Source for these numbers is Muso an anti piracy group so probably in their interests to make them seem as high as possible but still.
browne, haye, oquendo, the first two when people still thought they had something left in them.how good a run would it have been, and where would he rank?
>>89422095smells like bullshit desuthis was at $75 which is lower than usual right?anyway, the biggest piracy deterrent is reasonable pricing and the high ppv prices in america do more harm to the sport than good
>>89422096Honestly Bellew fed off Haye's name, that was more Haye than Eddie. The thing you really have to take your hat off to Eddie for is the outrageous stunt of convincing people to pay £20 for two B level heavyweights in Whyte vs Parker, and then managing it again with Whyte vs Chisora. Increcible.
>>89422095Don't know how they would measure that accurately with so many sources. This is one of the problems PBC will face if they want to churn out PPVs at $75, streams are more accessible than ever but if it's $10 for a legal stream then more people will be prepared to pay if the fight is good
when is he fighting linares?
What did he mean by this?
>>89422299He means with a hammer, gypsy rules
>>89422127Probably next seeing as Mikey wants to go get banged out by the best welterweight in the world.Pointless imo but there's no one else to fight
>>89422299Juicin J don't want that smoke
>>89422323He could fight Hooker. Linares at 140 now
>>89422299aj duckin big john
>>89422340Broner vs Linares would be entertaining
>>89422360Not likely to happen with competing networks. I meant Hooker vs Linares. Berchelt could move up and fight Loma
>>89422340Hookers a bum, the division needs some new blood
>>89422381He's a world champion, all the new blood is the WBSS
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6reTvgmx7c0Based. He's back again.
How can one man be so bitter lads?
>>89422573It was shit until last 4 rounds
>>89422630Don't care, I'm one of the biggets manlet boxing hipsters around and I can still call a spade a spade. If that wasn't a great fight what is.
>>89422573He's a plonkerMust feel like a right twat completely dismissing Fury before the fight
>>89422573@7min, it's definitely a click-bait title and he's pretty respectful desu
>>89422117It was higher than usual. Most ppv here are around 60-65 dollars.
>>89422573>Wilder adding fuel to the controversy even though he's subtly hinted at wanting to cash out early and has nothing personal against Fury>Fury scouting out giant arenas because he knows Wilder's shit stirring will make the rematch biggerBased Wilder and Fury are playing 9D chess while Hearn is still stuck in the 2D plane.
Interesting Tbh, out of left field.
>>89422695He looked fucking awful in his last fight, Hughie looked even worse and he won the fight but he'll get absolutely battered by any decent HW in the world
>>89422573It's a click bait headline. He said the fight was dramatic but not great because there weren't a lot of punches landing
>>89422686this desu. Both Wilder and Fury are now in bantz mode trying to stir up a bigger interest in the rematch.Like when Ali implied Wepner called him a nigger in order to drive up ticket sales.
>>89422713Nah he looked pretty sharp and is obviously on every PED there is. He won't beat the top 3 but he'd give anyone else a very good fight. There's a reason Whyte ducked him.
>>89422672>>89422714He's still trying to be as sneakily negative about it as he can possibly be without outright calling it bad. Bitter bastard.
>>89422722wasn't that because Pulevs promotional company kept outbidding everyone by a massive margin and forced all the potential opponents to take the challenger purse split of 25% and not because they couldn't beat him
>>89422748Nothing to do with the split, Whyte just refused to fight because he didn't have home advantage. Still a duck, if Wilder refused to fight AJ despite making less money there unless it was in America imagine how that would go down.
>>89422713t. Seething Gypsy
>>89422746Same interview he says he spoke to Tyson and told him he was wrong about him getting injured and he won the fight. Can't be that bitter if you speak to the man yourself.
>>89422722Big Baby Miller also ducked him don't forget. Outright refused a final eliminator to fight Bodgan Dinu instead.
>>89422765not sure you can call that a duck really mate
>>89422765Whyte made a lot more money fighting Parker, IBF split was 75/25 and if he beats Chisora he becomes a mandatory anyway. Same for Miller there's a better path. Nobody wanted to fight Joe Joyce because he hadn't earned his spot to make it worthwhile, that's the business
>>89422822Again, imagine if Wilder refused to fight AJ unless it was in America, British fans would be calling him every name under the sun. Whyte doesn't get to get away with it because he's British.>>89422876Excuses. Call it a better path if you like but it's still a pure and simple duck. If it had been in the UK Whyte would have taken it.
>>89422896>Again, imagine if Wilder refused to fight AJ unless it was in AmericaHe effectively did when he rejected $15 million and they moved onto Showtime owning the show. That's not comparable to Whyte's situation though when he had 3 options that were the same and had no real obligation to fight Pulev
>>89422695TR is trying in any way they can to be part of AJ payday
>>89422896>fights a better opponent for more moneynot really comparable to refusing a unification and if you think British fighters don't get called out, particularly here, frankly you're deluded
>>89422970>That's not comparable to Whyte's situation though when he had 3 options that were the same and had no real obligation to fight PulevNo, that's rewriting history. The Parker fight was a last minute bodge job because they bottled the Pulev fight when they didn't get home advantage. I 100% guarantee they would have taken it if they felt they could win.>>89422996Again. All they were talking about was the Pulev fight until they didn't get home advantage then they threw their toys out of the pram and the Parker fight came totally out of nowhere. They had to go and find a fight they thought they could win instead.
Kell Brook gonner it im with the chocolate braaney
>>89423025E's reade, Edde
>>89423044E's an ungre lion
>>89423011Why would he go to Bulgaria on a 25% cut? Whyte was the bookmaker underdog against Parker and he made more money, what everyone else would have done. You're either thick or consumed by Matchroom seething if you expect them to take shitty options.
>>89423101Lol exactly. No one wants to see Pulev fight anyway. The man is literally a cure for insomnia.
>>89422360Broner at this point would die trying to make 140.
>>89423161I honestly believe broner was taking diuretics to get down there in the first place. Look at how he was dwarfing fighters.
>>89422713He looked awful because he took the safest gameplan and took no chances, he didnt have to grab after every jab but he did anyway, and patiently he broke the shitter down, it was a good performance, good cardio, form and his chin proved to be solid
>>89423180You enjoyed that fight?
>>89423193Im not going to go along with the retarded argument youre trying to make
