>>7619618Also be aware that there are two variants for Aphra.
>>7619618At first I was dying to snag 0-0-0 and BT-1... but once I saw them reviewed I meh'ed. I really wish we could get the Bandai model kit versions, but they were exclusive to Star Wars celebration. >>7619621Why did they make two variations? Seems silly
>>7619618>>Is the Stormtrooper the best hasbro have ever made?Judging by that Wal-Mart TVC Mimban Trooper I have, yes. So much that I ordered a few TVC #140 Stormtroopers online (international anon) and a bunch of other figures to customize. One day I'll even ship my Black Series AT-ST from BBTS...
>>7619621This isn't just 6" and 4" versions? The one on the right looks smaller.
>>7619860My problem is that droids both tend to be small and lack articulation. They really should have been a 2 pack, maybe at that $30 level they use sometimes
Looking forward to the 18 million individual boxes from Hasbro Pulse arriving on my doorstep this week.
>>7619621what's the difference?
>>7620426The hair is glued incorrectly on one of them. Leave it to Hasdrones to call it a variant.
>>7620297No. The guy brought two and discovered this.>>7620439>doesn't know what a variant is.
>>7619860Bluefin is selling them at any convention they are at. I picked up Triple-0 at megacon in florida .
>>7620491haven't finished him yet
>>7620489>shit QC means it's a variantYikes
>>7619621Looks more like the hair just got glued differently between them.
>>7620921It's a variant.
>>7620938Why exactly? By that logic any figure with discoloration in the box is a variant
>>7620942It is. If the paint difference is significant.
>>7620942You don't get it
Found the Archives Darth Maul today. Sort of funny how his cloaked head is attached to it, otherwise I'm liking him. Sure beats dropping $100 though.
>>7619618>>7619860Nig3PO looks great!
who the fuck is Aphra? can i get a cliffnotes version.i have the VC one. but that was an impulse "fresh restock, must be EU, probably wont see this at B&M again" buy, which i was correct on. fuck this swampy hell i live in
>>7620511This is a franchise where Boba Fett sold for 20 dollars more depending on if he had half circles painted on his gloves or a full circle.
>>7621693also now a franchise where the same few characters get made over and over, but somehow the poor sales are due to "liberals" a rather than a market flooded with decades of repeated merchandise. The only liberals at fault are Hasbro.>>7621615Some amoral technician that Darth Vader recruited to do shit for him. She was able to convince him not to strange her and proved useful enough not to kill. She programs assassin droids and generally only cares about herself and her survival, while not giving a fuck that Vader is an unlikeable killer with no redeeming qualities. What? That 2 minute light side conversion at the end counts? After the retcon that was the prequels, making him a whiny bitch and a child murderer, he probably didn't deserve even that. No see, Gul Dukat form Star Trek, that was a deep villain character. Vader is a backyard kiddie pool compared to the massive ocean that was Dukat. And the worst part? Vader's habit of killing Imperials probably did more to up rebel recruitment and treason than anything else. Why be loyal when you'll get choked? In Hindsight, SW has some really shitty writing and bad ideas brought about from little planning and prequel/EU filling in of shit to explain the dumb parts.
>>7620959so then almost every single Black series 83 Battle Droid is a variant? Because their blast marks vary greatly. Same with their eyes.
>>7621703>The only liberals at fault are HasbroFrom a technical stand point its Disney, Hasbro has been transparent they control most releases and even have shared they have very little control over anything made outside of the Black series which Disney only cares what they do with it when their is a film rolling out, everything else and the Hasbro reps make it sound like Disney has a full effect on what gets made.
>>7621703so an edgelord who castrated what dignity Darth had left? fucking great. i love this new writing where nobody is truly a bad guy and has some morality pet bullshit
Totally still getting Aphra but I think she is a bit tall when lined up with Vader. Over all she isn't bad though. I am going to wait for a price drop like I do with all BS figures. I loved her in the Vader comic but thought her stand alone series was just okay.>>7620299I totally agree with you. They are very small, (0-0-0 is somehow smaller than 4-LOM) and the paint looks so dull on both of them. They need to be shiny, like in the comics. Over all they both looked like a Let down. It's why I want to model kit so much it's tall and shiny.>>7620491Really? Nice to know. I assume 30 dollars?
Just got the TVC Crait Luke and Death Star Gunner.DS Gunner has a nice new body. I head swapped it to make an officer. So many things wrong with crait luke, the rubber cloak sucks and he can't stand well. I cut off the cloak and waist area to allow full articulation of the legs. Planning on adding some soft goods to improve the look.
Convince me NOT to buy a Phasma and Brienne of Tarth Action figure to headswap on, and instead cinvince me to just buy the Mafex Phasma thats full chrome
>>7622007What Phasma are you planning to buy?
