Welp, I think our upload this now. Only change since the last time was adding a canon companion option.
Alright, BC Part 2 WIP posted. Two new routes added, follower option for the first route, your starter ship was altered some.
>>63402051M E N T A L D E V E L O P M E N T
>>63401926Why is the OC companion so much more expensive than imports?
>>63402068Well she still has the personality of a child, but I guess you're right.
>>63402096This is true of more adults than would admit it.
>>63402145It will be for so long as we can't agree on a definition of "adult." Does it mean "responsibility?" A wise old hermit is not a child, but he has no real responsibilities. Does it mean "maturity?" How do you define "maturity?" Some say that aggression is juvenile, but others find an aversion to it to be childishly naive. Who can say who's right? Is it "agency?" Does anyone really have agency? Wouldn't that make only absolute monarchs adults, because only they have no outside impositions on their choices or the consequences of such?Is a cohesive, universal definition of "adult" even possible, and if so, who could possibly have the authority to enforce and dictate such a definition?
What did you do in the various Star Wars jumps?
>>63402206Dicked around innaspace
>>63402206I improved the Force by turning it into the Warp.I also dicked around a lot once I'd retrofitted hyperdrives into my battlefleet.
>>63401926>Only change since the last time was adding a canon companion optionThat's the first thing any Jump should include.
>>63402051Centuries old + loli means best girl anon.
Can a human in WH fantasy learn multiple winds of magic but avoid falling to Chaos by only using one wind at a time in their spells?
>>63402206Grinded in my pocket dimension because Star Wars is boring.
>>63402240>I improved the Force by turning it into the Warp. This is one of the cases where I'm not sure if the Warp would actually make things worse or not.
>>63401978I will become one with the catgirls.Psychic networking with catgirls is the way forward.
>>63402294Light and Dark side of the force always seems to end in utter suicidal retardedness
>>63402206Fought in various wars, trained Maul and other students, made my own personal order of Force users, created an empire, blew up the Empire, worked as a smuggler, worked for the syndicates, blew up the syndicates, trained with Revan, trained Revan, made superior clones, made superior droids, made superior ships, etc etc etc.
>>63401978Damnit Red. I'd juuust gotten back my muse for writing one of the jumps that has languished as a skeleton for so long. Now I gotta read this instead.I kid, thank you. I'll read this with great joy.
>>63402295>wanting to network with psionic catgirls
>>63402295>anon develops a hatred of mice, small objects on tables, random walls
>>63402206Combined it with Riddick and Farscape.Made friends with a bounty hunter, bought a very small courier ship, and used warehouse space to make a killing as a smuggler and merchant.
>>63402206Helped Vader take over the Empire, because as fun as Sheev 'The Senate' Palpatine is, I've always liked Darth Vader more. Also made sure to screw with both the Jedi and the Sith in previous eras, because really they're both asking for it.
>>63402203It isn't, which is why society works on averages more often than not. But jumpers sure can find out.
>>63402248>That's the first thing any Jump should include.Anon, companions weren't even a thing at first.
>>63402267Best doujin he's ever done.
>>63402322Exactly. Sure the Warp has malevolent gods and evil space sorcerers (A.k.a. psykers). However the benevolence of The Force is already questionable at best, and Star Wars already had evil space sorcerers (a.k.a. the sith). So that's not much of a change.Meanwhile Star Wars already has faster than light travel. So that aspect of the Warp is unlikely to be an issue. So the only real change I can think of that would be relevant is that the Warp is better at being an afterlife than the Force is.
>>63401978Look at you, delivering on a promised deadline. That's better than 99% of jump makers
>>63402485Senpai there are far, far fewer Sith than there are Chaos forces in the galaxy. Hell, there are often only two.
>>63402501Technically I'm a day late.
>>63402206I stole the Death Star on the day of its completion right under Palpy's nose and hid it. The look on his face was worth it.
>>63402485Technically, the Warp is only such a fucked up hellscape because of the maximum grimdark of 40k, in a place like Star Wars it'd be peaceful in comparison, especially with no insane evil Sith around blowing up planets.
>>63401978Can someone post part 1?
>>63402203stop using sophistry to try and fuck children, you degenerate
>>63402578>moralfagging on 4channel
>>63401978>>63402510If I convinced Kyrios would it be willing to trade for the technologies used in the Iron Web?
>>63401978Can shared soul and twisting mist be bought multiple times and or for a companion? Can mist be gathered but held off?
>>63402357Yeah, well, I might also network with the ghostxenos infused people and such. But catgirls are sacred. I must become as one of them.
>>63402597Nope. Convincing Kyrios means they realize that they fucked up and shuts it down. You want the Web, you gotta kill them for it.>>63402599Can be bought for a companion. Mist can be held off.>>63402611What madness rests in that mind.
So after hearing Dante complain about not getting any new weapons and me realizing none of us know how to repair Jensen, I realized that I have no real support companions. Since I'm sure the latter would appreciate if we used something besides duct tape, I need crafting/healing companions for a band of misfits.I already suggested Fran but Dante shot me in the gut halfway into my enthusiastic description.
So what jumps are good for archery, be it bestowing skill with shooting, shooting powers, or good bows? Making a list for an archery focused jumper, so far I have Desolate Era, Maoyuusha and Tortall.
Need a good waifu that can fill the role of a tank, and wouldn't be overpowered for world of Goblin Slayer. Anyone got any suggestions?
>>63402638>What madness rests in that mind.[Echoing Nyan Sounds]
>>63402649Make an OC that fulfills those criteria, then come back and tell us about her.
>>63402638I am a veritable catomic bomb of nyaaas.
>>63402644Figure out your own autism.
>>63402206Made my own sect (enough jumps to devote time to both lightside) and darkside to make my own order that didn't require things like celibacy or stunted emotions and dropped all the pomp and holier-than-thou attitudes and taught in a way more similar to Diogenes and really emphasized being honest in teachings, how my students and peers felt, and that it was important to live among the populous or else becoming isolated from the rest of the galaxy not only to stay in touch with common people, but to keep us from becoming pompous isolationists.
>>63402648>ArcheryWhy Archery when Crossbows are better?
>>63402674OC are shit.
>>63402593>Being so new that you forget about operation honeypot
>>63402686>DiogenesD-do you mean Socrates? Because Diogenes didn't really teach except by example and occasional trolling, as far as I know. And he was pretty much the epitome of 'idiotes', a man who lives apart from society.
Wow, uh... So Heavens just admitted in the IRC to regularly watching cuck porn. Just wow.
>>63402694because guns are better than crossbows, and if you've got super strength and superspeed, it's better to just use a bow instead of trying to 'fan the crossbow'
>>63401978Awesome, reading now.
>>63402578Anon you may have misread the conversation, it had since moved to discussing "manchildren" as they are called.
>>63402734>A: Didn't happen.>B: Misrepresentation of what was said.>C: Actually happened.>D: None of the above.What's people's money on?
>>63402538You're kind of making me wanna bring the Warp to somewhere like Catastrophe or K-On.
>>63402503The often only two thing is an artificial limit created by a rule the sith made and often ignore. Although I probably should have mentioned all the other dark side force users.Meanwhile unless you assume the Jedi are even dumber then they seem falling to the dark side seems trivially easy.>>63402538True. If the Warp is introduced in a pure 'the Necrons and Old Ones did not screw everything up' state and The Force isn't making it's usual mess a lot of issues would probably go away. >>63402705Is there a part of Star Wars the Imperium would not find heretical?
>>63402771>E: Anon wants to come out of the closet but is afraid of being kinkshamed so he passes the buck
>>63402708One day, my people will go to war against yours, and your death shall be a mercy, for you are cuckolds to a man.
>>63402638Question: Is there something about the setup of part 2 that prevents us from using time travel powers and other such stuff to break the 15 reward limit, or is this a railroad situation rather than a '15 is what you can get with just what you've got access to from this jump, and specifically addressing out of jump shit has never been popular' situation?
>>63402694This >>63402745 plus longbows look cooler, and you can have things like bow/sword hybrid weapons.
>>63402771I'll put a 50/50 split on A and B.
>>63402726Less living like Diogenes and more speaking frankly instead of the circlejerk that Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle did where they were part of a massive circlejerk, even by ancient Greek standards. Most tragedies that happen in Star Wars happens from moral-grandstanding and giant speeches instead of just sitting down at a table with a drink and hearing out what the other has to say. Diogenes may not be the perfect example, but what I mean is that I avoided a teaching style/culture that was as snooty as a high-elf, and to remind my students that while yes they have power and that brings responsibility, you're still a person.
>>63402206Acquired a rainbow of force sensitive twi'lek slave girls
>>63402745Bowgun combine best of crossbow & gun.
>>63402843>sitting down at a table with a drink and hearing out what the other has to say>literally the Socratic method
>>63402648Terraria has lots of special bows&arrows.I imagine lots of fantasy jumps with elves have perks/items relating to archery/hitting things.Elder Scrolls has a "summon bow" spell thats great.Souleater weapons could be a bow form. Dark Souls and Monster hunter have Greatbows. In Anima you could be a really good ranger. it has a pretty high skill level. On that note DnD obviously has ranger and its various prestige classes.Overlord would make you pretty good at it i imagine.Oh and one of the scenario challenges in Waltraute is about archery
>>63402771Why does it even matter? So what if it did happen? One loser in this hive of losers gets his rocks off to specific fake scenarios. Completely trivial.
>>63401978>No one will judge if you were scared of a pink mist.>Blatantly judging Chaos Marine glances>and like the sane individual you were, decided to have them implanted into your flesh.Perfectly sane by Nurgle standards.>Spine of MadnessOh damn, that's cool. Not sure if I'll take it, since it's only one weapon. But daaamn.Well, this first system was spoopy. I approve. Now let's read the next...
>>63402771It's weird, but if that's the most disgusting fetish they have, then I'm okay with it.
>>63402871Because Anon never graduated middleshool and genuinely thinks tattletelling on other people makes him look like a handsome cool boy the teacher will give stickers to>>63402883I doubt it's anything more than a lie anon made up desu
>>63402796I would expect you'd see major benevolent warp deities, or at least ones that don't cause many problems, intermixed with the actually malevolent ones unlike regular 40k where it's all evil, all insane.
In dark souls, could you force some humanity into a hollow?
>>63401978Ooh, new space oddities to explore. Always lovely to see.
>>63402866The only drink the Socratics sit down with is hemlock.
>>6340282915 is your hard limit. It was originally 10, but I increased it to 15 because of how many choices were going in, and I felt it to be unfair if you couldn't dive deeply into two systems or pick out 2-3 items from each one.Nothing you say or do will change that hard limit.
Is there a way to mass produce prayers to yourself for the purpose of acquiring as much Ambrosia from the jade fountain as possible or do we have to do this the old fashioned way?
>>63402843>Most tragedies that happen in Star Wars happens from moral-grandstanding and giant speeches instead of just sitting down at a table with a drink and hearing out what the other has to sayWait, I thought a lot of bad stuff happened because the Dark Side was objectively evil?
>>63402934>Nothing you say or do will change that hard limit.
>>63402944Sure, but there are a lot of people that could have been led away from the lure of the Dark Side if someone was actually talking to them instead of at them.
What is the strongest school of martial arts available in the chain?
>>63402644Ryoko Asakura from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya hasn't done anything like that, but crafting and healing should be within her capabilities. Sure she's kind of psychotic, but unlike Fran she knows how to pretend to be normal. Meanwhile she did technically ask for permission before attempting her insane plan. She also definitely counts as a misfit, and your group is probably going to be interesting enough for her to not go psychotic out of boredom. In my defense you said nothing about sanity and morality.
>>63402932Too soon, man. What jumps can I save Socrates in?
>>63402943I mean, you can just lock people up in prayer mills and force them to pray. Industrialize your prayer, like the demons do.But other than that, there's not really anything?
>>63402644Pic related, Desty Nova, Shinonome Tabane from IS, Erin from 2hu.
>>63402961Sidereal martial arts.
>>63402934Sorry but that's fucking retarded
>>63402982That's not a school a school of martial arts, that's a classification that contains a bunch of martial arts schools.
>>63402648Animal Crossing is surprisingly good, as the golden slingshot item shoots three shots and allows for ranged weapon importsThief, Terraria, and all the Zeldas are good for acquiring ammunition. Terraria is notable in that if you buy the infinite quiver you'll also be able to make more infinite quivers for different arrow types
>>63402961World Seed has it probably.
>>63402991I'm sorry you feel that way, but it's a Jumpchain CYOA. Choosing what you acquire and working with those choices is an important part of things.
>>63402648Runescape has archery perks.

