Yet

That's the WW2 kickstarter that's already been paid for by the customers. SO Marauder is going to have to eat this extra cost .

Bodes ill for this scale and the small companies that provide us with them.

>Trump is fucking the country in the ass yet again so he can support his ego and pretends he cares about a nation that he uses

This shit's going to be a small portion of how bad things are about to get. I bet prices raise on damn near everything, just so a racist can feel good he stuck it to Asians or something.

Supposedly the tabletop gaming industry is borked as well

If you think the chinese aren't racist then you have another thing coming. A country needs to bring in money from the outside in order to flourish. It does that by exporting goods and attracting tourists. This has the additional benefit of the country being well-received and influencial.
After WW2 America exported it's culture. It brought countries under US influence without any of the cons of waging war, and the people climbed over eachother to give their money for US products. That was the time when it was profitable to sell America Fuck Yeah army men to children across the globe.
Then America dug it's own grave by 1) doing world policing, 2) by moving it's industry out of the country, 3) and by producing low quality culture.

1) World policing is obvious. Nobody likes a bully.
2) People want TFs. Hasbro sells TFs. Hasbro commissions chinese factories. The money goes to China. Hasbro uses the profits to maintain it's few offices in the US and commissions more chinese factories.
3) Current shows, movies, social developments etc exported from the States suck. They're unwatchable. They're neither endearing America to the public nor compelling it to spend money on "American" products. Nerds nowadays are blowing money on anime while the normies were waiting for Endgame to stop watching MCU.

As a third world euro I'm seeing America, a country that used to be awesome, treading an all too familiar path to destruction. Seeing adult americans being outraged at the prospect of having to pay more for luxuries and nonsense such as fucking toys, I don't know whether to laugh at you or spit at you.
At least you aren't importing your own food and most of your fuel, so the essentials won't become too expensive.
tl:dr you are spoiled, short-sighted brat
>>
How’s about everyone shuts the fuck up about how much Trump, China, and tariffs all suck and just focus on toys. Toys are fun. Politics aren’t.

It's okay. The American people are desparate for jobs and have been fed enough bullshit that I think they'll be able to start opening sweatshops here soon enough!

It's probably the best action figure line coming from outside Japan atm, but you'll have to put some work into them to get the most out of them. The ratchet joints are a con imo. Carbide doesn't have his upgraded helmet. The future waves will be utilizing a lot of repaints.

>>7548755

Man, I wish I could buy Raven on his own.

Really cool set. Wave 2 is even better than wave 1, that's quite rare!

I wouldn't say that (because of the bigger size line, which shall not be discussed here), but it's definitely the best playline currently.

God damn I'm still salty! I got the 50'th anniversary Shipwreck/CC two pack yesterday and the Cobra Commander is shit. He's got two right feet and his left hand was so stuck with paint that I sheared it off the peg trying to rotate it! Yeah the 50th ann figures had some of the most shit quality overall. I had an Iron grenadier with two of the same hands and the paint app on the dock flint and leatherneck was disgusting, as in they got a 3yo to paint the flesh tone over the whateverthefuck plastic they molded their forearms color was.
>>
>>7549484
Luckily the Shipwreck is fucking great. The head sculpt on my 50'th Snowjob is pretty good too so I'm just waiting on an order of MTF parts to give him a more useful body than the shitty bulky winter jacket they gave him. I had to replace my Baroness's head with a 25'th's because that paint job made her look like she had legitimate down's.

Yeah, the Marauder ones are practically useless. Pretty sure this one is from Unimax's Forces of Valor line. I've got maybe half-a-dozen stielhandgranten variants between 21st Century, Hiya, Unimax and Dragon, and it's sometimes hard to keep up.

I ordered two of the harness webgear and boy was I not disappointed. They are in every way better than the hasbro issued ones, they are conected at the back which prevent them from wobbling around and have all these pegs to put pouches and stuff. Only thing is that the grenade loop was very hard to stick in there and it seems that the actual belt peg does not closes fully, I didn't try 100% I was just fooling around maybe you have to apply more pressure I don't know.

