with actual missiles they don't carry a grenade inside them they have an explosive payload which depending on how the missile is made will explode on contact usually because the tip being hit will work as a trigger whereas a grenade is a handheld explosive that will explode after a few seconds after it is primed, in terms of design a grenade launcher is a much different thing, what you have made would be classified as as missile launcher or as a projectile launcher or it could also be called a missile pod, you should look into actual military hardware, but as a general name it should be call a projectile launcher or a projectile pod.

Not that anon but the term "rocket propelled grenade" it's solely due an anglo backronym from the early (and still going on iI think) russian designation of their rocket based light anti tank portable weapons.
Why the russians denominated it a "grenade"? probably because the warhead was close to anti tank grenades/projectiles of WWII so they stuck with it, but if anyone has some sources specifying otherwise it would be interesting to read

you can get similar results out of spray cans if you have different nozzles (most tend to have a basic spray pattern nozzle, but you can get ones that allow for a finer amount of control), also be sure to read up on paints/primers, as mixing different types can effect the bond to the surface as well as the finish

So permanently filled funbags got selected for since they gave horny ungas something to play with on the other side. All theories of course since we don't have comprehensive tit fossil records

They should have made MD vs FAG crossover movie instead of a recap.
>>
>>7698787

Don't like em. Plastic and fit feel far lousier than Koto and Bandai. Parts don't hold well by snap fit, you WILL NEED glue.

Figure articulation and range aren't as good as FAGirls and MDs. Maybe on par with Bandai's crappy Gundam girls.

They've been making a lot of add-on parts. But none of them sell out like Koto's.

A kit is also mostly just the girl and bare extra weps. Nothing like the full armored stuff you get from Koto or even Aoshima.

I made one, realized how much extra modding and glue it needed, and left it for a day I want to bother with all the hassle. I've built 4 Koto girls in the meantime.

Also write your will for when you get resin induced lung cancer within next month.
>>
>>7704199
>>7704341
Ehh, this is serious by the way, if you sand the resin or do anything that might introduce particles of it into the air, you need to get a properly rated particulate filter mask from your local hardware store. And I mean like a proper $20-30 one with replaceable filters, not those dinky paper surgical masks that do nothing. Be careful dude, resin dust can kill you dead.

I repeat: RESIN DUST CAN KILL YOU DEAD.
>>
>>7704698
Regular particulate filters like the 3M P100 pancakes are all you really need, right?
>>
>>7704908
You can go with the pancakes, but I tend to just buy 60921 Organic Vapors, since it includes the P100 layer but will also protect me while I spray my kits. If you don't paint, just go for the pancakes, they cost about half as much as the organic vapor.

Also be mindful that if it becomes hard to breathe or in the case of painting, if you can smell anything in the mask, it's time to replace those filters.

no point, you are already ded

jokes aside, if you dry sand resin, mask will not help you much unless you are prepared to always wear mask in that room or unless you are able to replace the air before the dust settles on the surfaces

tl;dr always wet sand
>>
>>7705331
would a HEPA filter + thorough surface cleaning help?
>>
>>7705511
>>
>>7705331

>>
>>7705569
*IN ADDITION to wet sanding and a mask
>>
>>7705589
Outside or your garage would be better; you do less breathing there in general and any stray particles are more likely to fuck off to somewhere you don't care about.

What's a good way to do paint the illusion of a translucent bodysuit?(not white, not brown)

Do I tint say, clear purple or clear blue on flesh color, or do I spray thin layers and gradients of regular purple/blue?

Example, like, you know the thin swimsuit look where there's some spots are hinting the skin color underneath?
>>
>>7705823

>>7698163
Mostly concerned about layering the matte spray, since I'd want to do that last on top of the colored pencil. I'll have to see if some of the little kits I have lying around are a similar plastic/finish to the MD I'm waiting for.

>>7705823
You're going to have to study how artists do similar. But when I was watching someone paint a garage kit, he fucking did the dermal layer of skin, a kinda splotchy variance of blood colors, before spraying the the base skin color. Then he sprayed the tan, after covering areas to create tanlines.
So you're probably going to want to follow a similar layering nonsense. Not that deep but do the skin underneath then spray layers of your translucent suit, thickening it where it's not stretched across the skin.

I don't know if you'd be able to get a translucent colored resin to paint/pour on. No idea if that would produce the effect you want at that scale.
>>
I really want to get into frame arms/md stuff, but I'm retarded when it comes to painting or decals. What would be a good kit to start with?

Something tells me I'm doing things wrong... my intention was to make a 2ft deep by 3ft wide by 2.5ft high hangar diorama with a sliding large interior crane for my Frame Arms Girl. But these modular panels (yes, modular) took nearly 12 hours to print... each on an Ender 3... my gut tells me something this large isn't suitable for 3D printing and I should be instead watching handicraft videos on youtube...

I'm pausing this large 3D print hangar project and will rethink my approach...