>>89423101They expected Pulev to do the same. It's ok when it's the foreigner opponent but when the shoe is on the other foot they bottle it and pull out. If we as fans start accepting every time a fighter bottles a fight for financial reasons we only have ourselves to blame when that's what they do.
>>89423208You're the only one who enjoyed it. Hughie Fury is shit tier and Chisora only fights well when he's pushed. Pulev is basic, always has been. His record is padded with Mongolian bin men. We all saw what happened when he fought an elite fighter.
>>89423244>We all saw what happened when he fought an elite fighter.Same with Dillian Whyte.
>>89423208>>89423193Pulev is the last of the old style European shitters. Big stiff grab and jab bums. What HWS does top rank even have besides that one guy who went the distance with wlad?
>>89423244What does me enjoying it or not have to do with anything you brainlet? He defeated Fury soundly with a jab, Parker lost to Hughie. He still has a chin and a gas tank, tough opponent for anyone thats not the top 3
I rewatched the fight and gave Wilder 3 rounds. The 3rd round I gave him could've easily gone to fury, but I was looking to give him something. If not for those two kd's, this would've been a clean 120-108 type fight.
What price point would you buy PPVs for anons?I think I could say that for £9.99 I'd probably buy all of the good ones. Would take £5 for me to buy the shittier ones like Haye Bellew II or Whyte Parker. It's ultimately just about which events I want to support at this point because there are crystal clear 1080p acestreams for all of them these days. I certainly won't be paying £20 to watch AJ knock out another bum.
>>89423282see>>89422985TR's stable is irrelevantPulev could get $6/8m vs AJ atm, maybe more
>>89423320The two kd's is a bad look though so it gives a lot of casuals and brainlets ammo to argue that Wilder was 'in the fight', when he really looked confounded most of the time. I'm also starting to suspect that Fury is a chinlet.
>>89423324To be honest I'm happy to pay £20 but I only buy the elite ones on at a decent UK time. Last year that was Wlad AJ and Brook Spence, this year it was Eubank Groves and Usyk Gassiev.Won't pay money to watch any of the other trash they've been charging for or something on at 5am.
>>89423324about £20 a month isn't bad I guess, don't have any subscription services though since Boxnation announced it wouldn't get Canelo GGG 2 + I don't have Sky or BT so I guess i'd pay more for ppvs than the average fanIf you think you'd get good ppv's for £10 or £5 for Haye Bellew 2 or Whyte Parker you're nuts btw
>>89423324£9.99 is reasonable I think. Agreed, unless it's a card littered with good, world-class fights which, let's face it fast car will never deliver, I'm not paying £20 to watch AJ making Pulev take a shit in the ring.
>>89423347Fury took a left from Wilder after being knocked down in round 12. If he's a chinlet, then everyone else is made of glass.
>>89423364>If you think you'd get good ppv's for £10 or £5 for Haye Bellew 2 or Whyte Parker you're nuts btwI don't necessarily. But if they charged that much they'd get my money whereas since they charge £20 they're not getting any of it. Thing is in isolation £20 a month isn't bad but when I can get it all in perfect quality for free and I know what I'm being served isn't elite why pay at all.
>>89423388Reminded me of Tyson Douglas a lot Tbh
>>89423320The3rdround? Besides 9 and 12 I think that 6 & 7 are the closest to wilder wins
Reminder that /ourguy/ will end the Pacmeme and the Pacfags once and for all. Be sure to lend him your energy!
>>89423388To be fair that left was a slap. But the right hand has put how many dudes away prior? You can't argue that Fury can't take a punch. He got up and fought better after the second knockdown.
>>89423424I struggle to give Wilder 3 rounds lol.
>>89423347>survives two KDs from objectively the hardest hitter in the division >chinlet
>>89423424for what it's worth I had Wilder getting the 9, 12 (obvs), 4 and one of 6 or 7 can't remember which
>>89423444Refreshing to see an American say this.
>>89423435I'll be lending Pacman my energy, django. Get off my forum.
>>89423444The first kd was weak. And the second looks like it was staged. So maybe he's just an actor and not a chinlet. But the way he fought vs. Klitschko was also like a guy who was afraid of his chin getting touched. I think he's hiding glass.
>>89423532He's a heavyweight. Why even take the chance of eating a punch - especially a punch from the heavyweight boogeyman of power punching.
If Usyk moves up and beats all these big slow guys will he have GOAT status?
>>89423347Fury isn't a chinlet, he's just not that athletic and has a weak base. Its a strange combo since he is a really skilled boxerIt's really easy for him to fall over or get off balance
>>89423721Yes. But he won’t
>>89423739He won't move up? Or he won't clean out the division?
>>89423747He won’t beat all the giants. No way he beats fury for example. He’d eat jabs all night just trying to get close enough to touch him
>>89423443>>89423458Tbh I don't think I can give Wilder anything in the first five rounds.>>89423471>>89423532Still, no one hits as hard as Wilder. He must have a better chin than Ortiz...
>>89423776He's much faster than Fury with better technique. Usyk will out-box him.
>>89423793>Still, no one hits as hard as Wilder. He must have a better chin than Ortiz...i doubt that, hes just more evasive, ortiz took a lot of punishment before he was defeated
Based Usyk will become undisputed at heavyweight FOH
Wilder vs Duhaupas was the best showing of the Wilder Windmill KO barrage. Imagine if he used that shit against Fury.
>>89423933Fury doesn't just stand in front of him with a high guard
>>89423347In what way is Fury a chinlet?
/ourguy/ made it on a billboard in New York >>89424029He literally died in the ring. Power of Jesus brought him back
>>89424069Dogbae will left hook the entire division into the shadow realm
>>89424069Yet his legs were fine and he was able to jog to one end of the ring. A chinlet would have been shaking even after getting up.
>>89424133>>89424133Find me a more based duo >>89424135Power of christ my guy
>>89423794nah, that doesn't happen.Think Lewis vs HolyfieldLewis being Fury, Holyfield being UsykJust a lot worse for for Usyk.
>>89424069He literally ate it and got back up to keep on fighting just fine, not to mention Wilder is the hardest hitting HW.
>le fury has no chin memeliterally every pro at the higher weights gets knocked down in their careerwhat's more important is how they get upcan't believe I actually have to reiterate this to people here.
>>89424173>>89423794>implying anyone's eyes would be able to keep up with Usyk vs Fury>ends in draw because judges couldn't process the fight
>>89424231Usyk is probably too short desu. I don't see how he'd get inside agianst Fury.
can someone please impersonate floyd
Imagine if in some future timeline Joe Joyce vs Dubois is a PPV with titles on the line. Shittiest promotion for a PPV ever?
>>89424231Fury would just lean back, Usyk wouldn't be able to touch himFury said he'd do the same against Povetkin (Usyk's level and height)

