>>64566596>TQThe Race Card is pretty good.
REading Sheldons areticle on "What If "Banned As A Commander" Came Back?"Makes me realize what a shitter he is.
>>64566596>What card(s) do you like for reasons outside of gameplay?Debt to the Deathless is a pretty good card but the real reason I like it is the art. Innistrad-RTR era was when I first got into Magic as a turbo-casual and that card was probably one of the best-looking cards I owned at the time.
>>64566700Ah Invoke prejudice, I too appreciate the subtle art of old mtg
>>64566802That edit always gets me.
Why are a bunch of random nonreserved list cards getting bought out?First skull clamp, now spellskite and goblin guide.
>>64566596>What card(s) do you like for reasons outside of gameplay?Foglio has a ton of gems.
>>64566596>TQLeovold is pretty cool thematically in context to how real world politics are.
>>64566802>that cunt pays the costThis edit is never not funny.
>>64566596>What card(s) do you like for reasons outside of gameplay?Art, for the most part. I like it better when the art is conceptual rather than a literal interpretation of the action, of course some cards are better suited for this than others. I would love to one day build a deck with cards that have my favorite art. Nielsen, Guay, and McKinnon for the most part but I have no idea of what the theme would be. Also, I would appreciate input on this deck that I'm building. It's a Tiana auras deck with ways to stop my opponents from doing things while I beat them up with voltron'd creatures or pull out one of my combos. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/tianas-arrest/?cb=1549867687
>>64566830Athreos, petitioners, thrumming stone
>>64566934I hate cards like this that are all upside with tremendous value for such a low cmc.
>>64567002I dont know its pretty cool for Eternal formats to be honest.I hate playing commanders that are more then 4 cmc unless you are in green, even then you just have to waste the first 2 turns trying to ramp.3-4 for commanders imo is the sweet spot.
>>64566939>>64566821>>64566802>>64566700haha yeah i was 15 once too
Show me the way......To tap this dirty elf for all the 1/1s
>>64567039If you can't see the humor in 1994 WOTC asking an artist to depict the most prejudice art he can think of, so he makes the fucking KKK, and not only does wizards OK it, but mass produces it in packs, then you're the one who needs to grow up.
>>64567043This is what I'm working with.http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/tippy-tap-soldiers/?cb=1549868464
>>64567076Very nice, alot of great ideas. Thanks
>>64567043It's a shame she isn't in blue for all that sweet sweet twiddle.
>>64567043it's not the tappage that is hardit is the untappage m y friend
>>64567043Emmara, Honor-Worn Shaku, Paradox Engine, Isochron Scepter with literally anything on it that doesn't have a timing restriction.Paradox Engine is such a busted card.
>>64567074it's like if wotc had asked an artist to depict a jolly man so he drew santa claus. wow. hilarious. my sides are in orbit.
>>64567507Would it be more funny to you if you knew the cards multiverse ID was 1488?
>>64567507A santa claus in a completely unrelated fantasy setting on some alternate planet would be hilarious, though.
>>64566958Wait is athreos going up?I still have one from years ago and my Athreos deck sucks shit so I might just sell it.
>>64566958What do you even do with Athreos?
>>64567596Sacrifice mostly. Also target the person with the least health or the person most likely to give you your creature back whenever something dies.
>>64567043song of freyaliseearthcraftcryptolith ritechord of callingconclave tribunalmarch of the multitudesheritage druid
>>64567603I meant, how would you even build in a way that's decent? He's not Pharika tier, but he's still pretty low in the 15.
>>64567618i think its reasonable to argue that BW sacrifice type decks have enough support in the 99 to be reasonably powerful without a very strong commander, and that a 3 drop indestructible commander has a reasonable floor power level
>>64567618https://edhrec.com/commanders/athreos-god-of-passage-shadowborn_apostle-themeMight explain the thrumming stone thing too I guess.
>>64567596You use him in 1v1 EDH and end up second at the event, right behind Gitrog
Opinions on Nahiri for a voltron commander?
>>64567558It basically doubled its value>>64567596Teysa edh. Which is the reason it went up a 115%. So nerds can pay overblown prices to play a memedeck
>>64567974Generally you want a creature as the commander of your voltron deck because the whole point of a voltron deck is to kill everybody with commander damage.
>tolaria west price just shot up to the moonfuck man, my predictions are so accurate i sometimes scare myself....
>tfw hate infinite combos>tfw also hate expensive as fuck cards>most infinite based decks are cheaper than value grinding decks, because they rely on janky interactions rather than playing Pushed Mythic #23017(tm)>most commanders that interest me (Rakdos Grenzo and Mairsil for example) are better used for infinites rather than valueHow do I solve this moral dilemma?