Claimed to be this amazing sniper who did crazy things, turned out basically none of it was really true, was outed as a lying shitbag and subhuman clown. Unfortunately, thanks to the growing social media cancer, there are still a bunch of dumbass muppets who think he told the truth.

This set is $6 on Amazon right now, they are 1:18

Look, I am glad these exist, I'm also glad they made the whole family in one go even if they went for seasons 1-3 instead of a more bald Al, I'm glad they are 9 POA, and I'm even glad they're on deep clearance so I can impulse buy them. But the fact it's 80% off a year later despite being a con exclusive is a sign that Funko should probably consider market interest before snapping up random licenses. Had they made just Al and promised the others if it sold, we'd not have the rest of them.
>>
>>7555772
They do have balljointed heads like modern Hasbro, and possibly full range universal joint shoulders, the YT reviewers didn't bother to really pose them well though. No accessories but at least Al & Bud have hands to hold things so you can finally have that "awful dad vs awful dad" Al vs Darth Vader lightsaber fight.

....in hindsight, the Bundy's were nowhere near as dysfunctional as the Skywalkers.

Retaliation's HISS is honestly garbage, even if purchased very cheap- at $10 shipped they're okay fillers or vehicle builders but still a massive 12 steps back from the previous HISS. Cobra Commander is a good update to the Battle Armor concept wasted on a 5 POA figure with no gun. The treads are solid with small wheels, the guns are poor, the sticker sheet & instructions to place them are from the previous version so they don't even go on correctly, and the thing has a lean to it because of poor design & assembly that I could never straighten out.

It show show little Hasbro gives a shit when they watered down the brand, and then refuse to take blame when GI Joe tanked through their own stupidity. Hasbro refusing to acknowledge their mistakes? Big surprise there! They'll blame it on the stores, the consumers, whatever, but never on themselves.

For fuck's sake, those miniguns have flat ends! Even in the 80s we got more effort. Even the original 80s HISS, which also had fake treads, is still miles better than this chunk of shit- at least the design on that one is iconic. If you didn't know this was sold as a HISS you'd think ii was from Star Wars or Avatar or something, the only throwback it has are the shape of the treads.

There are lots of old sitcoms and movies Funko could do that would sell better than some of the stuff they do make. I Love Lucy would be guaranteed money. Honeymooners, Leave It To Beaver, etc.

Movies too. It's A Wonderful Life. Citizen Kane. To Kill A Mockingbird- no wait, probably not that, the boy was named "Jem" and Hasbro would flip their shit if a company slapped that name on a box even if TKAM predates that synth pop doll shit by 20 years. They didn't take kindly to DC making toys of their Bumblebee which predates TF BB by 10 years.

The shoulders are universal hinge joints, which is more than anyone probably expected. Al & Bud can hold things but Al's hands are painted so they'll likely chip with little effort. Paints are mostly decent, but while Peg & Kelly have proper eyes with black outlines, Al & Bud just get white with iris dots so they look sloppier. The peg hole sin the feet look to be the same size as vintage Kenner SW, so Star Stands should work. The only one I couldn't stand on its own was Kelly, her foot was warped from the package, I will need to heat and straighten it. Easily worth $6 for the set if you like the show, but good luck getting a 1:18 couch, only cheap ones I can find are 1:12 and any Dodge of reasonable body type I saw on eBay is fairly expensive and would need painting.

>good luck getting a 1:18 couch

Making a 1/18 couch is a pretty easy DIY project you can do on a rainy afternoon. Just use:
*Thin cardboard as a base for the bottom & back.
*New sponges or foam scrap for the sides & cushions.
*Thin remnant fabric to cover everything.
*Hot glue or fabric glue.

Just cut everything to 1:18 scale size, attach the cardboard bottom to the back & sides, and wrap all the outside surfaces in fabric. Assemble. Done!