>>89424430he has brain damage
>>89423424Round 2 is a clear Wilder round.Anything else is either clear Fury, had a knockdown, or even
>>89424437yeah but that's such an overreaching termis the brain damage oh haha i forgot I had coffee xd silly me it's cold now xdor has he been McClellan'd?also why is it always super middleweights and light heavyweights that get hopsitalised like this?
>>89422087Why can't you spinning backfist in boxing?Fucking ridiculous.
>>89424510Because I'd spark your twink ass out with a patriot's left hook if you attempted it
>>89424345But fury is pretty elusive himself
I fucking love Ortiz lads
>>89424460>round 2 is a clear round for WilderNo... it really isn't. Wilder landed less than 9% of punches thrown and missed a lot. Why would you at least bring up believable rounds like 6/7?
Is he truly 400-years-old, fellas?
>>89424733Based man with the box of chicken bones.I've had it enough with Ortiz. So many chances to fight Rios and he keeps fucking it up.
>>89424745TO THIS DAY

>>89425163118-110 scarred GGG. It made him think that the only way to beat Canelo was with a KO which is impossible since Canelo has a good chin. He should have ducked the rematch. Fuck giving GBP an extra payday.

>>89426411nobody would remember him if he didnt move up
OH NO NO NO NO
How do Boxing events work? Are they like stand alone events that people assemble by themselves or is there an organization? Is there some kind of "ufc"?
>>89426430Maybe a dumb pleb like you wouldn't.
>>89426545ofc he would be remembered by fans but he wouldnt be a legend like he is now if he didnt btfo SRL at welter
>>89426506The UFC is both a promoter and a sanctioning body which awards belts. That was made illegal in boxing so we have them separate. Promoters organise fights for titles they don't control.
>>89425877Imagine if mikey garcia win against errol and went 15 with ggg
What happened to boxing in Chicago? Why doesnt this shit hole host any big fights anymore, considering it was an important center in the past?t. Chicagoan
>>89426653>Imagine if mikey garcia win against errolsoon we don't have to imagine anymore
I've heard rumors that the ppv did poorly in the UK. Apparently the BT sport website crashed
>>89426665bruh same with Detroit, both are shitholes now
>>89426579what's the most important belt? if you want to chronologically watch important bouts.
>>89426738lmao don't focus on just one, the important ones are wbc, wba, ibf, wbo
>>89426665Cause there hasnt been a good fighter from Chicago and promoters in the US have stopped building fighters in their hometown for many tyears but kept putting on fights in NYC/Vegas.Same thing happened with Boston, it used to be a big fight city but now it is completely irrelevant
>>89426738There isn't one to make life easy unfortunately. Great fights can be for any of the belts or for no belt sometimes while there are also shitty fights for multiple belts all the time. They're pretty meaningless in boxing.Easiest way is just to look at the greatest fighters best fights
>>89426738the lineal one
What's /box/ take on this? For me>Bivol>Gvozdyk>Alvarez>Beterbiev
Pretty poor compared to Fuji boxings usual NYE offerings, and far worse than the Macau card.
>>894268501. Bivol2. Alvarez3. Beterbiev9999999999999999999999999999. Gvozdyk
>>89426854missing out on both Inoue and Murata fights this year
>>89426854That Macau card is the best NYE card ever imo and in the conversation as being one of the better cards of the year, very very strong.
>>89426845I have only watched some matches like foreman vs moorerpacquiao vs floydtyson vs wildertua vs lewistyson vs some guysfloyd vs conorMaguila (one of our heavyweights) vs foreman and holyfieldI think I watched holyfield vs valuev and it felt like he got robbedtyson vs holmestyson vs lewisAli vs frazier I thinkAli vs foremanI might be forgetting some fightssome highlights as well of course
>>89426858This is correct, also kovalev isn't retired yet if alvarez wins the rematch he's #1
>>89426769That's not exactly true. Crawford fights in nebraska, Wilder used to fight in alabama, the saucedo juts lost in his town. Broner has fought in ohio a couple of times. The big fights all require the big venues just for money.
>>89426938Those are a pretty good start. The common entry level fights you've missed are the ones involving Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Thomas Hearns and Marvin Hagler. They were all some of the best ever at their weights and all fought one another in some very famous fights in the 80s, they're all great and worth watching.
>>89426931Yeah that card is stacked
>>89426938Idk why you keep coming back here but if you really want to do some your own homework and don't assume the sport is organized like the ufc or is anyway remotely similar to mma Also go watch holyfield v toney
>>89426419It would be stupid because they'd all break their hands everytime they fought.
>>89426938Just remember to tune on Jan 19th to watch The Problem spark out the filipino flop
>>89426955This trend has only recently shifted, but it has been like that for the last 15 years. And Crawford is almost a lonely exeption because he's promoted by TR who know what they are doing (although they put a lot of fights where they didnt belong as well in the past); Wilder and Broner fought in their hometown for B/C tier fight and should have fought there more often.