Anyone outside Japan get a muscuto shipping notice yet?
I'm seeing this latest pack of items trickling onto Japanese twitter, so I figure it won't be long.
>>
>>7711897
haven't gotten anything from them, seems they don't really care about their international buyers.
>>
>>7710772
that is friggin adorable, my heart can't take this...ungg....
>>
>>7711930
I wonder if the people he scammed a few years back got a chargeback.
>>
>>7711870
print one panel then make a mould of it and cast copies of it
>>
>>7711933
he scammed people? wtf? never heard about that, please tell me more
>>
>>7711930
>all this salt
I have not received a notice from this latest round yet, but 2 days ago he posted photos of the boxes being filled. Prior to that, I have ordered from him 3 times with no issues.
>>
>>7711933
>>7711942
I don't think scammed is really the best word, but hey its 4chan right?
I remember the discussions where a couple anons had mixed up orders, and I remember one anon saying he placed an order and never received it. That same anon also made it sound like they were too Beta to ask about it until 6 months had gone by, so really who knows?
>>
>>7711955
ok, not as bad as I had imagined, but still not happy to hear about this stuff happening
>>
>>7711961
Well to be fair, I think it was all back in 2016 or 2017. It seems like he's ironed out some kinks since then.
>>
>>7711964
alright, breathing normally again now
hopefully it's just a slow go with the shipping stuff
>>
>>7711942
From what I remember, there were a couple anons here that didn't receive their orders.
Muscuto kept ignoring e-mails sent to him about the issue and I think one guy got an emoji as a reply?
After a while Muscuto finally did contact "some" of the people that didn't get their orders and sent them some random shit instead of what they ordered. (Probably leftovers from past events)
But even then, there were still a few anons that never got anything.

calmness level: losing mind
this is not what I want to be hearing right now
>>
>>7711982
Well calm your tits. Just do a paypal chargeback if you're so scared.
>>
>>7711987
I'll wait and see, I just get worked up easily, imma go for a walk or something to chill out
>>
>>7711982
In the end, lesson is, if nothing happens in 30 days, just have paypal refund the money.
>>
>>7712003
>30 days
you get 180 days now.
>>
>>7712008
Well that's new.
But doesn't that also mean Muscuto can ignore you for 180 days?
>>
>>7712008
New guy here. That'd make me a lot more likely to (pre)order from him, then. After that alst issue, I'd definitely pull the plug before the refund time frame was up.

Sent muscuto a PM, and he said tracking would go out once all the packages have been delivered to the post office, and to please be patient.
>>

>But doesn't that also mean Muscuto can ignore you for 180 days?
No, it means that's how long you get to open a case. You can choose to escalate it before that 180 days has gone by.

She's the dev's waifu. Does the same っす style of talking as Yotsuyu. From my general impression, she's very laid back but also has a mischievous bend. She prefers doing multiple builds over doing one highly detailed build but seems to go back to them eventually.

I should know more about her but I get pretty lazy about going through everyone's stories.

>>7711870
You're asking the 3D printer to deal with your laziness essentially, as you're reaching the point where other fabrication methods are more efficient for what you want to do. For uniform shapes (the beams, those floors) you really should just buy stock plastic and make connecting brackets and details with the 3D printer. Hell, even regular ass paperboard from a craft store would go a long way for the solid parts of the panels. You layer it to produce the channels and give it rigidity.

Ok. Megamis tend to have long necks though, which looks a little weird.
>>
>>7707393
>>7712459
To do that specifically, you either need to find a megami neck to DTA head joint (probably someone makes them) or kitbash one yourself. Mine is a sylphy neck joint with the hole expanded to fit a megami neck base and the top part of the connection widened to get over the longer megami neck base, and a spare DTA neck joint trimmed and drilled to fit onto a 3mm post.
>>
>>7712459
Huh, that's pretty good. If anything, I'd need to slim/extend the jaw after adapting the neck.

>drillbit shoulders
Jesus. Have they still not fixed the joints?
>>
>>7712669
The joints are fine, I just got the brass shoulders because I like smooth motion and do quite a bit of posing.
>>
>>7712704
>smooth motion and do quite a bit of posing.
you sold me, how do I get these things?
>>
>>7712927
Last I heard you gotta get a middleman to buy them off Japanese Amazon for you. If anyone knows a better way though, that's be great.
>>
>>7712931
It's these, right? https://www.amazon.co.jp/ハイ-ハードネス-ヒューメラル-ヘッド-結構Hなジョイント/dp/B07T52JS1L

The seller got whatever they needed for export, you can order them direct now. I got their torso joints a few months ago.
>>
>>7712946
So, what's the process here? Can I register an account on Japanese Amazon with a US address, then simply order it like a standard Amazon order?
>>
>>7712953
As long as it's available for export you should be able to. There are limitations on certain goods, but they have no problem sending items to a foreign address in principle.

I give up on 3D printing this large hangar. I just got UBIQUITOUS... secured three with the other 2 to be delivered tomorrow... I'll also customize the lighting because I wanted the Sci-Fi diorama to have similar lighting to a disco...
>>
>>7713198
And yes... these Gachapon Gatling Guns are spring loaded and rotates and SHOOTS 1/12 SCALE BULLETS!!!

I have so much fun trying to execute GaoGaiGirl here... I think I need execute some Megami Device girls later today... :)