>>64568370Infinite combos are the final form of value.
>>64568400All I want is an interesting deck that wins through creature beats/burn and answering threats rather than jerking off in the corner, and doesn't cost as much as a small car. But unless I have Scarab God and Snappy and Clique and this and that it seems like a vain effort.
>>64568184>I just bought 200 tolaria wests guys!
>>64568518i'm not a burger and i just spoke about it here.
Any interesting group hug build? I got a fairly new EDH group and I want all my friends to have fun but I don't want to the play the gays. Edhrec doesn't help me much.
>>64568370What about mono red grenzo and etali? All value, no combo, don't seem to be that expensive.
>>64568498Play Temur Timmystuff with either Maelstrom Wanderer or Surrak.
>>64568558Kami of the Crescent Moon.
>>64568184I admit it was quite spot on, ensnaring bridge was your second prediction if i remember correctly?
>>64568600Indeed anon. If this one happen to be right too i'll share with y'all my next batch of predictions soon.
>>64568589Not the same guy, but I'm interested. Does it win without Labman?
>>64568667it can, but thats no fun by itself
>>64568736That's pretty fucked up, I like it. Just go for Owling Mine outside of that?
>>64568558>interesting>group hugpick 1 and only 1
Are there any token producers that also have built in sac outlets? The ones that come to mind off the top of my head are vamp skellie and knight captain of eos. Any others? Oh also ghoul caller Gisa.
>>64566830Tax return season. Expect retarded price changes.
>>64568566Tbh I'm burnt out on monored decks at this point (pun not intended)>>64568579Not feeling Surrak at all, his purpose seems to be to just make expensive goodstuff more goodstuffy. Wanderer might be interesting though.>>64569283Ghave is an obvious one
>>64568768ye, its pretty much your general too. just discard to cast shit while no one else can respond.
>>64568184So, how much is it over there in america. As always, europe remains stable, thanks mcm, fuck american finance fags.
What's the most crazy and an unconventional strategy you came up with? And with what commander?
>>64569880Sometimes I feel like just casting creatures and turning them sideways is an unconventional strategy in EDH
>>64569899This desu. My Anafenza hatebears pumps its bears and swings to win. It really confuses the players at my table. They do terrible blocks because they can't believe I would offer trades so they get paranoid.
>>64569880No removal, no boardwipe, monowhite lifegain deckLena, Selfless ChampionSurprisingly won 5 out of 7 games in a night
>>64568736This is absolutely devilish. I might just have to build this myself
>>64569880Multani's grouphug stax voltron (suicide)
>>64569880Zurgo group slug with some ways to turn off creature abilitys
>>64563974>>64563780Here's the Trostani deck as requested
>>64567039It appears you still are
>>64570352It's inspired by the Isamaru suicide voltron (control) archetype.
>>64567043XD PARADOX ENGINE XDDEFINITELY NOT SICK OF SEEING THAT CARD IN LITERALLY EVER LISTNONOT AT ALL
>>64570408Paradox engine isn't even good, the cards you use around it are. It does zero things by itself, doesn't win the game, and while it enables cheeky cuntery, it can be turned off real fucking easy.
>>64570281>Precursor golem My God...
>>64570423>Islands aren't even good
>>64570424Possibly the best card in the deck. Make a token precursor golem, target it with Sundering Growth. Get dozens of populate triggers. If you have a witness token populate that once and get your Sundering back. Repeat a few time and you have tens of thousands of populate triggers.
>>64570423>It does zero things by itselfIt's a good thing you have a deck of 98 other cards then7+1 of which even start in your opening hand (wow!)
>>64568629I hope you're not right but I bought four ensnaring bridges after your previous call because one of my friends has been bugging me to give modern a shot and the only deck that looks fun is lantern control. If it does end up spiking too thanks for the warning.
>64570386you got a list of that? Seems interesting
>simic player shits out 4 lands on turn 2>I Armageddon on turn 3>Suddenly I'm the bad guy
What are some of the usual wincons for Yidris- I get that you'll be wanting wheels and similar effects to keep your hand topped up, and chunks of stuff with cascade / multicast effects for 40lb of value, but are there any cards for him that are massive wincons, or is it more of "just outvalue everyone"There's stormy playstyles as well I guess although I'm not sure that works well as the storm proper cards are single target so not the best for EDH and there's the risk of cascading into them at the wrong time, ditto with X spells.
>>64569880I play Experiment Kraj ooze tribal as a meme deck
>>645698805 color basic landsUses child of alara
>>64567043Umbral Mantle and some way to produce infinite mana. Boom
>>64570470>lantern controlThe only patrician choice, and one of the only fun deck to pilot in modern, tho prepare yourself to see an avalanche of brainlets, memedern don't attract the brightest usually, even if there aresome exceptions.Anyway you are welcome, i'm glad there are few anons i can be useful too. I also believe my next predictions will be very useful to you because it's not only cards who are alrdy somewhat pricey but also cards in the 1-5$ range who will soon see a noticeable rise in value.