>>63402974Bummer. I wonder if there's giant prayer wheels or something in a weeb jump I can set to be constantly turning.
>>63402909I'm vaguely sure that hollowing can't be reversed by any means available in the setting.

>>63402649>Wouldn't be overpoweredThen just get a regular girl from your favorite TV show and watch her getting raped. Because that's what you get for not bringing an overpowered female in Goblin Slayer. Cuck.
>>63403023...can you resolve the Kyrios situation by convincing him to worship YOU instead?
>>63403079>I wonder if there's giant prayer wheels or something in a weeb jump I can set to be constantly turning.Could probably work if you got the Sidereals perk to get prayer from stuff that normally wouldn't give anything, since you normally need a souled creature (preferably human, since they're designed for maximum prayer efficiency, but other things work) to get effective prayer.
>>63403149You better have a really damned good argument, but I imagine it's not out of the realm of possibility.
>>63402934Joy.Normally, I'm more a fan of your school of jumpmaking than the ones looking for any excuse to throw in an unrepresentative level of power, buuuut...You're making an incredible case for why in-depth scenarios for Jumpchain are something of a dead-end idea. It forces you into a scenario where you can either preserve the premise that the jumper actually has agency and their actions and power have meaning, or you can preserve the element of choice and economizing on rewards. If you do the former, you preserve the narrative authenticity of the 'chain and allow the jumper to actually apply their expertise to the situation, but in doing so have to give up control over the reward economy to the jumper. If you do the latter, meanwhile, you can control the reward economy, but the result is that the jumper might as well literally be playing a prewritten choose your own adventure book Jumpchan handed to them, because their actions are all forced into the framework of actions you crafted to preserve said economy of rewards. It's an inherently broken system.
>>63403048The flippant answer is "because they're poorly written and really broken as a result". But if we're talking about how Sidereal Martial Arts are supposed to work, they're the most sophisticated and advanced form of kung fu in Exalted, with many abstract and powerful effects. Let's look at Kaleidoscopic Border of Logic Style. It starts with punching someone so hard he forgets he's not a figment of your imagination. It moves on through various other mind-editing techniques, removing language from someone's mind or causing amnesia or the like. Then it goes into directly warping logic, things like making you a non-entity so that effects that target you find nothing to target and don't work, or ascending past physicality to temporarily become a reality warper, or converting the entire fight into an extended metaphor where people have to engage you in entirely separate forms of conflict to be able to damage you. SMA do weird things, and often very powerful ones. If you just care about biggatons go elsewhere, but if you're looking for hax, Sidereal Martial Arts are some of the best you'll find in Exalted.
>>63401978>More shipsAwesome!>None of them are strike cruisersDammit, the Astartes will be deployed like plebs for a while longer.
>>63402611>But catgirls are sacred. I must become as one of them.Red did say something about foxgirls, you might be able to adapt the ritual that makes them.
>>63403096Think hes asking if he can make more Hollows.
>>63403169Noted, thanks. Considering the crux of that argument will be predicated on a better version of Orikan's little pet project and the perk that lets you talk to actual machine spirits wherever you go from Imperium, I like my odds.>>63403194I've always seen and been under the impression scenarios are just meant to be guidelines for telling a story, desu. Like sure you may be unqualified for the reward, but...nothing's stopping you from just stripping the place bare on your way out either. Doubly so if you go in with Collector EX or I Wanna Be The Strongest Hero or a similar perk that justifies actually asspulling artifacts on the same level as the offered rewards during your adventures.
>>63403235I don't think he is, because hollowing is reversed with Humanities/Human Effigies
>>63403247Judging by what I was replying to, though, that's clearly not the intended structure for this one.
>>63402206Became the ultimate paragon Jedi. And also >>63402849 because Luke/pre-Rusaan Old Republic era Jedi were right, love is the most powerful force in the universe and there's no reason not to allow it in the Jedi Order.Hung out with the Jedi Exile and made sure to mock Kreia for being a crockety old relativist bitch.I also may have pretended Master Thon was a pony and made him give me rides.
>>63403194Oh bitch bitch bitch. Doing the scenario nets you free rewaeds, it hasnt even reached cp spending and you can get cool shit. Calm the fuck down.
>>63403169Hmmm. Would the Looted Armor be useable for the Felinids? The space marine stuff probably isn't, since they'd require a black carapace (and I've got space marines to give it to anyway). But would the Vratine stuff be useable by them? I mean, they /are/ 8-feet tall amazons, the armor might be a bit small.>Animosity>Rapturous UmbrageOh fuck yeah.
Nero is so pretty.Rome Legends when?
>>63403394What would Nero do if you showed up to Rome legends and sung the padoru song at her for hours?
>>63403394its too hot to work or writeits 34 fucking celsisus here and going to get to 38 in a few hours
>>63403194Unfortunately, this is one of those situations where there's no real way to solve it beyond trashing the entire thing. There has to be some kind of balance, but in order to achieve the balance of narrative and economy there's going to be something that's cannibalized from either side. As you pointed out, one can either go for flexibility and have little to no ability to attain a form of cohesion or instead can try to lock down a framework and end up locking out some potential outcomes in the process for the sake of organization. No side is perfect, and they both have their flaws. But that's the nature of the beast. At the least, I am trying to keep the narrative side vague enough where you can fiddle around and have any number of things occur in between Point A and Point B, in hopes of making sure there's some kind of freedom. It feels a bit janky to me at times, but at least this way one can surmise their own reasons for obtaining or doing what they wish.>>63403370Yeah, it wouldn't be hard to modify it and give it to the amazons.
>>63403424Weak cunt it's not bad until it's 40+ I've worked outside at 40C temps all day and survived, you can too.
>>63403340Not actually what I'm protesting. If the setup of it was 'only the 15 rewards you pick existed to begin with', that'd be fine. If you were literally dealing with jumpchan, who has given you a CP budget with which to seed the path in front of you with rewards that you have to secure for yourself anyways, that'd be fine. The issue is that trying to write a scenario where everything you get is a result of your in-jump actions AND adding in hard limits that overcome even out-of-jump shit is inherently incoherent.

>>63403256Oh, maybe if I could read.
>>63403437I guess I just don't see why you chose this worst-of-both-worlds structure for part 2 to begin with.

>>63403437I see nothing wrong with it as is other than aa needy little shit refusing to make decisions. If it really is such a big problem why not slap a cp cost on all the rewards and toss them in the item section later so you can get them if you pay?
>>63403501>I doubt you'd plagiarise work directly or blatantly talk down to certain styles of jumpingEither let me know the moment that shows up in BC2 or just straight up shoot me.>>63403524Ultimately, I chose it because a Crusade is all about traveling, acquiring things in adventures, and using them in a grand goal. This approach would work a lot better if the chapter was a split off from the Salamanders or from the same vein as the Lamenaters. Compassion for the common man is always a good start. One of the problems is that they were literally indoctrinated/Mind raped to be hateful and antagonistic so if you removed the whole hypnotherapy from the recruits it would be a lot more successful.

They were listing the LoT flaws they don't think this'll have.Honestly, though, I don't think there's a way to do justice to traveling and exploration in a fixed set of canned encounters in the jumpdoc, especially when the writing of the jump itself gives the broad-strokes of what needs to be done to solve all the problems. The lazy route of making the jumper write their own story from scratch, like is done with standard jumps, works better for that, despite highlighting everything dumb about this hobby in and of itself.>>63403575I have plenty of choices to get everything I actually want and then also six random pieces of trash, as is. In the US, they are of course sometimes called flip flops as you know, which is often reserved for the cheap, poorly secured, plastic or rubber based variety used disposably around water or in the summer. They are also, especially if they are more expensive/made of better materials, referred to simply as sandals.

