sorry.. sorry I'm so sorry. I'm sorry" As if I wasn't going to let her leave the house or something. She didn't damage the doll so it was no big. I jokingly let her know that I was angry with her (which I was) because she was the same cable girl working on some wires outside of my house when my cable went out two weeks ago. I offered her some water which she accepted and left after working for about an hour.
>>7708161Are you a big burly man?
>>7708181Not that I'm aware of.
>>7708108Fantasy pins are the nice word that people who make illegal Disney pins came up with so they didn't have to call them "illegal Disney pins"I mean I buy them, and other unofficial pins too, I just find it funny that they call them "fantasy pins" as a means of softening it up.
>>7708146It's a 2012 to 2015 Disney Store Ariel classic doll head mold. The demonic feminists currently in control of nu-Disney toned down the face makeup, changed the leg molds to be less curvy and replaced them with stick figures legs and gave all classic dolls flat feet in 2015 in an attempt to desexualize the problematic princess classic doll line. You can still buy a new Ariel doll with this face mold at Jcpenney as they never switched to the new face mold.
>>7708266Sorry meant to say it's a post 2012 to 2015 Ariel face mold.

>>7708237What makes them illegal?
>>7708495They're not licensed through Disney.
>>7708618Don't they just count as handcrafted?
>>7708161>And you didn't skin her alive? things that didn't happen
Does anyone know what doll this is?
>>7708237>people who make illegal Disney pins came up with so they didn't have to call them "illegal Disney pins">>7708618>They're not licensed through Disney.>Shilling for our Overlord Emperor Mouse this hardRobert Allen Iger (/ˈaJɡər/ would be proud of you, anon.
>>7709142>>7709148She looks like a feminist pixie with demonic horns.
>>7708626>Don't they just count as handcrafted? You can't use someone's copyrighted material to make products to sell, handcrafted or otherwise. Though "made en masse in Chinese factories" is not what I'd call handcrafted. It's just that Disney typically doesn't crack down on them because it's bad for publicity and usually not worth the effort. Like princess companies and people who make Mickey Ears and Disney bows. Now they just have their design teams use social media and lift fantasy pin and indie maker designs, just like they did with the bows.
>>7709334>Disney typically doesn't crack down on them because it's bad for publicity and usually not worth the effort.Yeah, seeing that Disney just denied a little childs last wish to have spider man on his tombstone claiming that they don't want their beloved characters associated with death, I'm going to go with they don't think it's very cost effective to go after them. When in doubt always follow the money. Most people just put the Disney characters on the graves of their dead children, and Disney lets it slide, but I guess this coward of a dad was so scared of getting sued by Disney that he made the mistake of actually asking Disney's permission, and as they say It's Better to Beg for Forgiveness than to Ask for Permission.
Early first look at the new Masquerade doll collection coming at the end of the Year.Dolls line up includes:Cinderella Esmeralda BelleMegRapunzelTiana Giselle Aurora No worries tho. These dolls are officially licensed through Disney, so when you buy your $140 doll you can rest assured that all of your money is going directly to Disney as it should, and that's a good thing.
>>7709223What the hell is that supposed to mean
>>7709415That's gorgeous. We'll see how well it translates to the dolls, though. D23 is next week right?
>>7709434What do you mean? Look at the black, and white image.. >>7709148 It has demonic horns. Horns on human characters are for the most part associated with malevolent creatures. It has pointy elf or pixie ears, so it's either an elf or a pixie.
>>7709415>EsmeraldaOh hell yeah
>>7709415are... are we finally getting dresses that aren't made with that heavy ass material? Dare i dream?
>>7709415weird how they want to sell merchandise of esmerelda.
>>7709462I just want to know the name of the original doll. Thank you though
>>7709483She's a fan favorite. Same with Meg. They're testing the waters to see how well their merchandise sells so they can consider including them in future lines. Especially now that they will be slowly rebranding Disney Princess to Disney Heroine so they can include pretty much any female character they want to sell.Truthfully I'm surprised they didn't release Hocus Pocus dolls at D23 this year. They've been making a ton of merch with the cartoonified versions of the Sanderson sisters in order to avoid paying royalties, so I thought they'd pull it out this year. Oh well.
