This thread won't last long because (reasonably) I don't think anyone really hard core collects them, but can we talk about how fucking based Imaginext is? Like every now and then I'll see a new set of blind bags in store and I can't help myself. This is the best little pocket Grim Reaper I could ask for; he can even hold his scythe two-handed. I would lose my mind for this line if I was a kid. A billion different properties and lines all in the same scale with interchangeable accessories and new sculpts for everythings, they're what every line of kids toys should aspire to.
I wish I got them in Australia. You can get a bag of 20 or so from aliexpress but they have no accessories and a bunch of defects.
>>7542793Imaginext is dope but I can never seem to find it in stores. I really wanted that last blindbag wave, the homage-heavy one, but never saw it even once.
>>7542796I wish the good mattel shit like Imaginext and Mega Construx are available outside america. Only the shit mattel shit like hotwheels and DC movie tie-ins are available worldwide.
>>7542809we get the DC stuff and the power rangers stuff and thats about it. Back when imaginext was all about the modular building we got all of them too. I had the whole castle set and a kickass giant that wore a basket to stick people in. I really wanted the crazy egypt stuff, its not fair.
>>7542798Series 11? I'll probably just breakdown and ebay it eventually.
>>7542813>Mattel homages a Hasbro product far better than even Hasbro would bother to do soHilarious!
>>7542813what are the homages? All i know is M.U.S.C.L.E.
Classic imaginext gang rise up
>>7542827Well, it's really just 3/6 are homages:>MUSCLE>Battle Beasts - Triple Threat Snake>The Adventure People - X-ray Man
>>7542793I still have 2 big boxes full of them. Anybody remember skull island?
>>7542793i didnt collect blindbags because we didnt have non superheroe-ones in europe but i did enjoyed getting some wacky DC-shit like this penguin submarine. It's soo cool and looks like something out of Megaman games
>>7542832i still dont get why /toy/ made it into meme...why?is this the slightly smiling facial expression of a turtle man?
>>7542907It wasn't /toy/. It was me shitposting.
Anybody else see this?
>>7543775Oh dang. That's a really good looking carnotaur.
>>7542793I honestly think they are one of the best toy lines on the market. Cheap, good quality, creative, aritulcate, and diverse. Can't ask for too much more. I know I probably sound like a spokesman for Fisher-Price, but man they are neat. Pic related is probably my favorite, followed by the Grim Reaper in the OP.
>>7543854Its about time imaginext put out a carnotaur. The classic dino line totally skipped out on one.
Theres clearly some heart behind it, which is very refreshing in a world of soulless toylines. >>7543861
>>7543861never forget that these are $3 blind bags- which for the same price in a blind bag Hasbro sells you inferior shit.
Was this ever released? I haven't been able to find it anywhere.
>>7542793i throw the figures away and let other toys drive the cool vehicles
>>7542793In Poland you can find just few sets... We never got blindbags here. It makes me sad because it has some great figs.
>>7543783I really wish more companies started to make eyes like those. These look great and so alive!
>>7544138>i throw the figures away
Coool children toys but as an adult wouldn't bother with them.mega construx is better
>>7544575What an absolutely useless addition to the thread. Good job.
>>7544575I don't see how these two things compare.
>>7544575Why do you feel the need to hate on Imaginext? It's not a dick measuring contest over who can buy the most mature toys. Go jerk off to your nostalgia bait mega constructs on your containment thread.
>>7544675>Go jerk off to your nostalgia baitSilly thing to say in a pro-Imaginext post
>>7544138>i throw the figures awayWhy don't you give them to kids?
>>7542832I had that figure
>>7545074what the name of this guy. i kinda want to buy him
I would like these figures a lot better with more sculpted face parts. It doesn't all have to be sculpted but the tampo mouths and eyes just looks cheap. I get that its kind of a minifig aesthetic but that only works for those figures with minimal detailing in the body. The Reaper and street shark look really nice and the sculpting goes a long way.
>>7545109You can make a lot of arguments about certain toys having cross-generational appeal, but jesus fucking christ man, imaginext are EXPLICITLY MADE FOR TINY KIDS.You might as well complain that fisher price little people don't meet your rigorous standards for articulation.
>>7545318A lot of toys are intended for kids
>>7544678thats what i said. I throw them at kids. can't you read?
>>7542793The only thing that bothers me with Imaginext, is the lack of independent leg joints that can run. Same thing with Playmobil. >>7542809>I wish the good mattel shit like Imaginext and Mega Construx are available outside america. This^Where I live, we only got leftover alien sets, it was two different sets of alien with spaceship. I got one for my nephews to play with.
>>7547356It didn't have wrist swivel, but had the cooler design
I lucked out and found the invisible man and reaper collecting dust in an old Family Dollar store today.I only collect the spooky ones.
>>7548071Are you me?
>>7548071Family Dollar is exactly where I found the ones in the OP. I was considering going back for the invisible man after I found out it came with two accessory options.
Don’t mind me, just posting best boy
>>7543775>>7543780>>7543783Looking neat, would prefer if the legs were red too.Weird this one got claws in the hand where as the regular one doesn't..>>7543862>The classic dino line totally skipped out on one. There was Carno in the regular line
>>7549768That is pretty fuckin' sweet tho
>>7545318Imaginext are great when you dont have a lot of room to display figures.
>>7559832>there was a carno in the regular lineNo there wasn't. Post a picture because you're wrong.
>>7561254>imaginextDo you know what thread you're in?
>>7561254You're a little retarded huh? By classic dino line, I meant classic Imaginext Dinosaurs. Not mattel's Jurassic world line from last year.
>>7561254Fucking dumb dumb.
>>7561254Nice MSPaint skills
Kinda bummed Imaginext doesn't' sell well here and the only stuff is all DC related. Bleh. At least bootlegs on ebay seem cheap, might order a few.
>>7544083>>7544138>>7547401>>7563605How tall (height) are these immaginext figures again? I ask because these vehicles could be in scale to be used by the Desktop Army, Aqua Shooters and Skellie figuresCan someone who have any of these figures confirm this?
>>7566900>Desktop Army, Aqua Shooters
>>7566908can you not afford hexa gear?
>>7566909Yeah, I can, but I don't care about that gashapon line
>>7566915>falling for bait>>7563605What set is this? that robot looks rad af
>>7568845Hexa Gear isn't a gashapon line
>>7568846gashapon? Speak American, Ahmed!
>>7568849you only speak english?Step up, Cletus!
>>7568839Its called "Big Rig and Robot". I picked it up years ago at TRU
One of my favorite lines
>>7542793FUCK. Fuck off OP, why do you have to grab my attention with these neat looking toys? I've already spent far too much on toys as it is, but now you tempt me with these? My wallet can't take any more.
>>7574113>Swamp Thing Excellent taste, anon.
>>7575069Cool pic anon
>>7544138Is that a goddamn metal slug? That's fantastic
>>7542793For a "short lived" thread, its not doing bad.
>>7583774What is that, Rainbow Brute?
>>7583776One of the Troglodytes from the Dinosaurs sets.
