I want pictures! Pictures of RoC Snake Eyes!
>>7547870 Stupid trade wars... MGR is still doing good. They could have made a price increase to cover it but didn't.
>>7548100YetThat's the WW2 kickstarter that's already been paid for by the customers. SO Marauder is going to have to eat this extra cost . Bodes ill for this scale and the small companies that provide us with them.
>>7548107>Trump is fucking the country in the ass yet again so he can support his ego and pretends he cares about a nation that he usesThis shit's going to be a small portion of how bad things are about to get. I bet prices raise on damn near everything, just so a racist can feel good he stuck it to Asians or something.
>>7548131Supposedly the tabletop gaming industry is borked as well
>>7548131If you think the chinese aren't racist then you have another thing coming. A country needs to bring in money from the outside in order to flourish. It does that by exporting goods and attracting tourists. This has the additional benefit of the country being well-received and influencial. After WW2 America exported it's culture. It brought countries under US influence without any of the cons of waging war, and the people climbed over eachother to give their money for US products. That was the time when it was profitable to sell America Fuck Yeah army men to children across the globe. Then America dug it's own grave by 1) doing world policing, 2) by moving it's industry out of the country, 3) and by producing low quality culture.1) World policing is obvious. Nobody likes a bully.2) People want TFs. Hasbro sells TFs. Hasbro commissions chinese factories. The money goes to China. Hasbro uses the profits to maintain it's few offices in the US and commissions more chinese factories.3) Current shows, movies, social developments etc exported from the States suck. They're unwatchable. They're neither endearing America to the public nor compelling it to spend money on "American" products. Nerds nowadays are blowing money on anime while the normies were waiting for Endgame to stop watching MCU.As a third world euro I'm seeing America, a country that used to be awesome, treading an all too familiar path to destruction. Seeing adult americans being outraged at the prospect of having to pay more for luxuries and nonsense such as fucking toys, I don't know whether to laugh at you or spit at you.At least you aren't importing your own food and most of your fuel, so the essentials won't become too expensive.tl:dr you are spoiled, short-sighted brat
How’s about everyone shuts the fuck up about how much Trump, China, and tariffs all suck and just focus on toys. Toys are fun. Politics aren’t.
>>7548489Your increased costs for your gi joes will be fun to watch.
>>7548131It's okay. The American people are desparate for jobs and have been fed enough bullshit that I think they'll be able to start opening sweatshops here soon enough!Unrelated, How the hell did Marauders do a WW2 theme and STILL not give us a bomber jacket?
Anyone know where to find GI Joe style little hoses?
>>7548502The same way they didn't give us a Marine with a trench gun or a meme female Red Army sniper. Got to save something for WWII Kickstarter part 2.
>>7548535Yeah but where do they get it? Hardware store?>>7548524WW2 has so much from where to pick inspiration for figures that is not even funny. They could very well do 20 kick starters and still have plenty of stuff to do.
>>7548489>>7548491>Your increased costs for your gi joes will be fun to watchI haven't bought a GI Joe since Renegades. They've been shit since and are all remolds of Pursuit of Cobra but with colors aimed at autistic kids.
Was the Glyos KoTS armor inspired by TFA 5poa armor packs? This one from the first order pilot looks pretty cool when placed on a Wonder Man
So... How's the 1:18th Fortnite line? They look okay, I like the weapons and some of the designs.
>>7548580I love themGunna pick up the new sets today. It also got me into playing the game.
>>7548755Where did you find this set?
>>7548580It's probably the best action figure line coming from outside Japan atm, but you'll have to put some work into them to get the most out of them. The ratchet joints are a con imo. Carbide doesn't have his upgraded helmet. The future waves will be utilizing a lot of repaints.>>7548755Man, I wish I could buy Raven on his own.
>>7548755Really cool set. Wave 2 is even better than wave 1, that's quite rare!Where I live we just got wave 1, I think I'll wait in the hopes wave 2 arrives as well. >It also got me into playing the gameAnon...>>7548815>It's probably the best action figure line coming from outside Japan atmI wouldn't say that (because of the bigger size line, which shall not be discussed here), but it's definitely the best playline currently.
>>7548549>WW2 has so much from where to pick inspiration for figures that is not even funny. They could very well do 20 kick starters and still have plenty of stuff to do.Truth.
Anyone here ever check out the modular base building stuff over at tinyjoes.com? I'm desparately looking to build a bas for my joes/marauders, but they're way expensive for what you get.
>>7548934tinyjoes or smalljoes? Either way No. They seem too expensive and inocuous. Lack that playability feel that powerteam elite and old joe small sets have.
>>7548512>>7548535 I think smalljoes has this stuff and Joe Junkyard have this stuff as well.
>>7548573So this begs the question Are you buying ANY figures?
>>7548755This guy needs to have his arms and legs removed to be the REAL black knight. >>7548938Just buy some cheap (ish) H-hanger / pit base Gundam base knockoffs from Ali or another Asian online store.
>>7548938Sorry. Small, yeah. They did seem to have nothing cool; just sparse walls and floors.
>>7548834Todd is too form over function and in the end falls short in that too. I bought this guy some time ago. He is unreasonably top heavy, his toes and ankles doesn't align, his hip articulation has worse range of motion than 5poa, and his weapons look like chewed gum. It'll be a long time before I call anything McFarlane "good".
