Been a while since I last saw one of these, so post some mechs. Bonus points if they're civilian or non-military.
A couple a steampunk decks Rollin through
>>67199824People give PGI a lot of guff, but I do quite like the Roughneck.
>>67199777The torso and arms are just a Power Loader from Aliens. Only the legs have really been changed.
I'm sorry OP, most of what I have is military in nature :(
These're part of a series dedicated to anti-poaching efforts, not -technically- military I don't think.
I always thought the vehicle designs in Red Faction Guerrilla were pretty rad. The mechs felt industrial and chunky, and the EDF's sleek and angular designs were cool. Unlucky the series went to shit thereafter.
quick question, say you have a sports league that uses mechs?thinking MMA on a larger scale. What would a mech look like if it was built for competitive fighting and melee combat, but not for military combat?
>>67204871If it's controlled by a dude inside it, maybe some kind of safety ball the operator rides inside of with the mech's arms and legs attached, kind of like Atlas from Portal 2. Padded on the inside to protect against falls and potential spalling, with internal suspension on whatever the operator's directly touching. A decent hit from a mech could easily fuck the operator up even without hitting the cockpit, so having a really good way to absorb that shock for the rider would be essential. Planned failure on the limbs or a points system weighted against hitting the core, to help stop jockeys from just giving each other whiplash and concussions as a main strategyIf it's remote, I dunno, Real Steel or something where you build something human-like to transfer a real human's skill set, then mod it to draw the crowd's eye.
>>67203302Ogre was my go to girl I do believe. Take hits, give 'em back, and when I enter the cockpit the AI says she missed me. God I felt bad every time my Titan was destroyed.
>>67207497Do people actually laugh at these?
>>67207699The far sides? They're usually great, some times a bit too on the nose, and occasionally just dumb.
>>67206662If you didn't feel sad, you weren't really a pilot.
>>67200455i'm always puzzled as to what the fuck the artist was thinking with things like this, why would you give your mg mech no armour whatsoever over the crew controls?
>>67199743Not sure if this counts but it's neat AF.
>>67200787>>67200803Always liked those
>>67214487>>67200896This and the whale had a really neat story too - the whale drones are Indian Navy:>Marut class maritime assault drone.>The largest drones constructed, Marut class drones represent the pinnacle of organic drone design. Modeled after the largest toothed predators on the planet, the Sperm Whale, they act as formidable guardians of the sea. The body is composed of thousands of kilometers of artificial muscle fibers layered on top of a sturdy skeletal structure. The onboard AI supercomputer is housed deep in the midsection of the body, while power supplies are spread throughout. A small missile array is located behind the upper headpiece. Torpedo tubes and a large naval ram are located on the front of the head.
>>67207497best reply I've seen in years
>>67200581>>67200592>>67200604>>67200614Sad to see that Heavy Gear has been reduced to a wargame nobody really plays and a fan-made WEG d6 series.
>>67214564That's fucking sick, totally stealing this idea for my next scifi game.
>>67215826>Literally a porta potty
>>67215892This aesthetic always gets me rock hard.
I love this aesthetic
I’m not even sure if half of these are technically mechs
I think these might be suits, that concludes all the mechs I have
>>67221201What the hell why is Jesus in there, I never noticed that before
>>67207699The Far Side is the greatest comic strip ever.
