So how much of Bumblebee's run time do you think will be on Cybertron? Will it just be the opening scene, or do you think they might show more?
>>
>>7265994
Hopely the first few minutes since those designs are awful
>>
The OP of this thread vigorously enjoys getting his ass pounded by the mods, it's a sick fetish for him. Do your part to get him off by reporting his shitpost threads!
>>

Yeah, do your part by posting more comics! That'll show him!
>>
I don't understand why you even do this still, it's been over a year what are you getting from it?
Why don't you just leave if /tfg/ bothers you so much? Nobody wants you around in the first place.
>>
>>7266030
I don't see what's that bad about wanting to discuss toys in a toy board
>>
>>7265984
If they were going to put molded detail across two seperate panels on the legs you'd think they'd make a better effort to make sure those leg panels are flush against each other. Or maybe even slightly adjust the detail so it isn't very slightly on two seperate panels making the gap look worse.

Also I just noticed the cab lights are very slightly coloured orange and that the arrows on his arms are a darker shade of red. Wtf this isn't toon accurate anymore.

MS toys for a highly refined MP-10 with a slightly more cartoonish look and a completely real transformation in the chest, no fake grill or windows.

Transform Element [though you may want to recolour the windows somehow, they're very dark on stock] for a prime thats a bit more like the cartoon model, just, from better episodes or perhaps the movie than what they based this weird, all-edges-rounded-off new MP on
>>
>>7266030
There's literally no reason to complain about links or redirections in the OP, most only use it to find the thread in the catalog.
And I don't want to discuss current media anyways because it all looks like shit. Cyberverse could've been good but the animation is ugly and they turned it into The Windblade Show, IDW is just garbage, who knows or cares for Bumblebee.

It's impressive how the Consturctions ended up better. They suffer, but their issues are nowhere near as bad.

By the time Takara released the UW version, the only real flaw was that Scavenger and Bonecrusher should have been larger arms.
>>
>>7265984
So who is this for? What would compel someone to purchase this over MP-10 which is cheaper and has been readily available for years now?
>>
>>7267846
Well they don't have the backing of a Hollywood powerhouse like WB.

Paramount has been the short bus of the major studios for a long time. And now they don't have based Robert Evans to bail them out of their fuckups either.
>>
>>7267893
The fact that this new Optimus doesn't have limited articulation range helps.

I own MP-10 and really like it, but I'm going to buy this new one too because even if I'm not a G1 kid Optimus cartoon design is absolutely iconic, and as an action figure it seems to be miles better than MP-10.

So what is the best Titans War Powermaster Prime to get?

Should I pay out the ass for the Takara twopack with Godbomber with the rest of the Masterforce heads? Or the US release? Or the Takara version or it's US multi-pack?
>>
>>7268006
I recommend just waiting for someone to post theirson Amimami. I've seen both Godbomber and Ginrai posted for 3500 yen, each on the pre-owned section.

They currently aren't available, but they've consistently sold them for way less.

Buying them new is insane.
>>
>>7268012
>>7268006
You can get regular Titans Return Optimus Prime for about $40-50 (normal price).

If you are wedded to the original US PM Prime, you should stick to the US version. The Takara version is basically retooled to make it Masterforce accurate.

Godbomber is pretty crappy but that's just my opinion. Unless you really want Hosehead, there is no reason to buy the super duper box set with him and Minerva.

They are. BBTS/TCP/etc. online retailers go through Hasbro Asia for TakaraTomy items. It's still the same company making the money.

I mean, fuck it, I've got three Optimuses and three Hot Rods, but those took a fuckload of convincing myself, and that's with them all having radically different designs from one another.

At some point you just have to say, "this toy is good enough". Otherwise you'll never be satisfied.

>>
>>7274616
But this isn't a minor improvement, it's an entirely different design getting made into a toy and that's pissing you off for some reason. A minor improvement would be if they did what they had with Starscream: taking the old mold, retooling a few things, maybe throw in new elbows or knees, and selling that to you all over again. Instead they decided to make it an entirely different figure that offers something unique.

>>
>>7274687
>Literally nothing wrong with soudwave to warrent a 2.0
Soundwave is my least favorite MP of those I own. Aesthetically, I like it, it's got that G1 look while still feeling modern and not being stupidly accurate to the cartoon, but as a toy it really sucks. Leg and hip articulation is handled extremely stupidly, ankles are limited which really makes him a drag to pose, and for only having to transform into a box, he does it with an extreme lack of elegance. Not to mention his tape eject/storage gimmick which is generally a pain in the ass and hardly works. So much about MP-13 feels like it was Hasui doing a rush job, especially after how masterful the transformation on MP-10 was.

I'm pretty sure that the only reason MP-13 gets praise is because it does indeed look impressive, and it's Soundwave, probably the biggest meme character in the franchise besides Optimus himself. MP Soundwave is riding on recognition of the character alone. As a toy, it's pretty lame, even compared to its peers. If it were upscaled, its engineering actually makes it feel more like it belongs with the pre-MP-10 figures.

