>It's clear we want to win on the track in a clean fashion because incidents like this always create a lot of controversy. My view on the incident is that it's very difficult for stewards to interpret regulations so that everyone is satisfied. What we must not do is put the stewards under pressure in a way that they will struggle even more in the future to come up with decisions. We need consistent decision-making from the stewards and we need to support the stewards in their objective to reach that.

Exactly. Nico is right.

Vettel failed to return to the track safely.

If he had control of the car then it is obviously a penalty.
If he didn't have control of the car then it is still a penalty.

He put himself in the position of not having control of the car by making the mistake so the onus is still on him.

Lads, I've just read the last thread
How do you guys think tyres give grip?
I mean, just imagine a car going into the gravel, it obviously stops because the small rocks suck in all the air creating a vacuum thus not giving the car enough downforce to move, it's not like tyres don't have a stable surface to grapple on.
Or in wet, do you think cars are so unstable because tyres don't have contact with the tarmac or because the water droplets take away air particles from the air not giving enough wind to generate downforce? Yeah exactly
>>
>>93336580

Also if we ever get a wet race it could turn out great for Ferrari.

I was at the GP and when I was watching them past by you could see Ferraris oversteer everytime going out of turn 2. Was fully expecting Vettee to bin it in the champion's wall at some point because the rear looked so unstable
>>
Anyone got link to Ted's Autismbook?
>>
>But his team mate Sergio Perez took an unwanted record. His 162nd race start saw him surpassed Johnny Herbert’s record for most starts without having a pole position. Perez’s best qualifying position is fourth, which he’s managed five times, most recently at Spa-Francorchamps last year.

Think about the flavour combinations. A creamed rice is generally a light snack or a dessert, and is often paired with a sweet, soft element (preserved fruit, honey, caramel come to mind). Green apples are generally not as nice raw as red apples, but take much better to cooking (I think some places actually call green apples "cooking apples" for that reason). Make some stewed, pureed or sauced apple, let it chill, and then serve with a warm creamed rice. Fucking beautiful stuff.

That was not an overtake area. Ham did something EXTREMELY stupid if you think about it... would have been very possible that Vet loses his rear in that situation and crashes, possibly taking Ham completely out of it. He would never get penalized though because he kept his line and there was no racing incident because of his action but his attempt to overtake there was deliberate and extremely risky, could have DNFed very easily there. Both drivers are lucky.

I agrée. Everyone is pissed because Ferrari finally had a chance to stop Merc from dominating.

The penalty is justified IMO. Vettel cut thé track and could have slowed down, he opted to maintain speed to defend his position.

5 second penalty though? I usually see equal to your time off the track. So in this case 1-2 seconds max.

Might as well make him do a drive through at that point.

Remember that this -not you- is the new F1 intended audience:

>Blacks that'll follow Hamilton to death because "he be jus' like us!".
>Women that know nothing of the sport, but are there just because "Hamilton is soooo dreamy!".
>Blue-haired-Söyboys that are there just for the drama (or because "black champion, much progessive").

Do you like F1 because of the engineering? The cars? The drivers personalities? Forget it, you're old news and no one cares about it.

Want to se WWE-bargain-bin artificial drama? The ethnic minority slap the establishment -even though Hamilton is one of the richest sportsmen out there-? Mario Kart sound efects and graphics? Well, remember to pay your F1TV subscription and keep watching!

That’s true. Yuros won’t watch ads, won’t buy branded goods, and barely go to races.

3rd World governments literally take from these poors and pay F1 for the privelage of hosting.

Just go watch a euro exclusive open wheel series. Better tracks for sure and probably better racing

What if the stewards had decided that Vettel gained an unfair advantage after cutting the corner, and thus should have allowed Hamilton to pass? Would the shitstorm have been worse?

If they'd decided that instead of unsafe reentry it would've been less of a shitstorm.
However- it's grass. Vettel had to lift on that in order to not spin the car. There's no way they'd give him that ruling since he lost a lot of speed coasting over the grass.
