Patriots and Seahawks gonna clean up in 2020 with their haul. Ravens get a 3rd and 4th even with the ET and Ingram signings and the Giants will have some ammo too although I think the Golden Tate signing cancels out that 5th rounder

Dolphins are the team that I feel like would genuinely take a swing in the 1st for him

Hockenson. More complete player

Fant is a great athlete but I'd compare him to Evan Engram. More of a move TE with + athletic traits than a high end player at this point. Don't know why it sticks in my head but there was a play on the goal line Iowa vs Penn State at the end of the 4th quarter where Fant didn't see the ball snap and was slow off the line which lead to the game ending interception. Honestly just sticks out in my mind that lack of awareness in such a critical moment. I still have him above Irv Smith as my TE2 but only because the ceiling is higher for him. He's not a finished product
>>
>>91472562
They don't tho... Only fantasy football centric media pushes the meme. 4-3 coaches want 4-3 ends and 3-4 coaches want 3-4 olbs. 4-3 coaches also want pass rushing DTs and 3-4 coaches want the heaviest strongest NT available + two DEs that can gap control both sides of the OT. Completely different front 7 philosophies and only a minority of players are perfectly interchangeable between the schemes. Occasionally a 4-3 olb will accel at 3-4 ilb but it isn't a given because they have more traffic to get through in the run and are asked to play more man coverage than in typically zone centric 4-3s. Likewise the best fit for a 4-3 DE might not always be the "edge" of a 3-4 for instance, Justin Smith played DE in both schemes but was not suited at all for olb. No fo addresses "edge" in such vague terms on their draft board.

Hot take: Giants are a better team in 2019 with Golden Tate, 1st round pick, 3rd round pick and Jabrill Peppers than they would have been with OBJ

I've seen OBJ play live in person in New York. I watched him torch the Ravens for 200 yards I know how good he is but this draft is crazy talented especially on the D line and at WR. This trade was the right move for NYG

do you remember that Raven's game? I do, he was being blanketed by Jimmy Smith until he went down with a season ending injury in the 3rd quarter and then when he went against one of those shitty 3rd string CB's the ravens had for years like Shareece Wright or maybe someone even worse, it was only then that he started balling...when he plays against the elite CB's, he is always exposed, he only makes plays when he lines up in the slot against nickel CB's

You're honestly right its just that in one calendar year the giants went from thinking they were contenders to full rebuild and they passed on a QB last year. Plus this is NY so they're drama queens anyways and spent every year tom Coughlin wasn't actively winning a SB trying to get him fired. So they're crying its the WORST trade ever but its not its just the best move in a bad situation. Last year was low key probably one of the biggest whiffed drafts tho and saquon will be a hated man in NY no matter what he does and is an injury away from getting traded tbqh.

OBJ also was injured iirc. Came out in the 2nd half and torched Tavon Young something fierce. Could see it coming a mile away though Dean Pees barely even gave him Safety help over the top which is what lead to his game winning TD in the last two minutes. Fuck I'm glad we have Martindale

Still, I don't see him doing too much damage against the Raven's this year when he will actually have to deal with 2 elite CB's covering him no matter what side he goes to...can't fucking wait for the Ravens-Browns rivalry to get real this year, its gonna be lit.

I was at that game and it's actually the play before that that sticks out in my mind. Eli hit Larry Donnell for what could have been a first down if Donnell had just kept running straight, but Donnell tried to juke the guy and ended up short of the yard to gain. God Donnell was so fucking useless outside of the red zone. Fell down every time he caught something.

this is just because he only played 11 games, though. he averaged nearly 30 more yards a game, partially because the run game was so nonexistent. 2017 was obviously a much better season but statistically Wentz' 2018 wasn't a bad year.

the 1st browns game was the most frustrated I ever been at a game especially when Craptree missed that game-ending catch...the last game was one of my favorite games I ever watched for the elation of Jackson styling all over the defense in the first half, to the anger at the slow building comeback of the Browns as I kept thinking, "not again this year, you can't do this again," to the emotional ending with the division-winning INT by mosley...can't wait to see what they do together next year

NO besides bourbon street is a complete 3rd world shit hole. It was way way worse before Katrina hit and pardon my french but i'll use the term the locals use "ran the n*ggers out"

All those poor horrible black people came to houston and san antonio and stayed in football domes. Basically refused to leave, started squating then were forced to leave when football started. There's actually a crime spike when they showed up in houston and SA. Now they are all in Jail, because it's texas, you don't want to pan handle here or they'll throw your ass on a work gang.

