>NECA’S TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES LINE GOES GLOBAL!
Licensing agreement with Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products expanded to include international territories

>April 22, 2019 – U.S.-based National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) announced today the expansion of its licensing agreement with Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products (VNCP) for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). For the first time ever, NECA’s distribution agreement will include international markets, allowing its bestselling TMNT action figures and collectibles to be sold in dozens of countries around the world from Asia to Europe to South America.

>NECA first acquired the TMNT license in 2016 and has produced an expansive line of collector products based on the franchise’s movies and animated series, including action figures, prop replicas, accessories, collectibles and more. Until now, NECA items have only been available in the U.S., and this expansion into international markets will bring NECA’s TMNT product to fans around the world.

>“Bringing our Turtle product to fans worldwide is something we have wanted for years. Thanks to our great partnership with Nickelodeon, we are so grateful to finally give loyal international Turtle fans – who have been supporting our TMNT line since its inception – an opportunity to collect this fantastic range,” said Randy Falk, NECA’s director of product development.

Anyone knows if there's a difference between the first Ultimate Jungle Hunter and the reissue?

Yeah, luckily it's a very easy thing to fix, just some paint wash poured delicately on select spots on the mask makes the weather blend in better. Been meaning to do that forever.

Thanks for the pic btw, so the most accurate mask have the "one-eye" right? I was about to buy the new one since I thought it was more accurate to have the eyes separate.

>>7507682
Thanks bro, it potographs great under natural light in forest-like outdoors.

>>7507810
Oh maaan, do you own one? I might need to buy the new one after all. Predator is my favorite movie so I just have to.

And will do it again when Neca releases the 7" body with real netting, cause you know they will.

And when Mafex does theirs (hopefully)

Just like New Nightmare, its trash and any one who likes it, is wrong, but it has its moments and it's fans. The Jason looks like a bad Halloween costume all the tall ugly dudes wore back in the early 90s.

What's up with the Hellraiser situation? Have they addressed any possible release date?

Nothing yet, I presume it'll be one of the SDCC announcements at this point. We may see something about it just before, though.

Of interest, at least if you're in the area, apparently they're thinking about some kind of meet-up? It'd be cool to do, if you're interested in the behind the scenes stuff at a toy studio. I think, anyway.

literally says test run right there, the very first one, to leave water-like marks on the mask like in the movie, it needed finesse and some earth colors to blend better, I tried it a couple more times to perfect the technique and it came out more subdued and blends a lot better, will post pics later.

ugh. Shape of Water is the closest we'll ever get.
>>

I know that feel.
I'd even pay extra for a Neca Nosferatu or Drácula (Lugosi, Lee and Oldman would all be awesome). I mean, they could even do the obvious Mego dolls and Color/B&W repaint.
>>
>>7511568
unfortunately I don't think Universal Monsters are huge sellers. Mezco made their One:12 Frankenstein years ago. It never seemed to sell out, and they never made another universal monster again.
Diamond Select seemed to have stopped making their figures too.

The only consistent universal monster merch I can think of is cheaper lower priced figures

You obviously don't follow the calendar. Once they're on the calendar, they almost never get delayed after that. Mind you, the date on the calendar is the shipping date, so it still may take 1-2 weeks before the figures start actually appearing in stores. Sometimes they actual do appear in stores at, or even before, that date.

If NECA did a dracula figure, it would be a cloth old man Dracula, which is a bummer. A 7" Ford Coppola armored Dracula and a seven inch count Orlok are NECA figures I desperately hope happen eventually.

People would want Lugosi though more than anything else, which unfortunately won't happen as Lugosi's estate demands hefty bags of cash for his likeness. The few Lugosi Drac toys that were made are rather rare and go for a fortune now.

Needing a stand =/= the stand itself. Again, learn to read, and then figure out how to comprehend the words you've just read.

>>

Not to get between you two queens, but I think you're the one not paying attention here.
>>
>>7519338
I'd have to ask you that since you're the one being an illiterate moron. "Needing a stand limits what you can do" doesn't mean the stand limits it. It means the way the figure is made in a way that it requires a stands means it can only do so much. It's a statement about the figure itself. "The stand doesn't limit anything either" is a statement about the stand, which is arguing a point >>7519062 didn't even make in the first place. So you either can't read it you don't know how to properly articulate your thoughts. You're a retard either way.