>>7621891So Hasbro turned her from a 7/10 Chinese hooker... >>7620066to a XXXL Pinoy cosplayer.Bravo. Money saved
>>7621964i love these kickass dioramas you do. all the customs look great. are the signs and furnishings custom or are they pre-made?i assume the DS Gunner was an online purchase? i recently returned to swamp hell from the west coast and Wave 1 is still dominating the already puny Star Wars section at the Wal-Marts.
It's a long shot...but does anyone here collect vintage Star Wars trading cards?
I can tell you one reason SW collecting is such a bitch now- no one wants to pay anything for loose figures. I've tried to sell loose toys on eBay in lots, priced at $2-$3 in lots of 3-6, and no one buys. It's that fucking "watch an item but never buy it even though it's a super bargain" bullshit eBay users do. Yet they'll pay $15 each for the same figures carded. It's killing interest in owning them when they can't be sold for dick if you want to get rid of the things, making the line a huge money pit to get into to begin with, as it's a guaranteed massive loss if you lose interest.>BSTThey'd never move there either. I'd have to price 50 cents per to make those jackoffs even look at them and it'd still take 6 months to sell even half the stuff I have.
>>7622495and selling individual is even harder, because no one wants to spend $3.50 to ship a $2 toy. You can sell maybe 10% of your stuff that way. Offering combined shipping is talking to the wall, it's the same as small lots, no one wants to get a batch of figures, not even army builder characters.
>got a brand new POTF2 Death Star droid>arm snaps offI mean it was only like $3 but still sucks man
>go to Target >Maz Kanata, DJ, Han, Lando, Jyns in clearance that still haven't moved >Walmart >Hans, Landos, Q'iras, DJs, just in endless waves >same situation at another Walmart, with the occasional Tarkin >see an Archive Maul, leave it for another collector since I don't do much prequel, if at all >Gamestop ×2 >Dryden Vos and Holdo, the same ones for weeks >Greivous still readily available What happened? There's not even a drive for me to collect even random stormtrooper variations anymore, since they're never in stock or available. Last Black Series thing I bought was back at the beginning of the year with finishing up the bounty hunters. I dread even being able to find Chopper in the wild at this rate.
>>7621967>>7621964>>7621971Love your pics as always senpai, inspiring work. GLad the DS Gunner figure came our excellent, now I want one.
>>7622341Some are photoshopped/my own design while some are bought off a "cyberpunk/sci-fi art pack". I need to build more buildings, still a lot of work to be done.
>>7621964What wolf/dog is that in the far left?
>>7622495im in the minority, because i usually buy loose, seeing as i really dont care about packaging or a few nonessential missing accessories.i like that their cheaper, because in my mind, some ink and cardboard shouldnt drive up the price of something that was meant to be fucked about with.
>>7622495>>7622505Shoot me a list of what you're looking to sell loose, anon. I'll take a look at your wares.
When will we know the date/time of the Hasbro Star Wars SDCC panel?
>>7622630Someone in my Walmart hid two Yodas, Maul and a Scout behind some Legos. It's possible WM or Target got them in but they're hidden. Or you know distribution is continually shit. Hell I've never even seen a battle droid or Mace, the only ones I want from that wave. Might consider just buying a droid loose on eBay or something.
>>7622495>>7622505Are they good figures or are they terrible ones?>>7623029It's a Marauder Task Force K9, you can get them on their website.
Got my Tank Commander and Death Star Gunner in from Pulse today. Pretty sure I'll never see these in stores, so I'm glad Hasbro's site is coming through on these.Going by the next wave of figures, Vintage is in for a terrible time. More repacks of shit that nobody needs or wants (except Fett). I don't get Hasbro sometimes.
>>7621703>Vader is a backyard kiddie pool compared to the massive ocean that was DukatLul bullshit, nice b8 btw
>>7623245Whats the next vintage wave?
>>7622007>>7619860seeing the photographer in the reflections gives me new respect for the movie camera operators.
>>7621967awesome picture, thumbnail looks like peoplebackground out of focus but with just enough lines to create space and the right colors>>7621971>>7621964not as good, cluttered. Get the camera at their belt/chest height and it works better
>>7623245What fett is that?New sculpt/better articulation?Bec the old tvc fett is a piece of shit by today's standards. Clunky weird proportions with subpar articulation.
>>7621967the light behind the right face kills it for the eye, shop that out and see the improvement.
>>7623396Thanks for the feedbackI ideally wanna focus on the background more than just the figures - to show that they exist in a full world around them. I can make the shots look cleaner by cropping them to just the figures but its a waste of the good backdrop and background details.
>>76233902x Chewbacca2x R1 Stormtroopers2x R2D22x Boba Fett
>>7622087The Chrome mafex
>>7623412That R2 sucks, too. And the Chewie? They didn't try.
>>7623711>>7623711Apart from being dirty, why does he suck?
>>7623652No, I meant what was the alternative Phasma you were considering. I understood that you were considering getting a delicious chrome Mafex Phasma vs getting a cheaper Phasma plus a Brienne cause you were on a fixed budget. Maybe I misinterpreted you.The Bandai kits are fully chromed as well and considerably cheaper than Mafex. Drawbacks are that you need to paint the gun and the black parts of the gloves since both things are fully cast in chrome and you need a cape since the ones provided suck.
