he will play this season.
the game clock will be run down or stopped at appropriate times.
timeouts will be taken.
turnovers will not occur.

eight yard passes will be completed.

Goddamn it I really hate this team right now. I want to believe that with the drama gone they'll be okay, but I have a hard time believing.

The defense is a fucking wet napkin and the offense is only good when Ben wants it to be. James Conner and JuJu Smith-FortniteDance aren't the answer.

what is russel wilsons trade value
i imagine it would be similar to the mack situation where a team would have to give up high draft capital and make him the highest paid player in the league and because of the latter it would cost slightly less.
the last time there was a major QB trade was when the bengals shipped out Palmer to the Raiders and before that was Culter to the Bears. Palmer fetched a 1st and a 2nd (which could have become another 1st had the Raiders made the afc championship), Cutler was a 2009 1st, 3rd and a 2010 1st and the broncos sent an additional 5th to go with him.
lets take the giants because thats been the popular trade partner
undoubtedly the giants would have to give up 6 and 17 this year, their 2020 first and most likely another pick in 2021. while i dont think they would have to give up a 2021 1st, a 2nd - 4th round as part of a round swap, similar to cutler and mack.
the giants would then turn around and have to give wilson the biggest contract as per his demands from the seahawks. rodgers makes 33.5/season as per otc. wilson would probably get 35. maybe the giants could take the cousins route and pay him a fully guaranteed contract for a slightly lesser per season value.
even if wilson is a talented QB either his contract or his demanding trade value is going to hamstring one team, either the seahawks or their hypothetical trading partner. the seahawks wont be able to bring in top FA talent and would essentially be required to hit on every single draft pick to remain competitive and against the rams and maybe 49ers, they're going to have a rough slog either way. if youre the trading partner that issue is extra compounded because now not only can you not afford FAs but you have no high end draft capital to build around wilson.
a team is going to get absolutely fucked here
>>

I know an autistic Seahawks fan who is obsessed with the idea of them getting 3 1sts for Russ
>>
>>92090053
i dont see how they get any less
hes a super bowl winning QB has carried an entire offense, hes accurate,he's mobile, he did it all without an oline, has a good "face of the franchise" he has everything you want in a franchise QB
3 1sts feels honestly low for what he brings but realistically if the hawks ask for more than that they wont get it. i dont think any GM would pony up 4 1st round picks for anyone short of prime aaron rodgers or prime brady

He won’t be good forever, and is rapidly approaching the day where he is worth a lot less than his massive salary. If he was paid as much as Brady, the Packers would be a far better team, probably making the divisional every year. He’s a good individual talent but terrible as a team leader, which is why Brady rightfully respected over him.

It definitely helps having an elite D-line, but no, they are not "a bunch of slot corners and future safeties." Darby is a top-tier outside corner. Maddox has shown he can be great anywhere. Douglas has flaws but has demonstrated he can be a solid starter as an outside corner and should be the starter over Mills. And Mills kind of sucks but also isn't as bad as everyone says he is. All in all, the """"experts"""" think the corner back group is extremely weak and they need to draft one early, but the """"experts"""" are never right about anything.

They had Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin was buried on the depth chart for most of the Owl runs. Even now Baldwin might end up retiring which would leave them with only Tyler Lockett.

Can someone explain to me how the Air Raid works and how every single player on Air Raid teams like the Rams and Chiefs is always wide the fuck open?
>>
>>92099210
>The Scheme is notable for its focus on passing. As many as 65–75% of the calls during a season result in a passing play. The QB has the freedom to audible to any play based on what the defense is showing him at the line of scrimmage. In at least one instance, as a result of the QB's ability to audible, as many as 90%[1] of the run plays called in a season were chosen by audible at the line of scrimmage.

>Another important element in this offense is the inclusion of the no huddle. The QB and the offense race up to the line of scrimmage, diagnose what the defense is showing, and then snap the ball based on the QB's play call. This not only allows a team to come back if they are many points down as seen in the 2006 Insight Bowl[2] but it also allows them to tire out the defense, allowing for bigger runs and longer pass completions. The fast pace limits the defense's ability to substitute players and adjust their scheme. The hurried pace can cause defensive mental mistakes such as missed assignments or being out of position or too many men on the field.