>>63405924You know what, I'm just gonna say you salvaged parts from both to fix the Animosity.>>63405982Tell me where it says that in either document, anon. Tell me where.>>63405969Yep. Got plenty of it.
>>63405488>I mean, yeah, point. Fair point. Still, I think she's probably doing more impressive stuff. She also has superpowers. Not hard to do more impressive stuff.>Yeah Jumper is pretty much at that point where he can just kinda do all sorts of stuff when convenient. It’s always a fun time when you reach the point where you can just make whatever happen.>Now that I think about it, the anime does do that weird thing where the confusion status has Pokemon smashing their own face into things, doesn't it? Maybe I should have compensated for that.Well, it was smashing its face into something. The something was water.
>>63405983I find it more worrying that according to the datamines, Alter Ego Kiara will eventually become aware of the Tamamo 9 and think about trying to copy the idea>>63406008Just some old roman emperor bro, seh wrestles lions and doesn't afraid of anything
>>63406008https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LJcRQ9xMGwThis should explain everything.
>>63406010That's kinda why I'm asking, mate. The docs are both enormous, and I wanna make sure I'm not missing something.
>>63405994>>63405937>>63405912Oh, well the funny thing about that, Bride Nero is from a different reality and has never met Hakuno, she's basically an alt Servant. Summer Tamamo is actual Tamamo just with a class modification but is still gunning for your dick though, yes. So the complaint is that someone at Type Moon made her NTRbait in both directions? They pretty much have, it's someone doing it as a joke probably, since of the other kitsune girls in Type Moon, one of them is also NTR bait so bad that she has, like, zero fans. The only faithful Kitsune is one of the Tamamo variants that aren't the regular Tamamo like Cat, and the smelly neet kitsune.
>>63406055If you read the document and didn't find such a condition, it's safe to say there's no condition.
>>63405881>The Chaos Folk don't always have the big toys and the Astartes sometimes have to make do with what's available.Chaos has way more shit than you might think, a lot of the really cool stuff has been lost to them due to tech loss but ships aren't really one of those fields and they can produce truly heretical amounts of what they do have the know how to build. As for the loyalists. . .Loyalist chapters generally have more ships than they can fill with marines. The lower end of average for an Astartes chapter has 2 Battle Barges, a good half dozen Strike cruisers, and lots of escorts to protect the more important ships.A single strike cruiser with no escorts would be a fairly conservative showing from them, for the Red Hunters who have the Inquisiton backing one strike cruiser would be what they give you only because there isn't a practical reason to take a small fleet.
>>63406008Nero is a Seibah Face from Fate, also known as Red Saber and Titty Saber. She's pretty great.>>63406016>She also has superpowers. Not hard to do more impressive stuff. This is a much stronger point.>It’s always a fun time when you reach the point where you can just make whatever happen.Yeah dude, just wiggle your fingers and shit, bridges form, everyone becomes stronger, tiny planetoids pop into existence, it's awesome.>Well, it was smashing its face into something. The something was water. That will now be the logic used for it not hurting itself. I'm taking that thanks.
>>63406010>You know what, I'm just gonna say you salvaged parts from both to fix the Animosity.Que?
>>63406051>Thousands of people fled from this when she tried to sing in that giant golden domeWhy were Romans so gay?
>>63406109Hey man, the Romans liked having five senses and ears that didn't bleed profusely. Leave them alone.
What's a new Jumper to do if you want to tell a story but can't see yourself as the protagonist? Make that the focus of it, someone thrown into the role of "mover and shaker" who really doesn't fit it?
>>63406083Bad grammer has always been a bonerkiller for me. At least there aren't any awful, cheesy puns like in old porn. Seriously I want to slap whoever thought putting XXX on the end of their porno titles was clever or in any way condusive for boners.
>>63406100It's now a horrible hybrid somewhere in between both things called "Black Ships".
>>63406141Have you considered creating a character to become Jumper who is the type of person you do want to tell stories about?
>>63406059>NTRbaityuri doesn't count
>>63406099>Yeah dude, just wiggle your fingers and shit, bridges form, everyone becomes stronger, tiny planetoids pop into existence, it's awesome.Remember kids. Power corrupts. Absolute power is kind of neat.>That will now be the logic used for it not hurting itself. I'm taking that thanks.Glad I could help.
>>63406141I normally do introverted chains for that reason. Kaiju chains? Sleep in the ocean till something happens. Magic chains? Study in a cool libraries.
>>63406109Too much cultural overlap with the Greeks, probably. Also this just made me realise half of Extella's plot wouldn't have happened if Liz had the luck to be on Nero's team because Nero would 100% be behind her singing her heart out instead of trying to browbeat her into being a maid. For all her faults Nero really was the better candidate for queen of the moon next to the retarded giant space loli and the manic depressive fox
>>63406089Just because groups could theoretically have something doesn't mean that always have something. Ships get destroyed a lot and stolen and reacquired as well, and the timing can sometimes mean you grab what you can get. I already upgraded it from a Viper Scout ship to the Hunter-class destroyer, and you can get additional ships in Part 2.>>63406100As in you took parts from both Telepathica Black Ships and Inquisitorial Black Ships to fix it up in some horrible bastard hybrid.
>>63406083>>63406142Amputation is a shit fetish
>>63406059The only way i can kinda still waifu tamamo at this point is via 'Tamamo prime' or 'tamamo caster without bonus memories'>>63406169most of tamamos issue in extella were from sheer despair over sefar hence the bitch act, and anyone who claims she is daji clearly doenst know how the timeline doenst match up
>>63406152I have, but then the novelty wears off on them. Getting into their mindset long-term just doesn't work, since too many of the things I want to have happen aren't what the character in question would actually do considering their origins. Maybe I've just been here too long.
>>63406010On a scale from HERESY to HERESY! would the mechanicus consider you for even just half of the Dark Age tech?

>>63406207Depends on how much you let them play with.
>>63406187I mean yeah it's not by thing but really the grammer is worse>>63406218Technically that's 100% factually correct for scat.
>>63406193>'Real world' Timeline>Type MoonAnon I don't think you get how this works.
>>63406224>One of these days you're gonna pull something like that loser on /fit/ then cry to us about how having your girlfriend stolen by a dyke actually sucks.wrong
>>63406174>As in you took parts from both Telepathica Black Ships and Inquisitorial Black Ships to fix it up in some horrible bastard hybrid. So worse than an Inquisitorial Black Ship then?
>>63406193"Sheer despair over Sefar" is such a fucking joke knowing Saiba can oneshot her, knowing she ends the true root getting turned into a daughteru and knowing her F/GO incarnation has nothing to do with the main plot and spent Christmas flying around on sheep.
>>63405887Embrace the finals, give your soul to the corrupt university system.
>>63406187How about as a non-sexual torture tactic?
>>63406256But of course. Look who the jumpmaker is.
>>63406260True, and IIRC sefar has less power than full power amatarasu, so i dont know if its just a bad matchup like gil and shirou or what
>>63402644Hey Heavens, if you don't mind me asking, why is the paid version of Modular Weapon restricted to parts in your warehouse? It doesn't seem like the base version has this requirement, just the non-arsenal version.
>>63405961They're the same until they're summoned and have had the chance to diverge.
>>63406232Not that familiar with Fate, does it ever conflate events two thousand years apart? Because that's how long it is between Daji and Tamamo-no-Mae.
>>63406280Oh, was asking about the Boktai jump in case it wasn't clear.
>>63406256I mean. It wasn't even supposed to be an Inquisitorial Black Ship in the first place, just one of the League Black Ships that grabs psykers.
>>63406226I'll give em' samples and schematics to each thing including Great Crusade era gear. Anything not related to Men of Iron bros. especially if they start producing more mundane stuff like the Auxilia gear.
>>63406285that and tamamo backstory given in extra just plain doesnt match up, she incarnated into a human girl, there was no possession or anything like in the myths that link tamamo and daji
>>63406141Have you tried not imagining yourself as a loser?
>>63405854Irredeemable has exactly that.
>>63406312Then praise be to your contributions to the Mechanicus, for you are a true servant of the Omnissiah.
>>63406280It just means the parts have to be available in your Warehouse to get more parts to swap in the first place - the original effect remains. Having it on your person somehow also works. It was me trying to quantify Boktai's inventory system without being literal. This was also before alternate storage methods became more common - I'll say any kind of 'inventory' you have works just as well.
>>63406141must suck being this much of a cuckold.
>>63406322>>63406285Anons, they turned Atilla the Hun into a space alien that originally crash landed and genocided the gods tens of thousands of years ago, then got fucked up, then woke up in AD just to go fuck up half of Eurasia before fucking off into the Moon Cell. Also Atilla is a brown waifu who shifts from teenager to loli to giantess on a whim to suck an AI version of a Japanese teenager's dick. Tell me again that they care about history.