>>89427070I get that he's entertaining but he is literally the biggest bum in boxing. Why waste time fanboying for him?
>>89427095He just wants reactions as well as the meme potentialAdrien Broner is a bitch, and he's gay
OUR QUEEN IS BACK
>>89427076>Wilder and Broner fought in their hometown for B/C tier fight and should have fought there more often.Yeah like I said it because they need more money to pay for the bigger events. Realistically they will never have big level fight happening in omaha or birmingham since they won't make as much money.
>>89427095>>89427134I am a legitimate fan of Broner. Just cause you mugs are sleeping on good fight, doesn't mean others will
>>89427160I'm going going to knock you spark out if you keep up this charade
>>89426711It was on way too late to do well here. Not many people are gonna spend £30 on a fight on at 5am
>>89426850>Bivol>Alvarez>Beterbiev>GvozdykGvozdyk is pretty bad honestly, hes extremely clumsy/sloppy and stiff
>>89426738The only title more important than the others is the lineal title, seniority of the sanctioning body is not parallel to how "good" they are.
>>89426850>Alvarez>Bivol>Gvozdyk>BeterbievHonestly, for all I know Alvarez could be as good as Bivol, and Gvozdyk as good as Beterbiev, but I know at the very least Alvarez and Bivol would crush Gvozdyk and Beterbiev.
>>89427226Beterbiev is definitely a tier above Gvosdyk
>>89426854>Takuma Inoue picking up the WBC interimUh oh, is Inoue planning on getting heemed by Nery?Is Naoya gonna have to avenge his brother's death as well as Yamanaka's?The drama at Bantamweight is good. Can't wait to see the rest of the 118 WBSS.
>>89427160It's a good fight no doubt and I'll absolutely be watching but it does have the feel of two has beens so is hard to be excited for. The budget RJJ vs Trinidad.
>>89427235If he is better than Gvozdyk it's not by much.Beterbiev and Gvozdyk are both a cut below elite tier. Beterbiev is a one-dimensional glass cannon, who doesn't even really have the power to truly use it as a crutch to bail him out, and Gvozdyk is an amateur who still can't seem to adopt a style that works better in the pros.
>>89426665Our best fighters are Granados and Fonfara, absolute whosThere was a decent DAZN card a few months ago though. Every 6 months there's usually a fihgt at UIC Pavilion or that one out in Schaumburg
QUICK! You have 10 seconds to think of a more bummy fight that could be made in boxing today.Protip: You can't.
>>89427312Truly awful, puking in my mouth a little thinking about just how deep a level of shit this is.
Based. Litterally none of this years's inductees deserved to enter. Marquez, Calderon and Paz (who howerver is american) deserved it much more
>>89427176I don't get that feeling from this fight. Some of the most exciting fights I've seen this year are from lower level fighters and these guys are somewhere between a and b tier. I don't get why /box/ even complains about it being ppv. Everyone here uses streams and is going to stream it regardless of whether it was ppv or not anyway
>>89427312Victor Ortiz vs Brandon Rios
Whyte vs Chisora should be £9.99. How can you with a straight face charge the same for a fight between a guy AJ has flattened and a guy Fury has made look like an amateur as the fights of those legit champions.
>>89427302Yhat DAZN card was decent. There's never anything high profile here though. It's too bad.
>>89427349The history between them makes it almost fitting that their fight is a bloddy shitshow at the end of their careers. Allen vs Browne is just two fat area level lumps who should be fighting in front of 200 poeple.
Guys, this bum on the train keeps trying to tell me he's p4p #1, is it true?
>>89427348I unironically paid for Wilder v Fury and then watched by myself. Then my dad came down during the 2nd round of the main event and watched it with me. I'll be at Buffalo Wild Wings with the boys for Loma v Pedraza though

this may be a stupid question, and i think i already know the answer anyway, but i'd like to ask it regardless:boxers get hit in a fight repeatedly and stay up. then eventually they get knocked down or out. is the main reason they finally go down the abuse they've taken all fight, or is it more that the KO punch is just the first punch of the fight that was hard enough?to rephrase somewhat.if this >>89427226 was the exact first punch of the fight, would kovalev have gone down all the same because it is sort of the perfect punch, or does he go down because he's already spent 7 rounds out there fighting?
>>89427497>that head to headPlease try to justify this
>>89427358To be fair to Whyte he injured his left shoulder after rocking AJ. The first first between Chisora and Whyte was great too
I think Kovalev still has a chance at beating alvarez. He was winning the fight till he got caught. It's weird cuz I just watched the HBO highlights and they make it look like alvarez was dominating the whole
>>89427621>boxers get hit in a fight repeatedly and stay up. then eventually they get knocked down or out. is the main reason they finally go down the abuse they've taken all fight, or is it more that the KO punch is just the first punch of the fight that was hard enough?Fatigue reduces punch resistence and also make you easier to hit cleanly becasue your reflexes and speed are slower. So a combination of both.
>>89427726I feel bad for Krusher desu
>>89427726I think he needs to take rounds off to rest or even give away the first 4 and try to finish him later maybe