>>7519342

>>
>>7519369
I never said anything about the stand being a problem you fucking mong. I was talking about the figure to begin with. And if you couldn't figure that out, you're the one with the reading problem. Maybe you shouldn't get into conversations your short bus riding ass can't understand.
>>
>>7519369
>"The stand doesn't limit anything either" is a statement about the stand
Not even in the slightest. It's all in reference to the figure. I think you might've failed some necessary courses in grade school if you can't understand that bro.
>>
>>7519398
>Not even in the slightest.
"The stand" is literally the subject of that sentence. You and >>7519389 are both ignoring basic English sentence structure, either because you're too stupid to understand it or trying to cover up a dumb statement.
>>
>>7519389
>I never said anything about the stand being a problem

And literally nobody ever claimed the stand was a problem. >>7519293 is responding to a post as if they did claim it even though they didn't. See: "Needing a stand =/= the stand itself"
>>
>>7519413
Or you simply can't read and want to pick fights. It's clear that they're talking about the queen figure itself. There's no reason to talk about the stand, the statement made is referring to the fact that the stand in no way limits what the queen can do as a figure. It doesn't take a leap of logic to follow that.
>>
>>7519417
Are you really this fucking dense dude? You're literally making a problem where there was none.
>>
>>7519418
>the statement made is referring to the fact that the stand in no way limits what the queen can do as a figure
Yes, and they said it in response to literally nobody claiming that the stand limited it. How do you not get this?
>>
>>7519420
No, that would be the person aggressively claiming someone was full of shit for saying the queen can't do much, and then arguing against a point they didn't even make.
>>
>>7519429
>literally nobody claiming that the stand limited it
>Needing a stand limits what you can do

It's like you're being obtuse on purpose.
>>
>>7519432
Okay, so thanks for pointing out that you're a retard who can neither read nor comprehend words. AGAIN: that does not claim that the stand limits the figure. The fact that the figure NEEDS the stand is what limits it.

"(the queen)Needing a stand limits what you can do" It is a statement about the queen. Nobody is claiming that the stand limits the figure. The figure itself is limited, as shown by it's need for a stand. Fuck.
>>
>>7519438

>>
Holy shit. I have the queen. Because of it's proportions and how NECA chose to engineer it, >>7519062 is right. You pose it, prop it up with the stand, and that's pretty much that. It has the stand because without it, you can't really do anything with it due to the weight of the front end. This absolutely limits its posing potential. Like they said, needing a stand in the first place makes this pretty obvious.

It's an extremely cool toy, but it functions as more of a poseable prop than an action figure. Anyone who can't figure that out is a blind NECA dick sucker who just wants to argue.
>>
>>7519444
Seems to work pretty well considering I'm objectively correct about what has been said.

>>7519445
It is. That's why it needs the stand.
>>
>>7519449
>You pose it, prop it up with the stand, and that's pretty much that.

So like Revoltech, Figma, Mafex, Hot Toys, Sideshow...
>>
>>7519453
>I'm objectively correct about what has been said

You aren't correct at all. You're claiming victory after you didn't understand what was said. You are King Retard, and that's about it.
>>
>>7519454
Hmm maybe those last two, since I've never seen anyone do anything with those other than just have them stand there (kinda like the queen being discussed). They don't have anything to do with what's being discussed though. Those other three are closer to the predators/aliens/humans. They can do a whole lot compared to the queen. But they still don't have anything to do with the topic at hand.
>>
>>7519461
Do you suck at posing or something? The queen is a very dynamic figure, just because it needs a stand for some poses doesn't limit the thing.
>>
>>7519456
>You're claiming victory after you didn't understand what was said.
The only person who didn't understand what was said was the one acting like a statement about a figure is a statement about a stand. Sentence structure has pretty clear rules so that people can easily and clearly communicate with eachother. Acting like you're right when you can't even grasp basic rules of language makes you the moron here.
>>
>>7519463
By all means, please post dynamic poses of the queen. Because it does two things: stands in its normal natural position, and can be tilted up right on its hind legs. You know, the only things it ever did in the first place.
>>
>>7519464
>the one acting like a statement about a figure is a statement about a stand.
>Acting like you're right when you can't even grasp basic rules of language makes you the moron here.
Which is exactly what you did. So maybe you're not totally retarded, you see what you did wrong.
>>
>>7519472
How do you still not get this? At no point have you managed to be correct or understand why you're wrong in the first place. This is extremely simple stuff that eight year olds have already figured out.

See, that's what they should've said in the first place, and is completely different from what they posted.