>>64571339I bet the deck look nice behind this potato fog.
>>64571466Jesus Christ frogfag you pathetic sad sack, you get one compliment ans you parade around like you just won Prettiest Princess 2019. Maybe stop being an attention whore. I doubt anyone smart cares about your predictions or is otherwise impressed by your track record.P.S. Avatarfagging will still get you reported and banned.
>>64571539>autism in it's purest formAnd i am a princess, i play sissylesnia shalai.
>>64571339fucking guided passage based edh card
>>64571466i'll wait for those 1-5 $ cards, i ain't forgetting
>>64571618Its very good as long as the three worst cards in your deck are still good cards or you have a table that needs a particular kind of removal.
Who are your favorite commanders overall?
>>64571646true, i run it in a jodah deck where everything is fucking stupid, beside some ramp stuff all is pretty dangerous. Tho i think it brings something fun to the whole playgroup
>build deck list>Feel it is pretty close to final, only playtests will ever change the list and even then by maybe 3-5 cards>Go to order> More than double your usual deck budgetFuck me
>>64571695>Buying edh decks>Not using cards already in your collection
>>64571712But I have no collection.
>>64571774what commander are you running?
>>64571622aaahhh it's better!>bring to light>guided passage>trygon predator>OG demonic tutorVery nice anon.Tho even if OG art demonic is one of my favorite art, the card being the only white bordered card trigger my autism very much. You should try to upgrade it to a fbb version so i can calm my tits.
>>64567043wow, what a slut
>>64571861Lord Windgrace. Who says he needs to be in a lands deck? His +2 is just simply great, turning dead draws into live ones. Getting to tormenting voice every turn for 0 mana is just good. I also use him to pitch spells for mizzix mastery, flashback and so on. His -3 ramps extremely well too. His ult also is very good and relevant for the deck. Moreover, as a Planeswalker he doesn't die to the weather that the deck runs.
>>64571974Do you have a list? By the way you talk it seems fun to run
Give me your favourite Sissilesnian draw / card advantege stuff Bonus points if they can be played while Teeg is on the table, extra bonus points if it's not an ETB trigger, extra special super bonus points if they don't care about pic related
>>64566934Ye but isn't he banned
>>64572047Here's a slightly outdated version of the list I run today, doesn't have a few new things like Bedevil and certain others were cut, like galvanoth.http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/jund-spellslinger-4/
>>64572071yes he is
>>64566596my playgroup is going all out on hatebears, control and pillowforting their board. How i can counter this? going aggro deck and hope they don't blow me in 5 turn?
>>64572055>CA- tireless tracker- palace jailer- renegade rallier- evolutionary leap- sylvan library- recruiter of the guard- sun titan- duskwatch recruiter- thraben inspector- stoneforge>land CA- weathered wayfarer- land tax- boreal charger- knight of the white orchid- loam- displacer- militia burgler- ranger of eos- emeria- proclamation of rebirthThose are the CA cards i currently run in my sissylesnia decks. >>64572206fug i messed up my lists, half what is listed inthe land CA should be on the list on top.
>>64572200Uncounterable fatties with trample. Either they lose the Hatebears or get BTFO by combat damage. As for pillow fort, you've gotta run stuff like Bane of Progress.
>>64569283sai, pia, marsh flitter, pia and kiran, seige gang commander, basically all of the eldrazi token creators (cause you can sac them for mana)
>>64572206>>64572231Nice. Thanks for that list, fren. There's some spicy stuff on there that I didn't thought or even knew about yet.
>>64571832NVM then lol
>>64571879>You should try to upgrade it to a fbb version so i can calm my tits.I know it bothers me tooThat and the white border city of brass
My favorite decks I have build right now is Azami, Nahiri and Experiment Kraj, which deck should I make deck?
>>64570423>T1: Land, Sol ring, Mana Crypt>T2: Land, Paradox Engine, Serum Vision, untap my mana rock, cast blue mana rock, cast blue mana rock, cast blue mana rock, cast azami, tap draw, cast spell, draw, cast spell, draw...

When would you?
>>64572435How often do you stumble upon fbb cards in the US of A? Is it a "common" occurence in LGS binders or is it pretty rare?
>>64572553Never ever ever, ever. It's the kind of cards who back fire so hard it can single handedly lose you the game.
>>64572553In response to a "return all lands from grave" effect.
>>64572553>>64572625in response to mass land destruction i think?