>>7549093>some time agoYou mean a long time ago, nigger.See >>7541656 >>7541658 >>7543296
Any ideas on stickers to put in these little screens? I would very much like to illuminate them but lack the skills.
>>75491232016 I think but I got it later. Time flies.
>>7548961Yes. This may come as a shock to you but there are other toys in a variety of scales from numerous other brands
>>7549205>>there are other toys in a variety of scales from numerous other brandsSo why exactly are you in a 1/18 thread unless you are just stirring up shit?
Man. My team's really evolved in the year that I've had them. And I feel like they finally came into their own.
>>7549288I dig it. My favorite is the robot arm wick
>>7549316He's mine too. Until I got the Wick head he was my self-insert guy. Now, though, I've made a new one and I'm waiting on a specific head to come for him. And I need to find some playing card symbol decals.
God damn I'm still salty! I got the 50'th anniversary Shipwreck/CC two pack yesterday and the Cobra Commander is shit. He's got two right feet and his left hand was so stuck with paint that I sheared it off the peg trying to rotate it! I glued it into fist raised in villainous intent position so that doesn't bother me as much as the two right feet.
>>7549387Sorry to hear that anon. The resolute ultimate CC is my favorite.
>>7549387Yeah the 50th ann figures had some of the most shit quality overall. I had an Iron grenadier with two of the same hands and the paint app on the dock flint and leatherneck was disgusting, as in they got a 3yo to paint the flesh tone over the whateverthefuck plastic they molded their forearms color was.
>>7549484Luckily the Shipwreck is fucking great. The head sculpt on my 50'th Snowjob is pretty good too so I'm just waiting on an order of MTF parts to give him a more useful body than the shitty bulky winter jacket they gave him. I had to replace my Baroness's head with a 25'th's because that paint job made her look like she had legitimate down's.
Are there any customs using the Retaliation Dark Ninja body to make an articulated Darth Maul?Or the blind master body to make an articulated Chirrut Imwe?
>>7549237Bitch where are you even going with this? I don’t buy GI Joe’s but that doesn’t somehow mean I don’t buy ANY figures but I’m in this thread because I enjoy the scale which doesn’t exclusively consist of GI Joe’s. Not sure you’re aware of that last part.
>>7548512Para-Viper has a bunch of hoses on him that you could use.
>>7549840 We need Gun-Runners to put out this type of Gas Mask - or the WW1 style.
>>7549542I think someone used the Retaliation Blind Master as a base for a Chirrut Imwe custom along with Retaliation Airborne's body for Blaze
>>7548549Who cares. Its 7 bucks for a 5 feet. That's cheap as fuck.
>>7549935 Totally. I've always wanted a 1:18 doughboy. The WW2 British buy is pretty close. I've always had a thing for the gas mask look which is probably why I gravitate toward things like SAS dudes, Mopp gear guys, Acid Rain etc
>>7549935>>7550693>I've always had a thing for the gas mask lookFellow men of taste, I see. I got this from a guy who wanted a more Russian-like appearance for his AR guys. Wish I could have gotten more of them.
>>7550741That's a fantastic picture. Looks like a 1/6 hot toys. What is the potato masher from? The ones from Marauder have really thin sticks.
>>7550741I want that head. In other news, the Rescue Laurel literally just arrived at my door
Anyone know where I can find some vehicle-sized decals of the Cobra logo? I just ordered a couple of these and want to give them a black paint job and make them my main Cobra mobile armor.
>>7550968cobrastickers? https://toyhax.com/113-labels-for-joe I know there's few other small sellers that do repros but can't tell about their quality.
>>7550979https://www.ebay.com/str/Bad-Mother-Customs or you can check them out on facebook .
>>7550829>What is the potato masher from? The ones from Marauder have really thin sticks.Yeah, the Marauder ones are practically useless. Pretty sure this one is from Unimax's Forces of Valor line. I've got maybe half-a-dozen stielhandgranten variants between 21st Century, Hiya, Unimax and Dragon, and it's sometimes hard to keep up.>>7550895 >I want that headYeah, it was a cool mod. Here's to gas mask heads in the second Kickstarter.
>>7549163Early 80s video game graphics
I'm building some Cobra troopers on Marauders and I'm torn on helmets. The one on the right I think more closely resembles the traditional trooper helmets, but the left speaks to me for villainous guys.
>>7551200A helmet on a helmet? That would look silly anon.
>>7551208That's a great idea. Thanks, anon.
>>7551198I ordered this myself but to give to my current troopers to see how they look and possibly order more if I like it.
>>7551222I've been grabbing green ones for my OG13 Joes.
>>7551198left is actually the style of helmet they used for cobra troopers in the last movie.
>>7551233THAT'S why I've been thinking they look right even when I know they shouldn't.Thank you so much. This has been bothering me for like a month now.
I just got an email from bossfight about horses and 5 minutes later I'm down for two. I remember there was some kerfluffle about them but I was broke as hell at the time so I wasn't paying attention, did I fuck up? Also I haven't messed with the line since dragon priest guy, what else have they put out since that's a must-get?
>>7551198I use a mix of Left for my Cobra Troopers since >>7551233 Retaliation influenced me with that helmet.
>>75514752deep4me care to explain what's going on?Also they look fucking awesome with those helmets and goggles like their aesthetic just goes up 2 or 3 levels.