>>7709510is that an actually thing? i knew there was rumor about that, but are they actually rebranding the line.
>>7709513Seems so: https://touringplans.com/blog/2019/07/28/the-end-of-the-disney-princess/
>>7709447>D23 is next week right?D23 will be held on August 23–25, 2019 >>7709415The only doll I've never been able to find or buy new is Meg. I even have a Hercules doll, but not Meg. If I get any or them I guess it would be her.>>7709447>We'll see how well it translates to the dollsI hope Esmeralda translates well. Her dress has so much going on that it could spell for disaster. She could end up looking like a carnival freak if they go over board. >>7709483>>7709479Both my Disney Store and Mattel Esmeralda dolls are second hand. Here's hopping they don't mess her up.
>>7709510>I'm surprised they didn't release Hocus Pocus dolls at D23 this year. It hurts knowing we'll never get Hocus Pocus dolls. If they wont release them now that the movie is at the height of their nostalgic peak, we'll never get them. Went to the Disney Store and saw a $60 purse with cartoon versions of them,a journal, and these small plush. I don't collect these little plush things but I got them anyways because at least it's something. >>7709415Didn't grow up with Giselle and I'm still kinda mad that they recast Reese Witherspoon with Amy Addams at the last minute. I have enough new in box and used Giselle dolls. I live for Rapunzel dolls, but we'll see how she turns out. I already have a Rapunzel Designer doll.
>>7709415They all look gorgeous! I hope I get at least one this time around.
>>7709415Oh. Oh yes. I love me some rare princesses. It's been 20 years since we've had a Meg or Esmeralda doll, and I don't know when they last made a Giselle doll. Now if only they gave international Disney properties some love...>>7708618What's the point of collecting them...?>>7709148Must be a custom.
>>7709553Did you get the funko pops?
>>7708146>dat skintone mismatch>dose man hands>dat seamless meme bodyNo sir. No sir, I don't like it.
>>7709764>What's the point of collecting them...?People like how they look? Same reason you collect anything. For me, the designs are more interesting, the quality is 10000 better than official pins, and they are bigger.
>>7708266>The demonic feminists currently in control of nu-Disney toned down the face makeup>toned down makeup>the lips got more redYou're not too bright are you? They just made the face more accurate to the cartoon design.>>7709482Don't get your hopes up. The artwork always looks better than the dolls turn out. See pic related.
>>7709927>blue eyed bellewat
>>7709415Do we know what scale they'll be?
>>7709774I don't collect funko pops, but I made an exception for Hocus Pocus. I also collected all 9 key chains, and a large Winnie plush. There are two new funko sets this year, and some pens. The only actual "doll" is an ugly looking 12" light up Billy Butcherson animated side stepper, but it's priced at $30, and I don't care for it much.
>>7709714>I hope I get at least one this time around.I know this feel. I wasn't counting on price going up from $80 to $110 last year, and that messed me up last year. I ended up not getting any at all which was a bummer.
>>7709927>more accurate to the cartoon design.By changing Elsa's ice crystal high heals from the movie to ugly looking flats with flat feet? Oh, yeah, so much more movie accurate, and totally not trying to desexualize them.
>>7710000This makes absolutely no sense.
Is there any way I can fill these and make a decent reroot?
>>7710000Did the old feet fit in Barbie shoes? There's no way the new feet fit in 99% of doll shoes.
How do you stop your dolls from molding?
>>7710163Don't be a fucking idiot that stores them in moisture trapping storage
>>7710175What's good storage?
>>7710180Something where air circulates.
>>7709415I hate how Rapunzel looks like her normal old self. This is a designer doll. They could have used her extra long hair to make some big elaborate whacked out hairdo.
>>7710163Oh god, please clean them. Please don't just throw them out. And put them wrapped in tissue in a non-sealed box when you're done! They'll be good as new.