>>64572586I find that if people have them, they are in edh decks, rarely in binders. That being said pimpage is very common in my local area so I see then often enough.
>>64572553Whenever I leave 1W open
What is the best way to build Abzan Anafensa?
>>64572686Nice to hear, what are the languages prefered by burgers usually?
>>64572737Japanese and Russian. Sometimes you see Korean but for the most part Korean and Italian see seen as lesser.
>>64572717As karador. She's just not high impact enough.
>>64572520I think Duskwatch Recruiter and maybe Tireless Tracker would fit nicely in my Teeg deck. I have a pretty low mana cruve so I'm not sure if I should run land ca stuff. What kind of Selesnia decks do you run btw ?
>>64572779But anon, FBB only exist in french, german and italian.. It's the first batch of the revised edition printed for europe in early 1994.
XDD6457255When I'm chilling with my Slavic Merfu wife, about to get some aguapoon. Duh retard
I have never played superfriends deck, what commander should I go with if I want to play superfriends?
>>64572939Is this what peak autism looks like?
Times are hard and had to sell some of my decks. Had some pretty rad stuff there that I might never see again. How do you get over this feeling man?
>>64572994Stop attaching emotions to things.
>>64572857Ah it's for a gaddock deck? You should have told me earlier anon!Tireless tracker is the most insane value generator you can imagine, it's only once you play it you can understand how broken she is, especially efficient if you have a good manabase (ie with fetches). Do you plan to play some combos or go full hatebear? And i have shalai and emmara.>>64572956I would go for junk, gruul, bant or syssilesnia, those are the colors with the best pw, and the most way to abuse them, especially the tokens strategies. One thing is sure : you want to play green.
>>64572933Foriegn black borders? Oh is that not just any foriegn black border cards? Cause I gotta be honest I just googled it before replying I actually hadn't heard that phrase until today
>>64572956Never played a superfriends deck either but Atraxa is the obvious choice.Aminatou or Captain Sissay could also work but you'll only have 3 / 2 colors of walkers to choose from.
>>64572994>How do you get over this feeling man?I don't because i would prefer to kms rather than to be forced to sell my decks.
>>64567507imagine being this much of a Debby Downer
>>64573012>be a sociopath like meLmao
>>64573034>Foreign black borders? Yes, and it's a name given specifically to designate a black bordered revised set (who was only availible in europe, revised was only white bordered normally, it was also released white bordered in yuropoor afterward). Which is why fbb cards are pretty sought after, because it's your only option to have some cards like duals, wheel, and various others RL cards and OG arts in black borders without having to pick ultra expensive alpha/beta.I can understand it could be confusing for americans since fbb don't give any hint about pointing to a specific set.
>>64572994I sold a Sakashima deck a few years ago for about $800. Had stuff in it like JTMS, FoW, and other goodies. Worst decision ever.
XDD64572977Yeah you'd know faggot good one
>>64573030>You should have told me earlier anon! But I did!I have the GW pain fetch and a Karametra that i want to test in the deck. They should work good with Tireless tracker. Will play the deck for the first time later today so this is all only theory yet but I tried to build the deck around hatebears with a gw weenie subtheme. Do you run Harvest Season in your deck(s)? Didn't saw that on your list but it's really good in token decks
How do I make Lavinia, Azorius Renegade a fun deck for opponents that still has a bureaucracy theme?
>>64573258Then i wish you good luck anon! Don't mind to post your list? I'll try to give you a tip or two if i can.>Do you run Harvest Season in your deck(s)?No and this time around you are the one enlightening me. The card is indeed very cool and i never tried it yet. Sound especially powerful alongside earthcraft. I'll definitely give it a try. thanks!
>>64573294As a fellow Lavinia owner, i advise you to NOT build her. She is the most boring general i've ever had the displeasure to play, and i have a cedh-tier list.
>>64572553Maybe in noyan dar?
>>64573408>cedhOk got you, opinion discarded.
I was thinking about build a commander around Licia, but beside the obvious lifegain theme, what can be built around her? Have you ever tried her Anon?
Which are some creature cards with artifact-hate?
>>64573506Think about it in a different way: does she represent a good wincon for a lifegain deck? I think the answer could be yes. Lifegain synergies are pretty powerful alone, coupled with a light Voltron component could be cool.
>>64573481It's only a friendly advice anon... You will not only be bored but also look like a faggot by playing her.
>>64573162In that case noThey are not very common at all lol
>>64573506Yeah I've seen a build of hers do some damage. It can be slow though
how does hatebears win? my local meta is big creatures anyway so my assortment of 2/2's won't do much to stop me from getting ran over.