>>7551475Are those the GI Joe MEGA Marines?Heh. Get it?
>>7551509A guy actually converted a bunch of Mega figures to COBRA dudes and the original Joes. It's a pity that Mega is with Mattel.
the single LWH helmet came today actually with a bunch of other stuff. based or cringe? I think he looks too much like a SWAT guy, I don't know. sorry for the napkin background.
>>7551987they sent me this cool blue bandana thing and a battle axe with its sheath as a gift.
>>7551988I think it gives the Cobra trooper a chechen terrorist vibe. Much more menacing and, dare I say it, terrorific.
>>7551991In conclusion, the LWH helmet does not seem cool enough for cobra troopers, but the bandana does. Neither of them can be worn by the baldies, that is, 25th anniversary Cobra troopers, the most numerous type of trooper I have, which limits the possibilities.
>>7548370underated and well said
I ordered two of the harness webgear and boy was I not disappointed. They are in every way better than the hasbro issued ones, they are conected at the back which prevent them from wobbling around and have all these pegs to put pouches and stuff. Only thing is that the grenade loop was very hard to stick in there and it seems that the actual belt peg does not closes fully, I didn't try 100% I was just fooling around maybe you have to apply more pressure I don't know.
>>7552058The grenade loops are indeed the loosest fit. They recommend you glue everything in anyway.
>>7552072>>7552079>>7552083sadly I think this is the direction G.I. joe will go in the future (next movie)
>>7549405is this the fisher price loving family mansion?
>>7552623Its gi Joe versions of them, which is known and loved characters for a lot of people in this thread, anon was obviously just showing because its interesting. I think you and the thread will survive with a few non 1/18 pictures
>>7552930Exactly. I dunno if Joes *should* go this way but it would be cool to have them. Of course the problem is 1.Mega has shit distribution and advertising. 2. Mattel. (in that order.) >>7552623I know. But they are also G.I.Joes and thus related. I hope your jimmies aren't that rustled
>>7552930>>7552953>>7552072>>7552079>>7552083Very cool. I wouldn't mind having joes in that scale as well. There is plenty of room in my collection for little joes. But unless Hasbro buys Mega, there is no chance.
Fuck mega bloks and their shitty fucking quality. I come here for joes. You fucking cancer that isn't 1/18
Aww, yeah! Two MGR orders coming the next two days! Gonna have some fun then.
>>7553186That's what I like in this group. Tolerance.
>>7553467I just ordered a bit of stuff from them. Didn't know they are still backed up, the 12 day delay sucks but oh well.
>>7553567I think they're playing it safe. The two orders I have coming in I made about a week ago. And they'd given an email saying it would be 15 days before it shipped.
>>7553614I hope so. Im excited for my John wick
>>7553848I keep thinking I should get on e"just in case" you know?
First of my orders from MGR came in. Made five figures. Here's the Joes: Rock n Roll, Stalker, and Doc. Sadly they sent the wrong decal sheet so I don't have any of Doc's insignias.
>>7554595And here are the Cobras: Scrap Iron and some OC lady Cobra.
>>7554595>>7554600Sweet. I've wanted to do that to female body armor, was it a big hassle?
>>7554615Not at all, though the back looks a little shit because of where the peg holes are.
>>7554595I'm digging that Rock n Roll. Might borrow the recipe.>>7554600Pretty cool Scrap Iron and OG girl.Hows the bag on Doc? Been wanting to get one. Like how much stuff can you put inside and if it closes or stays open and how soft is the plastic etc. Also you should contact them about the stickers, they are pretty good at support.
>>7554695I contacted them. They messed up my very first order way back when and were a huge help with that. They're going to pack the right sheet into the next order(that hasn't already shipped). The bag's okay. It's about as wide as the magazine holsters and about three times longer. I might stick the tablet I ordered for him into it when that comes.
>>7547733Can any anons help me out? I want to get the Marauders Not-John Wick that I've seen posted a few times but I'm not sure. I assume it's the male suit body and then one of the male bearded heads, but I can't see one that looks specifically like Wick on there. Did I just miss it?
>>7555101Search "theodore" on their site. They don't have images of the head on there, but it's included with the one result you'll get. it's unofficial, so I think they're trying to avoid a lawsuit.
>>7555103Oh shit yes thanks a bunch anon, Bonus head haha.
>>7555131I think it comes with two other heads that aren't Wick. At least mine did.
>>7555133Yeah, the two sunglasses heads right?
I love seeing what people make with MGR stuff. My favorites that I’ve done are an operator, Chris Kyle, and an SAS guy
>>7555155That one in the middle looks an awful lot like this one youtuber's GI Joe OC that I've seen.
>>7555155what bodies are these? tan-green camo, "ambush ops" or another out of stock I don't see?
>>7555162Those look like they might be custom painted.
>>7555155>Chris KyleOh, cool! Does your figure lie about its accomplishments too?
>>7555168Yup. For the record I didn't set out to idolize him, I just made a guy who wound up looking a lot like Bradley Cooper from American Sniper.
>>7555162Its one of these bodies. can't really tell which though. https://www.marauderinc.com/product-p/mtf-a7000.htmhttps://www.marauderinc.com/product-p/mtf-j3000.htmShitty pictures, but I know because I really want it but for some reason they don't offer it without those sci-fi shin guards at the moment
>>7555184Man I wish Marauder would do tiger stripe camo so I can make my preferred Venom Snake. I stuck the bandana on the "ranger" head with brown hair and it looks so good.