I ended up getting the hat as an extra and kind of threw this guy together. Back pack and shot gun were black ops falcon. I guess in that world names in whatever region these guys live have names that end in similar suffixes, with -us or -ius being the most common, apparently followed by -ox or -ux

Anyways, I quite like the look of these guys. I wish there were a few more unique weapons for the named characters though. There seems to at least be paint differences (like the Asian looking fellow's sword (in the prototype) has a red hilt, though his render doesnt show this). I'll probably go in on a few, but I don't think I'll need everyone (and I never feel too happy whenever I do an all in on a KS anyways, there's just too many all at once, maybe...). The long tabard also seems very overused in the stretch goals.

And it's also cool to be able to support fellow Canadians. 30 bucks is a fair bit (price of an ML or Lightning Collection and the rest of those here) but it's for a niche product after all. Good luck to them.

Does anyone actually care about the lore for this or other 1:18 lines? I look at them and think 'hey those are some cool looking figures' and not once do I wonder what their backstories are. Vitruvian HACKS are up there too. The whole "time travellers visiting fantasy Greece and screwing up the timeline so bad there's medieval fantasy now' feels so unneeded. Especially since they didn't even bother to make figures for the time travellers or the titular Vitruvian time ship.
>>
>>7570807
It sometimes helps to create a bit of connection with the characters, as stories do for characters in general. But of course using them for your own purposes/stories/however you play with your toys is all good as well. And there's no harm in introducing some lore for those who enjoy it.

The Unslain here seems to have a really minimalistic story, with a bit of background and some obvious "these guys are good and these guys are bad", with simple descriptions for the characters that give a general sense of their talents. Like, Trux is strong, Atrox is a leader and a strategist, etc.

Yo. Its not hard but you usually have to do minor modifications. You either have to make the hole in the head bigger or use something to make the neck peg fit more snug. If you have a head and body you are thinking of combining let me know and i can try it for you and take pics.
>>
>>7571028
Nice Cobra squad BTW. Looks great.
>>
>>7571028
looks like a bunch of hard bois...
The woman looks pretty much like an Alley Viper to lead em as well. (maybe sling a shield on her back? )
>>
>>7571115
I grabbed a Valkyrie and Shana in Hope's of making a couple of my hacks Amazon's better looking. Valkyrie showed up today and I already see her peg hole is very small and at least doesn't fit on a marauders lady. Also ordered a Steve Roger's Cap since I've ended up with a whole marauders body after making a Flint.

Imperial Tank is on sale at BBTS for 35 today. I'm ordering it when I get home. Thanks to which ever anon posted pictures of their's awhile back.
>>
>>7571384
Man they just can not get rid of that thing, huh? This is like the fourth time I've seen them put it on sale
>>
>>7571391
It was on sale for memorial day for like 45 and I held off. Glad I did.
>>
>>7571398
It's tempting me greatly, but I know that a few hundred dollars of preorders are coming in so I'm just not going to risk dropping any more cash, even on something that's this much of a steal.
>>
>>7567390
I have her very solid figure, excellent paint job, a tad shorter but thicker than new Gi Joes, the hood isn't attached to anything and she only comes with some paint roller, but she has no problem holding guns from Joes or Corps guys.
>>
Is there any place I can get a rundown on the world-building for those Dark Source figures?
>>
>>7572306
it's like Acid Rain, but chinese.
>>
>>7572310
Acid Rain is from Hong Kong....
>>
>>7572324
And Dark Sauce is from mainland where it's chinese-er
>>
>>7568821
>The Golden Girls set is almost a thousand dollars now

How? This seems like a toy license no one asked for. I'm certain 98% of the target audience of that show passed on years ago.
>>
>>7572326
>chinese-er
Kek
>>
>>7572345
Golden Girls is pretty timeless.
>>
When it comes to those ReAction figures what's the head swap compatibility with other lines like GI Joe, MGR, and BFS?
>>
>>7572530
Non-existent without cutting and dremmelling. Their heads are a verticle mushroom peg that goes into the body whereas those other lines are heads that rest on a ball peg.

Yeah I can't remember what they are called, MTF has some weird naming conventions! but yeah I wanted to pick a coupe more up to make army customs (the 6 i had a few years ago are long gone now - Sold for a stupidly low price when I should have kept hold of them) but they don't seem to be in stock anywhere.

