So, Hasbro is bringing Zoids back worldwide. The first Zoids wave called Zoids:Build them to life will release in fall 2019 in Europe and in 2020 in America. Do you guys love Zoids? I love the original Hasbro releases.
>>7633889So basically a rebrand of Zoids Wilds>>7633949You mean based Takara
>>7633952>so basically a rebrand of Zoids WildYes,but called Zoids:Build them to life. If the series is successful then a live action film isn't out of question.
>>7633889>Do you guys love Zoids?Yeah, the Kotobukiya and old school Tomy models
>>7633957>live action film
>>7633889Takara Tomy pulled the plug on Zoids Wild too soon
>>7634392Not even close. The next series will be this July 27. And we'll expect more new characters outside of the returning ones from Team Freedom (yes, even Drake, who joins for good in the finale).
>>7634392It wasn't their choice, the station that aired it and helped sponsor it reclaimed several time slots (Beyblade Bursts a few monghs ago, Shinkalion recently) for sports programs in the run up to the olympics
>>7633889Finally. I was starting to consider just importing some wild kits because I was impatient. I'm building giga gojulas now and having a blast. Anyone recommend a good Wild kit to pick up when they release?
Zoids was never good, never saw the appeal to it.
>>7634483I haven't heard anything about a new show coming soon. Have a link?
>>7633889Nice, I hope these are readily available in the UK. I love how Zoids look and as a modelfag it'd be really neat to have affordable mecha kits available at retail.
>>7635650>comes first in Europe then in 2020 in AmericaWhat do you think?
>>7635666>UK>EuropeTimes are a-changing, Satan.
>>7635669>>7635666Technically TakaraTomy exported it to the Chinese-speaking areas first (CN/HK/TW) at the start of 2019 so...
KOTOBUKIYA RELEASE RAYNOS YOU COWARDSCOMPLETE THE BLITZ TEAM
>>7635697You need proof for these things? It's the typical routine they do with anime-tie-ins these days, have it dubbed and brought over to Chinese+Korean regions in about a year.https://youtu.be/kOohXjeT1pM
Post your Zoids /toy/. Favorite or collection
>>7635914I would love a new Deathsaurer.
>>7634513Beyblade Burst is on another net. It got demoted to ONA status because Takara Tomy wanted to push Bakugan. Beyblade Burst is in its fourth year, which usually means death soon.
>>7635697There's already an English dub: https://www.dailymotion.com/playlist/x6c9vh
>>7635646Not quite, but I did kinda saw it in the CoroCoro YouTube channel.
>>7636580Huh. I started seeing the kits here in Singapore a few months ago but didn't realized they did a dub for it.
SDCC is this week, wonder how they changed the boxes designs for EU and US release of Zoids
Kotobukiya death saurer when? WHEN?
>>7636780It started airing on one of the MediaCorp channels in May.
reissue this cat, damn koto
How many days until sdcc?
>>7633889I love Zoids, but I hate the concept of riding them instead of piloting them
>>7642939The new turtle zoid can have the pilot riding inside the zoid. You only see the pilot when the canon is flipped out.
>>7633889>So, Hasbro is bringing Zoids back worldwide.got a link, not calling you a liar or anything, I just need some hard evidence
>>7642981Like a year ago it was on one of Hasbro's company... plans... slideshow... thing.
>>7643092>Like a year ago it was on one of Hasbro's company... plans... slideshow... thing.anything more recent than that?
>>7642981>>7643124Based, we already had another retard making a thread about so called Mattel bankruptcy. >>7643092>Hastrads cannot be trusted How come I'm not surprised
To hell with Ligers, where my wolf pack?!
>>7643387Based beyond all basehood.
>>7643387I hear you, senpai, I really do, but have you considered... the Gordos?MY NAME IS STEG-O-SAURUSI'M A FUNNY LOOKING DINOSAURFOR ON MY BACK ARE MANY BONY PL8SAND ON MY TAIL THERE'S MORE!
I would genuinely kill a man in cold blood for this liger.
>>7643666I wanted a Gordos too at some point then I realized something. It would likely be hard to recreate and require more artistic liberties then other. Maybe better it stays the way it is.The thing is entirely pistons and support struts with a big torso. It's hard to tell from just the model at first glance but closer inspection reveals most of the tail is just negative space that would be removed. It's a structural nightmare for the HMM design team is my bet.And the show does not help either. I just feel like that for how much an HMM gordos would cost due to its size, I would just be dissappointed in final result.
what de fuck is a zoid bruh
>>7633889Damn it now I went and bought myself a Storch because of this thread!
>>7646488man I would love to see an HMM storch, but the thing probably will never come about.
>>7633889Give me Koeing Wolf and Shadow Fox at a good price without the windup shit and I'll be golden
>>7635686I saw one of these in canada but ended up buying the hasbro one they had because I thought theirs was bootleg
>>7638105If you're feeling impatient, I bought one of the KOs to compare to my real one and it was surprisingly similar quality-wise. I would say it's a decent choice.
>>7646694>without the windup shit
>>7648147Theres a KO dstyle liger??