>>7622630>Holdoyou better buy her next time, you sexist piece of shit
Would this work for Black Series? I was wondering so I could more easily carry some around while out taking Insta photos in the park.
>>7624974S O Y
>>7624974don't do it
>>7623412What a shitty waveGood thing it'll never actually hit retail since TVC is completely dead thereAHAHAHAHA
>>7625356There's no hope. Here in Texas, HEB grocery stores were one of the last places that was still getting new-ish TVC shipments, waves 2 and 3 were showing up in the last few months. HEB was the only place that carried the last Solo Force Link wave in reasonable numbers. Now even they're eliminating TVC and TBS at a lot of stores.
>>7624974do it, star wars fans can't get any lower anyway.
>>7625356Only Stormtroopers and popular characters from the OT make money. It's going to be like that unless Episode 9 becomes a smash hit.
>>7625434That wave has no ST in it, dude. The problem isn't OT vs ST, it's that it's a wave of repacks nobody wants of sculpts everyone got years ago. Only the RO trooper is going to be a seller.
>>7623652>>7623928Mafex Phasma is on sale all the time for ridiculously cheap prices because no one wants her apparently. Keep a lookout during sale seasons if you want one for a steal.
>>7623715I think it’s a price thing. We got an R2 with the same sculpt, a clean paint job, and more accessories in the Last Jedi line a year ago and he was 5 dollars less. If you’re gonna make R2 full price he should be packed with every accessory he uses in the movie like the Black Series figure to justify that cost.
>>7625803Hell, that TLJ Artoo was repacked in the Galaxy of Adventure line, which was readily available for months and is still sitting on the shelf in some stores. It's like 2012 again where they had the exact same Qui-Gon sculpt on three cards at three pricepoints.
>>7623391Should give you respect for the legion of mouse funded vfx artist who paint that shit out.
>>7625803>>7626057Got it, I suppose the R2 to get is the older TVC RotJ Jabba's Drink serving one?
>>7625368God Hasbro dropped the ball big time on retail with that terrible first wave. I'm always on the look out at my H-E-B store, Hell, I even ordered my own case of that Solo wave just to get some figures to chop up to customize. I hope we at least get to see the wave after next hit pegs for the holidays. SDCC is coming up, so here's hoping they won't fuck over the 3.75" scale once again.
>>7626487I mean I think that one’s pretty pricey on the secondhand market too.
>>7626526im pissed that the ball wasnt even picked up to even drop. Wave 1 rots away at the big 2 retailers( with the Trooper Han disappearing after Fathers day to boot), and smaller chains seem to be getting some progress, but not much past 2 or 3.somebody mentioned Kroger, but the nearest one is a 2 hour drive and i want to be sure its a treasure trove before making the trek. i would order more online but my mom is nosy and goes through my mail and acts cunty if she sees any figures.
>>7626823>I would order more online but my mom is nosy and goes through my mail and acts cunty if she sees any figures.Mate, you are going to have to cross this bridge some day.
>>7626823Get a PO Box. That's what I did when I was still living with my parents and didn't want them to know who I was getting mail from.
The Black Series Grievous sucks. It can't stand up.The feet are too floppy.I haven't got it to stand for at least 24 hours yet.The cape is crap, missing the insignia. The plastic in the joints is loose so the arms move on their own.The articulation sucks and the forearm looks like it will break. No wrist articulation.
>>7626823Fucking move out. I'd lose my mind if my mother went through my mail. >>7626963Didn't want her seeing those dragon dildos eh anon?
This got a chuckle out of me when I picked up Zuckuss over the weekend.
Now that the dust has settled, has everyone forgotten about the Didley Land droids?
My cheap ass tank is "complete" now.
>>7628501> Custom Droid> Obvious color pallets no one is going to mix and matchI hate this sort of shit.
>>7625455Mafex Phasma is a piece of shit. I own all the Phasmas and the figuarts is the only one that can actually do action poses.
does she happen to have an actual good figure, lads? god help me i love her design, preferably first season. the 6' and 3.75 hasbro ones look pretty bad.>there isn't even a bo-katan figure
>>76285056 inch when Hasbro? My empire shelf isn't complete without him.
>>7628561>the 6'>6'You have a 1/1 eh?
>>7626933yeah, thats a given....>>7626963>>7627444i was just about to do something similar. or just have it dropped at work seeing as i pretty much live there already. tell the Jap upstairs not to open them
>>7621615Space Harley Quinn.
So is it me or is the Black Series Chopper too fat?
>>7626823Buy a 'Thicc booty mega masturbator 5000', that's the last time she'll go through your mail.
>>7628795Thats how he was on the cartoon.