>MP-10 has become outdated
I don't think it has. Articulation could be better, but it's not bad. Really, if anything, MP-10 has become underrated as a toy, because it had the extreme misfortune of being the posterchild for a new direction of the MP line shortly before they decided to abandon that direction. MP-10 is still an absolutely stellar Optimus Prime figure with a clever, yet intuitive transformation and the perfect level of compromise between both modes. None of that can be said for MP-44, which is just a cartoon-accuracy wank-fest at the expense of literally everything that makes a good transforming robot toy.

>>
>>7274780
It kind of is. The only real "suffering for it" figure of the bunch is Long Haul, but this allows Hook to not have to worry as much for the combined form.

Meanwhile, for Predaking and his attachments you have the wingpack from Divebomb, the thighs, and both arms having "shoulder chunks" that hang on their back. Predaking is definitely more than the sum of his parts, but the individuals all suffer a bit more for it.

And yet I saw a review that said Predaking is better than Devastator. Shrug.

When do we get a toy of this movie design?
>>
>>7274571
TRU is gone, so they only have Amazon and Diamond for retailers of anything this high.

BBTS, EE, etc don't have enough reach for a MP mold. Walmart doesn't want them. No one at Target understood the question
>>
>>7274877
Why is Megatron coloured like Grimlock?
>>
>>7267893
MP-10 is a great toy, but the basic version is getting pricey. The repaints are all cheap because only a few people want black, purple or gold Optimus.

$450 was too much, but free DHL delivery from Amazon Japan for $315 is worth it to me.

Since I don't buy a lot of toys anymore, this one big toy will be a centerpiece on my shelf for quite awhile. Once I get it and have it's full measurements, I'll get a nice display case for it from the local sports memorabilia store or just make one if I can't find one big enough.

5-6 minutes I know from a critic who went to screenings. Gave the film 7/10. Transformers franchise is on the right direction. He said there is a robot in every scene minus some family scenes. don't matter, Hollywood tosses out whatever numbers it wants to. No matter if it's the same Bayformers shit designs we've had from day one or crap writing it'll magically do well because Hollywood Accounting will tally it up nicely.

His tape deck mode is utter shit but Takara doesn't give a fuck about altmodes.

The real issues are that he has pinned leg flaps that split apart, and his hips are brittle as well. The bird tapes are also notorious for breaking due to having very thin pinned sections

More because they felt the need to have his chest store 3 tapes instead of just one. And like I said, it barely fucking works well enough to justify it. They probably could have gotten a much more compact and cohesive transformation without that feature.

The Last Knight flopped so hard that they changed a lot of the Bumblebee movie to distance themselves from the Bay movies. It killed Hasbro plans for a TFCU and Paramounts deal with Huhua which woul've go with all of their moviesnot only Transformers. Half of the budget of Bumblebee was funded by Hasbro because of the loss of the Huhua contract. Hasbro also made a new contract for 5 years to have more than 50% control over the movie which makes sense with the drastical design change. And the film has a big chance to be good. 7/10 or 8/10 as I heard from some critics already. Will find out this weekend when embargo lifts.
>>
The fan screenings of Bumblebee started in London 15 minutes agog. In 2 hours we'll find out about this movie.
The film is 1 hour and 45 minutes without the credits. Makes it the shortest Transformers movie. Good choice.

I know right. Bay should stick with his action movies.

The Optimus Prime film(if Bee is a success) will be an origin story(tied with an Earth side mission set by Bee movie). Paramount has a new director,a known scifi director which worked on no earth/cgi surfaces and characters. Probably J.J.Arbrams. They are rebooting the timeline if Bee is a success.

>>
>>7275183
And even if Bee is a camaro in the end. He won't look like Bay's. This is a homage to the old era and the beginning of anew one. It leads in a new continuity. Btw Travis Knight isn't directing GotG3,he stated that he will return at Laika to make animated films but he isn't done with Paramount(he most likely will return for the Bee sequel if the film is a success since Knight is a fan of Bee since childhood and believes Megatron G1 design is one of the greatest designs ever). Only good stuff in the future. And all of this happened because we let Bay out.

He was just proposed. It doesn't mean that he will direct the film but it would have been interesting if he did want to.
J.J. is likely,we will find out if the Prime film is greenlit only after Bee's box office numbers.
Good word of mouth is Bee's last chance thats why we get so many advanced screenings including the one on 8th in US and Canada.

The more I see the more it pisses me off! Why couldn't they just make this a straight up TRANSFORMERS movie? I love everything I'm seeing from this movie EXCEPT BUMBLEBEE! I want to get into this along with all the other guys that grew up with G1 but I just can't because I despise Bumblebee. They totally alienated me by making this a fucking movie about Bumblebee. They even got Soundwave's voice right, something so incredibly difficult that the Bay movies just couldn't handle it (extreme sarcasm).

This is the worst! It's depressing the shit out of me. After 5 movies they finally get the robot designs & the G1 feel right but they made it a cute baby movie for little girls. Why can't they just make a serious TRANSFORMERS movie & cut out all this cute preschool baby bullshit? I can't even go see this because I want to fast forward through all the scenes with Bumblebee & Charlie & just watch the good stuff.

I just don't want women in Transformers,Transformers is only for men.
That's it.