>>7648148Pretty sure we all knew what he meant, same thing really in the long run for how it affects the model kit.>>7648147KOs and outright bootlegs of model kits are typically a better bet for quality then action figures. Might have to do with the fact the plastic material is easier to deal with, you got entire sprues being copied versus trying to copy an assembled figure, and perhaps the most important of all is as a model kit we will tolerate and fix the issues that do crop up. Say there is issues with the pegs, we just sand that stuff down, no biggie. Flash lines? Exacto knife it away. There will be some bigger issues now and then, but again they are fixable. The plastic tends to be a bit more brittle then usual, but we model builders are cutting the parts off the sprues so we have a better grasp of what tolerances the plastic material has and can adjust our handling more instinctively. In other words, don't be afraid by cheaper chinese versions of kits. Unless you want a kit with special stuff like say HMM kits with special characters. You don't get those dudes, only the generic pilots on sprues. So no Zeek, Van, Fiona for your blade liger Van ver.>>7648182Yeap, and same for the HMM, they did pretty much all of the Ligers and the Saber Tigers. Sadly havent found any knock off saurers. The D-style comes in different colors then normal so even if you got all the normal legit ones, you might want the KOs for even more colors.I found there are two made by STK(no idea) and two made by Dragon Momoka which I know is a fairly respected name in the Gunpla community as they even made completely unique gundam kits. Last I heard, they are dead
>>7648303>zoids without the wind up feature
I'm not optimistic that Zoids will stick this time either, but I hope they try anyway. >>7643792>Liger: 80's Edition
>>7648350Zoids is similar to beyblades in that its brought back out and remains popular for a time before fading back into nothing then starting over again, just with a longer reset period
Noble friends, might you PLEASE inform me of a reliable online shop for the purchasing of knock-off zoid kits?
>>7648835I just used ebay.
>>7648303Oh nice!i only have the dstyle saurers and have been looking for liger for awhile now
>>7648305The tiny ones still have it.
Don't know much about zoids. But there was a blue zoid for like 300 bucks that had a little white Dino I really wanted. Anyone know of the name of that little guy ? How to get one
>>7651204Blue Zoid was probably the Shield Liger, the little dino guy was Zeke(Sieg in the JP version), which was a little robot dude who could fuse with big Zoids to power them up. I'm not sure how much merch there is of him.
>>7651204little white dino? blue zoid?you must be referring to the HMM Blade Liger AB Bang version, or the Shield Liger Bang version. Both come with the Organoid Zeek and older /younger(respectively) sersions of Bang and Fiona.Other Zoids that came with Organoids included Geno Saurer and Geno Breaker Raven Versions which had a black Organoid, and Geno Saurur Psycho version which came with TWO organoids, a blue and red one. There is also the limited Hiltz edition of the already expensive Death STinger that came with the red organoid from the Psycho Saurur but it was a limited run of an already pricey(compared to other HMMs) kit.As for prices? the only way currently to get the liger cheap is the chinese knock off version, but there in lies a problem. You want that little white dino, sadly the chinese knock offs for as decent as they are, do NOT come with any special characters including the Organoids. We might be seeing some of those special versions of the kit get a rerelease within a year or two but who knows with Kotobukiya. So for now, just a waiting game to see if they get new retail releases and go for the more proper prices.
>>7651339>>7651204and here are the Geno Saurer variants with their organoids. If you are primarily interested in the 'little dino' of the liger, then these might interest you since the main Zoid itself is a dinosaur.
>>7651339That's it! I'm trying to get that little guy. If anyone wants to get rid of one please let me know :)Thanks anon
>>7651706Zeke had various merch made of him, you can see more here towards bottom of page. https://zoids.fandom.com/wiki/ZekeThis could help you potentially track down similar figures of him.So far the only other best potential bet for you is the unpainted figure of him that came with the Gustav. Same scale, so should be largely the same size as the HMM figure, but made of model kit plastic, unpainted, and not nearly as detailed, but still a decent substitute. There was a light gray version that came with the original style kits of the various Ligers but those might be harder to find since mostly only specific kits had the Zeke. There is currently a Gustav selling used on ebay for $35 plus shipping. The pictures show it still has Zeke. https://www.ebay.com/i/202551495885?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=202551495885&targetid=541453967892&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9007001&poi=&campaignid=1881504899&mkgroupid=66933536821&rlsatarget=aud-298628318826:pla-541453967892&abcId=1139336&merchantid=6296724&gclid=CjwKCAjwscDpBRBnEiwAnQ0HQFVxskb7lHxNKB20kshphsR0Frof1MMEE1XxS_pxnnGV1oE9s1mnehoCpFcQAvD_BwE
>>7651339So the one I pictured.. does it come painted and does it have any articulation? Or do they come from model kits.?
>>7657865Jesus is this the set ?
>>7633889Zoids wild is everything I don't want out of Zoids.
>>7657865the ones you want are prepainted, I simply gave you an ALTERNATIVE to those. Didn't you even read the wiki page I posted? it describes every type of figure they ever made of that specific character, full size, miniatures, gashapon, etc.ALL extraneous special character figures from the HMM zoids line are prepainted soft plastic. To further drive the point home >>7651339 Dalong.net (you can tell from the right corner) never paints anything he reviews, what you see in that picture is straight out of the box.But if you are willing to deal without the nicer version of him and unpainted (painting a monotone vehicle/robot is piss easy) then you could go with the MUCH cheaper alternative. Otherwise don't count on anyone giving you just Zeke if they have the kit.
