Is a game or system designed for Gun Girls Gun Fu? Japanese or otherwise. Could be tacticool or crazy over-the-top Gun Kata stunts. >bonus points for mecha
>>65143510^Is there a game...I a dumb.
>>65143510Girls Frontline system when
>>65143510Why do the Japs hate FPS?
>>65143588Yes, exactly. Are there any good Jap games that could be ported for this? >>65143610Turn-based is more comfy and less adversarial, and they're mostly grass-eaters nowadays.
>>65143588You can probably refluff kancolle RPG
>>65143643There's a Kancolle rpg? That sounds great, can you link it.>>65143628Does it have to be a Japanese game?
>>65143673>Does it have to be a Japanese game?No, could be anything...except the dreaded G U R P S.
>>65143610>>65143628Say that to Hinata and see if you survive the night.
>>65143510>>65143725Have you tried Stars without numbers? It's a modern/sci-fi game. I enjoy the shooting/melee rules it uses, makes damage feel pretty consistent. You can probably fluff in dummy links in some way as that's the only odd element.
>>65143781SWN, does it have detailed gun stats and maneuvers?
>>65143673TL: anonfiles.c0m/K3u8U2w6bc/kancolle_rpg_pdfRAW: anonfiles.c0m/i0u5U2w8b6/_-_-_RPG_zipdesu i didn't actually read either. It's saikoro fiction so probably no tacticool movement and lots of player interaction
>>65143826I know there's maneuver rules for spaceships and vehicles and there's class skills for guns/martial arts, but since I'm playing a melee character I don't know if there are various fire arm maneuvers and stuff. I'd have to look it up.The skill system is set up in a way where you can usually make something up and roll a corresponding skill to it though. The skill Exert can be used in tons of situations though and even be used instead of rolling an attack roll for thrown weapons.
>>65143884Thanks ill check it out when I'm home from work.
>>65143781>fluff in dummy linksWhat does that mean?
>>65143921>totally homo fightan
>>65144119Say what you will about Palladium's Rifts system, at least there you're hitting SOMETHING 3/4 of the time.
>>65144091In girls frontline there's a mechanic where you have two or more of the same android linked up. Since the game was brought up I mentioned it.
>>65144154Aha! I understand completely now. >stilldoesn'tgetit.jpg
>>65144211OK! Now I get it.
>>65143884Thank you. I can't get to it right now but later I will take a look.
>>65144248Poor Auntie BAR.
I know for a fact that GURPS has a gun-fu book with killer action gunplay rules, and an article on how to design and play a weapon/boat/etc gijinka. So the answer is GURPS
>>65143610they have danmaku instead
>>65143610They don't, but it's sort of genre they don't make either. Call of Duty sells well in Japan for example. Also, FPS RPGs like Skyrim and Fallout are popular.
>>65143510>bonus points for mechaDon't you mean personified tank girls>>65143884Nice
>>65149231Ah, Panzer Waltz. I miss that game sometimes.
>>65149304Did something happen to it or did you just stop playing? I wish it was more popular like Kancolle/Azur Lane
>>65149331Just stopped playing after a while. There wasn't much to do besides try and figure out which specific team they wanted you to take to each of the endgame missions and I eventually picked up Girls Frontline instead.
GURPS unironically as it has rules for Upotte characters.
>>65143921Why didn't Chris just Boulder Punch him into oblivion? Just one punch should be enough to make his internal organs explode
>>65144216Girl's Frontline is a gacha game, where you roll for each of the dolls. If you get multiple copies of one, you can add in "dummy links", extra bodies controlled by the main doll that act as squadmates. The joke here is that 416 (the girl in the image) is one of the most common dolls to get (she even says "i'm all you need" when you roll her) while G11 is the strongest doll in the game but also the rarest
>>65150180God bless David Pulver for being the weirdo we need
>>65143510Fragged Empire. Easy to refluff and mod how you want. Can do everything down to the base-building components. There have been rumors floating around that there is a group that has been working on a Strike Witch/Girls Frontline/Kancolle conversion.
>>65150180Does it actually? What sort of rules>>65150298and i've not even heard about this, is the rulebook on the trove?
>>65150332It has templates and guidelines for "Anthromorphosized High Tech Weapons" including thinly veiled rules for Kancolle and Strike Witches esque characters.
>>65143510There's some decent variety of gun girl options in Nechronica.