>>7628523Honestly, some of the combos with the optional door colors look pretty alright. But that should come standard, not be an additional cost. It kinda just feels like all this shit that should have been standard with the R units was cut, because they can't do it with the BB units, and the BBs looks like cheap junk by comparison
Opened this new wave of bs figures except for obi wan, and I like these figures very much, i feltam pretty shitty nowadays but the new figures made me feel better... I hope that zeb and agent kallus (no chance I know) comes out this year... comic characters would be great aswell...
>>7628795He's not a standard astromech. Probably an early prototype.
>>7628561Leave her helmet on and she's fine.
>>7628795A bit, yeah. He's supposed to be shorter than a regular R2 unit, but beyond that have the same basic proportions. TBS Chopper is pretty wide compared to TBS Artoo, though I think they made TBS Artoo too small. I think the issue isn't that TBS Chopper is too wide, but that they made him too big overall. His proportions look right, but since he's oversized and Artoo and the other astromechs are undersized, he looks off.
Found both the new TBS and archive waves at Target. Surprisingly, Anakin was the only one missing from the archive wave, there were still two Mauls, two Yodas, and one Biker Scout. The TBS wave was fully intact except for Ezra. Both Obi-Wans and both Choppers were there, though I'm baffled that someone would want the lone Ezra but leave both Choppers.
>>7629643Who gives a shit, Star Wars is dead
>>7621703>Why be loyal when you'll get choked?Just do your job properly. How hard can it be to not break too early when coming out of Hyperspace? It sounds like you have to intentionally fuck that up.>>7627433> he didn't build the model kit> he didn't wait for the FiguartsI could tell Grievous would be shit when the arms were obviously missing wrists (not even surprising that only jap companies would do them) and none of the pictures showed him in 2-arm mode.>>7628567Hope the vest is a removable overlay when they just upscale that design. Also wonder how Crait Luke will differ between TVC and BS.>>7628795When you use R2-D2 from any japanese company Chooper looks perfect. Hasbro is just too lazy to update their regular astromech body.
>>7629799>When you use R2-D2 from any japanese company Chooper looks perfect. Hasbro is just too lazy to update their regular astromech body.This. TBS Artoo is too small and not worth it for the insane prices he goes for. You could get the Bandai kit that also comes with R5-D4 and get two droids that scale much better with TBS than the actual TBS Artoo for a better price.
>>7629228Model kit seems accurate, it's just that BS R2 is off model and makes chopper look big.
>>7626823Dude, if you can’t move out then at least rent a small PO Box at your local post office. If the package is ever too big for the box the postal workers will hold onto it and you’ll get a delivery slip in you box to present to them for receiving it.
>>7630172Is that the Bandai one? I think I might get it
So I looked at the global deletion list for the Wal-Mart fall reset, and TVC is being deleted. At this rate Hasbro Pulse is going to be the only place to buy them.
>>7630347Sad, but not surprising. Hasbro made pretty much every bad decision possible with the relaunch. We all knew form the beginning that stacking the first wave with a bunch of repacks of things still readily available the year before was a really bad idea. Even worse, Hasbro acknowledged that the first wave has to be strong because that's the one that's going to be ordered the most, hence if the first wave is full of duds they're going to be around for a while. And then they proceed to make a wave full of duds. What hope is there for 3.75 at this point? Making it an online exclusive? Will they even bother making new figures for such a line? As it is it's already heavy with repacks, and that's with strong retail support.
Tried out making a replacement lightsaber blade with a white core. This was harder than I thought it might be.
>>7630371Is it supposed to look fiery?
>>7628839i can tell you that didnt work....either time
>>7630283Be aware that there are several releases with different plastics for the grey/metallic parts. I think the best looking was the one that came with C3PO. Try to look for comparisons. This is, unless you intend to paint it anyways.
>>7630363Not to mention Rian Johnson fucked everything up with Snoke, so he became retail poison too.
>>7630658Why do people blame Rian for Snoke? Snoke was a shit character to begin with.
>>7630824Because Rian took the shit that was Force Awakens and somehow added an even more rancid smell to it all.
>>7629643Honestly, $20 for any Droid feels like highway robbery.
>>7630824There's this notion that Snoke somehow had potential and Rian killed it by killing him. This almost universally translates to "my Snoke theory wasn't confirmed and Rian killed Snoke instead of revealing him to be Plagueis!"The bigger issue here is that there is basically no scenario where Snoke would be a top seller.
>>7630830At the very least Chopper comes with the fire effect, though it's kind of useless and I don't think I'd ever display him with it if I got him. Still, it shows they at least realized Chopper on his own wasn't going to cut it and added something to make it seem worthwhile. That's better than Yoda, who is a third the size of a regular figure but just gets a cane, a snake and a lightsaber and that's it. Nothing else to justify paying the same amount for him as you would for Chewie.
>>7630836Yeah, why would anyone want the big bad guy of the series...oh right they made him suck and fucked it up.