>>7555324
Yup that's the one, need more restocks desu

Some shots I've taken recently - mixing Acid rain, bossfight, zombie lab and mtf (to name a few lol)

wew lad blast from the past! I can confirm what other have said - the pack was from a 1/12 3A grunt dude that I glued some arm loops in for 4" figures. the bag unzipped and had multiple storage places for random 1/18 gear like guns and survival stuff I had in my fodder box. the clips on the side didnt unbuckle as such but you could make the loop shorter or longer so they were very functional for holding guns and tools.

I had a red one I made too but when those were not available - 1/6 ammo pouches made perfect little packs - you just needed to use the molle strips to make arm loops and you were good to go!
>>
>>7574072
the molle holes were great for little things storage like flashlights or knives or something

Anyway - some Acid Rainy stuff

Eh a little bit of chopping and drilling never hurt anybody.
>>

I've never done it. Anyone wanna save me some research and point me in the right direction as far as a how-to goes?

just bought pic related, trying to flip cab open but it dosent seen to work. do you guys have anyway i can fix this?
>>
>>7571267
Update: Valkyrie and Shana heads rest on Hacks bodies well enough, so I may grab up some sticky tack for pictures, and Cap's head fits on Marauders' pegs perfectly, but he ends up with no neck.
>>
>>7575602
It can only be open when the neck is raised up. It was a terrible HiSS tank
>>
>>7575553
There's a wiki about customs over at joecustoms that covers most of what you can do to joes to modify them. It might be a bit outdated but it can give you some ideas.
>>
>>7575959
Just found out how, only bought it because I had it as a kid. What's the best hiss tank then?

>>7576410
For me, it's

It has a container for the figure that goes in the missile turret that takes a lot of space in the cargo area, I have seen some fellow here that trimmed the "basket" to get some space back, I myself sometimes remove the turret and put a PTE humvee hatch, they fit almost perfectly. The newest up-armored Bbi humvee (licensed by sunny days) turret also fits quite snuggly. The figure is lwft hanging inside however.

With out the turret, you can sit 3 figures on each side plus one on the back contiguous to the cockpit. With the turret, you can barely put two per side. The side lids can also be removed fairly easy so as to have a barebones cargo HISS.

Overall I like its sleek design, the paint apps and cargo area over any other HISS out there.

The flak bike is legit my favorite ARW release yet.
>>
>>7576789
It adds some much welcomed variety. For a while all they were putting out were Laurels
>>
>>7576789
Yeah, I dig it. Can't wait to get the trailer and a couple of those "bunkers"
>>
>>7576990
Yeah, this feels more like the speeder and the stronghold, chunky industrial war machines, which were the whole reason I fell in love with the line. I was getting tired of just figures and laurels.

>>7577001
I might offload some of my stuff and pick up the trailer and those bunkers. I'm not really feeling the Omangans anyway; I'd rather just have gas mask guys.
>>
Any good 1:18 scale animals to give Joes some old school style pets?
>>
>>7577111
The marauders dogs are really good. And bossfight has horses coming out
>>
thoughts?

Made by the chinks that do dark source. JoyToy I think is the name.
>>
>>7578392
I don't care about these more accurate modern military figures.
>>
>>7578392
They look good and I'll be ordering at least one set me thinks.
>>
>>7578392
All I've ever wanted from anyone is a regular ass Army dude. Not a weird GI Joe colors, not some futuristic or fantasy shit (although I still eat it up)

The very top of my wishlist is a decent realistic 1/18 dude in ACUs, BDUs, or MARPAT. Those OurWar figures were trash
>>
>>7578392
Aren't these guys 1/24?
>>
>>7577111
>>7577129

Also, Marauders makes the best bois
>>
>>7578698
no, 1/18.

$80 + shipping for the whole team over at BBTS.
>>
>>7578392
Modern warfare operator stuff isn't my thing. Just feels kind of boring.
>>
>>7578725
61 bucks shipped from lockertoys
>>
>>7578972
nice
>>
>>7579111
It ended up being $63 after checking out. Not bad. 12.6 per figure. Hopefully the figures are decent.