Seeing how the models in Fortnite are reusing a lot of meshes, I'm starting to wonder if it'd be better to customize existing figures instead of waiting for Jazwares to maybe release certain characters some time in the future. There's a LOT of junk characters in this game.
>>7555173I didn't mean to sound accusatory, I just really like making fun of the people who idolize the guy when he was just a self-promoting shitbag. The dude in black looks amazing. That isn't a MTF gasmask I take it?
>>7555225Me too, that’s why I felt the need to separate myself from that crowd. The mask is from the Pit Commander from the movie line based on the first GI Joe movie. I like the body it cane with too but I wish it were green instead of blue. All I want is classic woodland BDU pattern.
>>7555300That would be sweet. Think it'll maybe show up in their Nam KS?
>>7555214Patience my friend, soon we will smell the napalm in the morning. Coming 1Q 2020
>>7555164they are weathered all around.
>>7555184seems our shady friend bought every one of them lolhttps://www.marauderinc.com/product-p/mtf-j3126.htm
Nothing like the classics
>>7555332>had this in my hands at retail>didn't buy because reasons.>too expensive now or impossible to findI did bought a chinese copy of the classified M-60 for $1 + shipping eventually which was about 40% of the reason I wanted this 3-pack. The other reasons were the bow, quiver and arrows, then the m-16 and lastly CLASSIFIED.
Who is this Chris Kyle you two are talking about?
>>7555223>overtakerlolol xd so fahnny joek
>>7555332The toys look great but my god, that art. Look at the faces!
>>7555431Man behind the American Sniper book/movie deal. Claimed to be this amazing sniper who did crazy things, turned out basically none of it was really true, was outed as a lying shitbag and subhuman clown. Unfortunately, thanks to the growing social media cancer, there are still a bunch of dumbass muppets who think he told the truth.
>>7555302Well, that Woodland pattern did appear until 1978 5 years after Vietnam, but sometimes MTF will threw extra things into a Kickstarter.
This set is $6 on Amazon right now, they are 1:18Look, I am glad these exist, I'm also glad they made the whole family in one go even if they went for seasons 1-3 instead of a more bald Al, I'm glad they are 9 POA, and I'm even glad they're on deep clearance so I can impulse buy them. But the fact it's 80% off a year later despite being a con exclusive is a sign that Funko should probably consider market interest before snapping up random licenses. Had they made just Al and promised the others if it sold, we'd not have the rest of them.
>>7555772They do have balljointed heads like modern Hasbro, and possibly full range universal joint shoulders, the YT reviewers didn't bother to really pose them well though. No accessories but at least Al & Bud have hands to hold things so you can finally have that "awful dad vs awful dad" Al vs Darth Vader lightsaber fight.....in hindsight, the Bundy's were nowhere near as dysfunctional as the Skywalkers.
Hory shit, my Asian TRU got these in. They might be replacing TRU Heroes with M&C stuff
It's M&C alright
But commissioned by TRU?
>>7555300>>7555302>>7555652We might get ERDL, which was a forerunner to woodland. Tigerstripe is probably a shoe in, with standard OG-107s or jungle fatigues with spray-painted black stripes sadly overlooked.
>>7555630What are you talking about. It's Stig in toy form. He looks cool and has added novelty.>>7555772Post pictures when you get them.
I've only been awake for like an hours and I just ordered two Retaliation movie HISS tanks off Amazon. Help me.
>>7555975why do you need them?
>>7555907>>7555909>>7555910Nice. Look if they got the chinese and russian jets(J-10 and Sukhoi-27) or any of the other hard to find playsets. The fence playset I don't know if it should be out, haven't seen them announced yet but they promoted it last year.
>>7555772I find it kinda surprising Funko hasn't had a go at Malcolm in the middle or Sopranos figures yet, I know those are kind of random but they're just what I was thinking of. I'd love me some Sopranos figures.
>>7556117Only if they make Tony and Bobby absolute units.
>>7556117I would like to see Community and Parks and Recreation figures.
Well, this is disappointing. Guess Low Light's gonna need to wait.
>>7556211Please pose him crouching with a gun. Like the normal leg up and the reverse leg with the knee on the ground.
>>7556240It's way harder to get him balanced like this than I would have expected
>>7556265Hilarious. Thank you.>Codename: "Crazylegs"
>>7556278>DONT MAKE FUN OF MY LEG! I CAN RUNS FAST WITH IT!
>>7556302>scooby-doo running noises.>>7556278There already is a Crazylegs
The order wasn't a complete disaster though. Snake came out pretty good, I think.>>7556326>his hope and optimism: gone
what is this? New powerteam or some other brand with similar molds?
>>7556384Those are the updated Power Team figures that have been available in China for years.
>>7556315I know which figure I want.
>>7556384 Got some of those wall sections and an aquarium background and my camera literally shredded itself last week. Camera guys say gears broken and sand damage (from a trip to the beach 8 months ago. I am a sad panda.
>>7556315Still debating doing a submachopper. i've got a spare black dragon and IM hover car.anyone recognize the pontoons?
>>7556121>Parks and RecreationMy mouth is watering at the prospect of a Rashida Jones action figure.
Are the heads on these 5poa drivers normal ball joints like other figures?