>>7630836>The bigger issue here is that there is basically no scenario where Snoke would be a top seller.Hell, Palpatine himself has never been a huge seller. Of course a character who exists only to be a cheap knockoff of him would be a dud. I still think Snoke would've done okay if he'd been left to wave 2 or 3, he'd still be a slower seller but he'd be on par with Solo Han or Cassian where you'd see maybe a couple of him at each store instead of this massive pegwarming infection you got by putting him in wave 1.
>>7630844>he thinks action figure sales are based on how important a character isHow new are you to Star Wars?
>>7630848How retarded are you?
>>7630848I'm willing to bet this dude bitching about Johnson isn't even a collector, he just needed an excuse to bitch about TLJ for the hundredth time.
>>7630860I'm willing to bet you're just that much of a moron to believe that.

>55 unique posters>71 votesHmmm
Just got my TVC Combat Assault Tank Commander in. He is pretty cool. Of course the card / bubble was busted up from Amazon shipping. I don't care too much since he was going in the tank.
>>7631151It's now at 148, has it been one guy changing his IP for like an hour?
>>7630836The problem is that Rian decided to kill of the character without giving any explanation of where this powerful dark side Force user came from. His shitty "Your Snoke Theory Sucks" tweet just shows of how much of a man-baby cunt he is, since his was non-existent.
>>7631237I have, but this is necessary to prevent Disney shills from rigging the poll. All I did was unskew it to better reflect how people view the movie, which is an overwhelmingly negative response.
>>7631627>>being this delusional
>>7631627Did you literally spend hours changing your IP so you could rig this nonsense poll because you thought the Disney bogeyman would do it themselves if you didn't?
>>7630907>4 years later >you retards are still hereJust fucking leave at this point
>>7631802The fact that there were yes votes proves they did. You may think it petty, but this is war. No quarter should ever be given to the enemy, under any circumstances.
>>7631867>4 years later >you retards are still hereSomething in common with those Finn figures I guess.
I like these guys :)
>>7632062I really want Chopper to go with my Hera and Kanan.
So I've only read a couple of books from the EU/Legends and a handful of Dark Horse comics. My sister bought me a copy of the Dark Empire trilogy hardcover for my birthday today. What am I in for and do I need to read anything else before it?
>>7632062>Saw an Ezra today>His hips looked kinda weird so I just figured it was bad QC>Look up a review or two after I get home>That's actually what the hip joints look like on him>tfw I probably missed my one chance to get him because Black Series distribution in my area is dogshit
>>7632073>What am I in for and do I need to read anything else before it?Just read it and enjoy, it's fun. I have only read the first two but it's pretty great (and the art work is outstanding) on a fan service level.
>>7632073Dark Empire? The art's pretty great in those comics, they're incredibly entertaining though. You'll wonder how we could get something this good so many years ago and then how they flub it all up with the Sequel trilogy now.
>>7632062>>7632071>>7632079>buying Disney shitSure smells like Jew in here
>>7631499This, Snoke is just a copy for the sake of having a copy of Sheev and anyone who has a problem with getting off-brand versions of the real deal in the new movies without any and all justification (including the entire First Order cast and most other ST characters) is actively antagonized by Lucasfilm employees and ideologues. It's obvious they just want to change costumes, vehicle designs and characters to mark their territory like a dog.I have absolutely no interest in knowing where Snoke came from or what he does, just as much as I don't care about Reys parents or whatever Jar Jar designated the mystery box for his turd. Mystery for mysteries sake feels utterly soulless and I never went back from that position since 2015. I want the story to tell me something and the only thing I got out of it is that barely anyone in universe even cares about the state of the galaxy.>>7632073It's designed to be a stand-alone continuation of the movies. The only notable things coming before it are the X-Wing Rogue Squadron books and comics and Thrawn trilogy but they don't play a role in Dark Empire. I would only like to warn you that the third part of the trilogy was cut down from 6 issues to 2 issues and thus has a very rushed ending. For some it's also easier to stomach the weirder parts of the story when put in context with the 80s Marvel comics than with only the movies. It's definitely one of the better parts of the EU.The imperial civil war mentioned in the crawl text was never actually depicted in a story and is only put in as an excuse to explain why Coruscant was part of the New Republic in the Thrawn trilogy (9 years after Yavin) while it is imperial controlled in 11 after Yavin.
>>7619618I need more Retro figures.
>>7632062I have never watched Clone Wars but I kind of wish I hadn't skipped on the cast as BS. They all look more interesting than Sequel characters.

>>7632300or there are people like me, who don't post, that voted.
>>7621964TVC's revival has been so disappointing. Not everything in the line previously was gold (there were plenty of mediocre repaints and even a few fresher duds) but they put out a lot of new figures that remain great. I really expected and hoped the revival would continue that trend.
>>7633211>people like me, who don't post...he typed, just before pressing the "post" button.
>>7633220My biggest issue is the price and how hard they are to find now. They only way to get a hold of them is basically online. I am pretty sure they will phase the line out, like they did with the BS version. I am not a collector of TVC, but I do think it's a good line and a great fan service. The Combat Assault Tank is just super amazing. 80 dollars amazing and with out a pack in figure? No. That's why I waited and picked it up for 40 dollars.