>>63406383The Series folder, 40k folder, then Black Crusade folder.
>>63406174>Just because groups could theoretically have something doesn't mean that always have something. For the Chaos Dudes they might've had a really bad few years and haven't been able to get a new proper ship yet after the warband's old one got ruined in some battle or warp related "incident". It would be a bit unlikely and some bad luck that our new group was in such a situation when we got them but that is a thing that could happen. The Red Hunters however would have ships, there is no way in hell that they'd be in such poor shape unless the entire chapter was collapsing and had lost the support of the Inquisition. The situation where they'd send a full company of marines in just an escort ship would require fiat and bullshit. It just wouldn't happen.
>>63406360Fate made me realise Japan needs to be nuked into a radioactive wasteland and settled by normal people.
Does the Divine Curse in UQ Holder protect against mind/soul warping, or just body stuff?
>>634058871.Zone Fighter is underpowered for what it's based on and should be A 600 CP option,The guy regularly defeated some of the era's greatest beasts.2.If you look closely you'll find that Gigan's stomach saw is a reciprocating saw not a buzz saw.3.Is there going to be a drawback were The monsters are all just giant people in suits?
>>63406360Okay, but waifu-Atilla did that in sequential order, right? The issue isn't respect for history, it's the time travel that would be required for Tamamo-no-Mae to be both a recently-created avatar of Amaterasu (or so I've gathered from discussion about her here) and Empress Daji. Daji was the wife of Emperor Zhou of Shang, in 1047 BC, while Tamamo-no-Mae was a courtesan of Emperor Konoe of Japan, in 1142 AD. In the real myth, they can be the same fox, Daji just having escaped and done mischief across history. But if Tamamo is supposed to be young at the time of her legend, that means she would have to be a time traveler.
>>63406442>wanting a radioactive resource drained weeb beacon.
>>63406442You really do care too much about non-fiction representation in a fictional work, you know.
>>63406455Ammy can literally time travel
>>63406455She has sisters that are all variations of her split off from the same source. Could be that Daji was just a different sister, though I don't know enough about what's being referenced here to know if this is supposed to be normal Tamamo or not.
>>63406452The problem is that the Zone Fighter TV show is dubiously canon to the movie series. As in, not really at all.
>>63406455Tamamo is the bunrei of Amaterasu, who herself is the sadistic aspect of a world destroying evil of humanity that can reach beyond time and space from her own mausoleum.I repeat: Fate is fucking bullshit. Tiamat for example lives in the sea of imaginary numbers, which I imagine makes doing advanced math hard in the Nasuverse.
>>63406477Okay, but can Tamamo? Otherwise it's not Tamamo and Daji being the same person, it's Tamamo and Daji both being separate avatars of Amaterasu (though I suppose that actually wouldn't require time travel). Fate treats the avatars as separate people, yes? Like, there's supposed to be nine different Tamamos or something?>>63406490Sure, that would make sense.
>>63406360>Japanese series doesn't care about historical accuracywow
>>63406498Then why did you include in the first place? Also maybe include a Godzilla Island drawback?
>>63406195It sounds to me like you're aiming pretty high there. It's hard to plot out a narrative that accurately follows someone's evolution over a hundred years/ten jumps, let alone trying to plot out a thousand years or a hundred jumps. I appreciate when Heavens, Wanderer, or Yoro write something like that, but it honestly seems pretty hard for just trying to have some in the moment fun. If you really just want to write something, I'd honestly suggest trying to make a genuine SI chain. Where the "you" ten jumps later really is just "you, but with superpowers/tech/skills/whatever". Part of the inherent appeal of the concept after all, is seeing what you would do in X setting with Y powers, after all, so just put a few hundred words down for every build, and then move on to the next one. Have a few themes but don't stress the details, except when you want to.
>>63406508Yea but the Tamamos are all the original Tamamo's tails. Except when they're not. And they might all actually be Amaterasu's avatars. Who can ignore linear time when it's convenient.
>>63406530Because it's Jet Jaguar, which is canon to the movie series, but the Zone Fighter isn't.
>>63406548>>63406530Oh and Godzilla Island is a Heisei series.
>>63406548Okay I didn't get that it was supposed to be Jet Jaguar rather than actually based on the Zone Fighter series.
>>63406538Just try not to think too hard about anything in Fate, save yourself.
>>63406538Sounds like it would be more convenient to acknowledge linear time here, though. Eh, doesn't really matter all that much. I think we've established a plausible connection between Tamamo and Daji that doesn't require too much twisting of the timeline, just individual entities within it. I'm satisfied with this explanation. Thank you for taking the time to clear these things up for me, anons, I appreciate your patience.
>>63406035>I find it more worrying that according to the datamines, Alter Ego Kiara will eventually become aware of the Tamamo 9 and think about trying to copy the ideaIf you think that's scary there is something that might make it even scarier. Remember how in Extra CCC Kiara had that cult? The entity worshiped by that cult is the same existence of Amaterasu and Viarocana Buddha, and thus Tamamo is technically an aspect of it. Meaning in theory Kiara could decide to attempt to recruit them to help with her plan to 'save' everyone. >>63406193>>63406322There is a potential solution for if that Tamamo is Daji idea ends up being true. Amaterasu can mess with time. So while the Daji stuff occurred earlier in lhe timeline it could have been later in Tamamo's personal timeline, or the personal timeline of a tail.Alternatively Amaterasu could have tried the whole incarnating thing multiple times with Daji as an earlier attempt. Which would technically make Tamamo and Daji the same by proxy.

