DC General thread because the other one fell off the board. So the Super Lex wave of the DC Multiverse line is finally hitting shelves. I know because my local Target has got three TEH REY figures on the shelves and nobody else. Looks like the local scalper is up to his usual tricks. But two can play at that game! I ordered Wonder Woman online at MSRP with free shipping. Not a bad deal and the seller shipped her out super fast.Yeah, I'm pretty excited for this wave. There's only four figures to buy and complete the BAF, Super Lex. All the figures in this wave look great too. So let's get started by opening up Wonder Woman and-Wait a second. Something's not right...
>>7553392Computer, enhance section C-17.
>>7553395GAWDDAMMIT MATTY!!!She's got two right hands! How did this slip past QC??? I gotta return this figure and I hate doing online returns. Just goes to show you why buying in the physical store when you can is better in the long run.
Todd better bless us with a fantastic Wonder Woman figure next year
>>7553398Thankfully, the seller was good on exchanges and shipped a new Wondy to me. Granted, I had to ship ol' lefty back and spend $5 doing so, but it's the principal of the thing.A week passes and I get my fixed Wonder Woman. I checked her over. She's great! Put her on the desk, go out to do some yard work, come back in, and...Discover that Wonder Woman's upper torso skin has gotten several shades darker in the couple hours I was gone. WTF?
>>7553407The lower thighs are slightly darker too, but it's the torso that's really noticeable. From a warm orange fleshtone to cold clay tan. It's almost like Wondy is wearing an upper body stocking. Really off-putting. I've seen some youtube reviewers commenting that the torso paint is slighly off color, but their Wondys are nowhere near as off color as mine. What happened? It's been really hot the past few days and the mail package was out there for a couple of hours before I got home. Was the paint on the toso affected by the heat? Did the shock of going inside an air condition house affect the plastic or paint? Here's a line up of all the other Wondy figures I have in contrast. She's certainly better than the old DCU Wondy as far as articulation and sculpt go.
Picked up babs and the rest of this wave at a con over the weekend. Cant wait for redhood to come out.
>>7553426It's a shame the essentials are so bare bone though. Most icons came with a slew of accessories.
>>7553418And that ends my tale of my misadventure with DC Multiverse Wonder Woman. Let this be a lesson to you to buy from the store whenever you can. I guess my search for a good Wonder Woman that's not fundamentally flawed or a rape prices will continue on.If you anons have your own Multiverse Wondy, please post a pic of her. It would be helpful to see if yours is going through the same discoloration as mine is doing.
>>7553392I wish this figure didn't have insane skin tone issues. It's so bad.
Anyone selling an Ultra Humanite figure?
>>7553431The Essentials don't seem awful but I really wish they would have stuck to their guns with the Icons stuff.
>>7553392>So the Super Lex wave of the DC Multiverse line is finally hitting shelvesPeople been had this and the Lobo wave all year
>>7553418God they are so fucking ugly
>>7553582>People been had this and the Lobo wave all yearYes, because they bought them online, moron. Matty's distribution of the DC Multiverse to brick n' motar stores has been horrendously shitty. Some places have never even seen the Clayface wave, let alone the Lobo or Lex waves. It doesn't help that that the Aquaman & Shazam waves were prioritized getting to store shelves over the regular comic waves. And let's not forget the huge bomb that was the Doomsday wave. My local Wal-Mart is still sitting on a shelf full of fem-robins that they can't get rid of for $3.And before you ask why don't they just buy online, read OP's story, dumbass.
>>7553612>Yes, because they bought them online, moronOh that explains why I bought mine at Target LAST YEAR.
>>7553618>My contradictory anecdote trumps any facts you throw at me.>I can't prove that my contradictory anecdote happened, you'll just have to take my word for it... Online. That's cool. I bet you also have an uncle who works at Nintendo too.
>>7553612I've seen the Super Lex wave at my Walmart as late as like 2 months ago. Nice anecdotal evidence there. The wave has been out for a while now.
>>7553665It's subjectanon crying again. Don't worry.
>>7553636 Oh because your anecdotal evidence of never seeing them means nobody else ever did, right? Shit, I can even tell you when I bought one: the night the new Broly movie was showing in theaters in January. I walked out of the movie and across the street to Target and bought Gaslight Batman. Sorry I don't keep 5 month old receipts just to provide proof of purchase to some fag on the internet later. That was after months of seeing nothing but Ray and Vixen.
>>7553651>>7553665>Don't believe me? I'm gonna give you more anecdotal evidence that I can't prove and goes against what other people have said!Well, you sure showed me.
>>7553682Here's posts of people finding the wave in November, dipshit http://thefwoosh.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=93231&start=10575
>>7553682You've now had 2 different people tell you that you were wrong. When you have corroborating evidence it's no longer anecdotal. Cry more bitch.
This thread is hilarious. Mattel is awful
>>7553686>>7553698>They're discussing the Lynda Carter WW, not the multiverse one.>They stated they bought them online.>Linking to Fwoosh in general. Can you be any more wrong, subjectanon?

