What would happen to a werewolf on the moon?
>>66723811They would become a super-werewolf.
>>66723811Depends on which side they are on.
>>66723811cures their lycanthropy, as the curse is burned out by being over exposed. really, 9/10 times, it results in death
>>66723811They choke and die
>>66723811They would become werehumans, turning into people at full Earth.
I actually had a campaign where a nazi werewolf cult stole a moon rock.Well.... they wanted to create a super ss werewolf apocalypse It was all bad for the pcs... they got bit and turned into savage beasts.
>>66723811Nobody would hear them howl...Their lungs would explode and their blood would boil...Soon after they would be frozen solid.OrEverything is fine until they die of sheer boredom.
He's fine as long as he doesn't look down
>>66723999Ah but anon, that's not a silver bullet.
>>66723811The Nazis will detect and neutralize it.
>>66723811>What would happen to a werewolf on the moon? They'd turn into a Werewolf whenever the Earth was full. I mean, they'd also die, but lets assume for the sake of the argument either the moon has air and other 'being alive conditions' (like in the cartoons) or they're in a cozy biodome.
>>66724049I guess that would depend on the fictional limitations you place on that fictional werewolf. Being launched into the sun isn't a silver bullet either....But the werewolf would still be fucked.
>>66724199But isn't the Moon tidally locked? So you'd never see the Earth set from the Moon?
>>66724233>But isn't the Moon tidally locked? So you'd never see the Earth set from the Moon? You're right, I was questioning that myself because I knew the moon was tidally locked as well.Google says the photo was taken during one of their shuttle ascensions/descents, so it gives the illusion of the earth 'setting'. The earth would still go through phases though just like the moon does, but I guess it'd always just be sitting square in the middle of the sky at all times?
In most games that I've played werewolves are living beings cursed with lycanthropy.Silver is a effective element to be used to kill a werewolf but its not the only means, at least not in the games I've played. They would likely suffer the same fate as any other living being exposed to the harsh environment of outer space.Oh..And wolves don't actually howl at the moon. That's a myth also.
>>66724267Well not the 'middle' depending where you land, like if the shuttle had been closer to the 'horizon' the Earth would be higher in the sky and possibly visible if stationary.
Would standing on the near side of the Moon count as being out at daytime for a vampire?
>>66723811Y'know, I imagine they wouldn't even assume their beast shape. Because there's no such thing as the phases of the moon, the moon isn't even in the sky anymore. I think a werewolf would be very disappointed upon arriving at the moon.
>>66723811They'll carry a harpoon
>>66723811They'd be doing the job NASA sent them to do up there.
>>66723811Suffocate and suffer catastrophic decompression.
>>66723890Based and scudpilled.
>>66724233>>66724267It's not tidally locked- that implies that it doesn't turn. The moon just turns at the exact same rate that the earth does, so we on earth only ever see the same side of it at any point in time. The term 'dark side of the moon' is a misnomer, the dark side gets the same amount of sunlight as the other side does, we just never see it from out perspective.
>>66723811The moon is cursed with lycanthropy, turning into a werewolf when the Earth is full.
I thought lycanthropic transformation was caused by moonlight, not the moon itself.
>>66724210I mean, its not like werewolf can jump out of the sun
>>66728750But what if it could?
>>66728590>The moon just turns at the exact same rate that the earth doesThat's exactly what being tidally locked means.>>66724267> but I guess it'd always just be sitting square in the middle of the sky at all times? Not quite, there are librations, so from the Moon the Earth wobbles a bit in the sky, and if you are at the edge of the far side you can actually see Earth rise and set.
>>66728720There's plenty of moonlight on the moon. Unless it is nighttime.
>>66723811A mage would feel bad and bring him back to Earth, and the two would team up to solve vampire crimes.
>>66724049https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SlWegS2sS0So this wouldn't work either?
Ok lets say for the sake of the argument that the werewolf has a werewolf sized space suit that they can't break because super science. At what point of the approach to the moon would they turn? They don't seem to turn in the day despite the moon being out, so there must be a point where it starts affecting them.
>>66723890I can hardly believe someone else has read SCUD the Disposable Assassin.
Didn't Dragonball do this? It doesn't have to be THE moon, any "full" moon/planet will do the trick. So I guess they'd turn if they saw a full earth if that is possible.
>>66729071The light of the moon should be strong enough and it should be a full moon. This means that a werewolf on the moon won't be affected because they only receive moonlight from a small fraction of the moon surface, and don't recive any light from the parts of the surface beyond the horizon.
>>66729341but he would be surrounded by moonlight
>>66723811>What would happen to a werewolf on the moon?you'd break the story teller's mind.most of the myths, superstitions, and rituals surrounding the moon were cooked-up by people that never considered (and perhaps on some level still don't) the moon to be a physical place one can go to, so to bring up that it is will cause mystique and mysticism around it to break down.
What's past is prologue! The moon is my shepherd, I shall not fear. let us not burden our remembrances with a heaviness that is gone.
>>66723891>nazi x cultso whacky dude, bet you and your dyed-bearded friends consume all the appropriate pop nerd products
>>66729623A written guarantee! It is a welcome satisfaction, for look! Hell is empty and all the devils are here!According to the scud universe, putting a werewolf on the moon is like dividing by zero. Shit gets fucked, yo.
>>66723832This but actually. The moon has some magical inherent power that causes the curse to manifest. Being exposed to it is what brings out the beastial aspect.Imagine if the person was exposed to this magical font constantly, without end. He would likely lose himself to the beast, first of all, and would grow into a horrible, awesome monster of massive proportions. Other, previously unknown effects would likely come about too, giving the monster even more scary powers.Assuming it ever got back to earth it would likely rampage for weeks on end because its had nothing to destroy for who knows how long
>>66729423Yes, but not moonlight from the entire surface of the near moon side, only that works.
"Moonlight is thought to transform some people into strange creatures to drive others mad -- Does the Moon actually posess such strange powers, or is it all just...lunacy?..."
>>66724175Or will they? ...
>>66728750Exactly..I think you've misunderstood the point being made in my earlier posts.