>>64573722Hatebears isn't for those metas. In cEDH metas hatebears completely shut down the way those decks win, and decks like CVT don't exactly pack a bunch of blockers so you just attack them while they are paralyzed.Hatebears decks get weaker and weaker the more "fair" a meta is. You will legit lose to crawl wurms bashing your face in fueled by a pile of basics.
>>64572553when playing this
Which is the best deck archetype to succeed in a meta full of control/combo?
>>64573612You remember anything from that?
>>64573722You can try to pump your hatebears with various lords or anthems-like cards like pic related, or play things like sidar to not care about fatties blocking your little dudes.

>>64573379Thanks. I'll report back later how it went. Don't have a list online. Maybe I'll do one for the next thread

>>64576597How are the netherlands by this time of the year, Max?
>>64576597How will Europe ever recover?
>>64576559You either go azusa and crucible/Ramunap Excavator OR you need to loop something like splendid reclamation. We're talking like two creatures on board one to bounce things so deadeye or temur sabertooth and something that can return a card from the yard to your hand on etb. Then we also need splendid reclaimation. Another loop would be a way to recur world shaper and a sac outlet. So a Muldrotha deck probably.
>>64576559Land tax + azusa + wheel of sun and moon.
Anyone know any fun monogreen cards that don't get played in every single deck?

Which sets have the best foils? how is alara block and zendikar block foils?
>>64577693Old foils pre-8th edition in general, so from urza to onslaught. The mailman brought me some of them today, i wish you could see how gorgeous they looks like. Especially the multicolored foils borders, i'm holding an edgewalker foil rn in my hand and i'm almost into tears because it's so beautiful.
>>64577693New Phyrexia is amazing.Alara is mediocre and very cheap because they sold all-foil packs. I haven't seen enough Zendikar but I think I remember them being dark.
>>64576291seems to be real, some comic book guy and his kickstarter
>>64578166Yeah, it's for Steve Lichman and the guy is a magic artist. I honestly didn't know what would be in the booster or if it's even random. Didn't want to spam the thread with custom cards but I hoped they would be funny.
which channels got some fun content for actual gameplay? already watch lrr, goldfish, game knights. not a big fan of commander vs
>>64577388Aminatou is some ridiculous bullshit with stax like stasis and other lock pieces. Can flicker anything to reuse it or untap it, any permanent which includes lands, can flicker planeswalkers to double activate them. Can reset fading on Tangle Wire, reset your smokestack when you feel like it's done enough, and can combo off with Chain Veil pretty quickly.
>>64578318I've never seen it but mtg mudstah is another one.
>>64573506Aside from Chandra's Ignition and red Fight cards, are there any other notable spells that make your creatures the actual source of the damage? One of those plus Lifelink could gain you a lot of life at once for a Licia discount.
>>64578483Thanks for the insight anon. But optimally i would like to keep green to abuse stasis with wilderness reclamation, garruk wildspeaker and scryb ranger + mana dork
>>64577599You are like a little baby
>>6457769310th edition has some really nice ones, if not for the foiling, but templating.
>>64578483Aminatou really pissed me off, although I fucking love the card. I've been running Esper flicker for like 6 years or some shit. It's my oldest deck, and my pet deck. Then this little bitch gets printed and everyone and their mom builds it, and she's fucking awesome so pragmatically, there's no reason to run my frenchfu Merieke over herIt's pretty goddamn gay anon.
>>64578935I'm sitting here with a fairly tuned hard control Oloro deck and just thinking how much stronger it would be if Aminatou was my commander. Hell, it even prevents damage like Oloro since people are busy attacking into her.
What are some interesting and unusual directions I could take this lad? I don't want to do the typical token swarm strategy. Thread Question: Goblin Offensive. You know why.

>>64579269Yeah, that's why they had to errata Marath so X can't be 0.
>>64579133I see I haven't updated it in 5 months on tappedout, just give me a few moments.
>>64579269It enters and then immediately dies as a state-based action. ETBs and LTBs both trigger, and I believe they're put on the stack in an order that the active player chooses.

>>64579312I think that they didn't have enough space on the card, so it was intentional. Otherwise Marath would have been biggest brainfart they ever made, for it'd be a literal one card infinite combo.
>>64579389Dude I JUST said Marath got errataed so he can't make 0/0s anymore.

>>64576432These are starting to look familiar
>>64566596I like all my angels for reasons outside of gameplay. they're pretty.
>>64579511I've no ideas bud, but if you make an order big enough it will end up being worth it for sure, esepecially if you target RL cards where the price difference is huge on some cards. Ask a professional seller, they are used to send to the US for a lot of them. Totally randomly i would say something like 10$? I mean it can't be so expensive, i orders cards from canada and japan pretty often on mcm.