Wait? Which one of you is subjectanon? The guy who also found the Super Lex wave or the one who thinks it's hitting retail only now? I'm the other anon who saw the wave a while ago.
>>7553756The one who thinks it's only just now hitting got called that, then called me that in response to proof it came out last year

>>7554123>height of ML figures so retards can finally shut the fuck up about itIt would likely be 7" like most things they do, but I might be wrong. >>great articulationThey gonna apply the Fortnite articulation to all their future lines.
>>7554128personally, I don't mind 7 inch figures but ML figures have a pretty great standard when it comes to that. it also means effectively more space when the figures are smaller. they totally fucked up with the Essentials line though because the proportions are way off and the figures look even bigger because of that. horrible shit right there
>>7554115beats you Americans, sued into poverty because you downloaded an MP3 file, unable to get health care without being wealthy, and shot on the spot by a cop for shoplifting.
My Target had two Wonder Woman and Batman but goddamn the quality is utter shit. Sloppy paint on Bats and Diana's chest piece is a completely different duller color than her arms. I just wanted to complete Lobo but at this point it'd be better getting the Storm Collectibles one.
>>7553742Yeah I worked at Target and the Lobo wave never was stocked here. We got one case of Clayface and those disappeared in a day. And we got two fucking Lex waves and Wonder Woman was the only one who was pegwarming before I left. Yes alongside femme Robin and Hawk boi.
I'm excited for Todd taking over for two reasons. He gives the fans what they want and there won't be any distribution issues with him. For the majority of their existence the Mattel figures were horrible, and now that they're not horrible they're impossible to get. So good riddance.
>>7554115It's not a toy tax, it's an entirely optional donation to the local muslims as an apology for having toys which might be viewed as idolatry of something that isn't Allah.
When's Bandai going to announce more DC figures?
Goddamn, subjectanon makes it impossible to have a thread about DC toys. Goin out of his way to Photoshop receipts at 5 in the morning to try and prove he's right. What. A. Mong.

>haven't posted in thread>cries of subjectanonohohoho, comedic proof my grudge holders can't do anything but shit up threads by calling anyone that.Even more funny is that they think i would pay money for Mattel's trash. They do not deserve any support even after they lost the DC license. Found and bought the animated series Scarecrow at Think Geek today. Couple bucks higher than I'd have liked to pay, but whatever. Wanted this guy for a while. Saw plenty of the other figures in the wave too.
>anon is one personExplains why he enjoys replying to himself so much!
Bought two pretty nice figures. Tin is articulated too, but not a lot. Also little metal bro have some problems with standing, but i think i decided them by hot water.
Is there a batman figure based on his Batman Inc design?
There are no good DC toys. Prove me wrong.
What's the best movie wonder woman figure? Figuarts or the Mafex versions?

>>7556137Considering they haven't even dipped their toes into DC comics properties and only like 5 people actually like Ralph, I'd say pretty slim.
>>7556137Ralph is a fairly well liked character with people who were reading DC comics a decade ago and I would buy it but that would never ever happen. If we ever got a Mafex stretchy guy it would be Plastic Man and we aren't ever getting Plastic Man unless he is in a smash hit film.

Does Thin White Duke Joker have any figures? Zurenarrh Batman?
>>7569827I think there’s a figure of Joker from the beginning of Morrison’s run but it might not be exactly what you’re looking for. Part of DCD’s old Batman and Son line if I remember correctly. Zur-En-Arrh Batman had a Mattel figure that came with Batmite.