>>7556539If I recollect correctly, yes they are.
>>7556093That's the thing. I don't.
>>7556117Licenses aren't magically obtainable with a single phone call, nor always cheap.
>>7556539Reminds me of an AAT
>>7556615at least buy used plastic crack on ebay. Amazon prices are such a rip-off.
>>7556615Anon, you do need em. You just don't know it yet. I have a whole closet of Joe stuff that i "don't need" but nevertheless im happy i have em.
>>7556685Retaliation's HISS is honestly garbage, even if purchased very cheap- at $10 shipped they're okay fillers or vehicle builders but still a massive 12 steps back from the previous HISS. Cobra Commander is a good update to the Battle Armor concept wasted on a 5 POA figure with no gun. The treads are solid with small wheels, the guns are poor, the sticker sheet & instructions to place them are from the previous version so they don't even go on correctly, and the thing has a lean to it because of poor design & assembly that I could never straighten out.It show show little Hasbro gives a shit when they watered down the brand, and then refuse to take blame when GI Joe tanked through their own stupidity. Hasbro refusing to acknowledge their mistakes? Big surprise there! They'll blame it on the stores, the consumers, whatever, but never on themselves. For fuck's sake, those miniguns have flat ends! Even in the 80s we got more effort. Even the original 80s HISS, which also had fake treads, is still miles better than this chunk of shit- at least the design on that one is iconic. If you didn't know this was sold as a HISS you'd think ii was from Star Wars or Avatar or something, the only throwback it has are the shape of the treads.
>>7556329Nice. Im planning in getting the joy toy guy with the beard to make him venom snake from phantom pain
>>7556788I think it looks cool. Cooler than the original anyway.
>>7555953not mine but they fit the Kenner Star Wars vehicles just fine
>>7556117fuck Malcolm. We need Andy Griffith figures, something that people still care about. How has that never gotten merch? Not even a Pop! It'd sell better than Golden Girls.
>>7557777There are lots of old sitcoms and movies Funko could do that would sell better than some of the stuff they do make. I Love Lucy would be guaranteed money. Honeymooners, Leave It To Beaver, etc.Movies too. It's A Wonderful Life. Citizen Kane. To Kill A Mockingbird- no wait, probably not that, the boy was named "Jem" and Hasbro would flip their shit if a company slapped that name on a box even if TKAM predates that synth pop doll shit by 20 years. They didn't take kindly to DC making toys of their Bumblebee which predates TF BB by 10 years.
Fucking fuck fuck fuckity fuck!USPS lost my package. I ordered the Rise of Cobra Tunnel Rat/Monkey Wrench two pack because Tunnel Rat's cool and the other one's head was perfect for my custom. I'm getting a refund but the next cheapest available one is like $50 more! Fuck I hate USPS!
>>7549288what did you use for the wick body?
>>7556211Could you not put the leg in boiled water and pope the top knee pi out and turn the knee around and pop the pin back in?
>>7559368Black with green Marauders body with the right elbow and forearm of a Cobra BAT.>>7559523The sculpt would still hinder the articulation and the foot is a right foot. I can't have two figures with two right feet. Also, they packed a replacement leg into my next order so it's all squared away now.
What's the best way to make weapon straps for this scale?
>>7547733The shoulders are universal hinge joints, which is more than anyone probably expected. Al & Bud can hold things but Al's hands are painted so they'll likely chip with little effort. Paints are mostly decent, but while Peg & Kelly have proper eyes with black outlines, Al & Bud just get white with iris dots so they look sloppier. The peg hole sin the feet look to be the same size as vintage Kenner SW, so Star Stands should work. The only one I couldn't stand on its own was Kelly, her foot was warped from the package, I will need to heat and straighten it. Easily worth $6 for the set if you like the show, but good luck getting a 1:18 couch, only cheap ones I can find are 1:12 and any Dodge of reasonable body type I saw on eBay is fairly expensive and would need painting.
was browsing the archive to look at pics of this guy because they are amazing and this caugth my attention... how the hell did he made those little quick release buckles in the backpack? Seeing the thing more closely it looks like it has a working zipper, so I guess it is one of those tiny bags for kids to put their coins. The buckles I doubt are functional but they look cool nonetheless.
>>7548131What is it specifically that makes you so eager, even desperate, to broadcast what an uninformed dolt you are loudly and in public spaces?
>>7559180And then I got ebay sniped for Monkey Wrench, too!
>>7560805Fine. I'll just buy an Outback and paint his hair and beard!
>>7560132>good luck getting a 1:18 couchMaking a 1/18 couch is a pretty easy DIY project you can do on a rainy afternoon. Just use:*Thin cardboard as a base for the bottom & back.*New sponges or foam scrap for the sides & cushions.*Thin remnant fabric to cover everything.*Hot glue or fabric glue.Just cut everything to 1:18 scale size, attach the cardboard bottom to the back & sides, and wrap all the outside surfaces in fabric. Assemble. Done!
>>7560805Shit, man, I kind of want to send you mine. You're having some lousy luck.
>>7560853Haha. Right? But I just grabbed a used Outback pretty cheaply so I'll just try drybrushing his hair brown.
>>7560841>>that couch in progressQT!

When the hell is Planet Green Valley dropping? My BBTS order is close to ship date and the first ones are supposed to drop during May...Also, anyone have any leads on where to still buy the blank body? I want the spare clothing options, but missed out on the preorder...pretty much everywhere, it looks like.