So, I don't know much about dark souls, but my understanding is that the world is dying due to the mythical fire of some kind slowly going out?Any way to fix that?
>>63406631Let it. Shit's supposed to go out.
>>63401978>You would need to play this very carefully, lest you find yourself being eternally lost within this maze of maddening geometry and you become just another braggart lost to the infinite horrors of the stars. So what you're saying is that we need to leave a literal trail of bread crumbs behind us?>All That GlittersCool, I was already planning on taking all the jewelry and ripping some of the crystals out of the walls, nice to know that I'll have all the fancy gold and stone as well.>Only madness would convince one to press on at this rate, or bravery. Detroit: Become Human reference?>The Soul of IronSo I'm guessing that it'd be a bad idea to try and fight Kyrios in my Tech Priest form since I'm pretty sure DAoT A.I can easily hack into Imperium cybernetics, right? Also would his reaction to seeing me change at all if I walked in there as a heavily augmented cyborg? Actually now that I think about it, me and my A.I/cyborg companions vs him and his A.I/cyborg followers in massive mind hacking battle sounds awesome so I think I'm gonna go with that. Also would hacking and reprogramming Kyrios to side with me count and convincing or destroying him?>Iron Men: Oh. Oh dear. Is this wise for you to take?Yes. I will not hear any arguments otherwise. Could Kyrios or UM tell me how to make more? Or would I have to reverse engineer them myself?
>>63406631Throw yourself into the flame with a big enough soul. Literally that's how it gets solved.
>>63406631>Any way to fix that? It's cyclical. Just let it happen. Things will get better soon enough.
>>63406631It's more that the world is getting progressively worse because people refuse to just let the damn mythical fire go out. Supposed to be a natural cycle thing, but people keep trying to extent the fire's dying.
>>63406631Everybody's afraid of the dark.
>>63406527More like fiction in general. I mean, I can point out how LoTR, the beloved foundation of modern western fantasy, is meant to be the real world's prehistory.
>>63406645>>63406668>>63406673So the world is just sorta supposed to reboot itself? Sounds like ragnarok.Doesn't this kill everyone though?
>>63406631It's complicated, but the world won't die. The first flame already brought disparity to the world, it going out won't take it away to the best of our knowledge. The world is facing much harsher conditions over time by the repeated kindling and stoking of the first flame.
>>63406705>Doesn't this kill everyone though? Most likely worse in fact.
>>63406421There's a lot of things that could have happened, and strange things have occurred.>>63406649>So what you're saying is that we need to leave a literal trail of bread crumbs behind us?Bit more complex, but something that could help serve as that nature.>Detroit: Become Human reference?...yes. I'm amazed someone caught that.>Also would hacking and reprogramming Kyrios to side with me count and convincing or destroying him?He won't take that sitting down, so as destruction.>Could Kyrios or UM tell me how to make more? Or would I have to reverse engineer them myself?Reverse engineer, but you got a lot of samples to work with.
>>63406705No, we see a world where the first flame went out. People are still alive there, it's just fuckin super dark and creepy. Things are gonna be dark and creepy for a while till a new magic fire blossoms into existence.
>>63406705Nope. This current problem that the worlds experiencing is all the fault of Gwyn being a massive prick and tying the flame to the souls of Humanity. If Aldia isn't lying his ass off, that is what made the cycle and what makes humans go full hollow when the fire is winding down, but it's also what lets it spring back from the embers.
>>63406733Okay.Is this a seasonal thing, like 'everybody turns into a zombie for a year or two and then things get better', or more of a 'everybody dies and civilization begins anew' kind of thing?
>>63406577>this is gonna be canon
>>63406705>So the world is just sorta supposed to reboot itself? Sounds like ragnarok.Sorta, yeah.>Doesn't this kill everyone though?Don't believe so, no. There'd be a metaphysical shift and stuff, but aside from things getting dark and spoopy until a new mythical fire starts, people should be fine.
>>63406759Aldia was way too pissed off at Gwyn to be lying, but he very well could be crazy or just not clear on the situation. Given everything we know about Gwyn, Aldia most likely has it spot on.
>>63406705>Doesn't this kill everyone though? Not really. The only people we know who are explicitly threatened by the fire going out are the gods, who even at the point in the first game are mostly dead anyway. So there might be some struggles with Miracles after it goes out but beyond that everyone should be pretty alright so long as they don't go super hard on getting that Dark Party started and accidentally Abyss everything.
>>63406773Aldia is seriously the best part of that game.
>>63406776The funny thing is, the Nameless King proves if Gwyn had been willing to eat a little humble pie and if he was THAT scared of the darkness he could've just evacuated his people to that weird cloud dimension apparently populated by ancient dragons and their descendants before they all died out.
>>63406786Mind filling in an ignorant anon who missed Scholar of the First Sin because his DS2 disk broke on its second playthrough? What did Aldia say?
>>63406705No, life can exist within the Dark. Humans actually thrive in the Dark, it was their original state of nature before the gods took them as servants. Everyone will be fine, we'll hang out in the Abyss with all the weird monsters and have a grand old time. Sure, there will be a period of adjustment that is bound to have its problems, but nothing that can't be survived. We may get uglier, though. I can't remember if the human appearance being the result of Gwyn wanting his servants to look more appealing is fanon or not.
>>63406755>There's a lot of things that could have happened, and strange things have occurred. All of them absurdly unlikely, what is the problem with starting with an appropriate ship?
>>63406766It's hinted at being some seasonal thing. The zombie bullshit is because of a curse from the lord of the gods. We've never been able to see a full cycle since The lord of gods pulling a fast one on the world to keep the flame reignited whenever it would go out means the world is just slowly burning to ash.The best analogy I have for how it seems like the world works is like a forest fire burning overgrowth. It's not really bad since it clears away the old growth for the new growth and provides nutrients for the soil and stuff, and then the new growth goes, and it eventually all gets set on fire again and so on and so forth. Dark Souls 1-3 is kinda like someone was scared about the forest fire going out and just rigged it so it would keep burning until even the dirt has been pulverized by heat.
>>63406507>I repeat: Fate is fucking bullshit. Tiamat for example lives in the sea of imaginary numbers, which I imagine makes doing advanced math hard in the Nasuverse. This reminded me of something. If I understood things correctly the imaginary numbers element term while silly might not be as dumb as it seems at first. From what I can tell imaginary numbers are mostly abstract. Meanwhile complete material 3 defines the imaginary numbers element as 'that which exists but not on the physical plane'.
>>63406766More the former, though it'd be quite a bit longer than a year or two.Just punch anyone trying to link the flame /again/ in the schnozz, and you'd do the whole world a favor.
>>63406837He pretty much explicitly says that everything is Gwyn's fault. The Fire was meant to go out for good and humanity would have become the dominant power. Gwyn didn't like this so at some point, probably when he linked the flame, he tied the Fire to the souls of humanity. This started the endless cycle of shit.
Suggestions for sci-fi jumps to go to?
>>63406848Because that was the same argument used last time, and I conceded and put in a destroyer to be used. An appropriate ship was already put in.
>>63406756>>63406759Okay. Not 100% sure I understand this, but basically Gwyn fucked with the natural order? How do I undo that, and maybe speed up the birth of the next flame?
>>63406871>From what I can tell imaginary numbers are mostly abstract. Not if you're using polar coordinates. Then imaginary numbers become something very real. Given that polar coordinates are common in electrical engineering, it makes me wonder if that's the secret to magitech in Fate.
>>63406455Tamamo is just the name for an incarnation of Amaterasu, same with Daji. As Tamamo is Amaterasu so is Daji Amaterasu. We just use the more familiar name of Tamamo because that is how she characterizes herself, not liking to remember her power as a goddess, but she is still Amaterasu.
>>63406817Gwyn was truly an asshole of mythological origins. He banished his one son because maybe keeping one dragon alive was just too much, treated his other son like a girl and gave him huge daddy issues, and more or less enslaved humanity despite the fact that humanity had helped out just as much in the war against the dragons as anyone.Him going hollow was a goddamn mercy compared to what my jumper would do to him.
>>63406895Everything I've heard here suggests that she's at least partially separate. Like, well, an avatar. Krishna is Vishnu, but Krishna is also Krishna. He's not just the Lord Preserver painting himself blue.
>>63406891The best solution we've seen so far is usurping the Flame. Which may and or may not be the best solution near the beginning of it all. As for how to undo it? I dunno. Soul magic fuckery.
>>63406733So doing something with jumper fuckery to give the system a massive boost doesn't actually make anything better? It just makes it last longer?
>>63406841It is...probably fanon. Probably. I say this because we got a look at the Pygmy Lords in the Ringed City-primordial humans that fought at Gwyn's side before he made them anonymous-and their knights have the build of light soul Lords, while their actual rulers look Lord-y only withered and dry from sheer age. The only one that looks like a hollow is a mad king that is explicitly a corpse by human standards impaled on a spear for who knows how long, and the Londor hollows claiming to push the true face of humanity are a twisted death cult whose representative tasks you with killing other characters for no good reason (no I'm not talking about Anri and the sigils which was premediated, I'm talking about the assassin guy who wanted to become a mage).
>>63406908Oh, don't forget that Gwyn kept one dragon alive anyway.
>>63406908Okay, at least the Nameless King thing is just "I can't have my right-hand guy Seathing on me."
>>63406786His boss fight is kinda shit, but Aldia himself and his affiliated zones and themes are all fuckin awesome. Only motherfucker who ever broke the curse too, I think.>>63406841Theorycrafting is so important to piecing together the lore in Dark Souls that it could be both.>>63406891Gwyn fucked with the natural order. No clue, if you have a way to break world spanning curses then that's probably the best start you can get since he fucked humanity as a race to get them to keep doing this shit. No idea how to speed up the birth of the next flame. Magic fire just kinda spontaneously comes into existence in this world if the first flame and profaned flame mean anything.
>>63406887Lot's of different scifi out there. Are you looking for exploring ancient alien ruins sci-fi, space western sci-fi, military sci-fi? We've got some of each.
>>63406893I mean, the current Iron Man-like system of metal kibble, salvaged pseudo-Holy Grail from a dead fantasy tree and wires that augments Mashu into a Servant level fighter even though Galahad is being a Gwyn-tier cunt seems to be electric so. Maybe?
>>63406955The voice actor(s) did a really good job with him. When he sounded pissed, he really sounded pissed.
>>63406755Thanks.>He won't take that sitting down, so as destruction.Disappointing, but understandable.
>>63406891>>63406705Flame isn't even good for humans. You keep thinking 'fire good, light good' which in Dark Souls, is not entirely true. The Dark is good too. Hell it's better for humans, who only like the light because of brainwashing from Gwyn. Humans have the Dark Soul, they are literally empowered by, and wield power over, Darkness. The flame going out makes way for humans to fucking DOMINATE.
>>63406932What system, the first flame? Using Jumper fuckery on the first flame won't benefit the world as far as I can figure. >>63406976The voice actors in Souls games just kick a lot of ass in general. Same group based out of the UK I think. I love the Siegs, and Patches, and anyone allowed to sound fun or expressive usually does.
>>63406955Can soul growth be used on your appearance?
How do you contact/waifu Amaterasu?
>>63406893Well we know electricity was apparently stolen divine power, and that electricity and magical energy can be converted into each other.
>>63407011Wasn't there also a theory that humans in the Age of Dark eventually become dragons or something? Not completely sure, but I've heard that theory before.
>>63406908Not to mention he put one daughter in a time coma just to keep the city he gave the Pygmies sealed in time, in such a way that if she ever woke up the seal would break and the halted entropy would come back all at once killing her with it.And considering the Abyss is right beneath it, it's implied Gwyn only did it to keep his own fuckup imprisoned.Gotta wonder what happened to Gwynevere in the midst of all this. >>63406949If he really is the Firstborn the Nameless King started the whole thing by burning down Gwyn's library of whatever was considered ancient times before the rule of the Lords. It's implied the NK is also a patron to either dragon hybrid descendants or people aspiring to become dragons because the temple where he teleports you up for a boss fight is in Archdragon Peak and inhabited by snakemen.
>>63407051Could be a theory, but I don't think there is really anything to support that.
how does d&d magic stack up to fate magic
>>63406962I'm up for any. I'm not going to be too picky this time around. So have any favorites?
>>63406890>Because that was the same argument used last time, and I conceded and put in a destroyer to be used. No it wasn't, I remember what argument was used for that and it was regarding the original ship being a dedicated scouting ship with only one gun and absolutely no chance in a fight. The fact that space marines should and in all likelihood would have a more powerful ship was ignored. >An appropriate ship was already put in.A space marine escort is more appropriate than the old ship but that doesn't make it a good one. It's just that the old one was absolutely terrible. Unless you mean the Star Galleon which is appropriate for the mission and situation but does nothing to make a full company of space marines in an escort any less ridiculous.
>>63406883This is all basically reaffirmed in the Ringed City DLC too, so it's a known factor, as known as things can be in Dark Souls anyway.
>>63407058I don't think he destroyed any ancient history. He was lost to the annals of time, he didn't lose the annals of time. It has been a while though.
>Jumper tries to fix everything with the First Flame>Accidentally burns down all of reality insteadThis is probably what would happen, if we're being realistic.
>>63407051It's based on the Pilgrims turning into tree-dragon things and old, pre-Ringed City theories about the nature of the Dark Soul. We really have no lore proving that humans evolve into dragons either way.
>>63407011The thing about dark is that in the current setting, it's pretty bad but only because the human soul is too degraded to properly control it like other healthy Lords can theirs a la 40K psykers compared to Elda farseers. We've never really seen a "healthy" Dark user, I don't even think Manus' kids count when they're technically spawned from another Abyssal aberration. It might be good, it's definitely a natural part of the world, but we've never seen it used for anything really good. Best I can think of is the arms and armor of the Ringed Knights, which are apparently alive.
>>63407036Probably not, though I don't really care too much if you have it work as such. It's kind of a subjective thing rather than something that can see linear growth.>>63407051Dark Souls 3 offered a tone of weird and interesting imagery. The Pus of Man enemies resemble dragons or serpents made of darkness. The Grue, a mutated form of humanity, have horns and fur reminiscent of the dragon that the Nameless King rides. The giant tree wielding Grue I think resembled the stone dragon from DS1, can't remember at the moment. I think there are also dragons in DS3 which sprout the Pus of Man monster enemies.
>>63406946>>63406908It's even funnier if you take Yorshka's lines literally and believe she is literally a third daughter to Gwyn, because not only does that make him an even bigger asshole by having locked her up to starve in a tower while bullying the fuck out of his half-dragon granddaughter, but this guy who fucked over his own son and granddaughter because 'muh dragons' was a dragonfucker himself.
>>63407085And apparently thats a good thing?
>>63407143Not if Jumper also sets the Darkness on fire, and somehow manages to burn the fire itself on top of that.
>>63406895What does she do if people insist on worshipping her and calling her Amaterasu?
>>63407085Desu picking up the First Flame and taking it out of the setting's all you need to do to fix everything. It's meant to die already.>>63407065At low and mid range it's crappier because Fate magic doesn't have per-day cast times, more spells with no material components and more rapid fire, higher power output. At epic levels, it doesn't have the arbitrary tier/planet level limiter shit Fate magic does so I'd say it's better, although proper AoG-tier Fate magic can emulate epic D&D feats on a smaller scale. Instead of straight up casting Miracle or becoming a god for example, a shitty caster backed by a crapton of mana from a degraded demon god was about to invert fantasy and reality destroying the Throne of Heroes. A Medea-level Fate mage can also create pocket dimensions, although those are subordinate to the preexisting physics of the Fate planet (which emanates it's own physics to be fair), and with the right ingredients an infinite pancake.
>>63407137She's somehow related to Gwyndolin, probably. The Painter is somehow related to Priscilla, probably.
>>63407066Well, I always dig Legend of the Galactic Heroes for solid politicking in space. If you want to dig through alien ruins, there's always Metroid. Gundam's good for relatively serious war stories and giant robots, or Super Robot Wars. Cowboy Bebop is a good space western as anything else. Eclipse Phase if you want some transhumanism themes. And Psychopass if you want to hang out in a dystopia. Those are about all that come to mind at the time, so see if any fit your fancy.
>>63407143No, that's the opposite of a good thing. The fire really needs to be left alone to go out already, not be lit up even more.
>>63407165Scream MIKOOON at the heavens and cry, probably. Tamamo is canonically the absolute worst person to deal with pressure who is also a main character.
>>63407071>The fact that space marines should and in all likelihood would have a more powerful ship was ignored. Except it wasn't? I upgraded it from the scouting ship and conceded that fact. I already admitted I was wrong. The majority of people at the time accepted a Hunter-class destroyer was good, and if my memory is faulty on that then please show me that thread.>A space marine escort is more appropriate than the old ship but that doesn't make it a good one. It's just that the old one was absolutely terrible.I already changed it, and you're saying that it's not good enough and that it needs to be better. The Destroyer works fine enough as is.
>>63407085I mean if all the fucking ash everywhere is any indication, reality already got pretty toasty. That and space and time being so fucked that you've got horizontal and upsidedown cities, locations physically moved around the world to the first flame, and dimension getting so fucked that you can literally walk from one into another.
>>63407178How do we bring Smokey the Bear into this setting?
>>63407172When she swears you into the covenant she calls Gwyn 'father' and she consistently refers to Gwyndolin as her brother, which is the basis of calling her Gwyn's. This isn't definite of course since she could just be copying the covenant oath and Gwyndolin could simply be a surrogate brother, but there's nothing disproving it.Priscilla having a child would be really weird unless the Chosen Undead decided to go marry her post-game, which is what I would do so.
>>63407191Fill a regular bear with Humanity until it turns huge and starts talking, it worked for the rats. Then force it to wear clothes and walk on two legs.
>>63407034>>63406976From hires British theater actors to do voice acting. Not only is it way cheaper, but it gives you much higher quality voice acting than traditional American professional voice actors. I've always wished more companies would do it.
>>63407179I mean, she handled taking on Twice pretty well in Extra and by god I wish Nasu would have added literally anything else to that instead of just dropping "oh hey the evil scientist who caused all this was my previous master" and NOTHING ELSE., she just had very specific Seifer-related PTSD and didn't realize how bad the titan would job to Arturia.
>>63407143Burning shit is the exact opposite of what needs to happen, and is exactly what everyone keeps doing anyways.>>63407213Priscilla through vague mention seems to have somehow upgraded to some deity worshiped by outcasts. She might have died at some point though? That doesn't mean anything I guess, just felt like mentioning it.
>>63407213I mean, they could be related but at the same time with just how straight fucked literally everything is thanks to the cycle these could just be oddities that appeared.
>>63407096You keep conflating Dark with Abyss like a dumbass. You see bad shit because most of the people tossing it at you are Abyss-tainted psychopaths.
>>63407249Don't forget the Deep, which is its own brand of fucked darkness with eldritch flavors compared to the more satanic flavor of the Abyss.
> dragon age 4 announced[heavy breathing]
>>63407249Yeah, because all we see in the game is Abyss. We never actually see untainted Dark, so there's all of jack shit to know about it except what can be inferred from Abyss. Also, Abyss may have existed before the reign of the gods given the Ringed Knights' weapons were forged in one apparently before they cast the seal of fire. Nyer nyer.
>>63407058>Gotta wonder what happened to Gwynevere in the midst of all this.Implications are that she turned into slug chick. Nothing Gwyn's fault directly, just the last goddess getting a shit deal when her husband became the new cock sock for Seath's soul, which is funny because that's not the first time Seath fucked around with her genes. Sucks for her they were inside her when he did it his time.
>>63407271I love that the Deep is just the stuff that gets scraped off the bottom of the barrel of the Abyss.
>>63407232I really hope it catches on too, because Dark Souls has made me into a believer over their impact.
>>63407085My jumper let it go out on purpose, so nope.
>>63407273I wish I could get excited, but at this point I'm expecting it to be more grindy bullshit like Inquisition, or worse.
Jumpers who don't just put your weapons in some pocket dimension, how do you carry them around?
>>63407299Just waiting for the King of the Monsters trailer to drop. Been listening to the linked theme all day.
>>63407276>We don't see itWe see sane Pygmies, and are told much about it. You are trying to ignore lore to make it bad because of your light fetish.>Ringer Knights' weaponsThe Ringed Knights were sane and fought alongside Gwyn, anon. If they did anything Abyssal it sure was under control.
>>63407273>3 years awayThey better bring back the original main character, it's about time the Morrigan's mommy issues plot gets advanced>>63407284Literally too, given the level on the way to the Ringed City is called the DREG HEAP and oh look what's crawling out of the ground to fight you? Soul Dregs! The very things you fire from Deep-themed spells!
>>63407284The Deep is just this giant, dark bullshit hole where all the bad things in the world go, and its greatest representative is like a living lake of bullshit. Fuckin love Aldritch, he's so awful.
>>63407273>Dragon Age>Dragon Age 2>Dragon Age Inquisition>Dragon Age 4Something's not right here.
>>63407247I doubt it, remember the nature of the time resets. They don't erase the age of the gods. They essentially fuck time back to what it was when Gwyn first threw himself into the Flame, without actually rewinding events. Which is why time and eras start overlapping. Anything predating the First Kindling is a constant, more or less, and so doesn't get retconned.
>>63407322the line from the trailer sounded more like the inquisitor's returning, but I won't smush your balloon or whatever
How does your jumper put stronk independent womyn back in the kitchen?
>>63407315M8 you sound salty af about a game that came out years ago. Don't remember anything from the Ringed City that talked about the Dark being worth a damn specifically except by the locusts, which you really shouldn't trust when they're Abyss spawn creatures that want to eat you. That said, I never said Dark was BAD just that the game doesn't show anyone using it for good. You sure you aren't trying to grasp at straws because of your BLACKED (((fetish)))?
>>63407355Go ahead and smash it man, it's not as if I have faith in Bioware and I would rather see them go bankrupt before it comes out.>>63407349Inquisition is meant to be 3. I think. Also the first one was technically called Origins, it's only the even numbers that only have numbers on the end for some reason so far
>>63407273>They think they'll survive AnthemCute.
>>63407366Fear not the Dark my friend, and let the feast begin.
>>63407364I ask them kindly. M'lady
>>63407396BeGONE LOCUST, the Sable Church is not a religion of peace
>>63407366Name a single person in Souls using a metaphysical energy for objective good. Everything is corrupt and broken and fucked beyond repair, that's part of the theme. That's why you get to see all the other Lord Souls degraded or warped too.
>>63407407No, but I helped them usurp the flame all the same.
>>63407349I'll take it over something like the Legacy of Kain naming system.>Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain>Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver>Soul Reaver 2>Blood Omen 2>Legacy of Kain: Defiance
>>63407434Killing her cute spider sisters who just want to live is not good.
>>63407423Eternity is relentless, Raziel.
>>63407434>>63407420Nope, meant Quelaan.
What happens if a raksha, a soul-and-emotion eating narrative elf born from the interaction between the primordial chaos the world of Exalted was crafted from and said world itself, is let loose in the Warp, the chaotic jumble of all emotions and souls in the galaxy, whose sole inhabitants are made from the sort of powerful emotions and willpower Rakshas eat?
>>63407420The Ivory King uses icy powers that may or may not have come from the Shard of Darkness he took in to form a bulwark against a slowly encroaching, world burning fire that was probably the chaos flame. He even threw himself in that shit to help slow it down. Does that count?
>Sir Mix-A-Lot>legitimately shilling Magic the GatheringWHAT TIMELINE IS THIS
>>63407452Eh, she just eats poison. She's not using a metaphysical force to do that.
>>63407468Well, she's using it to make sure it doesn't kill her, so she can take more.
>>63407176Thanks for the suggestions, man.
>>63407420Well, there's the Divine Blessing healing potions. Which heal you. And are potions. Ditto for the other gwynever themed heal spells. And there's a couple pyrmancies that heal you by sweating the heck out, and Alsanna used her abyss child powers (which aren't untained Dark, need I remind you) to keep the Old Chaos sealed, and Karla is nice to you. I'd count the Ancient Dragon in DS1 as being a good guy too because everyone says turning into a dragon is a higher form of immortality than what modern pygmies struggle withAnd well, yeah. At what point did I say light/flame was good? Things not being good doesn't suddenly mean other things are good, anon.
>>63407462It's kinda funny to go into Dark Souls 3 and to see that the Demons and the Chaos Flame are fucking dead, they've been leeched down to nothing but a dozen lower demons, one king, and two princes, all of whom you kill, ensuring there is no hope for them to have a future. Apparently they developed a civilization at some point instead of just being mindless, but it still serves them right to die out for being so retardedly hostile to other life.
>>63407488Got another one. The Painter seems to using it for good.
>>63407488You just named a bunch of shit YOU do, anon.
>>63407466the same one where we had a muppet at the game awards
>>63407479She's not using anything, other people are feeding it to her.
>>63407459Depends on the Raksha, but the rank and file either quickly become run of the mill immaterium entities or are obliterated because technically they feed on Virtue which isn't present in 40K. And not just in the har har way, but because Virtue is the byproduct of the shinma's interaction with each other. Even discounting that, the average Raksha isn't an apex predator in their native environment.>>63407510Oh yeah, she's a good spud.>>63407516The fuckity doo are you even talking about? Those things are handed out by other characters to characters who aren't the Chosen Undead/Ashen One/whatever in the background of the game, it's not the NPCs' fault the story focuses on your character.
>>63407534The Painting power is totally something weird and metaphysical. She's just using things people give her as paint.
>>63407549Anon, an item/spell is defined by its user. If Sullivan was chugging Divine Blessings you wouldn't be called them a force for good.
>>63407459The Raksha's going to have all-you-can-eat buffet, probably gets catapulted up to Ishvara status, and might establish a Freehold in the Warp.
>>63407503Demons got fucked super hard, but I guess everything got fucked super hard with the passing of time. Humanity mounting an offensive with an ubermensch prince and massive triple balista turrets. On the note of civilization, demons have always fucking confused me super hard on their general level of sapience. Because, like, the fat ones and the bat ones can clearly think given they work with the gods, right? But by and large they seem to be wildly aggressive and even got into a war with the gods after the incident because they were behaving as monsters. Did they always have a mind and were just pissed off at being mutated? Is it just some that maintained their minds? Never could figure it out.
>>63407557Might want to check which conversation you're replying to.
>>63407312On my back
>>63407577It wouldn't be out of character for the series if demons basically evolved into a more intelligent race as time passed.
>>63407181>The Destroyer works fine enough as isThe destroyer can't support or properly deploy a company of space marines. None the scenarios where they would be helpful aren't all that conducive to slowly moving troops in landers meant for hauling supplies in non combat situations. You can't fire boarding torpedoes at a planet. >The majority of people at the time accepted a Hunter-class destroyer was good, and if my memory is faulty on that then please show me that thread.Well it's technically correct on that front, one person (the same person who suggested it I believe) was the only one to respond and they did respond favorably to the change.https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/62995863/#63000260Though favorably in this context just means that the ship can in theory be used to capture a viable ship with enough luck and boarding torpedoes. The destroyer still isn't one. The suggestion for a strike cruiser and the fact that one would be the appropriate ship for such a group of Astartes was completely dismissed, along with any other complaint/suggestion/request regarding the starting ship until you decided to offer a more combat capable escort. That doesn't make the escort good, it just makes it better than a raider that's worse in a fight than random pirate number four. Once again I'd like to ask, what's the problem with the Strike Cruiser? I'd really like to know the answer to this. It's not all that powerful, requires a scenario to get, is worse than any of the ships obtained throughout the rest of the scenario, and would actually make sense.
>>63407598It wouldn't, but the bat demons were working with Gwyndolin and stuff as early as DS1.
>>63407423What about the Battlefield series? >1942>Vietnam>2>2142>3>4>1>V
>>63407534>it's an anon moves the goalposts episodeWow Goji really showed you, proving that the blood of the dark soul and I guess the Ashen One's above average temperature can make something probably not compeltely fucked upwhat are we even arguing about anymore>>63407568Meh. The lore for the potions/spells I forgot which said they were used to help a great many warriors, that's good enough for me.No seriously, what are we even arguing about at this point? People who seek power tend to be awful in this universe, that's never been in dispute.
>>63407312In the warehouse like a normal Jumper.Barring that, my weapons are usually in the hands of operators, or stored in locked containers.
>>63407549Virtue is not the only thing they can feed on. Willpower, Perception, straight-up emotions, and dreams are also all fair game. There's probably more too, but that's just off the top of my head.
>>63406408Well I'm retarded. Thanks, anon.
>>63407516>shit you do>there are many aspirants for dragonhood>karla being nice to you by teaching self defence>shit you do
>>63407630>No seriously, what are we even arguing about at this point? The idea that Dark sucks because the villains in the game that use the Abyss are assholes.
>>63407648"That time a Raksha ate Tzeentch's eyes"
>>63407648Oh yeah, good point. Still, most of them don't really amount to anything. Laashe and Balor were major freaks.
>>63407625Gwyn forced them into slavery, basically. Beat the shit out of them and they, unlike other demons, surrendered.
>>63407628At least it doesn't have a story connected between them, so it's not as bad. But it is still really annoying for the same reason as the naming of Xbox One in the "wait, which is the latest version?" sense.
>>63407666Isn't the Abyss like a cancer to the Dark? Like if you get too much Dark or Humanity in one place it causes the Abyss, and everything just goes tits up?
>>63407680The Asylum Demons too ya think?
>>63407666kay? Never said that nor tried to imply that, just that we have virtually no information on how much Dark actually sucks other than Dark as a whole is needed to revitalise the world probably.>>63407702Pretty much from what we know of it, yeah.
>>63407702The Abyss was born because Oolacile tortured Manus to insanity. It's not 'too much humanity equal bad!' It comes from someone going batshit.
>>63407702The Abyss is a corrupted form of darkness originating from the primordial man known as Manus after he was driven fucking crazy hyper loco by Oolacile Sorcerers.
>>63407680>Gwyn forced them into slaveryThere is absolutely no evidence for this but given the dragon raised under the city it wouldn't be out of character.
>>63407628>Ignoring Bad CompanyBut why?
>>63407702https://darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com/Ringed+Knight+Paired+Greatswordshttps://darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com/Ringed+Knight+SetWell, one Abyss was. These guys probably didn't forge their stuff in Oolacile when the dragon war was happening.
is it bullying to lock the doors and say nice things until she's so embarrassed she hides under the bed?
>>63407726>>63407766>>63407767That's not bullying anon. That's straight up flirting. Are you okay.Do you bully people by treating them to nice dinners and taking them to the movies too?
>>63407640Eh, keeping your weapons in the warehouse without one of those meta summoning perks is an inconvenience at best, a security risk at worst.
>>63407728It's talked about in the lore for the imps, senpai. Gwyn beat them into swearing oaths of servitude, then used them as messengers.
>there are fags who still think that Dark will exist when the Fire doesWithout Fire, there is no Disparity. Without Disparity, there will be neither Light nor Dark.Let the fire die, and there shall be neither of them left, and thus the age of both Gods and Men dies.>>63407726>>63407725Except we still get the Abyss is places where Manus wasn't around outside of Oolacile, such as in the Ringed City and the dank abyssal portals in DS2. Meaning clearly you don't just get Abyss from Manus alone
>>63407761Bad Company isn't a typical Battlefield game, it's fun and doesn't take itself seriously.
>>63407787Oh. Neat, missed that! Well that explains a lot. >>63407790...we already saw the fire die properly in one DS3 ending tho, and it was dark everywhere. It's a cycle, like winter and summer.
>>63407778>Do you bully people by treating them to nice dinners and taking them to the movies too?yes sometimes I bully people by buying them expensive gifts just to see the look on their facesand sometimes I bully people by giving massages
>>63407790>Anon thinks he knows how the Abyss spread around from Manus' original after eons and a bunch of kindlings>Also with literal fragments of himself running around everywhereYeah no, you can't make any definitive arguments.
>>63407790No, that's not the way that works. There has been no evidence to suggest that the world would go back to the grey world that the ancient dragons lived in if the Fire died.
>>63407790A point is made that the time of the ancients can never return in 2, you flame cuck.
Post Psychonauts builds.
>>63407790The Abyss didn't die with Manus. That shit just kept propogating. The Shards of Darkness like Nashandra in DS2 are one example of how it self-propogates through his undying, pissed off soul. There are other ways too if the Abyss Watchers and their storied campaign of stamping it out wherever it cropped up are any indication. No idea how to make heads or tails of the Ringed City Abyss stuff though.
>>63407618I really have to question then why you didn't bring it up further, since looking at this I did bring up the idea that a Viper could fit a Company. That other anon brought up additional points, and I conceded on them. I responded to your post, and from the way it looks there was nothing else brought up on it again, just that other anon who I talked to and brought up the points to convince me to upgrade the starting vessel into a destroyer. It's an adequate starting ship, it can ferry people around, and it has the firepower to fend off other ships enough to board or get out of there. Each time you keep saying "No it's not enough" and at this point it feels like we're just at an impasse here.>The suggestion for a strike cruiser and the fact that one would be the appropriate ship for such a group of Astartes was completely dismissed, along with any other complaint/suggestion/request regarding the starting ship until you decided to offer a more combat capable escort.Except by following the chain of comments, and the offer along with the discussion with that anon it wasn't completely dismissed. >>63407781My jumper is pretty street-level. So on one hand, he lacks ways to carry around or have access to his arsenal without arousing attention he doesn't want. On the other hand, there's really not much call for that sort of thing in his day-to-day life, that his everyday carry can't handle. He doesn't need to be able to access the plasma rifle or enchanted sword of chaosbane in a mostly mundane Earth jump.