>>65150332Pyramid issue 97
>>65143510Feng Shui 1 or 2, Hong Kong Action Theater, Saturday Night Gunfight, and there's a Japanese game called Saturday Night Special, which is basically a Black Lagoon RPG. Untranslated and unripped, though. You could kitbash Shadowrun or GURPS into a gunfighting system. If you're feeling more narrative, Three Rocketeers' dueling system can be tweaked into gunfights.
>>65150410That sounds pretty great actually, i'll have to find that>>65151262Thanks
>>65143510Dungeons the Dragoning 40k 7th ed.It's got gun-kata styles. That's not the main focus- because there's no such thing as 'focus' in DtD, but it's a major aspect of combat, at least in the mid-to-late game.
>>65150224This is what a fight scene written by people who have no idea about fighting looks like.>>65143921My nigga
>>65150273>The joke here is that 416 (the girl in the image) is one of the most common dolls to getBitch I keep rolling AR recipes and I'm getting everything under the sun and she still won't pop out again. But I know if I use dummy cores to level her up I'll roll her next thing.
>>65143610It just never caught on to the same degree it did in Europe and the Americas. There are some fans though, like the Doom mapping community did a map pack a couple years ago that was nothing but contributions from Japanese Doom players.Quake has a small following too, with IV getting referenced in Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro. And Russians in Far East Russia get the best connections to Quake Champions from the Tokyo servers.
>>65143921>that movie>Leon's moves in itI did not know what I was getting into with that movie, but I was not expecting pic related
>>65151262Christ, GURPS really does have everything.
>>65151262>israeli missile destroyer girlneat
>>65143510Maybe Ops & Tactics? It has a very good selection of guns to choose from and has fun combat.
>>65143610They're console players. TPS games are incredibly popular in japan.
>>65151262Where can I find it
>>65143588I'd play it. Doing 404th-tier operating would be fun.
>>65154677Why would you want that shitgun when the objectively superior in every way SOPMOD exists?
>>65159296Because she's cuter. The fuck kind of question is that?
>>65143610When they run out of ammo they just end up bonzai charging the screen.
>>65155210She'll get upgraded one day.
>>65159514You speak foolishness
>>65150273Is 416 really that common? I thought she had high rarity.
>>65159987out of all 5 star ARs, she seems to show up the most. That couple with her personality (all you need) and relative uselessness have raised her to meme status
>>65159987She's 5* but a lot of common recipes have her as a possible result, in theory. So you may end up rolling her while aiming for something else.
Why are you not using GURPS to run the Azur Lane/Kantai Collection/Girls Frontline crossover of your dreams?>Anthropomorphized high-tech weapons and combat vehicles are modern weapons such as tanks, aircraft, ships, or even guns that have assumed a life of their own and taken human form. Others are people who wield artifacts that turn a ship or airplane into a battlesuit, which also shares some of the characteristics of the original archetype.>The best-known depictions of these powers are the mecha musume (mecha girls) that appear in some Japanese anime, games, and Internet memes, but they need not be limited to anime-influenced campaigns – they are also suitable for supers, science-fantasy, or monster-hunter settings.>This is the power to embody certain traits of a mechanical weapon or weapon system, such as a gun, tank, or combat aircraft. Someone with this set of abilities may even be the essence or soul of an iconic weapon or fighting vehicle come to life in humanoid form – a martial embodiment of the animist belief that everything, or at least certain valued objects, possesses their own spirits. Other possible origins include anthropomorphic weapons that are sacred tools of a particular war god, ghostly weapons formed from a fusion of spirits of ace pilots or crew with their destroyed vehicle that have returned to fight again, or even martial toys. Weapon avatars could also simply exist as a superscience or divergent-technology battlesuit created by gadgeteers and powered by psychic or magical energy. Perhaps in an alternative universe, conventional tanks, aircraft, or ships don’t even exist!>For instance, a personified warship might be the spirit of a warship given human form, with supernatural durability and the ability to use the spiritual power to energize a variety of wearable devices. Such an entity might have:>• Headgear resembling antenna.>• Strap-on and hand weapons like gun turrets or launchers.

No time to explain, Here's a Tank Sluts: 40k Doujin!
>>65166878This is why you don't make Beakies into Space Wolves
>>65160203I can't believe this is a thing. But it is.Thanks, GURPS.