But yeah, needing a stand does limit it. I mean... it's limited to the stand. It can't really do a whole lot without it. That's because of the design and the weight though, not because of really anything about the figure itself (though I suppose they could've used different materials and made the upper body lighter).
>>
>>7519445
Given that it can't balance by itself, it is by definition, limited.
>>
>>7519504
>and is completely different from what they posted.
No, it's not. You're trying to make a fight out of nothing. You misunderstood something and are running with it. You're a complete fucking idiot, and I'm sorry your parents wasted their time sending you to school.
>>
>>7519505
It *kinda* can, but even still it's just balancing in the exact same position you use the stand for anyway. It's limited by design, which isn't even a criticism of the toy and a dumb thing for NECA defenders to get mad over.
>>
>>7519505
>Given that it can't balance by itself
Actually, it can. Takes some doing, but it's entirely capable of holding itself up. This was discussed back when it first came out.
>>
>>7519514
It can for probably 30 minutes before it comes crashing down. Nobody in their right mind would leave it free-standing on any shelf for any length of time.
>>
>>7519510
>No, it's not.
It quite literally is.

>You misunderstood something and are running with it.
No, I see and understand exactly what was said. Either they misunderstood what they were responding to, or they didn't care and argued against a point that wasn't being made in the first place.

"Needing a stand does not limit it in any way" and "The stand does not limit it in any way" are referring to two different things. The former is actually responding to what was said in the first place, the latter did not.
>>
>>7519517
>I see and understand exactly what was said
But you've shown time and time again that you didn't understand at all. Again, you've manufactured this entire thing just to argue with people over nothing. You're the one putting words in people's mouths. Or meaning behind their words, rather.
>>
>>7519519
>You're the one putting words in people's mouths. Or meaning behind their words, rather.
If anything, that's you in trying to act like they meant something other than what they literally said. You then repeatedly show off the fact that you don't know what they're talking about.
>>
>>7519528
It's hard to know what they're talking about when they were wrong to begin with.
>>
>>7519534
They weren't wrong though. It's an articulated set piece.
>>
>>7519539
That is wrong though. It's an articulated large scale action figure.
>>
Author of >>7519062 here.

To be clear, the Queen is a nice display piece but not a good "action" figure. It is tremendously unbalanced and forward heavy, ontop of being large and un-wieldy.

That is exactly what I meant and that is what I implied.

If you want a dynamic free-standing queen and don't mind the defo-real aspect, I'd recommend the Hybrid-metal.

It's an action figure that functions as an articulated set piece. Just like it did most of the time on screen. It's also not large scale. It's roughly 1:10, assuming it's actually in scale with the rest of the line and not somewhat undersized.
>>
>>7519549
So it's an action figure and can do everything an action figure can.

I have a theory that NECAnon is a poorfag euro or Brit. Their financial strain coupled with the hassle and extra cost of imported NECA figures means he has no choice but to defend them to the death, otherwise he feels insecure with his purchases when faced with criticism. It would also explain the constant "you're lying, you don't own it," when people who clearly do own them bring up any flaws they've experienced. He's just constantly projecting.

To those who have NECA products in abundance, it's nothing. To those who have to pay extra or put in extra effort to get even a limited selection, they're idealized to the extreme. That's why they get so mad. It's also why they never post their toys. They don't have any and live in a slum.

Hopefully this stirs up enough attention and preorders to warrant an ultimate figure. Or maybe I misinterpreted that, that's what it sounded like though.

If their twitter is anything to go by, Ghostface isn't happening, but Pinhead is. I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually give us dinner suit leatherface, since a lot of people ask for that and the ultimate leatherface has been reissued so many times, it's clearly selling

We're getting an ultimate Sam, and ultimate Pinhead, and ultimate Conjuring universe figures. Nothing has been officially solicited, but if Randy says it's going to happen on twitter, there's no reason to think they won't happen
>>

>>
>>7527674
If they were so popular, we'd have an ultimate Snake instead of being told that the reason we don't have one is because the Mego didn't sell enough.