>>89427967That isn't what I meant, but ok
>>89427653Gvozdyk has the best feet by far, hands just as fast as Bivol's and coma-inducing power. Beterbiev is past-prime and basic. If his chin was granite I'd have him higher but I think the others are quicker on the trigger and wipe him out with countersI'm not super confident though, I don't think any of them will dominate the division like an Usyk or whatever
>>89427967He has said that the Simakov fight weighs on his mind
>>89428040Wilder is a nobody. Will be consigned to oblivion once Fury schools him again and Joshua smashes him up
>>89427863That's what I was thinking. On rewatch, alavrez boxed very smart. He was much quicker and landed very sharp counters. Kovalev looked like he was trying to hurt him rather than box. Kovalev is also 35 which I forgot.
>>89428040Wilder has been so pathetic after this fight. He lost and he needs to man up about it. Mr. "No excuses" can't stop crying and making excuses.
>>89428040Why is Wilder such an entitled fucking crybaby? Maybe he has a point, it’d be cool if retired American boxers supported current boxers in general. But Floyd or anyone for that matter don’t owe anybody shit. He wasn’t even a hater during the fight, just honestly called out how Wilder was getting outboxed and something would have to change fast for him to win. Wilder’s handling this whole thing like shit, fuck he’s annoying
>>89428052Idk what else you could've possibly meant and you've replied without explaining yourself so I'm just going to assume you're fucking retarded>>89428138It might, it might not I know that guys family was pissed. His corner should've pulled him out tho honestly
>>89428303Fuck off bitch, suck my cock. Faggot.
Floyd is a Republican individualist who believes in hard work and skills paying the bills. Wilder is from the gibs generation and wants everything handed to him and isn't even grateful when it is
I'm fucking mad fuck this shit
>>89427726If he was winning the fight before he got caught it was by a ridiculously small margin. In reality the fight was competitive before Alvarez caught him, it was a top class fight, the problem is that Kovalev is only good to fight for about 6 rounds, after that he gasses out. When they rematch it's a guarantee that Alvarez will win if the fight goes any longer than 6 rounds.
>>89428236At the same time though... Floyd probably put a cheeky bet on Tyson winning. He bet on him in the Klitschko fight
If I pay to get taught at a boxing gym will they make me doing boring shit like running and push ups? I just want to learn punching techniques, footwork, spark someone out with one punch etc

What he wants is stardom, he wants people to know his name. You don't get your name out to people who will want to watch you fight if you tell everyone "Yeah, he's right, I lost the fight". Saying shit like "Floyd doesn't know how to score and is just jealous" or "I got 2 knockdowns, you all saw it, I won the fight!"You faggots are bigger crybabies than you try to make him out to be.

>>89428456>you’ll never like himExcept I actually kind of did and was rooting for him to win, actually win by knockout or legitimate decision. Not a bullshit rigged draw. Obviously he’d like to promote himself, do you think desperately over-analyzing the 10 count in round 12 or shitting on a pound for pound all time great and whining that he’s not nice to him is a good way to appeal to the large groups of people? Do you honestly? A lot of people who support Wilder also like Floyd. If that’s how he feels what does he gain by complaining about it?
>>89428456He got a fucking gift - he knows it as well as anyone, hence all the excuses. He should shut his monkey lips and train harder so he doesn't look like such a fool in the rematch

>>89429858Kan Krusher lost against every A-level fighter he faced.
>>89424505I'd guess they're hardest punchers that still have to weight-cut and still have a reasonably high punch output (and i'd speculate maybe 10oz gloves are more concussive)
>>89428040To be honest Wilder is right about Floyd. He's a very jealous person who copes a lot. Deep down, Floyd is not convinced of his success even though he shouldnt be but people never liked him and that's why he will never have the self confidence to compliment his old adversaries or modern fighters. Just look at the way Tyson, Foreman, Duran, Leonard speak about their old rivals. They know they are regarded as one of the greats and that's why they are never hesitant to give out compliments.
>>89430821>even though he shouldnt be*should be

Wilder will think the Stoned Ape refers to his right hand.
>>89430367He is the future of boxing if he even has half the talent of Tyson
>>89433097You mean there's more to UFC besides Mcgregor and Tenshin?

>>89433197tf you think spence is making 24mil??
>>89433097>PPV event>Main event fighters are making 6 digit figuresMMA is a meme sport.

>>89433097That's what happens when you have one dominant player in the PPV market. Boxing promoters can't get away with take it or leave it contacts because there are a bunch of them competing with each other
>>89433276>Furys talent comes from being the biggest fucker in the division and the fastest as wellwhat? Furys talent comes from being the best boxing talent in the heavyweight division. Best head movement, best foot work, best boxing combinations thrown well and not just swinging like a retard like Wilder, or swinging like a robot like AJ. Anyway back to Tommy, if he has the knockout power plus the Fury training and upbringing and looking like a model he will run boxing, only thing holding him back is the light heavyweight divison being dead.

Only reason Tyson falls behind on AJ when it comes to casuals is because he's not good looking.

>>89433359I used to feel bad for them but at this point I think they deserve it, they know they are getting fucked and wont do anything about it and are complete brainlets. Literally all they got to do is as follows, lets say Cormier and Jones and Brock and Ngannou. They fight out there contract, then they approach someone like matchroom, goldenboy etc whoever they want. They say we are going to give you 15% of the ppv for setting up the event like boxers do, the venue broadcasting etc. They have Ngannou jones, Cormier DC and fill in the undercard with a few fighters, pay them 40k each or something. They will sell 800k ppvs at minimum, each take home around 20 million give or take. But they are brainlets and deserve to barely make a million.
>>89433359>Why do UFC fighters enjoy getting raped? It's not like they have much choice. MMA is the only place those schmucks can go, and of course they can't say anything back against their overlord Dana. Cage fighters aren't smart people. >>89433391I apologise, Broner is a based negro but Fury should be making way more>>89433389His foot work is lacking but slick hand speed, great power and likes to brawl. Good talker as well but he is a light heavy weight which will hold him back a lot, I think he is around 6 foot

>>89436086you can only dominate the division in your own era though, so it's a retarded questioneach era learns from the past one so obviously ali would dance circles around Louis and any heavyweight of that time because slugging was popularalso those guys were built for 15 rounds so they'd get canned by the units from the 80's onward because those fighters take more muscle into the ring with them as they fight for less time

>>89436086Nobody who compares heavyweights from different eras is saying they're the "best" in the sense that they could beat all the modern ones if they could time travel. Imagine more they're saying who the "greatest" heavyweight ever was.
>>89436086>Wlad Klitschko>Vitali Klitschko>Tyson FuryNobody from the 1990s and before could handle any of the top heavyweights of this era. As the other two guys said, there's really no contest between the modern superheavies and the guys from before.