>>7561148>When the hell is Planet Green Valley dropping? My BBTS order is close to ship date and the first ones are supposed to drop during May...The guy running it isn't settling for anything subpar so he's made the factory tweak lots of things to make them better.
>>7561153>>7561154>>7561158The new ones do look better, but the under-eye wash is making them look a little stoned. Oh well, glad to hear he's striving for the best quality at least. And I guess this means there's no way they'll make it in time, so I should probably just ship my pile of loot.
>>7561161he's also planning a basic line with no accessories
>>7561163That's actually a pretty good idea and desu I'd buy everyone of those.
>>7561163That's cool. I hope he reissues the blank body, cause it seems to be a popular seller, and like I said, I want all the clothing options for mixing and matching.
>>7561163Neat!Again, where I can buy those?
>>7561199He's only selling the basics at shows for the immediate future I think.
>>7561160I'm surprised he's molding the gun as one piece, but i guess some corners gotta be cut.Still looks great though.I forget, but isn't Boss Fight releasing them in the US or is it someone else?
>>7561252DioWarriors accepted preorders as well. If either them ordered extra to sell beyond that, I can't say.>>7561163See, I'm all about these. I didn't need any of the kit in the first place.
>>7560764Great, now I'm gonna have to start looking for this type of shit.
I know vintage Joes are a little smaller than 1:18, but I figure I'll ask anyway. Does anyone here know where I can find a glass, preferably a tumbler, for this guy? I just saw him and think he looks like Julian from Trailer Park Boys.
>>7560764Looks like Shady War’s stuff. I actually have a pack he made. It seems he stitched together bits from 1/6 stuff. Like sew the straps from a pistol holster on an ammo pouch to make a 1/18 backpack or something like that. He lurks around here so maybe he’ll pop up and tell us.
Does anyone know where this guy is from? Got him for $1 at a flea market. I also got that warthog for $8, I know its fuckhuge for 1:18 but for the price its cool
>>7561847That's Ace. Came with the retooled 30th anniversary Skystriker. Major difference was that it is single seat as opposed to the two-seated vintage one.
>>7560841This might be easiest as finding an exact match for the TV couch is likely to be impossible at any scale. A similar fabric should be easy to get.
>>7549163marauders sells sticker sheets for tablet screensI reccomend those
>>7561148Word. These and the HACKs horses are at the top of my "why the fuck don't I have this in-hand yet" list.
>>7562089Same my man
>>7559180 Postal delivery services really don't seem to give a fuck sometimes. With my Gun Runners orders I have seen them travel all over the continental US (including places along the Mexican border before coming up to me in Canada. I don't fucking get it. I'm also in an apartment and the number of times they have delivered my shit to the buzzcode number rather than the apartment number - insane.
>>7560841That's more work than a lot of people would go to to do that rather than picking up some doll furniture.. But it looks hella comfy. This place is about 1/2 and hour from my house and it's pricey but the stuff they sell is crazy - especially the lighting. Most of the stuff is 1/24 - which is at least close http://www.thelittledollhousecompany.com/dollhouses-miniatures-furniture-kits/index.php?main_page=advanced_search&keyword=1%2F18&search_in_description=1&inc_subcat=1&sort=3a
>>7561148They had a bunch of eye/face issues and are getting the factory to re do a bunch of stuff.
>>7561163That I didn't know...civvies
>>7560764That looks like 3A Action Portable clips to me. It's probably like a 1/12 hip pouch or something repurposed as a 1/18 backpack.
>>7562909>>7561454you're right, a higher scale pouch sounds more plausible. I know it is Shady's, I searched specifically for his name.
Has anyone used Bruder vehicles for their guys?
>>7564264this looks like a bruder but I'm not 100% sure. Look for user name "shady" in the archive.
>>7564479I'll take a look, thanks. I saw a youtube video on them. They're 1:16 it seems and they don't all fit figures or they're just too large. But some of them look like they'd be great for some custom stuff.
>>7561424Didn't his mum appear in one episode to scold him?
My squad of weirdos is coming together pretty well. Need to get a driver and an apc next.
>>7564959Neat! Can you snap a better pic of the guy in black?
>>7564960Sure. The first guy I made was a falcon head on that all black body. I got the marauder head to test out. Decided I liked the falcon head better and moved it onto the red and black body.I ended up getting the hat as an extra and kind of threw this guy together. Back pack and shot gun were black ops falcon. He's supposed to be this kind of war time burglar who helps out as long as he can steal shit along the way. Given that he just kind of fell together I really like how he turned out.
The stuff for my Scarlett and Snow Job came in! As did the shiny new LEFT leg for Low Light(Formerly Crazy Leg)
>>7564971I really dig the simplicity of his design and his backstory's pretty neat.
>>7564978Thanks Anon, at some point I may get the all black body sans the shin armor as I don't think that fits for a burglar turned begrudging mercenary. I may also sculpt either a goatee or mustache onto him.
>>7564971fucking lol'd at the backstory. Nice stuff.
How well do modern 1:18 figures hold vintage Joe weapons? I grabbed this off ebay for one of my Marauders guys.
>>7565426What figures? Can't see em.
>>7566784I am elemental with modified legs
>>7566550Pretty well. I purchased the same thing. Love that grenade launcher.