>>64579126>Mechanized Productioni'm surprised the card didn't shot up in price even a little with rhystic money out there.
>>64579408It was not intentional. They would never intentionally print a card with the incorrect rules. Marath needs the "X can't be 0".

>>64579133>>64579367http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/oloro-control-26-01-14-1/There we go, updated Oloro deck.>>64579139It lets you reset saga's like Fall of the Thran and The Eldest Reborn every turn, allowing for repeated MLD / sac / discard, incredibly strong with lockdown effects like Stasis, Winter Orb and Static Orb, since it can untap one permanent a turn. Allows you to double dip planeswalkers like Tezzeret so he can tutor two artifacts a turn to establish your lock (gets static orb AND the manarocks you want), allows you to flicker stuff like Perplexing Chimera and Gilded Drake to return it to your side of the board every turn, its plus ability turns all your "tutor to top of library" cards into tutor to hand, and allows you to abuse miracle / top of card effects repeatedly, can go off really hard with ETB / Chain Veil activations etc. Aminatou is overall super strong.
>>64579884On MCM ? Report him, cancelling due to spikes can get your store shut down.

>>64579988>this happens about 25% of the time I dip into anything older than 8th editiondamn the kikery is strong in burgerland. If Pr Dommergue was still of this world he would say it's a secondary effect of mass circumcision and the consequences it have on the endocrinal system & hypotrophy of the adrenal glands, provoking a lack of empathetic behaviors and an hypertrophy of the speculative mindset, characteristic of the jewish (ie circumcised) mentality, and he would probably be right.
>>64579972It's like that here in burgerland too, people will do damn near anything to avoid a negative review on almost any website like tcgplayer or amazon.
>>64579908>Gilded Drake to return it to your side of the board every turnOk no more, you got me there anon. Time fo me to get a swamp monkey doing magical stuff.
Hey, /edhg/. I'm currently building a mono white deck with Atalya, Samite Master at the helm. The goal of the deck is to simply turtle up and gain a bunch of life, eventually winning with Aetherflux Res or Felidar Sovereign. What are the best pillowfort cards in mono white? I already have a Stax deck so I'm straying away from that strategy. Thank you!
>>64567507cringe and beta
I have finally learned the reason for having master of cruelties after losing to a dude that got some infinite life combo.but I don't want to get one of my angelwaifus out for a master of cruelties
>>64580162I like the webcomic but $13 for a pack of 15 cards(I also can't find if they're randomized or what), and $55 for two hardcover books is a bit out of my price range.
>>64580229>I'm straying away from that strategyB-but anon, it's the only way to stall the game long enough =/ You don't have much more options left in white..Unless...Unless you build a Parfait deck with a miracle subtheme!*nostalgia kick in*
>>64580247Huh. I just killed someone today with MoC indirectly and he was playing combo, apparently. I rarely play the deck.
>>64580305I got killed by it once.I just feel it takes away from the timmy fun of the game to just poke a guy out of the game out of the blueI gotta say I would play it just to get out of an absolute "can't win" situation, but it's a slippery slope to the "turn 5: master of cruelties->bolt" sort of play>>64580344going to upload it now
>>64580170Thank you Dr Apu
>>64580250Yeah it was very expensive. There is a pokemon parody card that looks way more accurate than the mtg cards too so that's a shame. I guess he really was nervous of pissing wotc off but I wish they had been more playable.
>>64580297I play in a fairly low-powered group so I’m not too worried about opponents combo’ing off; I pretty much want to sit behind a ghostly prison and gain life. I’m a simple man.
>>64580247I assume you're playing Kaalia? You might as well go full archenemy, since everyone and their mothers are going to be gunning for you once the game starts anyways, unless after like 10 games in a row they finally realize you're playing a jank deck, and even then your table and strangers will still go after you, because fuck T3-4 8drop Avacyn.
>>64580434Then parfait should fit the bill anon.First thing first : do you own a land tax & scroll rack?
>>64580437I don't even run avacyn or iona due to budget constraintseven exquisite archangel is out
>>64580357Well, usually MoC needs to be cheated out like through Kaalia or Alesha, at least where I live. If scary thing like that is cast and it can't attack immediately, usually it doesn't survive a rotation or it never gets through.
>>64580464Just looked it up online; is it a legacy build that I could apply to an edh deck? I’m planning on scooping up a land tax when I throw together my initial build of the deck, scroll rack is definitely something I’d like to get in the future.
How many cards that get discounted by Jet Medallion / Ruby Medallion etc do you think you should have before it's worth it?
>>64580614Yep, it's an old build from vintage during early mtg who was then adapted to legacy. It's about wraths and card advantage.