>>89436157The PBC's original model was unsustainable lmao that's why they aren't still doing it. I'm honestly not sure it even did them that much good either. The same can't be said for the fallout of May-Pac and GGG-Canelo 2.
>>89435608Stop misusing that word
>>89436543They still occasionally see things right like with Wilder Fury. Interesting that you'd be one to talk about bias because for someone who's fairly knowledgeable you're one of the most pro brit homers I've come across, you quote direct promoter arguments all the time. >>89436591I was fully on Mayweather's side throughout that rivalry and yes I found Pactards unbearable and at times so racist that even I was offended, but the Flomos have mutated into something even more loathsome since then. I think it's because they are accustomed to having always dominated the sport but now perceive themselves losing their strangleholdGolovkin fans were nowhere near as bad as the Pactards and Flomos. Much fewer in number and nowhere near as obnoxious. I can see that there may be a racial subtext to white Americans continually backing white(ish) Europeans over their black countrymen thoughAnd I have no problem with people kicking up a stink over injustices like the Fury and Golovkin robberies. People will die on their sword to defend Pacquiao and Pactard bullshit, years after the inciting incident, yet I can't find a single Wilder fan on here, Cuckkit, Boxingscene, or otherwise, that genuinely, truly believes that Wilder won. Yet I can find sooooooooo many people who will sit you down and regale you of tales of how Pacquiao beat Mayweather and Marquez FOUR TIMES but got robbed or cheated. You can't tell me that Pactards aren't the biggest cancer to ever plague this sport, and it's a shame we're still not rid of them.

>>89436711Like you said, that's just retarded casuals, White and Black. /heem/fags will try and convince you Tyson is the GOAT.
>>89436642Who are you? Fucking based. Bowe could have been the greatest of all time I'd he only stayed away from too much cake.
>>89436659You don't need an MBA to understand someone has to pay for it. DAZN are the only ones paying and have since spent on Golden Boy, most shows don't sell enough tickets or draw tv ratings and they have no big sponsors.
>>89436689>>89436594i personally only watch AJ, PBK (pretty boy kelly) dillian whyte or tony bellew fights
>>89436086I just realized your were talking about hws in their prime. If that's the case, Riddick Bowe would indeed be the best HW. I dont see anyone beating a prime Bowe, not even George or Holmes.
>>89436689I call out the American promoters all the time thank you very much. They're all fucking awful at doing business together. The only times I get annoyed are when people start to claim Bob is better than the rest of them when he's obviously not, or when people baselessly claim American cards are shit.Hearn has been a net positive for British boxing sure, but I hate a lot of the bullshit around his operation. All based around storylines and completely biased versions of events that make the average British boxing fan completely disconnected from reality. He's turned boxing into something you enjoy for the event rather than what's happening in the ring which is quite annoying. Matchroom has such a weird cult of fans who just believe anything he says that we have to be better than that and call him on his shit not just parrot his lines like you have a habit of doing.
>>89436747Should have said Dave Allen is your favourite fighter to top it off lad
>>89436753hes my favourite personality but i got a bit turned off his skills when he couldn't KO that frog bum andy yogi or whatever hes called
>>89436750I don't have a Twitter account and I don't bother watching Hearn's 30 min iFL TV videos so I guess I sidestep most the rhetoric and can just judge him on his actions in isolation rather than weighed against he and his fanboys' claims and promises>All based around storylines and completely biased versions of events that make the average British boxing fan completely disconnected from reality. He's turned boxing into something you enjoy for the event rather than what's happening in the ring which is quite annoyingIf that's what it takes to draw new fans and new money into the sport then so be it. I prefer a full stadium of casuals singing Sweet Caroline to a half empty gymnasium populated by moaning old fogies and tinkers menacing the few ordinary fans who showed up. Plus I think you're attributing some of Sky Sports' faults to him, when really he is only their employee rather than vice versa. The funny thing is that when interviewed during a card he often gives a more critical analysis than the pundits
>>89436750>parrot his lines like you have a habit of doing.Like I said I don't even watch his interviews unless they're aired on TV during a show. You might be attributing some other Anon's posts in this general to me. I only defend him when someone (usually you or some American) is going overboard with the criticism or holding him to different standards than other promoters
>>89436852>You might be attributing some other Anon's posts in this general to meVery possibly, the Brits can be quite hard to tell apart especially in the busy times. You stand out most in your more detailed posts.
>>89430367Ugly and looks like he's on the gear?
>>89436700>I can't find a single Wilder fan on here, Cuckkit, Boxingscene, or otherwise, that genuinely, truly believes that Wilder won.Thats bullshit, /box/ is a wilder fan safespace, you could find many people who thought Wilder knocked out fury or he outpointed him or some shit>these were ALL ironic!/bait!Thats a ridicolous assumption that can be dissmissed

>>89437195On what platform? ESB?
>>89437222The ESPN show has a pretty nice undercard but I think I'm going to watch it the next day. First time I've not stayed up for Loma in a while but I can't do it two weekends in a row any more, and those Top Rank ESPN shows are always full of dead air
>>89436999I think I used to completely blend in but we've lost a couple of Brit regulars lately

Anyone reckon Kelly might be biting off more than he can chew with Avanesyan? He was competitive with Peterson not even two years ago
>>89425708Honestly, GGG is still one of the most entertaining boxers we've seen in a while, and his reign of terror was really something. But unfortunately, people that weren't there will look back and won't get it

>>89437339No Lomachenko is scheduled to fight at 1.30
If Ioka beats Nietes where does he go in your p4p lists lads? Has to slot back in somewhere 6-10 without doubt.
>>89437383Oh okay. That's really early, guess I will watch it live then
>>89437401In Ring Magazine's ratings I'd put him at 9 ahead of Spence
https://www.ringtv.com/549523-ring-ratings-update-tyson-fury-rises-to-no-2-in-heavyweight-rankings/From the comments:>Dumb. Anthony Joshua defeated a rejuvenated former champion Klitschko - fighting more aggressively than he had done in years, he defeated top contender the undefeated Joseph Parker, earlier he had stopped a now-top rated Dillian Whyte, he stopped tough former top 10 rated Carlos Takam and, of course, he is the only man to ever stop highly-rated Russian Alexander PovetkinFucking British casuals, man.A win over Wilder and a younger Klitschko is somehow worth less than a win over an older Klitschko, Parker, Whyte, and "former top 10 rated Takam".