They're cheap and sell enough to justify reusing the same body over and over. If they're so popular and great, please feel free to post your collection
>>
>>7527669
The point? You literally said "You still have hope for random horror surprises being actual figures? I gave up a long time ago"
>>
>>7527726
One figure maybe not selling enough doesn't mean the line isn't popular dumbass. Not to mention that was an earlier figure in the line. The Mego figs have taken off, just because you don't like them, that doesn't mean they can produce them without any drawbacks. They sell.
>>
>>7527826
>One figure maybe not selling enough
It definitely didn't sell enough and Randy said so himself.
>Not to mention that was an earlier figure in the line.
Not really and also not an excuse.
>>
>>7527726
If they weren't popular they wouldn't make them. But they do, and they do a lot of them. And people do buy them and post pictures all the time. Why are you being such a sandy vagina over this?
>>
>>7527872
I'm not the one getting defensive and slinging insults.

They make things that they can't justify sinking money into fully sculpted figures for because they don't sell enough to pay for the tooling.

They sell enough to justify their existence with minimal initial investment on their end.
>>
>>7527877
They obviously sell better than "well enough" or they wouldn't be doing as much with them as they do.
>>
>>7527880
If they sold better they'd be able to justify a greater investment than the bare minimum new pieces on the same couple of bodies.
>>
>>7527892
That's not the way Megos work, now you're trying to drudge up stupid complaints.
>>
>>7527898
These aren't Megos. They're supposed to be better than that. It's not 1972.

And I'm aware of how Megos work, and their business model for these. They sell enough to continue a minimal investment line, but not enough to say "these sales numbers justify a greater investment into fully tooled figures."

We're talking about a line where they have literally said that their sales aren't high enough to make fully tooled versions.
>>
>>7527918
They are Megos. And no they aren't trying to be better. Just in sculpts and choices. They fit the horror niche. Again you're just finding reasons to complain.
>>
>>7527931
>They are Megos.
They literally are not.
>And no they aren't trying to be better. Just in sculpts and choices.
So they're not trying to be better except just where they're trying to be better?
> Again you're just finding reasons to complain
The only thing I've complained about is using a niche line that already doesn't move in huge quantities in the first place as a means of gauging interest in better figures. I'll never support the "buy X so we'll maybe make Y" model.
>>
>>7527939
You realize they're not gauging interest for every figure, right? You're trying to attach something that was said long ago to current releases.

You're welcome to complain all you want on Twitter, but your whining on the subject is boring.
>>
>>7527951
>You realize they're not gauging interest for every figure, right?
Yes. I didn't say they were.
>>
>>7527960
Yes, you did. And it makes all your complaining moot. They either had plans to make a figure or not. The Mego line is doing well enough to warrant these characters getting placed in them.

>I feel like it can meet the same fate as the Valerian figures
I doubt it. Valerian was one of the big blockbusters that come out that Hollywood puts so much faith and money into and then it comes out and no ones gives a shit. Like Jupiter Ascending, John Carter, that recent Robin Hood movie, etc

The Conjuring movies are established as successes already, and their spinoffs no matter how shit they are make lots of money. And horror fans and collectors have a big overlap. One of the reasons they went ahead with this conjuring universe line was because the response to the Nun retro doll reveal was so strong. Atleast Randy said that in a Toy Fair interview.
I think the conjuring universe line will be ok.
>>
>>7529517
>Ugh, those designs are far less superior and they just got films.
True. I also love the crooked man in the conjuring 2, atleast when he wasn't cgi morphing out of a dog. The few seconds of practical effects we got looked so good. I don't know if I want my man crooks to get his own movie that will definitely be shit. Every spinoff from that universe looks like the director was told by the movie execs "Hey, see James Wan's movie? The Conjuring? Do that" and then we end up getting a shitty dollar store conjuring styled movie. Curse of La Llorona was probably the worst one yet.
>>
I remember someone inquired NECA about an ultimate Annabelle on twitter and I forgot the exact response but it pointed to there being an ultimate Annabelle in the works.

Gonna need pic related as a head sculpt, presuming NECA hits us with figures for It: Chapter 2.
>>
>>7532044
They already confirmed the Pennywise with the spider legs is their last release for the 1st movie because they have to focus on making figures for part 2, so they're coming.

I just wish they could spend the money making Pennywise's other forms like the painting lady or the leper guy. As it is now, I fully expect for all part 2 figures to just be the same figure we've gotten like 4 times now with just different accessories
>>
>>7532061
We're getting the painting lady as a head. Nobody is going to spend the money on a whole figure of that or the leper though. That just doesn't make sense in this market.
>>
>>7532028
I'll believe it when I see it. People say every single time "This one will be good!" and then it turns out to be just as much of a gamble on QC as every other release.