>>7633220What annoys me is that Hasbro said that it would only be repack-heavy at the beginning, and that once TVC got going we'd be seeing more new or at least partially new figures. Turns out that was a lie and it's been almost endless repacks, a lot of them using shoddy faceprinting (which works in 6 inch but rarely looks good at 3.75 scale) to justify calling them new. Not that it even matters now, since retail is abandoning it. Even if it continues as an online exclusive, it's just going to be even more repacks because the lack of mass retail support means they won't be able to justify new sculpting as easily.
>>7633231price is alright, but the only thing that held me back from buying more when they started being sold for $50 and under is the fact it's such a worthless vehicle. It suffers from all the weapons being knee height or lower.Fucking dumb, almost at the level of the Cobra Rage tank.At least designs like this had the turret being able to rise and lower, which is a neat feature and takes a little suspension of believe where it works out. Whereas that Rogue One tank is basically just some transport that offers no protection and barely workable guns.
>>7633241While I understand where you are coming form, I really love the design of the Combat Assault Tank. It's just so unique and weird. It's basically an armored transport converted into a a tank. It also doesn't hurt I love the way the pilot / commander looks.
>>7633241If we're being honest a lot of vehicles in Star Wars suffer from "this doesn't make a lot of sense/is really inefficient but it looks cool"Look at pretty much any of the walkers.
>>7633274Rule of cool works, but you only see it in the movie for about 1 minute in action and it's different when you have it in person and all the flaws are glaring at you. With ATATs, they're said to have super armor that makes them invulnerable to cannon fire and had no problems walking slowly toward heavily armed defensive trenches. IT's only when they got tied up that they had problems and only a single ATAT got knocked down from that, despite a squadron of snowspeeders trying to get at them. The tank had to level a building by shooting at the first floor just to get at some shooters on the roof. No turret, so it had to swivel around to make that shot and it got its shit stomped by people shooting down and throwing explosives down on it.Storywise, ATATs were kickass. The tank was the opposite, but that was its purpose for dramatic effect. Originally was supposed to be a hover thing, but they needed a crawly thing to move through the streets to get ambushed.... do you see how nuStar Wars is full failure in terms of merch? Kids don't like losers.I mean, i like the design too, hence my buying it (mostly for use as background support vehicle), but it exists solely to be beat up and that doesn't go well with kids.
>>7633327Of course subjectanon collects Star Wars shit.
>>7633395Shut the fuck up
Why do SHF faces look so much better than Hasbro? I thought they were using the photo real thing.
>>7633239Barely a year is over, I guess it's still early enough from their point of view.Even then, repacks are good but they should be more like the Gamorrean Guard and the ROTJ Luke wave to push out some of the figures that only go for 100$ now and pull in some new collectors with real mainstays, not fucking Han Solo with an open fur coat. I swear he only wore it closed or the open blue jacket but not the open coat.>>7633327>With ATATs, they're said to have super armor that makes them invulnerable to cannon fire and had no problems walking slowly toward heavily armed defensive trenches. IT's only when they got tied up that they had problems and only a single ATAT got knocked down from that, despite a squadron of snowspeeders trying to get at them.Imagine the skill necessary for that, first the pilot has to be able to fly at least three times around the walker who can give each other cover fire in their caravan and don't even need to pay attention to the soldiers and turrets in the trenches at the base. Then the gunner has to shoot and hit with the cable gun at least three times because one cable did nothing to slow the walker down. Then there is the question if your cables are even strong enough for this stupid idea and why would you even maintain airspeeders with cable guns in the first place? I can't get sold on the idea that these things can move cargo with their cables and it's obvious that the rebels didn't design Snowspeeders specifically as anti-AT-AT weapons when only one of them tried that cable maneuver. There are far more issues with Snowspeeders existing at all than AT-ATs whereas the worst thing you can say about it keeping its intention in mind is that it obviously generate enough energy to mount more guns and turrets on it that should point from its sides and back.
>>7632652NAZI RUSSIAN HACKERS HATE FEMALE REPRESENTATION IN MY POPCORN FLICKS
>>7633507a snowspeeder having a tow cable makes sense, considering how important towing capabilities are are in ice and snow areas. You have to remember that air speeders are basically just cars and such in the Star Wars universe, but objects are still placed on the ground and will need to be moved around by the ground as well.Anyway, snowspeeders existing just makes Star Wars a little more believable. it's like how the army doesn't have just one armored vehicle or one jet. There's a multitude of military equipment that exists to fill various roles and niches. This is why there's such a fight against multi-role jets/vehicles/boats, because they dont get the job done properly and seen as inferior to specifically made equipment.
>>7619621Why did they give her such a homely face? It's not like they had to base it off a real life actress like Rose Tico. They could have made her look like anything they wanted.

>>7635644Right? I want to take all that off and use the unhooded head anyway.