>>89437564I ask you then, does Errol Spence deserve to be in the top10?Nietes would be a great win (who is the 10th best p4p boxer according to Ring) and he's already an established 2 division world champ

How comes nobody has dabbed in the ring during a big fight?
>>89437575>nandroloneLmfao. AJ is on a 24/7/356 HGH+Testo regimen
AJ is literally the Overeem of Boxing. Take away his juice and he's gonna be a useless bum.
>>89437588LomaUsykGGGCleneloCrawfordGarciaInoueRungvisaidon't know about the last two, but it certainly wouldn't be Donnie Nietes or Ioka if he beats him, looked absolutely gash last time out and only won because the cards were riggednumerous amounts of boxers with resumes better, honestly Bivols win over Barrerra or Alvarez' over Kovalev are more impressive than beating Donnie Nietes
>>89437677Buatsi and Hutchinson are certainly not
>>89437682Fury should be 9th. Who has a better couple of wins than Klitschko and Wilder?
Promoter idea: Make Deontay Wilder lose 12 pounds (was apparently 209 on night of fight against Fury so 9 pounds) and make him fight Usyk.Wilder would knock Usyk out in the 11th round and then promote how Wilder is p4p greater than Fury because of how much weight he had to give and then in fact promote Wilder as the winner.
DAS RITE, LOMA IS RACIShttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZrPYUiMNV8Is this gonna end up being Loma's "Kovalev monkey shirt with Stevenson" moment for the black boxing fans?
>>89437708There are no good British fighters
>>89437714Fury would be nothing without his size. He doesn't belong on the p4p list
https://www.foxsports.com.au/boxing/deontay-wilder-reveals-mistake-that-cost-him-win-over-tyson-fury-after-rewatching-their-title-fight/news-story/749c7929dc29b7a538cbb422b91fad9fWilder says his plan is to get to 245 and catch Fury while he's ducking. What do you lads think? I think it's a dumb plan since Fury already knows that's how Wilder caught him, and bulking up will only make Wilder slower and gas him out quicker. "Unga bunga hit harder" might not work.
AND HE WAS A GOOD FRIENDhttps://youtu.be/2ilRtGcyv4Q?t=1006>Loma will never cheer like that on you
>>89437858You sound like that midget that got a flash knockdown before getting battered unconsciousHe's practically the same size as Wilder and AJ just fatter. His real advantage is his cardio and speed for a big man
>>89437872That's fucking stupid. Go up to 225 or something, but 245 is way too big for Wilder, he gets knockouts with speed, not with weight. How does he think he caught Fury slipping the first two times?
>>89437730Gvozdyks ukrainian isn't he? I don't get the problem, it's just a bit of banter celebrating with his mate and countryman
>>89437872>>89437946it's not only that, but to put that much muscle so quickly can be dangerous. That's literally an additional 15 % of body weight when you are already 33. If he puts on fat it doesn't even make sense. If he actually does it, absolute madman, I am betting my house on Fury.
>>89437922Aj and wilder have spent their entire careers beating up on smaller men. Having to fight someone furys size fucks em up
>>89437872Yes it's retarded, he already gassed at 209 winging shots. If anything he should work on his jab and cardio
>>89437970klit was about as tall as AJit's not constantly fighting short arses that is wilders problem, he's just shit
>>89437993Klit was visibly smaller than aj. Not just height but weight. When your entire career is punching down at shorter men its harder to adjust to someone of furys size
>>89437968If Wilder puts on 33 lbs of fat, then we're gonna get the black man equivalent of Duran's "No Mas."
>>89437970Absolutely, same with Wlad. AJ had no trouble with Povetkin, Parker, Takam, Whyte but old man Wlad spun his head right round.Fury does better against big men because he's both faster and longer than them.I reckon Usyk is Fury's kryptonite
>>89437946I think Wilder's ideal weight is 220. 245 is stupid and 210 was too light imo
>>89438021>the black man equivalent of Duran's "No Mas."that was Rigo already.
>>89437970To be fair to AJ, he and Fury have sparred in the past. However, AJ would rather fight Wilder over Fury.
>>89437730>cuts off>doesn't cut it offObviously just banter
>>89438024disagree with that desu, Povetkin gave him loads of problems early on and he couldn't quite find the target as well as he usually does against Parker (ref takes the blame for that as well) whereas vs Breazeale who admittedly is a walking punching bag he absolutely decimatedplus he's not a reach baby unlike Wlad
>WBSS might get cannedAt least finish off S2 first. Why don't Brits want to buy the whole event? And what's with these "bonuses"? I thought winners/losers in the quarters/semis/finals were paid a locked in amount. I was wondering why the venues haven't been announced yet. The semis were supposed to start in February.
>>89438067And Fury was a klitschko sparring partner but that didn't really help him out did it. Meanwhile look at aj's recent sparring partners, bakole and dinu. Both smaller guys.
>>89437730Loma should have cut off that Adonis button because the WBC was also too pussy to cut him off. That faggot was a rapist and a pimp who only got 4 years of jail time, and he should have never been allowed to box again. Any other decent organization would have distanced themselves from this clown. If anyone thinks there's some sort of agenda against black boxers because Fury and a couple of Slavs happen to be good, then they're just lying to themselves.
>>89438117Bakole's a massive unit what are you on?
>>89438135Smaller than fury. You can't prepare for him
>>89438099I thought his gameplan was terrible against Povetkin, even so he got the better of him quickly after that rocky start.Wlad on the other hand outobxed him for much of the fight, had him on the canvas and gassed. He barely made it out of that fight, definitely his toughest
>>89438099Doesn't matter imo. Someone with as vast exprience at the heavyweight division as wlad couldnt adjust. I don't think Joshua could either especially when Joshua enjoys having a significant size advantage over his opponents
>>89438117he also uses Mariusz Wach and Fraser Clarke, used to use Joyce and Pricey his sparring is fine
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bp6gsCyjU0Chawklit bwownies weighing it at 150.5 pounds. He could probably still make 147. He really wants that Khan bout.
>>89438179Wlad actually fought wach but wach is slow and stiff and still shorter than fury with less reach. He doesn't even weigh as much as fury does. Fighting against fury takes these guys out of their element. They don't know how to fight as the smaller man. They've never had to
>>89438262so what you're saying is Tyson Fury is unbeatable? ;^) unless we find a 7ft Tyson Fury? Or a 7 ft Wilder/Joshua
>>89438107>Why don't Brits want to buy the whole event? The quarter-finals are spread out too long, takes up too much of the schedule>I thought winners/losers in the quarters/semis/finals were paid a locked in amountNah in the quarters for example everyone gets $1m guaranteed and then the winners get an additional $500k
>>89438287No one is unbeatable. Its just that his size poses a problem to other guys used to being the big man. I honestly think wilder might be a bit better off in the rematch now that he has the experience
>>89438335Huh, so it's the same format for S1 with $1M quarters, $2.5M semis, and $8M finals with bonuses. Thought they'd lower it since they're doing manlet weights this time around. I hope DAZN can somehow fund the tournament or something. They need those dates filled.
>>89438441I hope Dazn can throw some money at them. Otherwise Dazn loses like half of their boxing events next year.
>>89438475The WBSS is literally the only promotion in boxing going out of its way to make the best fights it can. It'll be a massive shame if it fails
>>89438516Right? The only reason usyk and gassiev even fought last year for an undisputed championship is due to this tournament
>>89438475WBSS is 14 shows a year, they'll still have 50+ plus shows a year. 11 Golden Boy 16 Matchroom US 16 Matchroom UK 4 or 5 Matchroom PPV 16 international shows