>>63407767Sounds like unlawful restraint/confinement and harassment.
>>63407867Very well could be. Undead Hunts were primarily performed by the Way of White, which is almost all humans besides Lloyd who may or may not still be around. Probably not, but we have little clue about what in the hell he did in the background anyways. I'm gonna tag out now, too tired to keep track of anything.
>>63407877oh yes, when I feel supper villainous I send them wholesome things to make sure they know how much I love and cherish all my friends
Remember, Miyazaki had originally intended Humanity to represent the more base and animal parts of the soul, the raw and primitive emotions of hunger, want, rage, and fear. The Abyss is merely what happens when Humanity runs wild and becomes too much for mortal bodies to contain it. It's basically just Rampant Humanity>>>63407818>cycles bullshit>despite the game making it clear that the canon endings have always been the rekindling of fireAlso, endings and new game plus aren't direct continuations of eachother retardAlso the ending looking dark I'd wager is because its damned hard to properly animate the absence of both light and dark. Further, if dark was the end result of the Light fading, then the Lord of Hollows ending would be pointless.Honestly, I'd say people would get less confused about this if only DS2 hadn't had existed, retconned a lot of shit, then had the be unretconned again in DS3
>>63407895Isn't DS3 meant as an ending to Dark Souls? Sure feels like shit's ended.
>>63405906You might want to have something that can fill the role of a squad support weapon like the heavy bolter. You could probably tune plasma cannons to have a less powerful secondary rapid fire mode. Boarding/Storm Shields for another layer of frontal defense might not be a bad idea to have in reserve for the heaviest of fighting either. Keep some Mastercrafted Bolters and speciality shells around incase you ever need to go flashy/silent or the enemy has a way of negating all your plasma. Like the other anon said plasma grenades instead of melta bombs for general use. The Deathwatch has cool shit try and get some of it, highlights include Fragcannons and the Corvus Blackstar.
>>63407877The idea of sane, civilized humans summoning an abyss in their weapons using their inborn powers is vastly different than how the Abyss is treated elsewhere, or by people using it as an argument against the Dark. It implies they literally had control over it and it was a specific condition they created for a purpose and then let dissipate.