>>7549387that's sadmy 50th cc is good
>>7556539Yes, they're like the current 5poa Star Wars figures, with swivel limbs and ball jointed heads.
Hey guys, wave 1 of the Fortnite figures is on sale at Target. The basic figs are $8 each and the early game survival set with Omega is $12. It seems that the easiest to find is Teknique, which I don’t personally own, but I’ve heard she’s one of the best of the wave in terms of articulation.
Hey, does anyone know if this guy comes with one of the drop pod things that since if the joy toy figures come with? It doesn't say that it does on bbts, but neither does the other ones that im pretty sure do have them
>>7567855I watched this and it doesn't look like ithttps://youtu.be/CQEePGdvDXU

Is there a 1/18 version of Ant Man?
>>7568543Comic version? Yes many releases in carious forms.Movie version? Yes and he came with a rideable giant ant.
>all the cheap Married With Children sets on Amazon are sold outWow, /toy/ picked them clean, didn't they?
>>7568543>>7568551There was also a con exclusive comic version that came in a lab coat for doing SCIENCE.
>>7568551Fuck I gotta get this for my girlfriend... does his helmet come off?
>>7568695No and the ant's legs pop out easily from their ball joints, it can't hold its own weight
>>7555772It's 19 bucks on Amazon for me. I guess the clearance sale ended. The Golden Girls set is almost a thousand dollars now, holy christ.
Meanwhile Unslain KS is now live.
>>7569624They're charging shipping on top of KS pledge? I've never seen it work that way.
>>7569632It's usually like that actually (I think only 4H don't) . You have the pledge prices then when you actually click to pledge for the items they'll add a shipping cost at the end there. At least that's how it's been for the last few KS I've pledged to.
>>75696784H is actually the only KS I've ever done, so go figure. And I see how it's done now. I thought it was something like I'd have to figure that shit out later on my own. Anyway, I pledged for one and an add on.
>>7569632These figure are around 22$ so pretty cheap to expect shipping is included
>>7569624On the one hand I want to support 1:18 stuff but on the other hand. I have no interest in any of the Unslain stuff that I've seen.
>>7570374I'm old enough to remember Don't Ask Me.
>>7569624>Trux>Atrox>Ferox>Ferus>Efferus>Torvus>Magnus>The Agrius>Fectus>AriusWhat's up with those names, though?
>>7570654I guess in that world names in whatever region these guys live have names that end in similar suffixes, with -us or -ius being the most common, apparently followed by -ox or -uxAnyways, I quite like the look of these guys. I wish there were a few more unique weapons for the named characters though. There seems to at least be paint differences (like the Asian looking fellow's sword (in the prototype) has a red hilt, though his render doesnt show this). I'll probably go in on a few, but I don't think I'll need everyone (and I never feel too happy whenever I do an all in on a KS anyways, there's just too many all at once, maybe...). The long tabard also seems very overused in the stretch goals. And it's also cool to be able to support fellow Canadians. 30 bucks is a fair bit (price of an ML or Lightning Collection and the rest of those here) but it's for a niche product after all. Good luck to them.
>>7570748>>7570654>>7569624Does anyone actually care about the lore for this or other 1:18 lines? I look at them and think 'hey those are some cool looking figures' and not once do I wonder what their backstories are. Vitruvian HACKS are up there too. The whole "time travellers visiting fantasy Greece and screwing up the timeline so bad there's medieval fantasy now' feels so unneeded. Especially since they didn't even bother to make figures for the time travellers or the titular Vitruvian time ship.
>>7570807It sometimes helps to create a bit of connection with the characters, as stories do for characters in general. But of course using them for your own purposes/stories/however you play with your toys is all good as well. And there's no harm in introducing some lore for those who enjoy it.The Unslain here seems to have a really minimalistic story, with a bit of background and some obvious "these guys are good and these guys are bad", with simple descriptions for the characters that give a general sense of their talents. Like, Trux is strong, Atrox is a leader and a strategist, etc.
Finished my squad of Cobra guys!Is that one anon with all the different 1:18 lines around? I was wondering how hard it is to put Marvel heads onto other bodies.
>>7571028Yo. Its not hard but you usually have to do minor modifications. You either have to make the hole in the head bigger or use something to make the neck peg fit more snug. If you have a head and body you are thinking of combining let me know and i can try it for you and take pics.
>>7571028Nice Cobra squad BTW. Looks great.
>>7571028looks like a bunch of hard bois... The woman looks pretty much like an Alley Viper to lead em as well. (maybe sling a shield on her back? )
>>7571115I grabbed a Valkyrie and Shana in Hope's of making a couple of my hacks Amazon's better looking. Valkyrie showed up today and I already see her peg hole is very small and at least doesn't fit on a marauders lady. Also ordered a Steve Roger's Cap since I've ended up with a whole marauders body after making a Flint.
Imperial Tank is on sale at BBTS for 35 today. I'm ordering it when I get home. Thanks to which ever anon posted pictures of their's awhile back.
>>7571384Man they just can not get rid of that thing, huh? This is like the fourth time I've seen them put it on sale
>>7571391It was on sale for memorial day for like 45 and I held off. Glad I did.
>>7571398It's tempting me greatly, but I know that a few hundred dollars of preorders are coming in so I'm just not going to risk dropping any more cash, even on something that's this much of a steal.