The painting lady head is what I'm most excited for in that set.
I'm not saying making the leper guy would be a financially smart decision, I understand, I still wish they could do it though. I'd rather have 2 Pennywise versions, 1 Painting Lady, and 1 Leper rather than 4 Pennywises

yikes, how do you get a previous release more accurate

Yikes, how do you make a retarded ass assumption like this based on a tiny photo.

They have Rodan, Mothra, Ghidorah and maybe MechaG
>>

It's already out in Target. There's many more photos.

Is it? Awesome, hopefully my rep stocks some shit.
>>
>>7532707
I'd adore classic versions of these Rodan and Mothra were always my favorites.

It would be a crime not to get a figure of the eldritch spider Pennywise will transform into during this film. Sadly the Tim Curry version probably won't get the same treatment.

I can live with that. We'll see what we find today, if they're really on some kind of early release date everywhere.

Take this with a huge, huge grain of salt:
>"Nothing super specific. I know that between the movie and cartoon lines, they have something like 18-20 figures sculpted (for 7 inch scale). Not sure on the ratio of movie to cartoon figures that is, though.

>Then there's the SDCC set, which is set to be movie, with one completely brand new figure in the set (which will be released later on minus some accessories like the initial Turtles set).

>But rest assured, everything in quarter scale WILL see release in 7 inch scale, as Nickelodeon is slicensing, and forcing Playmates to release their stranglehold on the license.

>Hence, why the Batman/TMNT line is happening. And Super 7 is doing a line, as well.

>NECA holds things a little closer to the vest, so they're pretty hard to get info from!"

I went to 3 Targets yesterday and they all had TMNT 90s toon figures. I'm glad that Neca is meeting the demand on these.

So what about these guys? Scratch the VG deco and release them in toon colors?
>>

The toon colors were coming no matter what, probably later this year with Bebop and Rocksteady.

>Batman line
What? How did i miss this? What Batman line is Neca doing/going to do?
>>
>>7534552
No, that was in reference to the Batman Mikey that's being done by DC Collectibles. Apparently they're going to do a full line for that movie (Batman vs the TMNT). Whatever that entails.
>>
>>7528387
Go to sleep boomer, the new pennywise is more movie accurate and the actor understands the character better. It's just dumb nostalgia.
>>
I would S some serious D for Neca to redo this terminator figure. Which Kenner terminator figure would you like to see them redo?

It's like he's wearing a hot dog hoodie.

Picked up Godzilla at Gamestop! New tail articulation, new wrists, feels similar elsewhere. Very good sculpting, paint looks good too. Not sure if we'll ever get a nice clear look at his color in the movie, but we'll see.

Eyes are fine, they're actually cleanly painted in there, there's just a lot of white. Looks good in person.

Honestly no real surprises if you have the last figure. Sculpt is fantastic, paint's good, articulation is improved. It's no Monsterart, but it's a great Godzilla.
>>
>>7536035
>Looks good in person.
Hard fuckin disagree there bud
>>
>>7536124
Looks all good in that pic.
>>
>>7536142
Cool, we're talking about seeing it in person, not the picture.
>>
>>7536202
If he says it looks good in person and it looks good in the picture, it probably means that figure he owns looks good in general. God you fags are fucking retarded.
>>
>>7536205
Cool, I saw one that looks just like in person two hours ago and I personally think it looks like dogshit. Stop trying to argue with subjective opinions you delusional dingus.
>>
>>7536208
*I think*
Don’t even argue with me about subjective anything you tisim. How about you be objective instead going “muh dogshit”. Use objective terms you faggo.
>>
>>7536226
>How about you be objective
We're talking about how we personally feel about how a toy looks. There's nothing objective about it.
>>
>>7536208
Maybe you're just a dickwad? No normal person would act like you are over something like this.
>>
>>7536124
Disagree all you want, that's fine. Doesn't change the fact that it looks good.
>>
>>7536260
>No normal person would act like you are over something like this.
What, like calling people fags and dickwads for disagreeing about a toy?

>>7536261
That's your opinion, not a fact.

Cool, I have the figure, it does actually look very good. You don't have to like it.

>>7536208
You saying it "looks like dogshit" tells everyone that you're coming into this looking for a fight. You made up your mind about something, and I'm pretty sure you didn't actually see it in person, you're just wanting to be a butthole. You be you I guess.

Is it possible for NECA to do Zilla? I mean he is "kinda" a Godzilla variant and he's owned I think by a US company.

Maybe even an animated-colored variant?