>>63407852>I really have to question then why you didn't bring it up furtherI am. >since looking at this I did bring up the idea that a Viper could fit a Company. We don't actually know that, or even that the Hunter can fit a Company. https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/62995863/#q62998890To continue on from there but referring more specifically to the Hunter it wouldn't really have enough space. Sure the marines could probably fit somewhere, it would take a bit of creativity since space marine ships normally carry tiny (relatively speaking) crews of mostly chapter serfs whose beds the marines won't fit into. Even the larger escorts normally only get a single squad on board if any actual Astartes are there. Then there is the fact that a battle company carries with it a mess of shit; APCs, tanks, speeders, bikes, and a pair of dreadnoughts. There won't be any cargo space for all that stuff on the Hunter, what little (relatively speaking) cargo space on an escort is filled to the brim with ammo and other supplies the ship needs. >No it's not enoughThat's not the point of what I'm saying, the problem I have with it isn't that "it's not enough". It's that it doesn't make sense. A strike cruiser or an escort doesn't actually matter in terms of practicality, put the marines where they'll fit and either make their gear fit somewhere somehow or leave it safe and sound on an imperial world till we get back. We don't really NEED the Astartes in top fighting form for most of the scenarios and by the time we need them at all we'll have the Star Galleon and all the cargo space we could ever dream of. With the Viper there were some practical problems but the Hunter can put up at least a decent fight against anything that could catch up to it. From a practical/power gaming point of view it doesn't matter, it just creates a large unnecessary mess to put them in a ship too small for them. Back to the question, what's wrong with a strike cruiser?
>>63408283Only good one out of the KOTOR 1 Girls.Btw did you hear Imperial March during Ashara's Sex scene?