I'm looking for an artifact or black/white enchantment that adds tokens to my board during my upkeep. what other cards operate similar to Assemble the Legion?
>>64580731good ol' bitterblossom and pic related

>>64580844that looks like a fun card, except i would probably have to give everyone else zombies before i finally get my own. neat tho
>play literally anything>one guy tries to politic everyone into attacking youHow do I escape the never ending nightmare that is playing with randoms?
>>64580968Embrace being the archenemy.
>>64580962yep, to be abused you need to build around. I never did it myself but i guess the basis are :-high density of creatures (zombie? reanimator shell?)- some self mill action (hermit druid?)- anti-grave action for opponents only (bojuka, leyline of the void)I bet sidisi would be a good fit :- mill yourself a lil each time she hit the board - produce zombie tokens too (we can imagine a subtheme with few zombie lords to give swampwalk or graveborn muse to draw etc,)- have U and G for mill action (evolutionary leap, survival of fittest,etc...)
>>64581053I'm actually working on a teysa brew. Put a lot of brainstorming into it, just trying to replace Hidden Stockpile with something a bit spicier. I forbid myself from playing Nim Deathmantle.I just stumbled across pic related on edhrec. $8 but cheaper than bitterblossom and good synergy.https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/teysa-soul-split/filth + urborg combo would be nice to fit in. also elspeth sun champion
>>64580968just get better at poiticing. if you cant convince people at the table you are not the threat then you probably are the threat
>>64581246sweet, i'll take a look in few minutes, but just opening the page i didn't saw any anointed procession, you forgot to add it?
>>64581329its on the wishlist in the description :^)pls gib feedback
What's the most fun four color commander?
>>64581414Played way too many near-identical Atraxa decks for me to consider her fun
>>64580229>Aetherflux ResCould you be any more boring?>Felidar SovereignGarbage, use Test of Endurance instead or in addition.>>64580690I usually like 30 applicable targets for the medallions.
>>64581436Then build her differently. Jesus kid, she's four colors.
>>64581436Play doomsday clock. Just one poison counter and Atraxa starts ticking down.
>>64569880one of my friends has an arcane-matters deckthe commander is big zurgo
>>64581246OG teysa, dross harvester for stupid amounts of life gain, Midnight reaper, Sangromancer.
>>64581383Well your list looks very fine to me anon. I don't have much to advise.Maybe trying to fit a Hallowed Spiritkeeper would be neat here. I didn't saw athreos who is the big hyped thing rn in teysa apparently..I think wurmcoil could have a place, 4x 3/3 aint no joke. As fatties ashen rider and archon of justice are decent options too.Dusk // dawn would fit a comfy double purpose of reanimating all your lil critters and wiping the opponent's board. And that's all i can think of from the top of my min- oh wait, just for the lulz i would add revels in riches as alternative wincon. >double your treasures with teysa>double your doubling with anointed procession>smothering tithe>end up submerged under a ton of treasures>live the cryptopirate dream
>>64581406I think they're all pretty fun aside from Saskia. I don't really like the tunnel vision she encourages. But the rest all have their great points. Breya gives you all the good ways to play around with artifacts if that's your thing. Yidris is all about sweet value. Atraxa has the most flexibility of any commander ever, and has a good keyword soup on top of it. And the gay kings have a bit of a reputation for being group hug, but if you make good use of landfall, draw triggers, and the right threats you can easily turn yourself into the archenemy.
>>64581383Oh and i forgot to mention it but contamination would be very powerful here, the duress becoming an advantage. Tho it can be a pretty 'feels bad' card depending of your pod. Overall considering how fast black market will stack + rhystic money winter orb would probably do big job.
>>64581541Yeah midnight reaper looking real good. I would consider Sangromancer only as tech against decks that self-mill because I dont rly like making my friends' discard excessively. i need to look up this dross harvester never heard of it>>64581621yeah im gonna just buy anointed procession the deck is named soul split ffs its like a gaping hole without it. pfft the treasure win option is bonkers lolI took out archon of justice maybe because im dumb. I felt like the opponent will rob me of value if I try to use it as a nice flying body. I dont want to intentionally sac one of my big bodies, but... even if i do, its still a 2-for-1 trade. lots of sick sideboard options in this deck.
Is there a card that gives all of your noncreature spells immunity to being countered? I was thinking of having Dovescape in a GAAIV deck that I am planning on building soon and was wondering if there was anything that would give me blanket coverage. I know Taigam gives instant/sorcery cards counter immunity but I am drawing blanks for Artifact/enchantment counter-protection.
Is OG Marchesa the most goodstuf Commander for Grixis?I kinda want to build her and turn people's shit against them.