>>7710093>>7710056Pre 2013 they all used to have pointed toe feet, and high heals. Than out of nowhere they replaced the high heal with flats for "reasons". Yes, they put flat shoes on dolls that had pointed toes. Every year reviews on shopdisney would ask them to please change the ugly flat shoes back to the high heals. In 2017 Disney Store replied to years of complaints by remolding all of the princesses feet, and gave them ugly flat feet to go with the ugly flat shoes. They also reduced some of the leg curves and made the legs look more like shapeless rubber sticks. Literally would have been easier, and more cost effective for Disney to just go back to using the high heals instead of creating new leg, and feet molds but their goal was to gradually desexualize the Disney princess line, and slowly re-brand it to Disney Heroines in in an attempt to not only including a few new characters, but to give them a more proactive and less feminine aesthetic. I was on to what they were doing from day one, and knew what their end game was since 2015, but every time I would say something in these threads some anon would pop up and say that I was exaggerating, and that the changes were just a pure coincidence, and that Disney would never be retarded enough to kill off their Princess line. I hate being right since in means the end of the Disney Princess line as we know it.
>>7710331there wasn't any sexual about the feet, that was your own thoughts.
>>7710342You know why high heels exist?
>>7710000Those original shoes were so beautiful. I now wish I had bought a set of those dolls, but they came out shortly after I had bought the 10-pack princess set, and all the princes to go with them. I was completely tapped out.>>7710058The blown out holes? For scalp tears and giant holes, I tie individual hair plugs to a seed bead instead of chaining them. That way, they stay in place, and if one plug fails, it doesn't take out the whole chain. I don't sell my reroots, or tear at the hair, so it works for me.
>>7710356More like some big chains and big holes, that head is just a mess with the rooting, I want to put the splitting in the right place since Ariel is supposed to have her hair part from the left side and I would also like to just add hair in a more even manner instead of just using all those extra holes around the center.
>>7710331It's not necessarily a bad thing if it means we get dolls of girls who aren't princesses.
>>7710364You could boil the head to shrink the holes then just reroot with your own pattern
>>7710412Wouldn't that reduce the head?
>>7710163Reminds me of that Creepshow movie with the mold growing everywhere.
>>7710416How.... On EARTH would that shrink the head?! Boiling the head just returns the head vinyl back to how it came out of the mold due to its memory.
>>7710459Better safe than sorry, so I put her in boiling water for a few minutes?
FYI to anyone waiting on a Quidditch Draco: They're being marked down to $5 in store at Wal-Mart. I picked up an extra to re-body my Haruto-kun.
>>7704454These are somewhat expensive but surprisingly well-made. I have most of the first wave. Definitely need the animals at least.
>>7710557What about the other HP dolls?
>>7710664None that I saw.
>>7710163Are you asking how to reverse the damage on the dolls in this image or how to prevent it?To prevent make sure they are 100% dry before storing them away. Don't store them in places with high humidity. Humidity not only messes with the plastic but it will also help discolor a dolls hair, and help it turn to dust.
How the heck are people rerooting with yarn? is there a certain yard I should be getting besides generic yarn? I can't get the yarn to fit through any needle small enough to puncture the Barbie's hair plugs. It keeps fraying. I'm dumb, help.
>>7710816Maybe you can force it through with a reroot tool?
>>7710816the only rerooting method I know of with yarn involves unraveling it
>>7710825I was trying to follow this one, which seems to keep it intact, but I have no idea how they got it through the needle, much less the hole: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOiVmRgxmqg>>7710819maybe!
>>7710645I haven't bought any yet, but they have a truly pleasing look. I hope MGA will focus on making pleasant-looking products first and foremost. IMO if they keep it up, they could create something as big as Bratz was.
>>7710898The only negative thing about them is that they're preloaded with a powder that catalyzes the slime (or something?) and it can't really be fully cleaned out. Maybe after several rinses.
