>>10289474there are many attractive intelligent people, but not all of them care to spend their effort on math and science. This is purely based on intuition and personal experience, but typically I’ve found that the physically attractive ones tend to use their intellectual advantages to excel in the social game. They’ll usually be at or near the top of whatever social group(s) they’re involved in, or they’ll use their enhanced mental capacity to thrive in their jobs/careers/hobbies, or pretty much anything they do. Intelligence is sharp, and it penetrates in any direction it is pointed. but what drives humans is usually more mundane or fatuous, less pure than the drive for knowledge/understanding. Success in maths/sciences requires both intelligence and the motivation to sink hours and hours of effort into studying and learning. Perhaps uglier people are drawn to it because their looks push them away from the everyday struggle for dominance in the social hierarchy.also:>tfw no high IQ nerd gf
>>10289538There was a study that showed that good looking people excel in finance more so than less good looking people.
>>10289538>what drives humans is usually more mundane or fatuousThe most powerful motivators for men are their love interests. Obviously, more attractive men, who have more of a shot at a woman who they would die for, will try to pursue life goals that ensure their getting such a woman. Less attractive men have come accept their fates, so they use their intelligence to pursue just what interests them, and them alone. Hence why nerds do math and science.

>>10289474Ugly people are good at Math because it's all they have. Attractive people have too many distractions to care. But attractive people are usually smarter genetically so it's kind of a waste.
>>10289545While that's true for any field, finance is kind of bunk, almost as bad as econ, so it makes sense.