Other cities to avoid, Anywhere in Michigan is pretty much shit, same with missouri just meth there everywhere, NYC has some bad parts, Baltimore meh, it's not really bad at all.

Generally the fly over states have it the worst. There's a difference between Los angeles poor and kansas city poor. LA poor you live in a small apartment with a roommate and shitty car, Kansas city poor you like in a shack with 5 meth heads and car out in your front yard. Someone usually will die in the winter in your house hold.

>NO besides bourbon street is a complete 3rd world shit hole. It was way way worse before Katrina hit and pardon my french but i'll use the term the locals use "ran the n*ggers out"

You have it all backwards

1. Bourbon Street is total shit. During the day its shit. At night its shit. During Mardi Gras its shit. It's total shit. The only idiots who go there are tourists. Everywhere in New Orleans besides Bourbon Street is pretty awesome: the rest of the French Quarter (the down river side Decatur is where the locals hang out, Royal is one of the nice streets in the world), Marigny (Frenchman is the main strip and everyone prefers it over Bourbon and they are just a few blocks apart), Bywater (St Claude or Franklin is the main drag but the whole section is amazing), Uptown (St Charles Ave is amazing, Magazine Street is mindblowing, Oak Street is awesome, Maple is the strip closest to the universities, and Freret on the other side of the universities is the newest great strip to blow up out of nowhere), Midcity (Canal Street, Banks Street, Bienville Street, City Park, Esplanade, the whole area is incredible), Lakeview (Harrison is the main drag and it's nice), West End/Bucktown (side by side on lake both have marinas and a restaurant district), Old Metarie (Metairie Rd is the main strip), Algiers Point, Treme, etc etc. All of these places are incredbly nice. New Orleans is incredibly blessed with all the nice areas it has, and all of them are protected US Historic Districts

(cont)
>>
>>91474608
>rush to Miami to finish 2nd-3rd in the division
Or
>sit in New Orleans and pull in easy millions while being mentored by one of the greats
>added bonus of possibly easily coasting to a superbowl ring
It's not that hard to understand desu
>>
>>91474662

2. New Orleans *is* much better post-Katrina, but not because the blacks left (they are still there and if you don't know where you are going you can end up in an all-black area pretty easily (but even they have a great strip called Oretha Haley Blvd and there is all kind of great places to eat in the black sections if you don't mind looking at black people). The reason it's better after Katrina is because a lot of the old farts left town to move to the Northshore or further up the river (Baton Rouge has exploded, for example) because they were scared of what a hurricane could do to their property (at the time the levees protecting the city were only built to withstand a Cat3, not they are upgraded for Cat5 but it took a while).

With all the Old Farts moving out, a lot of gorgeous historic sections full of awesome old school architecture and homes blew up with young people moving in replacing the Old Farts who left (both local young people who stayed and young people who came to town to help out). In particular, Midcity and Bywater have gone from MEH to absolutely amazing parts of town because of this. But even the rest of the great areas have benefitted. For example, before Katrina, there wasn't much in the way of microbreweries. Now they are great hip brand new ones all over the city. Same with urban gardens. We didn't have any of that before Katrina, now they are all over the place. Basically as the young people replaced the old, the young people attracted a lot more cool shit than the old people did

If i were a betting man, I'd go all in on the Browns

The moves they are making are more than casual. They are making serious moves. They have also had several years to improve their team with top round draft picks.

Sort of reminds me of the Houston Astros, which had 3-consecutive seasons of 100+ losses, then won it all a few seasons later.

Baker Mayfield is the truth, and Cleveland's roster on offense, defense and S/T is no joke.

They are young, hungry and have several key contributors on rookie deals which is how the Seahawks seemingly came out of nowhere in 2013 to run roughshod over the league.

Browns/Chiefs will become the new Pats/Colts rivalry over the next 10 years.
Mahomes vs Mayfield could produce some epic battles.

Even if Flacco finds new life, who the fuck is he going to throw it too?

>>91474819
I began to suspect this when Tebow was cut. Colorado's population has grown so much and enough weren't around to remember Elway's prime days (at his height he was practically a demigod figure in Colorado), so his cultural influence would be threatened by a charismatic young QB that he didn't groom himself. Signing Peyton Manning gave him a veteran who could have a sunset tenure with the Broncos and wouldn't diminish or overshadow Elway locally.

His young QB choices were all huge busts though so he has to go back to finding a veteran on a sunset tour. Even if Flacco somehow balls out as a Bronco, it wouldn't really matter because he'll always be a Raven, just like how Manning was always a Colt.
