Metal dice are amazing
Fucks up your shitty woodwork so you can finally upgrade the home
Improvised projectiles in times of need
D4s are literal fucking caltrops so you can really feel like a ninja
>>
I think your post fucking sucks and you should kill yourself now post pics of novelty dice.
>>

>glow-in-the-dark dice
Kinda neat
>metal dice
Roll them in a tray or on a table you don't care about. Other than that I like them.
>transparent D6's with little d6's inside of them
Cute!
>d30s, d24s
For what purpose?
>Barrel dice
A friend had one and it never stopped rolling so no
>d100s
As a singular die, see above
>inflatable giant d20s
Fuck

What about meme dice, like a d6 with troll face, rage face, roever alone, lemonkey, me gusta and reddit alien?

This, go heavy or go home.

>Cute!

You mean horrifying. They're the gelatinous cubes of the dice world.
>>
>>63398504
Crystal d4 are the best d4s imo
They roll better, feel better to use, and don’t hurt like hell when you step on one in the dark.

Currently building a metal, glow in the dark dice. A hollow metal dice, holes drilled into corners with inserted Tritium vials. Because the numbers are cut out you'll be able see the glow of the inside very well. Currently wondering if I can mirror the inside somehow to improve the effect.

I'd love me some of those. Too bad you can't get them.

Then that's hella dope

I can see the headlines:
>man busted trading with foreign agents for nuclear fuel
>claim he needs it for a game
>>
>>63398984
Inlaying seems sub optimal to me. You'd need vials in the shape of numbers/ symbols and you'd have to counter balance quite a bit.

electrochemical nickelchrome plating?

there are places that will do it for you.
>>
>>63398504
>transparent D6's with little d6's inside of them
for when you have rerolls on sneak attack dice
>>
>>63398504
barrell dice are the only way to have odd number of faces.
>>
What about a dice that when rolled splits apart into other dice? Like a plastic fireball shell that you load up with d6s then roll and it splits open and rolls a bunch of red, orange and yellow d6s?
>>
>>63399106
Good idea, if my equipment is up to it I could probably do it myself.

>>
>>63399185
Randomness will be horrible unless it's spring loaded, in which case bring your safety squints and prepare to lose dicelets.
>>
>>63398504
I find them novel
>>
>>63399325
Why? I have the equipment/ materials to plate in gold, silver, nickel and rhodium. I might not be knowledgeable on the specifics of Chrom-Nickel plating but this is not secret knowledge. A polished Nickel plating is probably enough if the goal is simply to make it more reflective.
>>
>>63398796
its DEPLETED. as long as you're not using it to top ammo you're completely legal.

if you are, well the UN has some things to say to you about arms treaties.
>>
>>63399185
isn't that just a bakugan?
>>
>>63399752
I'm no expert, but I'd wager even depleted uranium is controlled substance.
>>
>>63399752
>arms treaties

[Laughs in American]
>>
>>63399752
Legal and obtainable are unfortunatly not always correlated.
>>
>>63399800
i looked it up just to be sure. you just need a general license as long as it's under 7kg. In some cases there's even EXEMPTION from licensing for "unimportant quantities of source material" as long as it has a protective coating. Dice would be small enough I think it would probably be the latter

>>63399902
yeah, the US uses it to top tank-busting rounds. that it then uses against unarmored Iraqi and Syrian militants, despite promising not to, to secure WMDs that there was never any evidence of existing. Because it's not the US military if you're not spending 60% of the countries budget and more than the next 10 countries combined on gratuitous overkill, but somehow don't have the money to keep your working populace healthy without them getting in lifelong debt because big pharma is paying you hand over fist to keep it that way. My hard earned taxdollars at work. Especially ironic because it was the US that pushed for the very guideline they broke.
>>
>>63398740
So when you roll those d6s, which number do you use? The one on the outside or the one on the inside? Or is the idea that you're supposed to use them to roll a 2d6 and you use both numbers?
>>
>>63400347
7kg of DU is 366 cubic centimeters. So... a cube about 7cm on all sides, or about 2.8 inches.

That's not enough for a full dice set unless they're tinydice.
>>
>>63400393
It can be either used as a d6 (with the outer number easier to read than the inner number), 2d6, or as a d6 with circumstances (such as exploding dice [you add the inner number if you roll a 6] or rerolls [you take the inner number instead if you roll a 1]).

The ones I have are pretty small and the inner dice don't really roll that well, but they're an interesting idea and pretty cheap, though I honestly think two separate dice are better for most applications.
>>
>>63399185
So basically MIRV dice? Haven't heard of those before. Almost sounds like something Todd Howard would promise to include in the special edition of a Fallout game and then not deliver.
>>
>>63400347
Im honestly convinced that the reason the us military is so overkill on these 3rd world tribesmen because its an easy way to test out evwrything in case shtf
>>
>>63398767
Take pictures and post a step-by-step on /tg/.
Or, at least let us see the final product.
>>
>>63400551
bruh what drugs are you on. my normal d6 are 1cm on each side which means if the cube is 7cm on each side you could get enough material for over 300 d6 out of it.

I find bone ones not that great, the porous structure makes it hard to make smooth even dice and they are often unbalanced, feel nice though.
Ivory is the same across all mammals though and is mostly just dentine, has a nice feel to it while being less porous and rolls really well.

Depleted uranium and even standard refined uranium is legal to buy as a civilian, it is when you are getting to fuel-grade or weapon-grade that the feds would be interested. Depleted uranium is completely safe, it's just really fucking dense and seeing as it is a by-product it is great for use in random shit cause it is far less useful and far more common than the good stuff.

>>

Can you tell me where I would order this stuff? Preferably with international shipping.

There was a guy with DU dice at a re-enactor's market I went to a few years ago, they were surprisingly cheap. He sold them before I got back to him with money. Fucking sucks.

ivory the pleb choice.
What you need Anon are Icebear or siberian tiger bone dice to truly
dominate the table with your wealth.
>>
>>63414213
>>63417857
Why not get woolly mammoth ivory? It's ivory from the superior elephant kind and totally legal.

>>63419135
I'd go with opalized dinosaur bone. This should also have a smooth and even texture. Bonus points if it is somewhat translucent and you can still identify it as bone after being cut into dice shape.
>>
>>63416215
>Depleted uranium is completely safe

Isn't it linked to Gulf War Disease?
>>
>>63421386
Shooting it through Armour vaporizes a bit of the material. Uranium is a toxic heavy metal and even depleted Uranium is not free of radiation. Inhaling super fine dust of that stuff can only be harmful to you.
>>
>>63398717

>>63422699
Yep. Breathing in metal vapor of just about any kind is probably not good for you.

Copper-beryllium, anyone?
>>

What about carving dice from the bones of your enemies specifically because you do want to roll 1’s?