>>7634194>You have to remember that air speeders are basically just cars and such in the Star Wars universe, but objects are still placed on the ground and will need to be moved around by the ground as well.Repulsorcrafts like Landspeeders makes more sense for towing or carrying cargo and have always been used in this capacity. Airspeeders are for scouting and faster travel or cities like Coruscant which are rare.It also still doesn't explain why the cable has to be shot like a harpoon when airspeeders have slower hover modes as demonstrated when they left the hangar in TESB where they can act like repulsorcraft. It appears the cable gun was specifically made to counter AT-ATs but was only used in that one battle and only that one scene (video games excluded since they are always of doubtful canon status).

>>7636435Because there are others using exact same wording to say it is good. I like it but that is because I am always a sucker for red troopers. But I fully understand why people would hate it (those lines for instance)

>>7636071I'm just so tired of them trying to go "Look, look, this is cool right? Don't you guys like this now? Please see our movie and buy our toys!" After four bad to utterly terrible movies, I just can't care about what Disney thinks is Star Wars anymore.
>>7636043>>7636071Cripes, the KOTOR sith troopers look tougher & scarier than that crimson canard.
>>7636338I was actually thinking the opposite. The figure does nothing for me but the accessories actually look pretty cool. I just wish they didn't have that red deco.
>>7636043I'll wait till it's warming shelves and on sale for like $5. Because that's all Disney deserves.
>Sith trooperI don't know what the name implies for the story, but it can't imply anything good. Not that I expected anything good.
>>7635966Remember how they couldn't use the snowspeeder until morning? air flying things arent always viable, even if they're repulsorcrafts or whatever. As for harpoons, that's all you saw. There's no reason it shouldn't also have an option to just do it by hand. I'm sure there's a bunch of towwers who wish they could shoot a magnetic line from the comfort of their cab. Also, since they're air speeders, using it while youre in the air means there's no way to really do it by hand. Hence, that harpoon.Come on, it's not hard to be creative. Also, the fact that that gunner in the back is facing backwards shows it's probably used for something else that requires a worker to always be looking backwards.it's really clever in how fucking ghetto the rebels are in Star Wars. The snowspeeders are nothing more than technicals like toyotas in Africa being used as APCs and IFVs.Nothing but cobbled together junk... which the nuWars took literal with those stupid B-wings that look like orcs put it together and there's no WAAAGH to keep it from wobbling apart, instead of a solid chunk human ingenuity like the snowspeeder.
>>7636043>>7636071still looks like a stupid duck.Fuck off disney.
>>7636551The ducktrooper meme has always been a big stretchI mean the FO stormtroopers do look terrible but the duck thing is one of those "I guuuuuess I kind of see it" things.
>>7636551>>7636649The FO troopers never looked that bad to me on their own; they just embody the stupidity of this entire revival. They look like a subtle "what if Star Wars got a reboot?" parody to me. The RoboCop reboot design gave me identical vibes, but that movie was actually self-aware about it.
>>7636431Why is it shitposting? It looks good. That's the truth of the matter.
>All those hate-boners for DisneyYep, Star Wars General
>>7636649Ain't no stretch. It's as clear as day and I'm happy it got mocked everywhere the same day i saw the design.Unsurprisingly, they're the worst selling troopers ever. Shit clogs the pegs along with Kylo Ren, Phasma, Pajama Man, and makes sure i can't buy anything else.Unsurprisingly too, my local Walmart didn't carry Star Wars anything since last summer, except for lightsabers.
>>7636787>Ain't no stretch. It is. Even colored yellow it just looks like a giant chin rather than an actual beak. Looks more like Battletoads than a duck.
>>7636811>Looks more like Battletoads than a duck.is this some sort of meme and I'm being trolled, or is your memory just shit?
>>7636787>>7636811I think it'd look more like a duck beak if the black "mouth" line wasn't there. As it is, it breaks it up and prevents it from being a proper duck beak. That's why it doesn't really work.

>>7636043>>7636071It honestly doesn't look at that bad. I'm willing to bet money the people who design the Sith Trooper, are the same who designed the troopers from Rogue One and Solo... because their troopers are pretty great.
>>7636439The lines are fine but what's really lame is that it's just a full body recolor, never appealed to me and always looked odd (like Shadowtroopers)Clonetrooper markings are how to do it right
>>7636091>It's star wars. It's guaranteed to sell.Is that bait?
>>7636787>Unsurprisingly, they're the worst selling troopers ever.Holy shit this, it's been fucking years and Sideshow and BBTS run these huge "please get them the fuck out of our inventory" sales with special promo codes all the time and they're still there because no one fucking wants them.Makes me so mad this Disney shit is what's constantly available instead of better OT or PT troopers, what a shame. It's not just the design and looks that are garbage but their articulation too, with a bulky undersuit that restricts movement so that you might as well get a statue at that point with how limited the range of motion is, I bet the new Sithtrooper will suffer the same flaw because HT doesn't care anymoreGod I hate the ST so much
>>7637145Yeah, the Red looks weird and wrong. Like one of those goofy special editions by some random no name brand that Hasbro does for TFs sometimes.