>>7567390I have her very solid figure, excellent paint job, a tad shorter but thicker than new Gi Joes, the hood isn't attached to anything and she only comes with some paint roller, but she has no problem holding guns from Joes or Corps guys.
Is there any place I can get a rundown on the world-building for those Dark Source figures?
>>7572306it's like Acid Rain, but chinese.
>>7572310Acid Rain is from Hong Kong....
>>7572324And Dark Sauce is from mainland where it's chinese-er
>>7568821>The Golden Girls set is almost a thousand dollars nowHow? This seems like a toy license no one asked for. I'm certain 98% of the target audience of that show passed on years ago.
>>7572345Golden Girls is pretty timeless.
When it comes to those ReAction figures what's the head swap compatibility with other lines like GI Joe, MGR, and BFS?
>>7572530Non-existent without cutting and dremmelling. Their heads are a verticle mushroom peg that goes into the body whereas those other lines are heads that rest on a ball peg.
>>7555162>>7555184Yeah I can't remember what they are called, MTF has some weird naming conventions! but yeah I wanted to pick a coupe more up to make army customs (the 6 i had a few years ago are long gone now - Sold for a stupidly low price when I should have kept hold of them) but they don't seem to be in stock anywhere.>>7555324Yup that's the one, need more restocks desuSome shots I've taken recently - mixing Acid rain, bossfight, zombie lab and mtf (to name a few lol)
>>7560764wew lad blast from the past! I can confirm what other have said - the pack was from a 1/12 3A grunt dude that I glued some arm loops in for 4" figures. the bag unzipped and had multiple storage places for random 1/18 gear like guns and survival stuff I had in my fodder box. the clips on the side didnt unbuckle as such but you could make the loop shorter or longer so they were very functional for holding guns and tools.I had a red one I made too but when those were not available - 1/6 ammo pouches made perfect little packs - you just needed to use the molle strips to make arm loops and you were good to go!
>>7574072the molle holes were great for little things storage like flashlights or knives or somethingAnyway - some Acid Rainy stuff
"Can't save em all Doc"
More mixing MTF and ARW
>>7572533Exactly what I was afraid of >>7572310>>7572324>>7572326Literally almost spit my coffee out LOLing to this>>7574072Good to see the ARW OG back!
>>7574674Eh a little bit of chopping and drilling never hurt anybody.
>>7574703I've never done it. Anyone wanna save me some research and point me in the right direction as far as a how-to goes?
>>7547733just bought pic related, trying to flip cab open but it dosent seen to work. do you guys have anyway i can fix this?
>>7571267Update: Valkyrie and Shana heads rest on Hacks bodies well enough, so I may grab up some sticky tack for pictures, and Cap's head fits on Marauders' pegs perfectly, but he ends up with no neck.
>>7575602It can only be open when the neck is raised up. It was a terrible HiSS tank
>>7575553There's a wiki about customs over at joecustoms that covers most of what you can do to joes to modify them. It might be a bit outdated but it can give you some ideas.
>>7575959Just found out how, only bought it because I had it as a kid. What's the best hiss tank then?
>>7576410For me, it's
Got some work done on some custom shit today. Finally got around to painting my d&d character's hair and also got my brunette Outback head too!
>>7576517I'm so happy that my dude, Wildcard, is finally finished!
>>7576517Awesome looking character.>>7576546That's a big gun.
>>7576422that looks awesome, how much stuff can you pack inside? looking for a tank with good cargo space
>>7576603It has a container for the figure that goes in the missile turret that takes a lot of space in the cargo area, I have seen some fellow here that trimmed the "basket" to get some space back, I myself sometimes remove the turret and put a PTE humvee hatch, they fit almost perfectly. The newest up-armored Bbi humvee (licensed by sunny days) turret also fits quite snuggly. The figure is lwft hanging inside however. With out the turret, you can sit 3 figures on each side plus one on the back contiguous to the cockpit. With the turret, you can barely put two per side. The side lids can also be removed fairly easy so as to have a barebones cargo HISS.Overall I like its sleek design, the paint apps and cargo area over any other HISS out there.
The flak bike is legit my favorite ARW release yet.
>>7576789It adds some much welcomed variety. For a while all they were putting out were Laurels
>>7576789Yeah, I dig it. Can't wait to get the trailer and a couple of those "bunkers"
>>7576990Yeah, this feels more like the speeder and the stronghold, chunky industrial war machines, which were the whole reason I fell in love with the line. I was getting tired of just figures and laurels.>>7577001I might offload some of my stuff and pick up the trailer and those bunkers. I'm not really feeling the Omangans anyway; I'd rather just have gas mask guys.
Any good 1:18 scale animals to give Joes some old school style pets?
>>7577111The marauders dogs are really good. And bossfight has horses coming out
thoughts?Made by the chinks that do dark source. JoyToy I think is the name.
>>7578392I don't care about these more accurate modern military figures.
>>7578392They look good and I'll be ordering at least one set me thinks.
>>7578392All I've ever wanted from anyone is a regular ass Army dude. Not a weird GI Joe colors, not some futuristic or fantasy shit (although I still eat it up)The very top of my wishlist is a decent realistic 1/18 dude in ACUs, BDUs, or MARPAT. Those OurWar figures were trash

>>7578392Modern warfare operator stuff isn't my thing. Just feels kind of boring.