>>7583115Don't buy a figure just to do it. Only buy figures for things/characters you genuinely enjoy.
If you genuinely like Batfleck then you should probably just spend your money on getting better taste instead.
>>7583115>vampire boyThe dude was in twilight like 10 years ago and hates it just as much as everyone else.
>>7576303The only thing out of that wave i wouldn't buy is Stewart, only because if i buy one Lantern, i would be compelled to buy them all
Don't really buy dc figs but I wanted to ask, what are the best batman and superman figures. Was looking at the essentials line but I'm not sure whether to get those or something else. Just want something akin to marvel legends and is decently articulated
>>7586051batman figs ranked:>mafexgreat articulation and detail, only movie figs. expensive imports>mezcogood articulation, great detail, cloth material (its better than it looks), expensive>figuartsexpensive imports. good articulation but I like the mafex paint better>revoltechexpensive import. the one batman fig has a huge ugly cape, but by far best articulation>dc collectiblesvarious statuesque figures, great to display with good detail. greg capullo batman is ok, but the hip articulation is almost nothing>dc iconsblue batman is short (black is ok height) and the articulation isnt quite as good as it looks, but in line with marvel legends>dc essentialsarticulation and plastic is wonky. not as good as it looks in picture>dc universe classicsold school, too expensive, outdated articulationbest value is mafex justice league batman, figuarts dark knight rises, or mezco sovereign knight or ascending knight. The domestic budget batman figures are either low articulation or slight downgrade to marvel legends. I like DC icons for a starter batman, but dc essentials is still ok for like $20for superman, the best deal by far is the dc collectibles film BvS superman for $40ish. otherwise, figures follow the description above, but avoid mafex dawn of justice superman.
>>7586051>>7586085for reference>>7564218mezco ascending knight is on the top left shelfmafex BvS batman and dc collectibles film superman is on the bookshelf on the right by deadpool>>7564220figuarts bale batman on the right, dc icons on the left>>7564222mafex on the far right and left, figuarts is the 2nd and 3rd from the right
>>7586051Mafex easily all of the Batman are great That said you won’t get anything really decent for legends price point.
Mattel has released pics of their new SDCC exclusive set featuring Silver Age Batman.
>>7586849>Regular Batman>Goth Batman>Wakanda Batman>PRIDE BatmanWho's ready for bat-diversity?
>>7586852Oh yeah, Matty is also releasing some fancy boxed Burton Batmobiles that you probably already have if Batmobiles are your thing.
>>7586849>>7586852wow, would be cool if it werent $80
>>7586856Neat, but yeah, I already have like...more versions of the Hot Wheels Batmobile than I really ever need. >>7586849I do think this is a fun set, but kind of a weird one to go out on. I guess it took the least amount of work.
>>7587112but 20 dollars a figure is normal
>>7586849>>7586852Man. I love this. But the figures themselves are awful. Those capes look terrible.
>>7586856But it has the armor cover and special packaging!
>>7587186I wouldnt pay $20 for any of those figuresI don't care about the basic batman, so it would be $26 per figure I care for$50 for the pack would entice me
Saw these at Gamestop. So very not impressed.
And saw these at Target, didn't expect them to get the second wave ever.
>>7597264Penguin seems neat.I never say the 90s Flash anywhere, which is annoying. DC lines all seem to be like this. They shelfwarm hard or never show up anywhere.
>>7597268Is this just the ancient Movie Masters figure?
>>7597404I think it's a whole new sculpt, taller than the Movie Masters, too.
>>7597404I hadn't thought of the old Movie Masters line in forever. I can't believe these got me back into collecting.
>>7597269especially not at that price
>>7598206Theres nothing wrong with the price really.
This seems like a pretty nice Gordon if you need one. Goes up tomorrow.
>>7598276$12 for a 5POA with no accessories? yuck
>>7598823It's nice, but now all I can see is Seal from the music video.
>>7598943They have accessories, are you really that dumb?
>tfw DC is FINALLY going to get some good 6-inch scale toys
>>7603080I hope he looks good next to my revo Deathstroke.
>>7603080>mafexoh fuck not again
>>7603360Pretty much all of the Movie Batmen that Mafex has made in the last couple years have been good.
>>7603386but this is the comic line, gwen wasn't bad but had sloppy paint, they went berserk with the shading in n spiderman and let's not talk about the head
>>7603080What would be a good body for the Bruce Wayne head?
>>7603400wild guess would be one of their bodies in suits (scarecrow, two face, one of the kingsman), but I'm not sure about the proportions
>>7603080>jim lee design
>>7603432damn it i need a dyatlov figure
>>7603080Fucking christ Mafex, aren't you bored with raping my wallet yet?
>>7603390You’re being a faggot again
>>7603080I dig it
>>7603080is this No. 100? I got it right but not down to Hush ver.
>>7603080Inb4 kingdom come shazam
>>7603432Its his style but the design was in use since after No Man's Land.
>>7604169yes, and I'm fucking tired of that
>>7603080Hell yeah. That looks sick.
DC Icons are a bit smaller than other 6 inch figures right? So they don't match well with any other DC line?
What's everyone's thoughts on the Batman Missions line? I keep seeing them in the store off and on, and the more I look at them and see of them, the more interesting they seem. They have good sculpts, a decent amount of articulation, and a good number of characters, along with a Batmobile and Batcycle, and in general just look like a fun line. I saw the Bane figure in Target a few days ago and was very tempted to buy him, and them happened when I saw the Harley Quinn a few times.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-uJ6QYyYvwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6Om3FCbyAkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nzNVRFEAfMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvaJPV401IoAny good figures from other lines that scale decently well with them? I was thinking the Justice League Batcave might look good with these.
>>7604707*and that happened when I saw Harley Quinn
>>7604707at least harley isn't as ugly as mothra
>>7604714Kill yourself mothranon.
>>7604865something about it is off.He looks huge but too thin at the same time.Is it just the midtorso throughing off the proportions?
>>7604892The mid torso does look a tad thin. Not awful and it could be like that to accommodate articulation. But it definitely looks a little off now that you pointed it out. We have a year before it comes out. I'm not worried.
>>7582913Do we have any pictures on what this will look like in colour?Even the card behind her would be a good guide
>>7607623I'm gonna take a wild guess and say she'll be mostly colored in black & red with blonde hair.
>>7607673And probably white to pale skin. Very boring.
>>7607730Ya knoe, a gyaru style Harley Quinn would be neat to see.
>>7603432I'd prefer Neal Adams myself, but this is still pretty fucking amazing looking.
>>7608066I'd buy one