>>63408416Since the marines done have tanks, dreadnaughts, speeders, and what not to worry about, there would be no issue with them being aboard a smaller ship. Once you cut out all that extra baggage, the men and their guns could fit quite easily.
>>63408417I smugly ask if they need help while they try to open the pickle jar
>>63408479>Once you cut out all that extra baggageCalling that stuff extra baggage is a little inaccurate. If the scenario was less of an adventure and more of a military campaign that stuff would be vital.

On top of that, the person you replied to also brought up the point that being efficient with your space drastically reduces the amount of space you really need.On top of that, the jump already points out that yes, you do need a bigger vessel for what you plan to do. It also makes clear that you could have grabbed another vessel in the time between Part 1 and Part 2. You could just as easily say "I grab a Strike Cruiser from someone" and call it a day, but the Hunter works because it's quick and it's a good starter vessel with decent firepower that would allow you to aggressively liberate a vessel. You even admit as much here.>A strike cruiser or an escort doesn't actually matter in terms of practicality, put the marines where they'll fit and either make their gear fit somewhere somehow or leave it safe and sound on an imperial world till we get back. We don't really NEED the Astartes in top fighting form for most of the scenarios and by the time we need them at all we'll have the Star Galleon and all the cargo space we could ever dream of.By this point, it's pretty clear that the Hunter does the job all well. >>63408796That's really unclear. Rovagug (Who's essentially just a sperging qlippoth of LIFE GET OUT REEEEEE) is imprisoned by a number of good gods working with the literal devil. Aroden is dead but nobody's really sure why. I think Lissala's still around despite the fact that very few people worship her, and I don't recall whether she's less powerful because of it.I'd say fanwank it. Paizo's lore isn't really fleshed out in a lot of places, probably so you're able to fanwank in the canon setting.

There is no great shortage of the ships that are specifically designed for the role of carrying the exact number of marines we get. It barely fits the marines, it doesn't fit their equipment, and it can't support their operations. You keep saying the Hunter is fine but by what metric? >>63407137Pretty sure her being locked up in that tower was the result of the Pontiff Sulivan, not Gwyn. Still sucks for her though. All of my jumpers that roll through DS3 make an effort to help her out, if only because she so clearly and desperately needs it.
>>63409970Flip a coin. Going in as a Belmont and fighting Alucard as a human with such power should make him happy though.>When does the jump begin anyway?I think someone mentioned just a bit before Seras gets bitten, but I have no idea myself.
>>63409929They are humanity's chosen children created in our image.
>>63409649The Hunter goes after a strike cruiser, jumper and a fair few space marines get into boarding torpedoes. Two volleys are fired before the Hunter gets destroyed and all the remaining personnel are killed. A few torpedoes are blown up and a few miss, those marines are lost but a few marines and jumper manage to get onto the enemy ship. After a long and bloody battle that takes several years Jumper's group emerges victorious. Jumper and what few marines survive now need to pacify the crew and take control of the new ship with less than a dozen fighters who have no idea how to run a ship, except perhaps jumper. This isn't an exaggeration or worst case scenario, this is an extreme success that would require some serious luck and power to pull off and relies entirely on Jumper being in one of the successful torpedoes and carrying the fight.
>>63408585Damn, that sucks. Why'd you have to write such a good jump with such great choices! It's so hard to choose!Either way I'm super excited for the God of War 4 jump. I need me a magic returning battle-axe!
>>63410089They're genetic abominations.
>>63406141Native Chains are also an option, essentially just choosing some schmuck in the first jump as the actual jumper and following them rather than self-inserting.
>>63410089>>63410162There are two types of people in this world, huh?
>>63407364By being the superior stronk independent womyn in the relationship.
>>63410091Then maybe you should work your way up instead of going after the biggest thing right off the bat. You've got a lot of tools, a lot of power available in BC1, a very large galaxy to look around in, and a lot of time.
>>63410162>Being naturally stronger, faster, and healthierYour short-sightedness belies weak genes.
>>63410219All of those are lies and you know it.Do you get some thrill out of setting people up for failure?
>>63410219A strike cruiser isn't the biggest thing, it's one step up from an escort and designed for ground assault support rather than void combat. Strike cruisers aren't real cruisers, they're smaller than even dauntless class light cruisers which are unusually small and quick even for light cruisers. This is an optimal target and outcome.
>>63410273>Being sub-human mutants made out of dirty animals
>>63410290With a handful of marines and no resupply. How many times are your marines going to roll a 1?You lose. Game over. Thanks for playing.
>>63408275I like to think that I was really good at belting out theory and practical explanations and piss shit at actually doing anything. But my expospeak was impossibly boring so everyone just avoided me anyway.> Me: "Oh! You see the hand, too?"> Raz: "Yes! Oh my god, no one ever believes me! Do you know anything about it? How to stop it?"> Me: "Oh, it's most likely a manifest form of hydrophobia brought on by deep childhood memories and internalized trauma, further augmented by your budding psychokinetic wavelength, creating an unconscious realization of your own belief that water will hurt you."> Raz: "Uhuh. And how do I stop it."> Me: "Well, first you'll have to determine exactly where the original trauma occured. Then locate it within your mind and begin handling it in a controlled manner, smoothing out the waves as it t'were. Hah! Waves, I made a joke. Because of water, see? Anyway, the process is complicated, since it's an aspect of your own will combating itself, told through the lens of your own emotions, which are a heavy influencer of psychic ability! You know, it's part of why Agent Sasha locks his off so completely, whereas Milla is so in tune with hers. To become a mastermind, you must first master your mind, see? Anyway, the process could take years, and... and... Raz? Where'd he go?"> Raz is gone.
>>63410307That's part of what makes a strike cruiser an optimal target, they have all the ammo our boarding party needs on their ship. The initial main goal for the boarding to be meet the imperial minimum level of "success" is to capture a supply of ammo and Astartes grade high calorie food to get ready for the long "siege". Terrible situation but technically viable if we're willing to sacrifice our ship, crew, most of our marines, . .Yeah this is less than good.
Can your current Jumper defeat this thing? It took out the universe in one shot.
>>63410393...all the other boarding pods shot down aside from yours before they could impact, your ship being blown to shit because you chose to engage a superior opponent head-on instead of having any sense of tactical intelligence...
>>63410031I believe it starts a few hours before Seras gets ganked and converted into a vampire. If a jumper is quick they could save her, and the rest of her police buddies as well. However if that happens she's not going to become a vampire. She'll still be a blond with massive boobs though, which I suppose it enough for most people.
>>63410415Or we could just get what we fucking want here instead of barking in circles.
>>63410429Or you could die and your chain could end.
>>63410405How interesting. Well then, it should be an even fight.
>>63410290Anon you have to do BC1 before you can do BC2. If you don't already have a fucking big ass ship at your disposal you very clearly are doing something wrong. Getting butthurt over the size of the free ship in BC2 is stupid because unless you're an idiot you're going to have that /in addition/ to whatever ship(s) you had from BC1 to support it.
>All these ship nerdsWhere's the pocket dreadnought and armies every jumper hides in their asshole? Just go knock over Segmentum Solar and steal their shit to get your Black Crusade party started.
>>63410457BC1 HAS NO SHIPS YOU RETARD
>>63410415We can't get into a maneuver war, our only viable weapon is the torpedoes. Even if we avoid nearly all their shots they'll hit us with something and the shields of an escort won't last long. We need to land boarders, which means firing torpedoes, which can only be fired from the front, from close enough range they can't avoid them.
>>63410405Bruh, I can wank my Jumper hard enough for him to defeat every single demonbane and hadou/gudou gods working together in one attack.
>>63410405...the standard counter-charm for this thing is, of course...

>>63410487CruxThis thing deleted the universe.Fiendfyre aint gonna cut it.
>>63410387Blame random nonsense poison.
>>63410457The Hunter is our ship from part one anon. This fight is an explanation of what would happen if you try to use an escort ship solo against a larger ship. Best case scenario you win with catastrophic losses but make up those losses by capturing the enemy ship.
>>63410512Of course not. It's gonna BURN it.
>>63410467Are you seriously this fucking stupid? You don't need to purchase a ship with CP to get a fucking ship you autistic dipshit. You're either a major fucking chaos champion or basically the next best thing to the Emperor's Chosen Herald. If you can't just literally get a fucking ship during your time in BC1 then you are a moron of such an astounding caliber that words cannot properly describe it. You can't even use the argument of it being different jumps and your ships from BC1 not showing up in BC2 because it's literally a continuation of the same setting. So, to reply to you in kind, stop being a retard.

>>63410564>Are you sure that is wise?Wouldn't be the first time I do something stupid. Besides, I'm sure it would look great shining down upon Holy Terra. They will love it.
>>63410506>If your plan is literally just going in a head-on battle and not taking advantage of your ship's maneuverability or speed, or not picking an appropriate time to ambush or disable a target? The Hunter has two weapons, a weak macro canon turret only meant for defense against other small ships and torpedo tubes at the front which need to be fired from close range. Any ship it can take on is similarly small and fast. Cannot waste marines on failed torpedo launches, need to go straight for a real ship that can upgrade our forces significantly. Best target is a strike cruiser, go after lone vanguard cruiser as it has even less combat ability than a normal strike cruiser and will be alone. Cannot waste marines on sub optimal torpedo launches, must fire from close range to get the most out of them. Enemy ship will crush us at close range. >The Hunter is fine, you can take full advantage of the vessel's strengths to engage in a strategy or work your way up from other ships. There is no strategy, there is only one option and costs us most of our marines on the best day.
>>63410629Your autism is truly magnificent.
>>63410506As chaos everyone will want to kill us and take our shit, without a strong ship we will be crushed. As loyalist the best source of a ship is the Red Hunters chapter, who are apparently having a mysterious shortage.
>>63410629Why are you fighting a fleet battle in a scout ship/gunboat. You have friends... allies... okay acquaintances who thanks to your newfound authority could be used to get you a ship. >>63410697>our newfound authorityWhat authority do you think we have? In chaos we're an unknown with great favor from the gods, standard procedure is to keep throwing shit at the new guy until he dies (freeing up his loot) or he beats them into submission. In Loyalist that Emperor's favor thing will go a long way with the Custodes and the peasantry but most people of importance will be rather skeptical. Especially the Inquisition.
>>63410748Okay, that make sense. But out of curiosity, if you ever were to do that, would there be a possibility to become the Emperor?