>Another important aspect of the Air Raid offense is the split of the offensive linemen. In a conventional offense, the linemen are bunched together fairly tightly but in an Air Raid offense, linemen are often split apart about a half to a full yard from another. While in theory this allows easier blitz lanes, it forces the defensive ends and defensive tackles to run further to reach the quarterback for a sack. The quick, short passes offset any Blitz that may come. Another advantage is that by forcing the defensive line to widen, it opens up wide passing lanes for the QB to throw the ball through with less chance of having his pass knocked down or intercepted.

Seahawks are between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, I suspect that the Seahawks will never win another Superbowl with Wilson - he is good, but he isn't good enough to justify the massive cap hit he wants. On the other hand, if Wilson leaves the Seahawks will have to gamble on finding another good QB.

He has not come out and said that, it’s all speculation based on how talented and productive he is. It’s all the media hyping it up and you’re eating up their bullshit. There’s no reason to believe he wants to be the highest paid qb until it’s announced by Seattle or russel
>>
>>92103632

It sucks now but a lot of the Brady/Brees era players are about to retire and much worse QBs will be making more than him in a couple years. I'd never willingly go back to QB hell, it's still a huge advantage over the rest of the league even if you're paying for it. Schneider's drafts have been holding the team back way more than Wilson's contract in recent years regardless.
>>
>>92103684
Hmm... I see your point. I guess if the Hawks can ride things out until the rest of the league is forced to give good but not elite QBs huge money, it might work out.

He was with Lynch. And Baldwin has his stats super inflated because of Wilson's scramble and toss it down the sideline patented move. The problem the Seahawks have is their offensive personnel is shit or now their play calling is atrocious. While their defense crumbled to age and they've failed to draft their replacements. That whole team is a mess but they are banking on "almost there" versus "Never going to win again".

I honestly don't get all the people who are saying Wilson isn't worth the money. either a top QB is or isn't. Wilson is there with the other highly talented qbs in the NFL rn. In terms of physical raw talent I'd put things Wilson can do in s category with very few other QBs in the NFL currently. I'd say Rodgers Wilson and Mahomes. All constantly get away with stuff NFL qbs shouldnt and have the most pure talent in the nfl

Otherwise you would be talking about boring ass golf and the dumb nba. Oh yes, it was Russell with muscle who kept you entertained. Never was there a doubt that he was going to come back to seattle. Never once. But you didn't know that.

No, you spent a week talking about where he was going. One of the New York teams, Vegas by way of whereever the hell the raiders are playing this season or even to the redskins. Lol. You were all played for fools, Russ was never going anywhere. You see, this was his plan. To get people to talk about him. And it worked. You were all worked into a shoot.

His nickname should be Russ the riddler as he kept you all in the palm of his hand while he placed puzzle pieces all around you. You thought it was a roll of the die, you thought it was a coin flip you thought you had a chance to be right and will him else where but STOP, you're wrong. He confused, baffled, misled, and prestiged your asses all the way to the bank. Heh.

Well, it's done, let's see what happens. They need to be a SB contenders within this 4 years, or the Wilson's extension will be perceived as a waste of money. There's a lot of pressure over Wilson and Hawks right now and that could be a good thing.

>WIlson staying with the Hawks

Based. Wilson's contract was never the reason for the Hawks's decline. Trading away high picks, having horrid free agencies (dude let's sign Blair Walsh, Eddie Lacey and Luke Jockel), and drafting Ifedi and Malik Mcdowell hurt the Hawks more. You can't replace Russ.
>>
>>92106011
>dk about top3, but Seahawks easily had a top5 passing defense

except they didn't. PFF had them ranked 20th and I don't see any passing/pressure stats that they were better than mediocre in except tackling.
>>
Which is most likely to happen?