>>7710915Thanks for the heads up, that is unfortunate. I noticed that the LOL clothes that came packaged in slime cups had some light color bleeding to the white parts. No telling how any of this stuff will be impacted long-term. I never use any of the messy gimmicks, so I would literally never have known they were packed with a goop powder that could emulsify on a humid day and leak all over my doll cabinet.
>>7710816You use a big needle amd only reroot every other hole in the head cuz of how thick the yarn is.
>>7710331If you genuinely believe this please get actual therapy and meds. I cannot believe I share a board with people like this, damn.
quick question; anyone here own any of the dolls they made for the Incredibles 2 toyline?
>>7710423Is that Joe Hill?
>>7710874You could try a needle threading tool and a large eyed yarn needle? I dunno, I'm dumb too man
>>7702192>that sneaky corner Hans
>>7710986Np. I only found out after I removed the pacifier from my fish to fix a small paint flaw and she fell over. The goop is not appealing to me. I remember ruining carpet with Nickelodeon slime when I was a kid. Anyway, they're still worth picking up if you dump them out!
>>7710874If all else fails look into yarn wigs
>>7702173Any customizers lurk here who do reroot commissions? The person who I was going to commission had to bow out due to health issues, so I’m looking around for someone else who’d be willing to.
>>7711614I would but I live in Mexico.
>>7710898>IMO if they keep it up, they could create something as big as Bratz was.If they give up on that disgusting slime gimmick and go with even more furry/scalie-like MH line while keeping the rooted eyelashes and inset eyes, yeah I can defiantly see it. However, MGA decided to that with LOL OMG incantation...maybe they will do this too despite that like how Mattel shortly had MH and EaH at the same time?
Why are there so few yiffbait dolls? It's not like it's hard to design a pretty anthro animal.
It's heartbreaking to know we will never, ever have a Krystal doll
>>7711839I don't think normal little kids want to own/self-insert as anthros beyond Disney characters, at least it was that way for me. I just wanted either stuffed animals or human dolls, I never once wanted a mixture of the two. I think most furfags start their phase at middle/high school.Other than your pic I know of these: Groove made cat and rabbit fashion dolls under a line called Sasha. Hasbro made Peteena poodle. Sekiguchi/Petworks made Nikki cat. Club Chic made chibi beargirls. Lanard made Catwalk Kitties. Cityworld made Groovy Catz. But if you really want a decent anthro then there's some BJDs out there.
>>7711072Yes, I own them all.
>>7711072I own both Violet & Helen. What do you want to know?
>>7711839>>7711882There's some doll line which is in prototype stage called Wild Childz, most likely abandon for good which sucks. >>https://www.instagram.com/wildchildz/?hl=en >>7711072Yes I only own Violet.
>>7711983Is that an MH outfit on Helen? It looks familiar.
>>7711983>HelenI have the same outfit you put on your Helen doll!>>7712002No, it's one of those Sparkle Girlz outfits that was talked about earlier in the thread. >>7702233 I also have the outfit in the image I'm posting.
>>7712021I take it Walmart carries those?
>>7711038>I cannot believe I share a board with people like this>Anon provides proof to back up all of his claims>Herrr-derrr you makin it up... get help
>>7712002>>7712024Yes, It's a Sparkle Girls outfit. They're $2 at Wal-Mart. They're generally pretty good for what you pay for. You get a top, bottom, and either shoes or a purse. Just be aware that some tops are attached to the bottoms. Also, there's ALOT of kids ripping off the clothes from the cardback and stealing them.
>>7712034Delightful. Next time I go on a hunt for WHC, I'll have to take a look for those.
>>7712024Yes, and they are very affordable compared to what Mattel charges for their outfit packs. They usually keep them on a random shelf inside of these pink boxes.
>>7712048>They usually keep them on a random shelfYou could say that about their hole toy section.
>>7711984Holy cripes on toast. I get the Monster High pandering, but did they have to turn the Bratz foot fetishism up to eleven?
>>7711842I would genuinely love a Krystal doll and I'm not even close to being a furry. Never even played the games. She's just so pretty
>>7710163Stop cumming on them you degenerate.