>>7637126it really doesn't take much to do a rip off on a Stormtrooper helmet, but the "Sith" trooper is just so fucking lazy. Rogue One (did Solo even do a rip off?) actually made them look physically different, whereas this is just adding ribs n shit to the armor. There's no real distinction to its profile, like a cheapshit Kenner figure where they're saving as much money as possible by retooling old shit. Might as well be a redeco.
>>7637160So fucking true, I get those coupons in from Sideshow and then when I put in "what's available" it's always those fucking Disney troopers.

>>7637778i just cant get over the fucked design. its clearly a leafblower, but they stuck a stock on it....but there dosnt appear to be a rifle style trigger or guard like the stock would suggest, so its probably not supposed to be aimed down sights like a rifle. maybe its a rocket/plasma/energy/ flamethrower thing...but then why the stock? typically, from memory, heavy Demo weapons like flamethrowers and RPGs in star wars are close to real world design i.e. no midget ass stock. Minigun? then why the rifle stock???my only true guess is a grenade launcher, or a net/Bola launcher to "capture" jedi.this is fucking stupid. just add space shit to real guns like they did in the past and stop with the Tacticool lawn equipment. this crimson motherfucker is going to prune my hedges then blow my leaves, not capture space samurai wizards. maybe if hes lucky and the old lady down the block is impressed with his shit OC cosplay he`ll get some lemonade for his effort

>>7646780Appearance-wise it's pretty good and I think the articulation is ok/decent, but it's definitely not a fun toy compared to say, TVC Aayla Secura. If you just have it sit on a shelf with the rest of your jedi it blends in nicely and looks good with Barriss. The silhouette is on-point. I think her actual movie cloak and skirt would be too hard to replicate in toy form anyway, considering it has all those intricate patterns and whatnot. My main problem with it is actually just the face. Not the face sculpt, but just the paint. Her lips are too thin and the eyes just don't pop out at all.

>>7647344No. Disney Wars should be purged and erased from history. Maul is dead. By buying this you are rewarding Disney's absolutely retarded decision to bring him back to life and put him in the middle of a Han fucking Solo movie with no fucking explanation.
>>7647531He was alive in George's Clone Wars cartoon and had some good bits in Rebels and a final showdown with Obi Wan, the Solo thing is obviously before he dies (for reals this time)
>>7647531Disney didn't bring him back. Lucas did. Do your research you fucking /tv/ tourist.
>>7647568>>7647578Maul wasn't in Clone Wars, you fucking retards. He was brought back in the abomination "THE" Clone Wars which was made by DISNEY you fucking mongs.
>>7646918why didnt they make Track jacket Jyn the standard BS/VC figure. i really like how it looks
>>7647696>Old Wounds>Maul novelimagine being this fucking retarded that you have to slice up and distort history like Anakin on Younglings
>>7647696>>He was brought back in the abomination "THE" Clone Wars which was made by DISNEY you fucking mongs.Oh lawdy he going all out son.
>>7647784God Damn but she needs some pose-ability. Nothing in the arms of legs. I may see what her head looks like on a Marauder Valk.
>>7647794I know about Old Wounds, but which Maul novel did he have robolegs in? I thought I had read every single one of the EU ones
>>7647696Did Disney acquire Warner Bros. already? No wonder people say they are a monopoly.>>7647531The "no explanation" part bugs me the most. I preferred the implication that Maul just crashlanded on Not-Malachor for a decade or two. But now they tell us the fucker had a successful crime empire despite failing at every other point in time and then got fucked with a strap-on by Khaleesi to that place like 2 years before Rebels and apparently just didn't give a shit anymore?>>7647991The Wrath of Darth Maul is a giant flashback of TCW era Maul. There was also the 4 part comic called Sith Hunters.Though TCW-based EU is fucking 80s Marvel tier, I would rather we all forget about it.
>>7648361>Did Disney acquire Warner Bros. already? It wouldn't matter, TCW was produced entirely at Lucasfilm. WB only distributed the movie and CN only aired the show, neither had any actual involvement in the production or any kind of ownership over it.
>>7648361>But now they tell us the fucker had a successful crime empire despite failing at every other point in time and then got fucked with a strap-on by Khaleesi to that place like 2 years before Rebels and apparently just didn't give a shit anymore?Since this one still ends in failure anyway, I don't see what the problem is. It's still consistent with the idea that Maul can't seem to hold onto anything. We don't even know how long he had it.
If your local Best Buy is getting any of the new wave in, the figures aren't shown as being marked down, but are ringing up at clearance.
Got my TVC Stormtroopers. 5 of them. I'm happy.
>>7647991the wrath of Maul novel released around 2011 or so that was all about his childhood, training, and fight with obi wan, ending with him on the landfill planet with his spider legsthe cover is a smiling maulits been a while, but i remember it being a pretty good read. really dived into the psyche of Maul from wide eyed child in love to batshit robo spider