>>89437252Based>>89438107I think "bonuses" is code word for pre agreed upon under the table payments to fighters bribes to judges (see bredis/gevor) stuff like that. Kalle is a fucking coke head playing with what I can only assume are some very shady people's money. I assume in some cases for the purposes of laundering it or dodges taxes or whatever. He seems like a pretty slick guy I'm sure he'll work it out but this stuff is gonna happen
>>89438367He has to come in heavier, he kept missing when Fury was bobbing and weaving, needs weight behind his punches when he's looking for a big one
>>89438198>He really wants that Khan boutWasn't Khan 154 in for his first fight for Eddeh?
Is Wilder the hardest hitting HW since Mike?
>>89438767I can't wait to see how the Pacfags react when Broner KOs him.
>>89438992mike tyson hit very hard, but i think compared to other bigger heavies at the top level his power isn't particularly exceptional, he just excelled at landing devastating accurate counters and combos to maximum effect, often being very fast uppercuts or hooks at close range and high power which most heavyweights aren't accustomed to dealing with making them extra effective
>>89438999Lets just say they'll be ASS BLASTED
>>89438992He's a top 5 one punch ko artist at heavyweight
Can you guys give me some advanced solo boxing drills? Even advanced combos I can use on the heavy bag? I'm well beyond jabs and crosses and hooks and footwork. I also do a good bit of conditioning drills with plyometrics thot. But my training is getting a little monotonous and I don't have a trainer to get me beyond my level. I guess I'm just looking for some advanced footwork/combos beyond intermediate 1-2-3-pivot-2 and 1-2-1-6b-4 etc. Maybe some advanced ladder drills or reaction drills I dunno
how can i improve my chin lads?
>>89438992Mike wasn't really a very hard puncher honestly... Its speed and timing that got people. Anyone can get knocked out by a punch they don't see coming. It's guys like George Foreman, whose punch you can see coming but still knock you out through your gloves that are truly powerful.
>>89439146Neck exercises and training your self to keep your chin tucked. It wouldn't hurt to do heavy squats either, while remaining flexible in your legs, to help absorb impact from hard shots
>>89439146Let your mate jab you 10 times a day for a week, then 15 then 20 until you're immune, then have him move on to the straight right a build up your tolerance until you can do 50 hayemakers a day
>>89438966Khan believes he could make 147 better than Brook. Not only that, Khan wants a rehydration clause as well, if the fight should happen.
>>89439146Shake your head every time you get caught
>>89438992He probably have the hardest straight right ever.Currently Joshua have the strongest uppercut, Povetkin the strongest hooks and Wilder the strongest straight right. Also Wlad hits harder than Mike Tyson.
>>89439812lel why do rich blacks do this
/heem/ tourist here. Why are Wilder and Fury doing a press tour AFTER the fight? Its rather unusual for me and Ive never seen mma fighters do this.Is it common practice with boxers or is it a sign that they are aiming for a rematch before any other fight?
>>89439812top kek, daft bastard
>>89439944common and it's because it's their job to get arses on seats as they get a percentage of whatever revenue the fight brings in and they want to increase itit's not a sign they're going to do a rematch
>>89439944Never happens. My guess.... They're keeping the ahype alive for a rematch

>>89440115It's considered a destructive device by the ATF and yes in certain states you can actually have one. You don't need a "permit" but without getting too far into it there a couple minor hoops to jump through and for something like that would very VERY expensive. Wilder is a black heavyweight Cletus Seldin
>>89441545They try to line up what's good for Haymon with good for boxing. Wilder can't fight Breazeale because it's too much of a step back on money, Joshua fight isn't right with a cloud over it and he'd lose leverage if he had to do it for money and Tyson Fury deserves the fight. Whyte could complain because he'd have been 2nd mandatory even if he beat Ortiz but he's going to get the Joshua fight anyway so doesn't matter.