So the Micromasters are pretty much the shittiest part of this line. Their articulation is spotty, only some of their modes are good, they're prone to falling apart, and most of the weapon modes are shit. The only good one is the jet set.

Ironically the whole point of me switching from Classics to MP was not having to keep rebuying new versions of characters and just get a single definitive version. I've been collecting forever, so trying to get good versions of G1 characters had been a pain. To use your Hot Rod example; back when RiD came out, I got Super Sideburn to be my new "hot Rod". Then Armada came out, with Hot Shot's redeco, and he became Hot rod. THEN Energon had a Rodimus! Oh but then Cybertron came out with a Hot Shot redeco that looked like Hot rod. Then finally Classics gave me an actual, designed from the start Hot Rod..that wasn't that good. And then alternators had a Hot Rod, which scaled with MP-01 so I had to have it because MP-01 was the definitive Transformer at the time. And then we actually got a real MP Rodimus/Hot rod..and then a Hot Rod.

So basically I can't win.

I only have a few, but the quality/articulation on them goes up and down.

It's kind of a shame to see the small robots that turn into weapons gimmick falling into the same potholes of design/engineering.
>>
>>7277169
Tanks are best as a gun.
Jets as Minicons.
Race cars as vehicles, but only because one is a fucking silver Delorean.
>>
>>7277194
I'm fishing for an excuse for Hasbro/Takara to re-release Arms Micons in the US. I'm not paying $10+ for a capsule machine toy, and I'm hoping the guy who thought light up weapons for Prime were a good idea and these were bad got canned.
>>
>>7277202
Its not a delorean tho

It looks like a generic old shitbox now
>>
>>7277232
So a delorean then

Moonracer on sale in HLJ, how good is she?
>>
>>7277251
Identical to the US version.
>>
>>7277256
I don't own moonracer, i was asking how good was the figure.
>>
>>7277258
>>7277251
>backpack heavy
>basically stretches out for all her modes

its the best you'll get of her but it could be better
>>
>>7277263
If it doesn't affect balance or articulation i don't care.
>>
>>7277265
Only when you lean her back, but her big feet can angle enough to compensate her back-heavyness.
I enjoy owning her, though yeah I wish her backpack were able to fold a little flatter.
>>
>>7277251
She looks like shit anon. Wait for Siege Chromia
>>
>>7277270
Well, a review pointed out you can fold it down into a skirt for balance.
also that kibble on the feet must stabilize her well enough to stand on one foot

you must give us a schoolgirl moonracer now anon.

Why would he want to do that?
>>
>>7277251
Would it require a voyager scale to get a good girl bot?

I think you'd have to make a new size class and hire Jizaitoys for it.

Just use this thread, you autists. Report forum screencaps if you're too retarded to ignore them.

That's the shitposter making his new thread again anon, just ignore him until we make the real next thread.

>>7277320
Well excuse us for having standards, madam.
>>

I think that's him.
>>
>>7277323
Lack of standards you mean. An orderly OP makes this place more welcoming & easier to find stuff without the same questions being repeated over & over again.

I know it is, he's really bad at hiding himself.
>>
>>7277299
I just want girl bots that are unique and good and not hindered by a gimmick.
>>
>>7277251
Pretty good, with the same Combiner problems where there’s a backpack since nothing can fold internally due to Combiner Port being there.
>>
>>7277332
in that case why are you still giving him you's
>>
>>7277335
So get Nightbird and Legends Blackarachnia.
>>
>>7277340
Nobody cares if there's links or not, you've tried hiding behind that paper-thin excuse for months. Everyone knows it's you.
>>
>>7277346
I'm not him.
And the links do nothing when people here are still using ebay unironically.
>>
>>7277346
don't give him you's.
just report him.
>>
>>7277349
Have the mods wisened up enough to stop warning people from reporting spam?

Then who cares
>>
>>7277353
You do, apparently.
>>
>>7277353
seems like they have when they delete his threads on sight rather than leave them hanging around.
>>

>Have the mods wisened up enough to stop warning people from reporting spam?
After everything that happened today, I'm sure the mods know to take reports seriously.
>>
>>7277357
>>7277359
It's a good sign, at the very least. I'm legitimately surprised he keeps making threads though, even minutes after his other is deleted. Ballsy, I'll give him that. Maybe he's just ban-evading?
>>
>>7277366
he is.
>>
>>7277369
I wonder what he gets out of it? It can't just be (you)s, not after this long. That'd be a genuine mental disorder, if that's this was.
>>
>>7277375
he just hates the general.
>>
>>7277343
Something new and not a remold.
>>
>>7277398
So get that triple changer when she gets a fig.

Or Slash. Get Slash.
>>
>>7277438
I second the suggestion on Slash, she's great.
>>
Completely new to Transformers stuff and I'm only interested in a G1 sideswipe because I love the platinum game.
What's my best options that don't cost £500 like the cool optimus in OP?
>>
>>7265984
$500 for this? WTF? COME ON!!! Greedy ass fuckers!!! Does it cure cancer?
>inb4 poorfag comments
>go buy me one if you're so god damn rich!!!!
>FUUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKKK!!!!
