I've seen this a bunch of times but never considered doing this til now. Whats the best way to remove painted details? Google searches says rubbing alcohol. Wasn't sure if there was anything better.

I got my hands on the Axis troop pack. Looking to remove the star emblems from the Checkpoint Charge motorcycle. Gonna give it the Third Reich treatment.

Most old Mega Bloks elements are hugefuck terrain pieces. Their sheer amount of connection points means they stay together well. Any gold plastics such as torches and minifigs are brittle as fuck. Overall its great for making mountain fortresses for your modern mega figs.

>>7376107
Something about this makes me laugh, maybe I'm starting to understand why some insane folks think mega figures are badly proportioned. I appreciate your work anon, its unlikely but I dream of Mega becoming massively popular and doing sets of literally everything.

>>7376107
Old ball jointed mega figures arms can fit onto these knights arm sockets. No other compatibility sadly, You'd have better luck hunting some of those awesome King Arthur knights.

Toy Fair reveals?
>>
>>7377649
This brings up something that annoys the piss out of me about Mega Construx. The current box art, with the additional sets pictured, does not list the name of the additional sets. Just the product number. If I owned one of the IPs issued to Mattel/Mega Brands, I’d raise shit because they’re diminishing my brand by not issuing name recognition to the sets in their cross/up-sell attempts. Stores would also have some benefit by having names on pictured sets, as well.
>>

And please please file down lego sized gun grips so they dont stress these beautiful hands and break them.

Cobi guns fit mega but their nazi guns look abit cartoony and only like two guns are given per massive 45usd set

$250? Oof. I know this is going to sound weird, but I sort of wish old Mega was producing this set. Old Mega would have made Grayskull six modular playsets (the gift box set with all six would be a retailer exclusive), and the facades would have been huge molded pieces. Each set would have included at least one figure, and He-Man and Skeletor would have been packed in different sets. People would have bitched about the use of huge molded pieces and the fact that you would need to get all six sets if you wanted to build a complete Grayskull, but it would have brought down the price some and made the whole thing more stable for play. I appreciate the work the design team did on the set to pay homage to the original Grayskull, but it looks like a boring build from the inside.

>>
>>7388240
Nah, these classic motu heries fly off the shelf. Walmarts in my city already sold all their 5 packs and wind raiders.

The only thing that is a hard sale from mega is their star trek. Maybe destiny as that wasnt flying off the shelves. The only motu fig that didnt sell well was beastman. Even then, he wasnt as common as picard or kirk.
>>
>>7387577
My concern is that there’s too many small pieces. It seems that’s what’s driving up the piece count and cost. I bought the Technodrome at full price and it was worth it, the thing is HUGE. If this castle is the same size, then I’ll get it without hesitation.

Also, the wind rider and 5 pack is bringing a lot of non-mega collectors into the mega game, at least for MOTU, so I have no doubt this set will sell without issues.
>>
>>7387646
>honestly, I just don't know if I can bring myself to splash out $250 for something I have no connection to.
Not only do I have little interest in MotU, it just looks like a tedious building experience. Just going off the render, it looks like a shitton of the set's 3000+ parts count is going to consist of 1x1 stud and 1x2 stud elements. I'll still buy a couple of sets for parts, but I'm more than content to wait when Mattel grossly overestimates demand for Grayskull and dumps the unsold sets at Ross ir TJ Maxx at deep discounts.

Bought one of these Dragon things on a whim since my local Kmart had them at 4 bucks due to being placed with an aisle price of 3.50 since they were too lazy to put the appropriate aisle price of 11.99.

>>
>>7390584
This is untrue. The MOTUC castle was $300. Not including shipping. While there were opportunities to get it for cheaper it started at $300 and for years now can only be had for upwards of $600.

Plus we had to deal with buying all the figures and several key accessories were with random figures that you may not have owned (like a key to unlocking a door in the castle coming with a figure made 3 years earlier that became one of the most expensive in the line, the orb in the top of the castle being with a figure, etc). This includes everything and enough figures to be a complete playset. And while it won't be as big as the MOTUC castle, it's still gonna be fucking huge and awesome.
>>
>>7390746
Damn, I wish I grabbed this when TRU was going out of business. The original Technodrome is my favorite playset of all time. And I had no idea the Mega one would have been that big.

>>
>>7390746
I still haven't even finished building my Technodrome. There's so many fucking parts, and it's a complicated build involving lots of smaller parts. There's also lots of confusing steps in the directions where the colors of pieces aren't quite right, so you'll fuck up and use the wrong pieces some times, then have to back track, rip em out and pop in the correct ones. My set was even missing a couple of pieces when I got it, but they were incidental interior pieces.

Okay.. this is what they said.
And BBTS got back and aren't getting them.

Sorry, but this is how Mattel is offering the item to us in their product catalog. The are offering it as a randomized 21 piece assortment. We won't know the quantities we will be getting of each figure in each box of 21 pieces, so we cannot offer them in sets of 1 each for the 6 different characters. If they start offering them to us as sets of 6, or in equally assorted cases, we will be able to offer them as sets ourselves, but since the case pack is 21 pieces (which doesn't divide equally by 6) it seems unlikely that set assortments will be available from Mattel.

and BBTS says.
We are not planning on carrying the Mega Construx Heroes Series 4 Set of 6, even though it's still being produced. The manner that we ordered the product from the manufacturer was canceled and at this time we are not planning on ordering it otherwise.

ToyWiZ is only selling them as overpriced singles.

I've seen everything from the wave many times, seemingly fresh-stocked cases, but I've never seen a single Evil-lyn. Although, I'm glad to hear that Hellboy is selling well other places.

At least my chances seem high that she'll be included in another set. Maybe even in my more-preferred look.

Nice! That’s a good set. The atv seems oversized, but that’s all cod vehicles from mega. Post pics when you open it!

Alcala He-Man. He's also got the mini-comic sword.

Oh, I just now realized that it's only 2 sides of the castle. For some reason I always assumed it had a hinge and would be able to close up. Hm.

Alcala Skeletor

Really shaping up to be the best version of Skeletor

Didn't realize that until you said something

Does it say it can't, it looks like there's hinges on the inside?
>>
>>7396749
It does, but the image on the box art even shows it opened. There are also quite a few pieces that wouldn't let it close, even if there were hinges, so at the very least there would need to be some disassembly. If we get to see a model on the show floor I'm sure we could better figure it out.

Fuck, this all looks very good. I may have to get it.

Is that a new head sculpt or just a repaint??
>>
>>7396944
Looks like a new sculpt
>>
>>7396765
No,it looks like it will close. There's even a clip on the side to make sure the halves stay closed when put together. You might have to move the ladder and swing that transparent piece in, but it should close without issue. Git gud at spatial reasoning, anon.