A. Patriots let Brady walk in FA 2020 and tank for QB Trevor Lawrence

B. Patriots give Brady an extension before the season starts for 3 more years total

C. Patriots let the 2019 season play out to gauge how well Brady plays and then re-signs him if he plays well.

D. Brady shows Russell Wilson who's da boss and beats his 2019 contract value by 1penny

I believe it, Most Athletes are Assholes,

ran into dak at the golden nugget for the 2016 Super Bowl, tried to say hi, he didn’t even glance my way, so I let him be watching him gamble from afar interested in seeing how much he wagers, stood there for about 5 minutes before 15 security guards surrounded him and I was told to leave the area, I then seen about 10 fans 2 of them wearing a Dak Jersey try to go up and talk to him only to be escorted away by security, but my uncle who HATES the cowboys says cowboys suck and Tony Romo is a homo, dak hears this and invites him to play craps with him... he also says he admitted to not ever liking Tony Romo, don’t know how true that part is tho,

My dad also met MJ back in the day, says he was the biggest diva wouldn’t talk to you for anything and if you asked him for a picture or auto he would just scuff at you.

Also we were once onfield on a off day with a field pass (about 30 people) in 2014 and the entire cowboys roster got lost heading to a meeting and had to go threw the field to where they needed to be, Jason Witten was running ahead of the rest of the team and a kid (about 7) throws a football his way, he swats the football down and it hits the kid in the face and dude never stopped running to the meeting.

I’ve also met Dez And Miles Austin they were super nice and chill,

I guess it works for some on-field having the mentality that they’re better than everyone else I imagine it’s hard to turn on and off.

Bills seem locked on secondary with one of the best safety duos in the league & White at CB. Not to mention the freakish tall Mainechild deterring shot across the middle. DL is a deep class, hard to go too wrong there. While Hockenson is supposed to be one of the best TE prospects in quite some time, I have a real fundamental problem drafting one in the top 10. Just seems not worth it, I'd prefer OL or even LB there.

Josh Jacobs is the best RB in this class, but I don't see him going before the 20s. Wouldn't be at all a bad choice in the 2nd round, but there's no Barkley or Elliott in this class.

Positions by first round talent in this class, roughly:
DE
iOL
DT
TE
OT
LB
CB

Anything after that isn't worth drafting in the first round.

Wait, why the fuck isn't Jim Plunkett in the hall of fame?

>Number 1 overall pick
>Rookie of the Year
>2 rings
>superbowl mvp
>comeback player of the year

LITERALLY 2 RINGS AS A STARTING QB
>>
>>92114656
he wasn't good tho
>>
>>92114656
he was largely garbage with the team that drafted him, had a late career resurgence and won some rings with the Raiders, but was never consistent. literally a worse eli manning

It was the Oline's fault for letting the eagle defender tip the ball. half of the entire defense got past the Oline and if Parkey was half a second slower he would’ve been tackled. It was 0% his fault, it was all the shit offensive line who will continue to be shit into next year when the bears go 0-16

>>
>>92117946
I know it got ruled a block but that doesnt take away from the fact that your boy missed a million kicks throughout the season and no Bears fan had any faith in him making a kick from that distance under any kind of pressure
>>
>>92118070
He literally made it straight down the middle before the timeout. He said that it felt like a good kick. If he was behind a better Oline it would have been good
>>
>>92118051

Poor Steve Wilks. Dude was set up to fail from the start. Browns got a steal in him, everyone in Carolina loved him and swore by him.
>>
>>92118013
The coach's success will determine the fate of a lot of jobs in the organization. The QB is more familiar with his coaching style and brings electricity that will increase ticket sales. Rosen wouldve been fine but at this point you've gushed about this QB too much to keep him in the locker room.
>>
>>92118105
Him making the first one made it feel like he REALLY wasn't going to make it
>>

>wow we just had the worst record in the NFL because we have the worst roster in the league, how do we fix it?

What is the max percent of the cap that you guys think a QB should occupy, because right now Wilson is taking up 19 percent
>>
>>92119032
Unironically 1.89%. 1/53rd of the team.

That’s still 3 million a year with a full cap
>>
>>92119032
Depends on how good they are
>>
>>92119305
yes, a QB is just as important as a long snapper or a running back
>>
>>92119032
10% ish sub 15% and that's if they are 100% bonafide elite proven winners and stats getters. none of that Andy Dalton or Stafford mediocre- above average QBs that get PAID these days.