>>64581877Sangro and Dross both trigger life gain off of things dying. They're an option if you want to get life back stupid fast. Also a question about deathrender. It would trigger twice off of teysa for two creatures from hand correct?
>>64581967Or Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir if he wants to just say fuck it to everyone. If you want genuine uncounterable stuff you need to go into green or Boseiju / Cavern of Souls
>>64581955I highly recommend it. Krav has become the mvp of the deck if you want some spice.
If I'm reading this right the opponent that draws a card doesn't have to be the opponent I exiled a card from their hand, right?
>>64581998it would trigger twice, yesyou'd attach it to the first, then to the second, no problems there
>>64581998Based on my knowledge yes this will be doubled by Teysa. But how would/could 1 Deathrender be attached to two creatures? That is a ridiculous card with Teysa in play
>>64582072both triggers will be stacked, in the end it will be attached to the creature brought by the second trigger
>>64581877You know what would be nice? Cheap creatures with mana sink abilities. Like any orzhov deck you will struggle in early to ramp/ get access to mana so you need a low curve, but as soon as you'll hit coffer (if you decide to play it), rhystic money or black market suddently the deck will rain mana, and at this moment you'll want something to spend this mana on. You alrdy have hangarback which is cool, from top of my mind i know pack rat, master trinketer and plaguebearer who are sweet mana sinks. But you alrdy have cards to add and nothing to remove so it's just food for thoughts really. Good luck fren
>>64582026nice I thought so. It seems really good actually as a way to cheat costs and bypass counters. It might be a bit slow though.
>>64581913Protection against Dovescape? Try Guile. It will auto exile the spells, then you can play them without paying the mana cost.
>>64582122best case scenario you'd have it by turn 5 with teysa already on the field.that's "early game" by commander standards. it's not that slow
>>64582165It also allows you to "flash" things in if you have a free sac outlet. This keeps sounding better to me. I'm gonna have to pick one up for when I build her.
>>64581246If you want to dig for some answers.
>>64582023I never noticed that but you're right!
>>64577151People using N/O for Craterhoof instead of DAS NASTY TERASTY
>>64582013Sick. I have Queen Marcheesey, and the OG one looks pretty fun and very aggressive.
>>64580170Do you think thats really a thing?People peoples personality change after they are cut in adulthood?Or is it from the trauma of not having anesthetic?
>>64582414The trickiest thing I find is keeping your life low to get the dethrone triggers but also being able to gain it back so you don't get killed easily. Unspeakable Symbol is the perfect card for the deck but creatures with graft are also great in case you're not able to attack with your guys. Sage of Fables is also perfect for it as well as Bloodtracker from the new commander set. I put the grixis primordials, gonti and pic related in there for shits and giggles and it always works out great when your sacrifice operation is setup.
>>64582421penis is where men have the most nerves ending in the body. Circumcisions while being a baby is a physical trauma who free some hormones contained in the internal genital organ who in term have a lot of repercussions on the endocrinal system and mess up the pituitary gland chemical balance. Basically the whole hormonal balance become totally fucked up. And believe me, some rabbi know this since thousands of years, of course they didn't had all the medical knowledge we have now, but they knew circumcision had a huge influence on how human beings will interact during their lifes and how they will structurate their way of thinking (analytic and speculative side of the brain hyperdeveloped, hypotrophy of the pituitary gland and of the capacity of empathy...). Basically they create psychopaths on a massive scales and they do it in full knowledge of the facts. And since a century some elites of the anglo-israelite movement decided burgers would become the new talmudic army. Basically all americans are jews : they follow noahide corpus of common law (look it up on google) are circumcised and their elites are all from b'nai b'rith. That's not a hazard if all research made on implications of circumcisions and any questioning of this barbaric practice are immediately shut down and you can literally end up in jail if you try to fight this dogma as a doctor. Fun thing that female circumcision is considered as inhuman, totally monstruous but yet when it's performed on men it's totally ok.. This is a very deep rabbit hole anon.
i bought a single pack of ravnica allegiance on a whim and pulled a foil Captive Audience. i know it's kind of a shit card, but it's cool and i wanna use it somewhere.what deck should i build for it? i was thinking either Mathas or Mogis, but i'm open to suggestions.
>>64582856Yeah, im not certain its some large conspiracy though.I mean I have researched it for awhile and the most logical thing is that its just really easy to make money off it even though its fucked up.They used to circumcised babies in England around the 1950s and it basically stopped over night once the government came in and price set circumcision so it would be non profitable in context of a "Medical necessity surgery" or whatever it is they call it.
>>64578318Mudstah, Jolt and Affinity for commander are nice channels if you want quick videos instead of the usual 3 hours long.Commander clash and commander Vs are more about the banter between the four guysGame nights was nice when it wasn't blatant shilling
